My favorite Steakhouse in Las Vegas. Staff is always very welcoming and friendly. Place looks small from the outside but once you walk in, there are different sections and it’s very well set up. Alex was our server, he was super nice, efficient and he was very helpful explaining the menu to us. BEST LAMB CHOPS in Las Vegas! These Cherry Lamb chops were ridiculously delicious! The sauce complimented the perfectly cooked and juicy lamb just perfectly. Oysters were small but very fresh. Cocktails were the perfect strong level and super delicious, I had the “Porn Star” (very fancy) and it has its trick when drinking lol. I also had their Moscow Mule. Alex gave us some delicious sweets after dinner, we were stuffed with their amazing food! I definitely recommend this place when visiting Las Vegas if you want a nice, fancy, romantic and delicious dinner.

This is the sister property to Herbs and Rye (which I’ve been to many times and love) but this is this first time we decided to come here. Very hip place with a great location and great service. We came during happy hour but made the mistake of thinking everything was on happy hour. So we just went to town and got everything. Uh-oh….don’t do that. Be careful and look at the details such as items marked in red. Needless to say it was still amazing. Probably the BEST steak and seafood we had in quite a while. I had a ribeye and she had surf and turf. Along with a seafood platter and some drinks. Ended up close to $500. No complaints tho

Hidden gem of a steakhouse in an unsuspecting strip mall. It's tucked in the back and they're undergoing renovations so it's easy to miss. Didn't think this place was what I was expecting at first but once you get in the door all perceptions change. The ambiance and decor are sophisticated & dark. The staff is amazing. Tasty handmade cocktails at the bar that also has full service. Each dining room offers it's own unique design. Pricing is pretty reasonable for this type of place and I was super excited to try the brand new menu item chard octopus

Cleaver has a wonderful atmosphere and a friendly and attentive staff. What I found very interesting is that people from all walks of life and age ranges can be seen here. By that I mean, sometimes you walk into a place and there’s only young people or only older people. Here it’s a melting pot of ages, ethnicities and genders. The food was delicious, served hot and exactly as ordered.

Cleavers is just amazing. Went on a mom and son date with my boys and we had decided we wanted steak. And Cleavers was definitely the place to go. From the moment we went in, the hostess who greeted us was very friendly, he asked if we had a reservation ( you must make a reservation, it's so much easier and this place can get really busy), we said yes, and within 3 min we got sat. The server we had was very professional, very friendly, and explained the specials, offered appetizers, she was very helpful through the entire time. Everyone was just on point. Our waters and drinks were always filled up never went empty. And as soon as we finished eating our plates were cleared. The atmosphere of the place is just beautiful. And the food was delicious, not a single complain. I had two very happy boys😁 We had spicy muscles for appetizer, and then we shared the Tomahawk Ribeye with a few sides. ( Pork belly Mac n cheese, asparagus and steak fries)

Would give a 4.4 stars because service was slower than expected of such a restaurant. We had a room and were only able to order once during appetizers, once for drinks, once for main course, and once for dessert. They never came back around to check on us. Food and cocktails were, however, amazing. Good quality meat, excellent appetizers. Would come back for the food for sure.

Over the past 20 years, I've been to Las Vegas many many times and have dined at a wide variety of establishments. I can not recall a single instance where I had a meal finer than the one I enjoyed at Cleaver. A fantastic menu, great service, super-cool ambience (and if you need to host a private event, they have gorgeous private rooms). You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely amazing! Treats locals well and has a nice kick backed vibe while maintaining a higher class atmosphere. Foods pricey but absolutely worth every penny! And if you can, sit at the bar and hope for Trish, they're absolutely a AAA bartender

Birthday/Christmas celebration dinner at Cleaver was perfect!!! The ambiance of Cleaver as a restaurant is very warm and inviting. I loved the portraits of the celebrities like Admiral Eddie Murphy, Chris Farley, Betty White and others. The Surf and Turf was excellent. Steak cooked perfectly and so was the lobster. The presentation and flavor were spot on. Our service is top notch from Sergio and Juan. Loved every minute of it. Oh and the Old Cuban drink is phenomenal. Highly recommend

We had tenderloins, which were extremely tender. They have a decent happy hour special. The drink menu is the highlight of this steakhouse. The food is what you would expect from the pricing on the menu and the service is fantastic. I would bring a family member or friend here for a special occasion.

When you combine great service with great food and great company, the night just ends up being perfect. Our bartender was great taking care of us before we got seated. Our server made sure we got everything we needed and super attentive. The food was great. We ordered a good selection of items and shared it with each other. Overall, everything was just perfect.

I came here for dinner during one of my nights in Vegas. The ambience was nice and I like the fact that it's not too far from the strip. I really enjoyed their spicy muscles, they have half off some menu items for happy hour. I got an 8 oz filet mignon "Cleaver Style" medium rare, "Cleaver Style" has bacon, fried egg, etc. The steak itself was cooked to my liking, but I wish I didn't get "Cleaver Style" it had an overpowering taste that took away from the experience if you just want the flavor of the meat (my fault for getting this). The baked potato was delicious though, and I also did the broccoli with cheese. It took a long time to get my appetizer and a long time to get the steaks once we were done with the apps. The service was fine, but our server wasn't very enthusiastic or overly friendly if that makes sense. I may come back to order the steak only next time. We will see.

Cleaver was hands down the best meal and restaurant experiece we had in Vegas. The employees were very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful. The food and cocktails were outstanding. My husband had a ribeye and I had the double cut pork chop (cooked medium well) with bacon maple butter. Both were cooked perfectly! We enjoyed the music and decor of the restaurant as well.

