Reviews of Sweet E's Café

Talk about fast, great service, great taste. We were seated within 10 minutes and the food came out shortly after. The portions were very plentiful and all the servers were very on top of making sure all guests had a great experience. The prices were very reasonable as well. A great local taste!

Good food, but touristy(the restaurant has no fault in this). It's an extremely cute place with decent food and reasonable portions. I had the eggs benidict with pork- yummy! The fried rice was some of the best I've had on the island! Parking was atrocious! I recommend people park at Safeway down the road to avoid the hassle. Overall, staff was kind and quick. I'd return.

Very homey feel in the way that the food was cooked. The food tasted delicious and the portions felt just right. We had zero wait time which it was great. We were lucky to get a parking spot since the parking lot is very small and looked full coming in. All servers were very attentive and service was exceptional. Give them a try.

Major top level breakfast!! Portions and flavor are on point, such great food and great service!
Low key atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating, the whole crew was totally on top of every step along the way.
We had a breakfast burrito, waffle and the essential breakfast (I think). I am a breakfast burrito aficionado, expert and connoisseur and let me tell you, theirs adds up, great all around!!
Hash browns were cooked perfectly, waffles too. Their French toast options sounded and looked amazing, those are a for sure thing during our next visit.
Wife, Daughters and myself were all very happy, highly recommend!!

FOOD IS EXCELLENT.
I rated 4 stars because it was a little warm in there.
Coffee is definitely good. It's bold and it gets served hot.👍🏽
The star of the show was the waffle. I can honestly say I haven't tried a better tasting waffle anywhere.
If you get a chance to come to Hawaii you absolutely have to make this one of your stops.
Kristi Miyamae
The service gets 5 stars and the food, 4 stars, so technically, I'd give Sweet E's a 4.5. I had the Hot Mess and a side order of the blueberry cream cheese filled French toast. We got there at 9 and was able to sit down after a 10 minute wait. A huge rush of people came right after us, so I think we were just lucky. The parking lot is small but there's parking on the side street.

Our first breakfast after arriving the day before. My sister has been wanting to come here, and finally we got the chance. Great place and food is well worth coming here to eat. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely come back for more.

First impression, a very busy restaurant but that’s a testament to how good the food is. There is an option to dine outside on a covered patio or indoors, we ate it inside. The variety of Eggs Benedict was their recommendation and I went with the Corned Beef variety and it was fantastic! Food was great and didn’t wait very long. The customer service was great as they always had smiles on their faces and was always ensuring if we had everything we needed.

Fun, family run restaurant with delicious food! Highly recommend for breakfast. We ordered the Benedict and the omelette. They are known for the eggs Benedict and you can tell right away with how delicious it was incredible spot for breakfast.

Eat with the locals at this quaint restaurant. This is not a fancy place by all means; however, the food was good, service was quick, but you are not rushed. The was a waiting list when we arrived but we were seated fairly quickly. It was worth the wait. If you’re in the area stop by. We will return tomorrow to try something different.

Great simple breakfast. We had the kahlua pork/ham omelette, and Hawaiian omelette. Both were good with generous portions. The service was excellent too!
Note: You’ll most likely have to wait for parking since the lot is quite small. There’s street parking too, but it fills up quick.

The staff was really friendly. I’m not a huge fan of breakfast foods so this was just ok to me, but I could tell it was high quality service and food nonetheless. Be warned, this place is a popular diner so the chances of having to wait 30-60 min isn’t rare; however, they got us seated quickly and I can respect the good service!

Outstanding everything, best customer service everything runs so smoothly. The food is the best!! We visited for a week and went for breakfast everyday except once which was a huge mistake! I will tell all of my friends who visit the island to stop at Sweet E’s

Someone recommended french toast to us. So we tried with high expectations. However it turned out to be ordinary French toast.. it tastes like we can easily make at home but it would be much tastier at home. Also, ice coffee is not freshly brewed, it is instant black coffee. If we knew in advance, we would not have ordered the coffee. But here is the reason why it is 4 stars. I ordered traditional egg benedict and it was the world best benedict ever!! Egg was cooked soft and creamy, and the benedict sauce on the top was heavenly delicious. It tastes like it is made of egg yolk and cheese. The lingering flavor in my mouth and aftertaste was amazing. It made me forget about how bad French toast was. And fried rice($5.5) was also tasty. The portion was great and it reminds me of the fried rice in the Phillipines. Although my friend did not seem satisfied due to the less delicious French toast, I am so glad to find this local gem. I will come back next time again with my loving ones and I am sure they will also love egg benedict as I did! 🥰

