Fantastic little place. Great food and very reasonably priced. The proportions are good. The sauces are spicy and plentiful. The restaurant had a steady stream of customers but there wasn't a wait long wait for the food. I will definitely return and I would recommend it highly.

Dine in experience: The staff is very polite and inviting. Very helpful as first timers also. The breakfast tacos were great even tho we asked for beans and we didn’t really taste them. The flour tortillas are spot on. Cons: I wish that instead of waiting to order and then waiting to get your actual order , they could just get your order and make it right there and then instead of waiting twice since they do have a hot bar section. We got the asado meat and it was very hard, definitely needed to be slow cooked a little longer. My husband got the menudo and it was very watery.

Brunch Saturday morning. Very busy which is always a good sign. The menu is varied in Mexican delights. Only during the weekend do they have Menudo but it goes fast. Very fair prices, friendly staff, and the bathrooms are decent.

Delicious! The tostada had a harder shell so it would keep the crunch under all those fresh veggies and toppings! The gordita shell had that fried corn chew that we love. They had fresh cantaloupe agua frescas (flavors vary daily) that was refreshing and perfectly flavored. Watch out for that green salsa… super spicy! The red salsa was fresh and simple. We got the beef and chicken fajita and felt it needed a bit of salt. The iced coffee was heavy on the cinnamon (that’s a rare thing for us to say). Although the service was fast, I could have used a bit of friendly. You want authentic street food at a good price? This is your spot!

We wanted to grab something to eat on the way to Premium Outlet, and decided to come here after a quick search. We had mex chilaquiles divorciados and street tacos (Fri & Sat only) with beef and the food was excellent. I liked the chilaquiles with red sauce and liked the texture of the tortillas; they were drenched but still crispy. The tacos were tasty and the beef was tender. The service was fast and friendly. This place will be on our taco list.

Street tacos were yummy - get the beef fajitas (skip the chicken)!! Hits - free chips & salsa - horchata agua fresca - good portions for the price Misses - chicken was dry - ordering is a bit confusing (meat tacos come a la carte unless you specify toppings)

After taking the kids to kidtastic indoor playground, I noticed the constant groups of people going in and out of Mex Taco House. I had been craving good breakfast tacos, but it's so hard to find a good Mexican taco spot in Cypress. I stay away from places that put American cheese slices in their Mexican tacos. I went inside to check this place out, and I knew right away this was going to be a good taco spot. All the choices for breakfast and meat tacos looked delicious. I had to get 4 just so that I could sample a few. They range in price from $3-4 .I ordered the carne guisada con papas( stewed meat) delicious! Barbacoa , delicious! Chorizo con huevo w beans, delicious! Bacon and egg with beans, delicious!Don't forget to request the green salsa. Spicy but it takes your tacos to the next level. This is my new breakfast taco spot if I'm in the area. If you're taking the kids to kidstastic early in the morning, stop by Mex Taco House. Make Mex Taco House your new breakfast taco spot in Cypress.

My friend introduced me to visit. There were a lot of people. The food came out quickly after ordering, and if it was dine in, they gave me a numbered ticket and brought me the food. All the food was delicious and the sauce was delicious. The staff were very friendly.

We finally found a taco place within the cypress area that has it all - homemade tortillas - both flour and maíz. Excellent green salsa - the kind they serve in a squeeze bottle. A great variety of breakfast tacos and meats. Barbacoa was right on. Chips and salsa served with breakfast on request. The Telge taco was delicious also. Although super busy, the service was quick and friendly.

Went here for my first time. I was craving menudo and my best friend and I said let’s do it. So we show up and you have to order at the front (which is why I rated it 4 stars) I’m at a sit down restaurant I don’t want to feel like it’s fast food. And it makes it difficult to tip bc you don’t know what type of service you’re going to get. Anyways my friend got breakfast tacos and I got the menudo. The serving sizes were a great size. Definitely get your moneys worth! The menudo had amazing flavor and their corn tortillas were hot and so delicious!! I will definitely be going back to this place. Just need to have an empty belly. LoL be ready to enjoy and be rolled out! 😂

Best tacos in our area! We eat here literally 4-5 times a week, mostly get the tacos, but everything is good. Tortillas are made fresh. Everything tastes homemade, and the barbacoa is super legit! Service is always friendly and on point. Prices are very reasonable for today. If you haven't tried it, you're missing out!