We came here on a recommendation. It was spot on, the restaurant was excellent! Everyone had a different appetizer and meal. They were fantastic, cooked to perfection. My steak was very good. It was quiet and easy to have a good discussion with the group. I was surprised to see how large the restaurant was. There was tons of parking and it was easy to get to the strip. I would definitely stop back.

My husband & I had an amazing dinner last night. Everything we ordered was delicious but our favorite was the Truffle Four Cheese Gnocchi. Heaven in a bowl. The atmosphere is great & staff is fantastic! Highly recommend! You won’t be disappointed. We will definitely be back there again.

The steak was excellent! We had the 64 oz rib eye cooked perfectly to medium rare with a few different sides and shared it with the whole table. We were celebrating my best friends daughters graduation from college. UNLV. We flew in from Washington state to surprise her! The sides were spinach with bleu cheese, squid ink pasta, spicy muscles and cheesy broccoli. All very tasty!

I had such a great experience here with my friends at this little gem. The venue was tucked away behind construction, so we were a little nervous walking up to the place, but we were pleasantly surprised by the modern speakeasy vibe when we walked in. The crowd was mature but relaxed and fun, and the staff were super warm and accommodating. They were fully booked, and would only receive walk ins at the bar. We tried our luck by having a few yummy cocktails with hopes of getting a seat, but we opted to eat at the bar since it only seemed to get busier as the night progressed. The food was AHH-MAZING!!! 10 out of 10. There are so many great dining experiences in Las Vegas, but this is certainly one of my faves. Would definitely dine there again. Check it out!

One of my favorite places to eat off the strip. Might be hard to find oarking on weekends so make sure you get there a tad earlier than your reservations. Even the Valet gets full. Everything fro. Theor cocktails, appetizers to main course was a hit. Here's what we ordered: Squid ink pasta Chopped italian salad Tomahawk steak Calamari Roasted brussel sprouts Mushroom Risotto Mash potatoes Bread (yes you pay for bread) Highly recommend going in a big group so you can order and share!

"Locals Secret". Fantastic chophouse with large food and drink menu. The "secret" 5-8pm happy hour makes many indulgent items quite affordable. Also good for larger groups with a variety of seating options. Did I mention oyster shooters? Go now!

Real quality place with great service and a good atmosphere. Not out of this world, but would definitely go back. The sauces and butters were some of the most flavorful I’ve had. Try the Cleaver steak sauce and the bacon maple butter. It’s mouthwatering. The house bread was fresh, and the mussels were very tasty as well. I thought the steak was decent, but not top tier. Their happy hour prices were very good and it was a Saturday night!

Cocktails, Apps, entrées were all outstanding. Only took a couple of pictures but we had the calamari, octopus, carpaccio, seabass, a few different steaks, one surf and turf, one Oscar style. My filet was cooked to perfection w/ a peppercorn crust. So good! The wait staff was on point.

This place is very low key. Not many tables and Intimate. You can for real get dressed up here. I give it 4 stars only bc our order got messed up twice mainly bc I'm sure they were shocked we didn't want meat or dairy on one some of our orders. Couldn't find any pictures of the actual inside so had to do it. When you walk in, it is super cool and dark and they have awesome business cards. Obviously pricey but the sides you can split with one other person.

Our meats were prepared to perfection (pictured- rib eyes, pork chop). Their happy hour prices all day/all week makes up for the current parking inconvenience due to area construction (they've got comp valet). Our sides were also spectacular (Mac/Cheese, Garlic-mashed potatoes, Cauliflower Au Gratin). The creme brulee was yum. Maybe skip the mango tart- very pretty but no real discernible taste. The booth lighting in the bar area can be very dark so you'll probably need to use ur phone flashlight to see anything on the table clearly. I took my parents(each 76yrs old) and they loved it and want to go back already. They didn't quite understand Ariana Grande, Drake, Rihanna, etc. playing a bit too loudly throughout our entire meal. But, the ribeyes, flat-iron steaks and pork chops were all delicious. There wasn't any valet parking this time (1/14/23) and there is VERY limited parking.

Very nice place with a classy vintage steakhouse vibe,the mixed drinks were amazing,they have a huge drink menu with a lot of high end alcohol, probably one of the best Tiki drinks I've had in awhile, The Adventures of Skruff and Dogol ordered the Tomahawk medium rare as usual, it's a huge portion of bone in Rib Eye,the steak was a bit firm, a little over seasoned and salty for our taste, we both agreed it would have been better without the rub, but if you like well seasoned meats it was still delicious,just not our taste,the 3 sides we ordered were good too,the mushroom Risoto was excellent, the blue cheese spinach was again a little salty, the Lava cake was really good, All the food was plated and presented very classy, the service and attire was top notch and very stylish, setting a really nice 40s style vibe throughout the place,Overall we dug the place and would definitely return, this place would be awesome if they had a 1940s swing big band playing because that's about all it was missing.

Originally had a reservation for 4 at Herbs & Rye but a very pleasant and apologetic young lady called us 10min before our reservation and explained they were suffering from a power outage and explained we could either wait or they could get us a reservation here at Cleaver. We opted for the Cleaver reservation, so glad we did! We were seated as soon as we walked in with another apology and our waiter was amazing with his recommendations for drinks and dinner. I asked for an Old Fashioned but he recommended I go with something in house that was similar and far superior. Once again I'm glad I did because it was great! I wish I could remember the name. Our order came quickly and was top notch. Highly recommend the ribeye, pork belly Mac and cheese, asparagus was so fresh and crisp. And desert....good lord, the mini donuts are like fresh Beignets and the Cheesecake...wow...we had to get another to take back to the hotel. We will definitely be going back here for another amazing dinner in a month when we come back to Las Vegas. Don't sleep on this gem of a restaurant.

