I always love coming here. I had a friend out from Canada who wanted to try authentic Mexican food. Though he said the salsa was way too hot for him he absolutely loved it. I always get a variation of the fish tacos when I come here. The beans and rice that come with the meals is always flavorful as well. If you are looking for a good fish taco at a fair price, come here.

Ok..so here goes the cliche...Straight hole-in-the wall 😎 If you are looking for esthetics and 4 star appeal..NOT here... BUT...restaurants are about the food...and the food is GOOD! Had three different dishes to give them a fair opportunity 2 out of three is not bad in my book 😎 Gave the 4 stars because the service was attentive and friendly 😊 Had a Mojarra Frita 🐟(Good 😊) nice size and well cooked - Also had Empanadas de Camaron 🦐(💣💣💣) total MUST TRY! Lastly, had Cucarachas (Fried Shrimp 🦐) Not roaches 😂 These were MEH tbh I've had way better but it's all good...maybe it was their off day for shrimp 🤷 So yeah, if you're brave enough to venture away from the strip and can handle the rough neighborhood you're bound to enjoy this spot 😊 Price is a bit high relative to the food and amenities but it's Vegas...they import everything so yeah 😉 Enjoy!

Talk about seafood Mexican cuisine- this is a staple in the Vegas area. We had a long night prior to coming here at around 10 am on a Friday so we were the first ones here. We started out with an order of 12 oysters. Then we all ordered separately. We ordered the 7 mares soup, an asada plate with shrimp and chorizo on a molcajete (4 of these), and a torre de mariscos en salsa negra. We really were wowed by the portions and the prices. Flavoring was on point and overall we had a great experience. If we ever have the chance to come back to Vegas, we are DEFINITELY coming back!

I come to Las Vegas for the food. This was our first new restaurant, and it exceeded expectations. I had the octopus in a spicy red garlic sauce and my son had a ceviche. Both excellent. As a bonus we had a great conversation with two other diners. This is definitely what it is all about--a wonderful meal with great people. We will soon be back.

Tried this place out and I gotta say it’s some of the best seafood I’ve ever had. I had empanadas de camaron (shrimp empanadas with pico de Gallo) and I was blown away. Delicious and fresh in flavor. I also had their caldo de camaron after a long night of living my best life in Vegas and was brought back to life by this stew. I was seriously tempted to order every dish that passed our table. With food that great and service that is prompt and friendly, I’ll definitely be back many many times.

This place is amazing. It is a hidden gem behind the Auto Zone on Charleston and Maryland. I found it because I was looking for a Siete Del Mar Caldo (soup) for my wife and this one had excellent reviews, and now I know why. It was delicious, and very large, so unless you are sharing it with someone, expect leftovers. We also ordered the Molcajete Familiar. This had shrimp, chicken, steak, chorizo, and of course cactus, jalapenos, avocado, and cheese. It was served with homemade corn tortillas that were amazing as well. The empanadas were fantastic, and we soon discovered that for 2 people, all this food was a bit much. It's ok, lunch for tomorrow.

Good little spot. Very reasonable prices for being a seafood joint. Don't get to excited when the mariachi band walks in, they'll play for about 3 seconds and then stop, will only continue playing for money! The Michelada was very good as well. Suggest going early because it gets packed real quick .

The food was good the service could have been better. They took about 10 mins to get us water after we requested them. From what I can tell he was waiting for the alcohol drinks to be ready which is it the best way to deliver.l drinks. When they dropped off our Molcajete they didn’t include plates first. It took him 5 minutes after delivering our meal before we got plates. Busy or not we had to keep asking other server to get our server when we needed something. Not once did he ever stop by for refills or to see if we needed something else.

Hands down the best! This is the best service we have had the entire weekend that we have been in Vegas. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We had a party of 10 and waited only about 10 minutes. The serving sizes are generous, the food is delicious and doesnt take too long to be served. If you are looking for delicious Mexican food off the strip for reasonable prices, this place is a MUST !

My favorite marisco spot when I visit Vegas. It's hidden tucked away in a little corner but the food is really good. I've recommended this restaurant to friends and family and they have always called me back to thank me after they taste the food. You won't be disappointed.

Really good food. Was kind of hesitant because I was told it was gonna be a 25-30 minute wait. All I can say is this place is well worth the wait. The only issue I had is the waiter wanted to charge me an extra bucket of beer that I did not order. Other than that really good food! Check your ticket before you pay.

If you blink, you'll miss it. This little corner of a rundown strip mall is a real gem. Clean and inviting once you get through the front door. Very friendly staff with a tasty seafood menu. Don't be mislead. This is not fine dining, but it is casual fare done well. Glad we made this visit.

Being tired of Las Vegas buffets and overpriced restaurants, and longing for a good Mexican meal, my friend and I went to Mariscos, which we happened to find searching the Mexican food listings. It was a little hard to find - one can easily drive past the non-descript strip mall on Charleston and Maryland Parkway - but we were not disappointed. It's a small, family-run restaurant, just a few tables. Our dinners were so good that we came back the following night! The service was excellent! The servers really went out of their way!The portions were large, one main course is really enough for two. The ceviche is outstanding, great shrimp empanadas, mouth watering camarones in a garlic onion sauce, and their refried beans were oh-so-good! (And the corn tortillas are made in their kitchen). We tried several dishes - all excellent. The food could be ordered mild, medium hot or hot. My friend (from Australia) ordered medium, but that was a bit of the hot side for her, so if you're not used to eating spicy hot food, perhaps go for mild and add hot sauce to taste. I sure wish there would be a Mariscos here in West Hollywood - and in Sydney, Australia! Thank you, Mariscos, for the wonderful culinary experience! Anne & Carol

There are two things that you need to try here, camarones Juan and the filete relleno. The menu is pretty expansive so there are still multiple dishes I haven't been able to try yet. Playa Escondida is definitely top tier mexican food in the downtown area.

When i first entered it was crowded so I'm excited, hostess stops me right there ask what did i need... So i ask for their shrimp empanadas... She explained the order comes in 3,6 or dozen... So i know my coworker had orded a combo with only 3 that's what i asked for... Of course i get the runaround..coworker (black female) me (black male) ... I've ordered before from this place during lunch and it excellent....not sure what changed so not certain if I'm going to recommend it to my friends and online followers @marvalous_promotions_ if anyone knows of another place that serves shrimp empanadas please let me know...