Still as awesome as ever! Mex Taco House has the best breakfast tacos in Cypress, full stop. Love the tortillas they use, everything is made fresh and in real time. Obviously tacos are the stars at this particular venue, but if you're going to be dining in, you really should check out what has to be their featured act: Huevos Rancheros! Also the Breakfast Plate is highly recommended. The salsa is fantastic, and they're cooked with love. Clean place, great food, and the best service around. They are very crowded on weekends and their drive thru always seems to be forever packed, but if you are patient and wait your turn you will definitely be rewarded. Strongly recommended.

Google is wrong when they say “just a standard restaurant serving Mexican food” not even close and I’m very picky about food. This place has off the charts great food! We just tried this for the first time. AWESOME tacos. They even have a drive thru. We got the Barbacoa, chicken fajita and pastor tacos. They were all great. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the pastor was perfect and the barbacoa was tender and juicy. We liked their green sauce too. If you want a large order of it, you have to order the green sauce a day in advance. Amazing tacos, highly recommend! 👌🏽

We tried this place at the other location and liked the tacos and how it seemed like a family run business. We have gone to the current location now twice and have decided they have our new fave breakfast tacos. We’re easy, we like the telge taco so we place the order over the phone and go pick it up. The staff is friendly and fast. The food is delicious and we look forward trying the tortas and migas some time.

This place is always packed and it's because the food is excellent. If you are ordering to-go, I recommend calling ahead. I've had the shredded beef, bacon and egg, jimmy dean and egg as well as the taco houston all were outstanding including the green sauce. 10/10 will be back and recommending to others!

Absolutely worth the stop... I live in Tomball so it's hard to find a good Authentic Mexican Tacos with homemade tortillas like the way Grandma used to make, this is the place I found it. A small business owner I'll support that . Food is fresh and hot. They not only have tacos but they have pozole and barbacoa on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays they even have homemade tortillas to go if you like to take some home. My son and I were happy with this place and breakfast very satisfying.

Ordered the MexTaco. It was a quesadilla sized tortilla, so some people may consider it a meal in itself. It was so tasty and filling. Definitely recommend. Service is alright and vibe was neutral. Would come back.

I love the breakfast tacos at this place. I stopped by for lunch and had the lunch plate with two meats. The fajitas had a good flavor but were dry like they had been sitting under a heatlamp. I am sure that if they were fresh, they would have been great. The asaado de puerco was good, but the meat was not tender. They sacrifice speed for quality. I don't fault them. I prefer quality over speed any day.

Went there last weekend with the fam after church. I had the migas and my wife had the specialty tacos. The kids had the ham & egg tacos and they loved it. To drink I had the horchata and everyone else had coke. The horchata was on point. One of the best horchatas I’ve ever had. Everything was delicious and they have a super friendly staff.

I've been waiting for this place to open and now I can say it was worth the wait! Had the chicken and sausage, beef, carnitas and side of rice and beans. Every thing to go. Tortillas were made right there. So far my favorite is the carnitas but they all were good. Currently open 6-2. I'll be back.

i new this place was a hit when I first went there, before it had a line every weekend. I prefer the tacos over a plate but plates are not bad. Would chose this place over any taco house around. My favorite was chillosos on 20th but this place is way closer to me. Good job max taco hose!!!!!

The best breakfast tacos around. The tortillas are amazing and pliable with zero lard- can't stand when they fall apart or raw from so much lard. The potato and egg with a strip of huge, full strip of bacon that covers the width and length of the taco- AMAZING!! All of the breakfast tacos are huge and fresh!! Love the spicy green as well. I wish the chips fused or the chilaquiles were thicker as they get soggy fairly fast, but flavor and presentation are good. Love this place and the staff always accommodates with a smile :-).