You will have a wonderful dining experience here. I have been here twice and both times blew my mind. Service is great, they treat you so well. Which is nice if you’re on a budget, some “budget” restaurants don’t usually have good service. But when you’re ready to splurge, you won’t be disappointed here. Food is fantastic. Great steakhouse with some interesting sides & appetizers. I split the porterhouse with my partner and it was more than enough. Drinks are bomb.they have a sommelier who helped us choose a fantastic bottle (he was not judge mental AT ALL when I told him we’re looking for something on the lower price range). Overall if you’re looking for a special date night, celebration or just want a luxurious experience come here!!

Off the strip steak house and I have been several times. Some of the locals do not even know the this place. A dark elusive atmosphere that makes you feel inclusive when you are seated. Every time I am here are I have stories to review the next day. Please make reservations unless you want to wait outside on a small bench, unsure how long, but you don’t want to be those people. Once you arrive you will be greeted and asked to wait then whisked off to your table. If you don’t make a reservation maybe, you may find a seat at the bar (hopeful). Steaks are tender (I order medium rare) and the sides are proportionate for a few hungry guests. There was wine guru (wine Somalia was ill) and we had a pleasant conversation about Montefalco Sagrantino but they only had Rosso. We didn’t order that wine but a very nice Abruzzo which was an excellent choice with the dinner. Great people watching, food, prices are expected but not cheap.

Me and my girlfriend were celebrating our anniversary and it was late at night, all of the buffets and restaurants were closing or were fully booked, we went to this restaurant as a last resort and it was the best, I had a 10:30pm reservation and upon arrival I only waited 5 min to be seated. Everyone was helpful and knowledgeable with the menu and wine book. I was having a little trouble with choosing a wine because I have little knowledge of it and someone came and helped me choose the perfect wine I forgot his name but he was the best along with our waiter. They kept checking back to see if the food was good, needed any refills and refilling out water and wines. We got the cleaver surf & turf and everything was delicious. 5/5 we would definitely come back again.

Really enjoyed this restaurant! I believe it is a 'sister' restaurant with Herbs & Rye, which is one of my all time favorite places to eat in Las Vegas. This place has a similar vibe, but is much bigger and brighter inside than Herbs. For that reason, it is able to cater to more people and you are able to see a little better inside the restaurant. The atmosphere is cool, and the interior is nicely decorated. The service was spot on, starting with their endless drink menu, and followed by delicious bread to hold you over until appetizers arrive. We went with the mussel special for appetizer and it was fantastic. The sauce was so good we used the bread to soak it up. For our main course, I went with the NY steak medium rare, and it was perfect. I highly recommend this place to locals or if visiting Las Vegas, a fine example of what Las Vegas culinary is.

A dining destination not to be missed! Craft cocktails and unique menu items. Everyone in our party of 5 loved both the food and the classy-yet-quirky decor. To be frank, I've had steaks that were more tender, so next time I'll try the short ribs. Still, the experience was delightful, the staff was professional, and the sommelier really knew his stuff! It wasn't a cheap meal, but we indulged all the way, with appetizers, drinks and dessert. Lastly, I was able to order one of the most difficult cocktails to make... the Ramos Gin Fizz. So. Much. Fun.

Cleaver was a great place to go for date night. The food was incredible, presentation was a 10, and the service was great! Eddie helped keep our table spotless the entire night, all while being almost invisible lol. I love that the location is slightly hidden from direct view which made it feel like you walked into a secret spot in Vegas. They did a great job creating such a unique vibe as soon as you cross that entryway! Thank you so much for a great date night/birthday evening for my husband. Can't wait to return!

As you drive up to the restaurant, it may seem like it’s not going to be a big deal. It’s located in an average small shopping center about a smile away from the strip. I felt overdressed when we arrived. However, as soon as you walk in, the atmosphere changes entirely! It’s almost like you walked into a 1920’s speakeasy. Beautiful and unique art work and ambience. It’s very dim and dark in there which makes it a perfect romantic date night. If you plan on visiting Las Vegas, make sure to make reservations way ahead of time. The food is a little pricey but it’s worth every cent!

This is an unreal steakhouse. The food, the drinks, and the atmosphere are incredible. You'll definitely need to get a reservation and the prices are high, but totally worth every penny. The food is outstanding, the wine and service is also outstanding. Although the atmosphere is very nice it can be very loud. Don't expect a quiet romantic atmosphere when going here. You will still love this place and the staff. I highly recommend it!

Loved herbs and rye. Wanted to come here for the longest time. Wife took me for my birthday. Food was superb. For it being owned by the same people, they kinda blew herbs and rye out the water...At least with the food I felt. Drinks were wonderful too. Service was terrible. Like really bad. I a was server on the strip for 3 years and I'm typically pretty understanding, but this was just awful. She seemed to forget we existed regularly and made it a point not to make eye contact with us when walking by so we couldn't get her attention....after waiting 20 minutes to put in drink orders or food orders. That being said, would still come back for food. I would just insist on a different server next time.

We enjoyed the happy hour pricing and free parking at this off-Strip hidden gem. This is our new Vegas tradition! Skip the strip steakhouse and prices and come here instead.

Great food overall. Service was good. Drinks came only AFTER we finished our meal, not super happy about that. The manager did comp us a free dessert. The street corn was excellent. Small nitpicks: steak on the rare side. Chocolate sauce on the donuts was a no-thanks. Tomohawk should be bigger for $120, purchasing two Ribeyes would have been more food and cheaper

All the high-end steakhouse fare with a bunch steaks and other items priced half off on the happy hour special. Food and service were both excellent. We had oysters, muscles, beef tartare, bone marrow, all of which were tasty. Seafood bisque was really good. Doughnuts were a perfect dessert.

Looking at the outside of the building you would never know that there was a fantastic restaurant waiting inside. The steak was the best we have had in Las Vegas. Our absolute favorite restaurant! My husband and I come here for every celebration and special occasion. We're never disappointed and everything is always perfect. We've never had a bad dish or a bad drink at Cleaver. The staff is phenomenal and everything from start to finish is always flawless. It can be a little pricy, but it's money well spent everytime!

Very nice restaurant. The place was extremely crowded, especially for mid-week. We had to wait almost forty minutes, even with a reservation. The service was excellent. Parking was a nightmare. The NY Strip was very good. The rib eye was excellent. The accompaniments were excellent - mushrooms and onions for the steaks; sides of broccolini and asparagus. Everything comes a-la-carte. Nothing is "included". The prices are pretty high, but during happy hour (which lasted all night) they're a bit more reasonable. Two people, two meals (no appetizers), three total drinks, over $200, including tip.

This restaurant is a hidden gem just off the strip. Amazing steak... equal or better than those I’ve had at some expensive places. The staff was ultra friendly and accommodating. Now, I'm a foodie that loves FOOD. I normally don't give food An excellent review because it always is lacking something. I generally focus on the restaurant customer service, And presentation. But when I tell you I was blown I was blown away by the flavor of this food this food it really happened. I ordered the spicy musel, And the 1st pork chop on the menu What a sauce with a peppercorn in it that was out of this world. It's unfortunate that I cannot give a plus on top of my 5 stars because when I say the food is excellent. The food really is excellent. You won't be disappointed if you like flavorful food. Be ready to fall in love with your taste buds again. This restaurant truly has my loyalty of business. And the bartender Francisco that also's goes by Franco, Just makes it even better. Sorry I don't have pictures because my mouth was faster than my phone. I will post some pictures when I go back. Oh, not to mention they do have an happy hour on food and drinks. We paid $102.00 for two people during happy hour, it is well worth it.

Happy hour all day. They have a huge 64 ounce cleaver steaks for half off. The tomahawk is not included in the half off happy hours though. Meat was cooked perfectly. Had some squid ink pasta to pair with the steak. Food was rich and delicious. I do recommend splurging a bit extra for the compound butters. Staff is attentive and excellent.

Even during happy hour, this place is over priced. Food is good, but not amazing. I had the filet mignon which was an ok cut of meat. It was too lean and not very marbled or fatty, it did not melt in my mouth like a good cut of filet mignon should. I've been there twice in two months and both times the cut of meat was the same. The sides on the other hand were delicious. I had the street corn and garlic mash, I do recommend those. Cocktails are also overpriced, they're basically strip prices. I've been to less expensive steak houses with better quality cuts of meat and complimentary fresh baked bread that didn't break the bank. Clever doesn't give you anything complimentary. This placed is definitely overhyped but overall, it's fine if you check it out during happy hour, don't waste your money paying full price for their steaks.

If you want cool ambiance with an old school steakhouse vibe then go to Cleavers. I had an amazing filet mignon that was grilled to perfection. And a side of Mac and cheese. Try the shooters! Plus, you won’t find a better sticky toffee pudding in alas Vegas. Our server was friendly and fun! It was nice to see someone with such a happy positive attitude! Love this place. I got the NY strip with the foie gras butter, I thought it was cooked well, the street corn was good too, and they serve it in a crock that keeps it warm for a long time. Constructive criticism I did think the steak could have used a little salt. But overall the atmosphere of the place was great, the bartender we're nice and were great servers. This is among the very top of the Las Vegas' steakhouses. The ambience is very flush. Service is extremely friendly. Often you can be lucky to have your cocktails prepared by the very owner of the restaurant, who by the way, has won many awards, including the bartender of the year in 2016 at the Bar and Nightclub Show. My recommendation is to order the Rib Eye cut steak and get it cooked in Portland style. It's so delicious. This is also the place when I've had the best ever Old Fashioned made by Nectaly.

Great happy hour for great meats and sides. Not a lot of options for happy appetizers, but what they do have are good. Steaks and chops are great. One thing I did find out on a second visit was that the dry rub was actually more like a sauce (which was odd and unexpected), but that was a minor oddity. Place is quite good. A bit spendy, but absolutely worth it.

I love a great steak, and this place did not disappoint. The steak was perfectly prepared! I got the 18oz ribeye. We had the pleasure of trying a few things in the menu. For starters we had the steak tartare and confit wings ( lemon pepper). With our steaks we had some steak fries, mashed potatoes, and the Mac n cheese. We have 0 complains about the food! Every one seemed friendly and attentive except for our waiter. Juan came to our table to take our order, and then never returned! He is the only reason we did not have the perfect diner! We had to chase down other workers when we needed anything.

I found this place while searching "best restaurants Las Vegas strip" and I'm so glad I did. It's a little off the strip, just a 10 minute cab from the flamingo. They have half priced steaks from 5pm-8pm. I've never heard of that before. Also a couple apps are half off too so we went with the spicy mussels which were excellent. The mashed potatoes were excellent and only $6. Altogether we got the mussels, mashed potatoes, a filet, and a New York strip for like $70. That's what most places on the strip charge for one steak. Everything was excellent and the service was great too. The wait assistants were always filling waters and checking in. We were worried because we had a show at 930 and when we got there at 715 and they were just slammed with huge groups. Cleaver - Butchered Meats was a great dinner surprise while in Vegas. I ordered the Ribeye (med well) and our table of four shared the mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, street corn and brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked perfectly for me, lightly seasoned, seared and not to pink. The sides were also on point, really good flavor and a nice presentation. The steak was sizeable enough to bring home leftovers, the sides were a little small. Kind of pricy, BUT, we arrived during Happy-Hour and our meal was 1/2 price! Cleavers has great signage to find the location from the street but once you park you'll look lost for a bit until you find the door down a long brick hallway. Lastly, we all agreed Cleavers had a true Vegas feel to it with excellent food and even better service, just a little dark inside for me. I would definitely go back. I give Cleavers 4 1/2 Stars.