I love the tortilla they have at this restaurant! They do breakfast all day and have juicy barbacoa meat during the week as well! Breakfast Plate has generous portions of meat and egg. The Tortas are huge and the bread reminds me of stretchy bread. Their green salsa has a kick to it and it's one of my favorites. My take out order was fulfilled pretty fast during busy lunch hours and the lady at the front was very nice.

The BEST breakfast tacos on the NW side of Houston. The tortillas are so soft, everything is fresh, and delicious. We usually get 3 tacos, one green hot sauce, and that fills us up well into lunch time. If I have time in the mornings, this is my #1 favorite spot to eat if I don’t want to cook.

I probably wouldn’t return for breakfast. Seems to me the eggs are already cooked (cafeteria style) because my order was ready in 1-2 minutes. The tacos were dry. I would recommend putting refried beans in them.

A dizzying variety of Mexican food options for a taco house, all of them made with quality ingredients and care. Just a heads up that the drive through line is tight and a bit tricky to navigate. They keep the food coming out quick, though. Also, ask about spiciness level as some dishes are spicier than they appear.

Stopped by this morning to get some breakfast tacos with my husband. The cashier was friendly and gave us some great recommendations. I had the Cypress taco and the barbacoa taco. My husband also had the Cypress taco along with the asado taco. My favorite was the Cypress taco and my husband’s favorite was the asado. The spicy green salsa was legit! I appreciated the fast and friendly service. We will definitely be back to try one of their plates.

Let me start by saying the barbacoa tacos here are wonderful! They are well sized and not greasy at all. I have been here a few times now and they do not disappoint. This is my new go to place for breakfast tacos. Their tamales are awesome when they have them as well. You may have a bit of a wait at peak times, but it is well worth the wait.

We stopped here for lunch today and they have truly amazing tacos! Everything is super fresh and the staff makes you feel right at home. If barbacoa is your thing I highly suggest trying it here if they as haven't sold out for the day. We love Mex! The restaurant is small but the tacos are delicious even when ordered for takeout. The tortillas are very flavorful and always fresh, the meats are well seasoned and the salsas are on point. Pleasantly surprised. I stopped by for breakfast tacos. There is no creative/inventive spin on tacos here, just an overall solid taco that I really enjoyed. The kind of taco I remember waking up to as a kid kinda good. Awesome homemade tortillas with tasty ingredients. Beans were pretty darn good too. Green salsa was just the right amount of spice and had great flavor. I'm probably going back for some lunch tacos later, lol. Staff was friendly and inviting. I think I found my new go to taco spot in Cypress.

Food quality is excellent! Pricing is on the expensive side as expected for the quality. My favorite item on the menu is the breakfast torta with chorizo eggs. I bought 23 tacos for my coworkers not paying attention to the individual pricing and it cost me $76 after tax. They all loved the tacos but my wallet was a little lighter after it.

MexTaco House has the best tacos in the area! Where do I start, homemade tortillas, custom tacos, huge portions, great price. All the breakfast tacos, the fajita tortas (i add a fried egg), the barbacoa, and the menudo on the weekends they do not disappoint. My favorite are the quesadillas, they put the cheese on the griddle to form a perfect cheesy crust and add meat of choice.

Decent place to stop for a quick bite. There isn't a lot of dining space so you might want to take food to go. I am not a fan of their carne guisada. Potatoes in the guisada seem odd and grainy tasting. However I love the flavor of their beef fajita meat and their flour tortillas are really good. They don't skimp on the toppings and I can stuff myself on just two tacos. Give them a try!

The tortillas are that perfect floury homemade taste and all the fillings taste freshly cooked just for your taco...not like some of those other places that just scoop it out of the bucket.

We finally found the best authentic Mexican food in cypress. The chilaquiles divorciados are the best. If you like spicy food get the green salsa chilaquiles if you are more on the mild side get the red salsa. La comida de Mex Taco es la mejor de cypress. El servicio tambien es de lo mejor, todos son muy atentos.