Rolled into town on 12/31/20 on a whim to dust off 2020. Had no reservations in advance, and Cleaver had two seats at the bar, it was just what we were looking for in an adventurous dining experience. The service was friendly and excellent. Our bartenders recommendations were spot on. Calamari was really old school and fit the speakeasy vibe at Cleaver. They have several cuts of steak on "Happy Hour" (half price) had the NY for $24 and added the Parmigiano crust. Delicious! 1. Cool speakeasy vibe 2. Friendly, knowledgeable and fun service. 3.Great Food! This is now on our go to list for Las Vegas!

Ordered the 120oz ribeye, risotto, pork belly mac and cheese. Ribeye was too dry and chewy even though I ordered medium. Risotto was good but some of the rice was uncooked or hard. Mac and cheese was good and Seafood platter. I'm not sure I would go back since the food was really just ok.

Visit Alyssa at the bar for a wonderful PornStar Martini or Manhattan. I'm so glad this place exists and that it's not on the strip. Oh yes....the donuts and Passion Fruit tart are the perfect ways to end a meal. The restaurant is dimly lit, classy, great music and wallpaper and art, and the bathrooms are clean and beautifully designed. Try this place out ASAP!

The parking lot situation isn't the restaurants fault and can be excused. That there was no coffee available to go with dessert? Inexcusable. The place is very classy. When you walk in its very clean and inviting but classically understated. Our server was fantastic, Dave the Sommelier gave a great recommendation of a bottle of wine from South Africa that had the most bang for your buck! Food was good, chopped salad was weird, wife loved her pork chop. Sides were just ok because of the portion size given for the cost. Sautéed spinach with crumbled blue cheese was not good, too watery and not exciting. Tomatoes with burratta was flavorless, shroom risotto was ok but had too much rosemary! Of course the cocktails are great, but if you want wine, talk to Dave who was knowledgeable and listened to what I wanted. 5 stars for service, 2.5 stars for the kitchen.

When you're spending over $200 on dinner it should be perfect. First of all before we even get into the restaurant the parking situation was atrocious. They apparently have no handicap parking spaces in their entire lot which violates state law. I informed the post us about this when we came in and she seemed very surprised. She was nice enough about it hopefully she follows up with the manager or owner. Regarding the food we ordered the calamari for an appetizer and the flavor was good but it was like chewing on rubber bands which is not how it used to be. One of the drinks we ordered had so much ice in it it looked like a slushie which is not how they used to serve it. We also ordered bread when our food came and ended up canceling it when we were done eating because it never showed up and we were done eating. The waiter was very nice and the rest of the staff was very nice but even with the problems we had a manager never came to our table which is quite surprising. The steaks we ordered were good but I wouldn't say outstanding or great. They used to offer half price steaks and drink specials during happy hour which was for a limited period twice a day. Now both Cleaver and herbs and rye say they offer happy hour prices from opening till close but all they did was raise the prices and offer a discount that comes out to about 20% from their raised prices.

I was excited to try this steakhouse. Lil disappointed. Server was Luis and had lots of great personality. Helper Armani was super. Server did well except at the beginning of the dinner he asked if there were dietary restrictions. My husband said he was diabetic. When my husband ordered the Brussels sprouts, Luis should have told him they were prepared with brown sugar, which is not a typical prep item. The asparagus had lemon which made it taste like it was sprayed with dish soap. The spicy mussels were only slightly spicy. The filet was tender but lacked flavor. The menu offered over 15 butters and toppings for steak, but a good steak needs no additions. So I guess if you want a flavorful steak, you'll have to order, and pay $6-16 extra for, that flavor. Donuts were good.

Happy hour is from 5pm-11:30pm. Hands down the best restaurant steak I have ever had. Atmosphere was comfortable, not too posh. Lots of drinks to choose from, bartender was able to recommend drinks to pair with food. Was checked on frequently to see if we needed anything. For a random steakhouse choice on Google maps, we mailed it. Will definitely be returning.

It is not my first time here. Every visit I keep trying to find something wrong or off. I always look for something I would dislike, because it is hard on this industry to keep consistency. Foe my surprise, sitting at the bar or a table, Cleaver and their staff never stops to surprise me and go above my expectations. Casual or special ocasion,it is always a great choice. I highly suggest to plan ahead and make a reservation, they are always super feiendly over the phone and is really pleasant to interact with this staff. I can's stress enough that the meat have an amazing quality, flavors are on point and the plates have an amazing presentation as the cocktails. A wide variety of wine for enthusiasts and a nice selection of spirits. The staff is always happy to help and just made my experience super unique.

Don't let the strip mall location fool you. This restaurant is GORGEOUS. And the food and service are excellent. The clams, the spicy mussels, the street corn were amazing. If we lived here, this would be a weekly hit for us. Sat at the bar and Kelly and Kane and the crew rocked it and we felt like regulars.

The atmosphere is very fun! Cocktails were delicious. 3 out of 6 of us got a steak and none were that good. One person had to return it bc it was undercooked and it still didn’t come back well(she’s pregnant). Our meals were ok nothing amazing. The bar area has terrible stools. They are very heavy & overall uncomfortable. Theres no lounge area for a larger group so we felt misplaced and uncomfortable. Our server was pleasant but we thought maybe he was on drugs since he was so amped.

Talk about great food. Everything was great - I had the NY Strip "cleaver style" and the rest of my party had the Filet. For sides, we had mushrooms and mashed potatos - the mushrooms were the best I've ever had, hands down. The strip mall Cleaver is in is being renovated, so it's a bit of a dump. Inside, the restaurant has great ambiance and delicious food.

*UPDATE* - Their happy hour is no longer a real happy hour. The items that are listed on the menu for happy hour are NOT half off they are more like 20% off. Cleaver is located in one of the harder spots to fine especially now that they're under construction but once you make your way inside the steakhouse you were surprised by some super fun decor of famous people dressed up as military personnel. I think my favorite is of Eddie Murphy or Robin Williams. Now to get to the food. If you come at the right time they have happy hour which seems to be almost always if you look closely it's not as good of a deal as you think it is you would think happy hour means half price to it really just means a few dollars off which is kind of disappointing. The steaks are super good and you can choose from different rubs or butters to add onto them but just the steak itself is also delicious. I highly recommend the brussels sprouts they are the best I've ever had anywhere and same goes for the mac & cheese.

My medium.rare rib eyes steak could have been a bit more rare it was more on the medium temp but it wasn't anything I couldn't stomach. Parmesan crust were perfect addition!! Mac n cheese awesome, calamari excellent, baby carrots were awesome as well. Oysters tasted sweet and fresh!! We had 7people total and no negatives on any of the dishes, chicken was perfectly juicy! Shirt rib gnocchi was one of the best ive tasted (2 people at table ordered it i sampled) Will definitely be back!

The servers are always excellent and knowledgeable, but the food is what earns this place all of its stars. I have ordered a good portion of what they have on the menu and everything has been outstanding. The portions are great, and everything is cooked to perfection. The bar is also really notable, as the whiskey selection is enormous for a restaurant. I do wish the had pint glasses, but we won't get too picky! Go check them out.

We heard this place was great so we decided to make reservations and go there. From the minute we arrived until the minute we left everything was outstanding. The staff was amazing and very attentive. Our drinks did not even get close to being dry before they asked if we wanted them refilled. I had the steak with steak fries and my partner had the squid and pasta and everything we had was amazing. We were celebrating our anniversary so they brought us some sugarcoated mini donuts at the end of our meal and those were awesome. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The happy hour prices on drinks and especially the food were great.

We didn't realize that restaurants in Vegas were closing so early due to the effects of the pandemic, and after spending an hour driving around and calling places for a reservation to eat, we almost gave up hope before we found Cleaver. With the glitz and glamour (and expense) of the strip right around the corner, you wouldn't expect to be impressed by the service and quality we experienced here. The entire staff was welcoming, but Nick and our waiter Juan in particular took great care of us. Not only was our meal delicious but it was also well-priced with the generous happy hour deal they offer. You have to get the donuts for dessert!

This was a recommendation and a good one. Very nice atmosphere. Classy casual. Very friendly and efficient staff. We ordered the filet and the seared sea bass. Both were cooked to perfection. The sea bass was on a bed of mushroom risotto. We also ordered the asparagus topped with a fried egg and garlic mashed potatoes. Also they have an extensive wine and spirits selection. This place had such a great vibe. Everyone was on top of it, we never went without drinks and anything we needed there was always someone there. The food was amazing! The plates are pretty big so the prices are very reasonable, and when you go during happy hour some plates are half off, you cant beat that! You’re at a steakhouse so please, go for any steak entree. Ordered the crusted New York strip, bubbling macaroni and cheese and garlic mashed potatoes… a truly perfect combination. We also paired it with the Cesar salad, and numerous appetizers, among the notables I’d recommend the tuna tartar and shrimp cocktail. Steak was juicy and bursting with favor and had me from the first bite. Also, do yourself a favor and add in the chimichurri for your steak!

Omg!!!!! This place has an old school vibe with lots of people there for a monday night. We both wanted the Ribeye and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. It was mouth watering, crispy seared on outside and medium well on inside, melts in your mouth. Good size portion as well. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Ala carte was broccolini and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes and caeser salad. Everything including the presentation and service was well worth the money. Mediocre Steakhouse that seems like it's past it's prime. I was hoping to love it but it was just okay. Staff were nice but there was a musky odour that hits you when you first come in. We were seated in another room away from the main dining room and the smell was not evident there. The Prime Rib was uninspiring as were the sides. It wasn't awful but not great.

If you love Herbs and Rye try this place as it is owned by same people. Different menu though although steaks are still there and fantastic, this place has a wonderful bone marrow with a berry sauce which is THE most unique way to serve bone marrow in the city. Their flatbread and steak tartar were also excellent. Steaks were fantastic I went with peppercorns crusted and she went with garlic truffle butter. Both highly recommended. Mac and cheese is excellent with some nice pork belly (which they also use on the salads). Great cocktails and service make this place 5 stars and a must go to! Oh and they have happy hours on food and drinks!

I come to Vegas every other week for work and my go to is Cleaver - it’s that good. My stomach loves it, cholesterol maybe not as much. Get a steak with the garlic butter and house baked potato (not your run in the mill potato) and thank me later. Also, their happy hour is righteous (5-8 pm daily). Also, the cocktails are freakin legendary, someone say espresso martinis? All-in-all this place is a 10/5 and can’t recommend enough. If you are in Vegas and looking to treat yourself, the strip ain’t it - CLEAVER IS. Cleaver is the real deal; Del Friscos, Maestros, Ruth Chris are the ones that should be looking out because Cleaver is doing it right. Not over here!! The drink menu was RIDICULOUS. This craft bartender was very impressed. They played rap music. I found that pleasantly surprising We were able to actually get a reservation! Their art work was super cool. They had portraits of comedy legends dressed up like Napoleon Bonaparte. Best seafood bisque I’ve ever had in my life The lamb & risotto was so good-I brought my left overs back to Tx.... on the plane...(Don’t make fun of me) I felt like I went to a Vegas attraction. Whenever I go back to Vegas, I’m going to Cleaver no matter what! I’ll go alone if I have to.

We had dinner at Cleaver because we'd been hearing such good reviews. The food was very tasty, well seasoned. The grilled oysters, ceaser salad and side dishes were great! I would suggest avoiding the happy hour steaks. They were tough and disappointing. The Filet ate like a center cut sirloin from Costco and the New York strip was very chewy. I ordered my filet cooked Medium, unfortunately it was served Rare (even tough rare). Truthfully, I don't think it was a Filet. I would eat here again, but would not order the half price meat.

Amazing! My boyfriend and I were in Vegas for a wedding recently and on our last night there, we decided to eat here. Definitely did not disappoint! We had an awesome dinner last night. The wait staff was top notch. They were attentive and treated my two year old with a lot of respect. He dropped his napkin and they went to get him a new one. There was no need for that but it was a very kind gesture. The food was delicious. We started with bread and butter which was good. We ordered 2 New York strip strips and a ribeye. All three cooked to perfection. We had macaroni and cheese with pork belly. Everyone loved the pork belly. We also had the bourbon shallot potatoes that were garlicky. Great food and service. Love, love, love this place! Reservations recommended. Excellent service, even better food. Had the housemade squid ink pasta, rib eye, Brussel sprouts. Very good drinks as well. We were celebrating birthdays and they provided complimentary doughnuts. This is my second time at this place and will definitely visit again when I'm back in Vegas.

Stopped in at the recommendation of a friend while We were in Vegas. We arrived right as they opened. We had a 5:15 reservation. We were seated right away. The staff was friendly enough. It took a bit to get our water. The Salad was very good. The sides were very good! My steak was cooked correctly. It wasn't very flavorful and a little on the tough side. I had hoped for much more. Thank goodness it was half price. My wife had a Lobster tail that wasn't fully cooked. We will try someplace else the next time We visit Vegas.

The mushrooms & the mushrooms risitta were very good. Same outcome n the desserts. We liked the strawberry new York cheesecake. But the lava cake was horrible. We actually just ate the vanilla ice cream only. Overall 3 out of 5. But the staff were nice, so extra star for them. So $240, for dinner.

Went here for a family celebration, never having heard of it before. Inside is a "speakeasy" style place that I like. It was just dark enough that it took some effort to discern the menu but eventually ordered an 18 ounce steak and some drinks, as well as the bone marrow appetizer and a Caesar salad. The steak was a perfect medium rare and was so easy to cut you practically just had to wave the knife in its general direction. The bone marrow appetizer was amazing (if a bit small but not enough to make this a major complaint. I just love me some bone marrow). The staff was friendly and efficient and the seating comfortable. Afterwards we followed up the meal with a plate a very hedonistic mini donuts. It was filling without being heavy and it is worth it to track this off-the-strip place down and drop some hard earned shekels there on a good dinner.

The waiter was exceptional with a truly gifted knowledge of drinks and food. This was by far one of the best meals I have ever had and although it is off the strip, it is a must for anyone who wants a great meal and is not afraid to pay a good price for it!

Complete 5 star experience, the cocktail list is artfully done and the bartenders extremely knowledgeable. The steak is out of this world, and with their variety of sauces, add ons, and crusts you could come back multiple times for steak and never order the same thing - but you’ll definitely want to come back. If you come to Vegas and get tired of the hustle and bustle of the strip, do yourself a favor and take a trip to the Cleaver. You’ll be blown away by how great the food, drinks, and staff are.

Everything about Cleaver is incredible. Our server was very friendly, seemed to check in at the perfect times (but wasn't overbearing) and was very knowledgeable about the menu and things that weren't on the menu. The prices are a bit steep, even for happy hour, but it was well worth it. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the sides were incredible, and the cocktails were amazing. Let me start by saying the manager stepped in and completely saved this from being a horrible experience and 8 bad reviews from unhappy patrons. So thank you to her! We had a reservation for 7pm. Didn't get seated til 7:35pm. No idea why. Our server was painfully bad. Inattentive. Hardly ever came by. We ordered finally at 7:55pm. 5 min before happy hour ended. Luckily.... However, we got our food at 8:52pm. Yes, we had a reservation at 7pm. And didn't get food til almost 2 HOURS after. Luckily all the food was delicious. The pork belly mac and cheese, and the street corn are delicious sides. The blue cheese crust is so perfect. We had finally called over the manager right before our food came to see what was going on. She apologized and took over for our server thank goodness. She brought us donuts and champagne at the end to toast our friend's birthday. Very, very nice touch. And THEN she gave us HALF off the already awesome happy hour prices. Above and beyond. While I can't say I'm dying to go back with the original bad server, I would like to thank her for stepping in and saving the night.

Went there for my birthday! Amazing food. My date had the lamb chomps, I had the filet topped with crab .we had mashed potatoes and the broccoli and cheese as sides. Everything was phenomenal. The porn star martini was amazing. Service and ambiance was spectacular. and the the music was on point. We came looking for Ruth Chris and decided to try this place out and it did not disappoint. It was a perfect evening. AND they acknowledged my birthday with an amazing dessert that turned out to be a childhood favorite. Highly recommend! We betted on the tab and both overshot by $50+, so it's so WORTH IT! Great price for high quality food and environment. I can't wait to visit again!

Excellent excellent excellent! Best ribeye ive ever had! 5 stars all the way! Thank you to the dedicated and courteous staff for making my dining experience special. I ordered a ribeye, it was tough and seemed more like a strip steak. I dont like to complain and I especially dont like confrontation so I usually just dont say anything, but the manager was making her rounds and asked me hiw everything was. I told her I dont like to bring it up but since she asked I was disappointed with my steak. I explained why. She immediately apologized and took measures to make sure I was happy with my meal and experience at their establishment. First my waiter came by to apologies and explain that maybe once a week that happens and he can hear a sound when they cut the meat if it is an inferior cut and he totally understood. Second they brought me out a fresh cut, cooked to perfection and it was the BEST ribeye ive ever had. Third the nice manager lady came out and checked on me again because she wanted to make sure my dining experience was exceptional, and it was! Some restaurants fight you and get defensive and sont handle people's concerns with respect so it ruins it and people like me just put up with poor service or substandard quality. This place is super classy. From the staff to the environment and quality of food! Excellent excellent excellent! Thank you so much for restoring my faith in the quality of the food service industry!

So...great service and overall a good experience. However, the chefs clearly do not know the difference between medium well and medium rare. My steak was bloody and I ate about 40% of it before giving up and taking it home. I then microwaved it to perfection, and finally got my medium well steak that I ordered the night before. Highly recommend Cleaver while you’re in Vegas! It is off the strip and unassuming from the exterior but has an upscale old-Hollywood ambience once inside. Can’t say enough about the food and service. We were celebrating my bachelor party with 8 guys and they catered to our every need. Would be easily 5 stars but I found it a little shady that for gratuity they charged us on the pre-happy hour prices. So we technically ordered $250 worth of food but paid $80 on tips automatically. The food was good and the interior ambiance was fun - lots of brass and a throwback to turn of the century. The lighting was poor - it felt like a club (so dim you can't really read anything). The wait was terrible and the hostesses were downright rude. We had reservations and they added 10 mins. And although they told us our table was ready they seemed to neglect we were even present until I assertively pushed about the table availability. Voila! A table was instantly available. I would only go during "Meat Happy Hour," (6-8pm, I believe) otherwise all of the entrees are $48 and up, ala carte.

We decided to try this place out since we liked herbs and rye, they have the same owners. I ordered the pork chop cooked medium rare with the blue cheese crust, the inside was cooked right, but there was too much char on the exterior to taste the meat. Unlike herbs and rye, this place does not include a side with your steak which would make the cost of a complete meal far higher. If I returned I would probably go for beef since I was unimpressed by the pork, although I will probably choose herbs and rye.

I went at happy hour. The cocktails were good and the food was excellent. I had the new york strip with horseradish and a side of cauliflower gratin. My boyfriend had the squid ink pasta and an oyster shooter. Our whole table shared the flatbread, which had proscuitto and some other stuff. It was all excellent. At happy hour, three or four cuts of meat are half price, as are a few of the appetizers and entrees (similar happy hour to herbs and rye). Honestly, the food is five stars, but I would not come back if it was not happy hour, it would be too expensive. Happy Hour is 5-8 everyday.

I love the vibe in this place. I only stopped in for drinks with a friend and sat at the bar but I will definitely return. It has the old school speakeasy feel with a very interesting menu, next time I will come hungry so I can eat. The four stars is for vibe and bar service, I didn't eat (not there fault) but I won't give 5 stars until I have tasted the food, lol. So an update will be coming! If you are looking for something a little different this just may fit the bill. It is a great place for GNO, couples or just cruising solo.

My wife, my friend, and I ate dinner at Cleaver. We have previously eaten at Cleaver's sister restaurant, Herbs & Rye. The two restaurants have similar menus and decor. However, Cleaver is a lot bigger. We ordered steak tartare, spicy mussels, the Kansas City, the ribeye, lamb chops, pork belly mac 'n' cheese, collard greens, and mushroom risotto. I was not a big fan of any of the side dishes, but the tartare is uniquely served on sourdough, which is a fabulous pairing, and the meats were cooked to perfection. We love the prohibition decor and ambiance. All of the cocktails were amazing! My favorite for the night was the Rolls Royce. The prices are pretty average for a nice steakhouse. Steaks average around $60 and sides average around $10. However, like at Herbs & Rye, Cleaver has a great happy hour with half-priced steaks. I believe this is one of the best deals in town!

I had dining in a casino/on the Strip. Always feels like such a rip off....This was a quick drive with easy parking. Seems a bit sketchy and next to a gym...But as soon as you walk in, you are transported to another time and place! Dark, wood, high banquette tables. We were seated in the bar and had great service. Happy Hour before 8P is a great deal--half off 3 appetizers (oysters, mussels and steak Tartare, I think?) and a number of steaks. Cocktails are solid and prohibition style. Steaks were excellent! We had a Filet and a Ribeye (oscar Style) with mashed potatoes and street-style corn. Definitely get the corn! My steak was a little...cool (thus the 4 star rating). And we were advised to order a degree "up" (ie I prefer MR and told to order medium as they tend to "undercook compared to what you are used to"). This was bad advice. Both of our steaks were a little overcooked. Again, why the 4 stars.

Went here on a whim cause they were open until 3am and had good reviews. Let me tell you the reviews do not lie! This place is fantastic. Our service was great although the server was busy. He even brought us a after dinner digestive shot of I cant quite remember what but he mentioned it was a Italian after dinner liquer to aid with digestion. On the house I might add. Drinks were delicious and refreshing and the food even better! We had the mussles to start with which were in a tasty spicy, yet not so spicy you chug your water, tomato sauce. We then shared the 18oz ribeye and had the pork belly mac n cheese and pancetta collard greens. Let me tell you the options are endless when it comes to add ons for the steaks. There are at least 5 different sauces, 5 different butters, a bunch of crust options plus many more. The combinations are literally endless. That was the best part for me lol and the pork belly ohhhh the pork belly, best I've ever had! Crispy yet soft and had the most delicious smokey flavor to it. Like a piece of bacon but on steroids. My boyfriend enjoyed the steak the most. My only regret here was not saving room for dessert!

I can say that I spend most of my money on food and travel. Outside of chef's tasting menus this great new restaurant in my backyard is likely one of the best meals I've ever been served. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable and happy to chat to make sure you have the best experience possible. The cocktails are as good as you would expect as well. There is no question if you should come here. The question is when and how often.