I would give this place one million stars if I could. I was stoked from the get-go with the HUGE cups of water and iced coffee (unlimited refills of the iced coffee, too — that’s so rare!). The food was straight fire. I got the spinach and feta omelette, but asked for it as a scramble and they were happy to do so! Side of sourdough and got some fried rice to share which was incredible. My buds got a breakfast burrito and the Hawaiian omelette I believe and all the dishes were amazing. All the potato sides and the corned beef were 👍🏼 Just to add, the service was some of the best I’ve gotten in recent memory. They are on top of everything here and I’m definitely going to be back to sample some other dishes. Cheers!
Jennifer Lin
First try after they moved to this new place. It’s much bigger and easier to get in. All guys are working very efficient. Taste stays the same. Best is the waffle 🧇 today. I was hoping the dishes could get some greens 🥬
Matthew de Lima
Try to get there early if you can, because it could potentially be quite the wait. Since the lines can be long, the staff takes your order before you’re seated so your food can be ready shortly after being seated. The staff was extremely attentive and polite, coming around often to refill our coffees or see if we needed anything extra. I ordered the Eggs Benedict with Kalua Pork and a side of corned beef hash. My wife chose the Blueberries and Cream Cheese Enchanting French Toast. We both absolutely enjoyed our dishes. My eggs were poached to perfection and the Hollandaise sauce had a rich and spicy flavor which had a nice kick to it. My one small gripe is that the meat was overly salted and I tend to prefer savory and salty. I’m sure it happens from time to time. Overall, though, we would definitely go back.

First place we ate when arriving on the island. So good we made it the last place we ate before heading to the airport. Loved my omelet and best fried rice I ever had. And the stuffed French toast was worth a second trip. Not much parking, but worth the effort.
Ali C.
Absolutely best breakfast spot I have tried since my arrival. I highly recommend the stuffed French toast with cream cheese and blueberries. Service was prompt and very welcoming. It’s a great spot to meet friends and enjoy good food and good conversation. Prices were really low compared to other similar restaurants another reason I highly recommend a visit if you are in Honolulu.

Heard about Sweet E’s and thought we’d try it. Had about a 15 minute wait. This place can get busy. Awesome breakfast. Good service. They were very helpful especially when we had a party of 9. Limited parking in the lot in front, so you might to find street parking.
Marisabel Jordan
So i finally came to sweet-e after my friend said they had some good breakfast… it was just that nothing more nothing less. The customer service was amazing and the food came out so fast . A couple things I did not like - when you come in they have preset water (my first water had something inside ) not a big deal but then I got my food . My pancake had a bug inside and it ruined some of the experience.
The blueberry stuffed French toast was not sweet but very subtle which is our preference and the hash brown was my probably the best thing. 🌺
Albert Ding
Great service. Parking is a challenge... but, aren't all popular restaurants. I had the traditional French toast with fruits and the wife had an omelet. The sweet bread was great. I like a good cup of coffee and they didn't disappoint. Surprisingly, it's Starbucks coffee brewed perfectly.
Katie Callahan
Sweet E's is a great little place. I feel like most people pass it by heading to Leonard's Bakery which is just down the street, but this little cafe packs wholesome plates to fuel you for a day adventuring in a way maladads cannot.
Service was quick, and the staff very friendly. For this visit I got the Lox bagel, my husband got the Mess and we shared the fresh fruit. Everything was cooked perfectly and the gooey cheese on my husband's plate had us both drooling (of course I stole a bite and with the addition of avocado, my eyes fluttered in satisfaction).
As we live just up the road we'll definitely be back for more!
Jody Lewis
Great service, kind people even when slammed and food is excellent. Our party of 4 had to wait 30min on a sunday at 10am for a table but we were able to order ahead. Our food was delivered to table 5 minutes after sitting down. The fruit was fresh ahd everything was well prepared. Water does not taste like bleach.
Jozef Watson
Had to try this based on other reviews and it didn't disappoint. The banana stuffed french toast was excellent, crispy on outside with gooey middle, not overbearing banana taste. The fried rice was excellent as well and had great flavor. The corned beef hash eggs benedict was very good but was a bit too salty for my taste. I would definitely get their benedict again but would probably try a different kind.
It's Just Alex
I've been eating here for years. I recommend Sweet E's to everyone with a mouth. Their herb roasted potatoes and chicken pesto omelet slap so hard I wish I could eat it three meals a day. Solid iced coffee and bacon cooked to perfection. The family working here treats you like ohana and they are so fast it still surprises me. Local favorite, you gotta try it.
The Jamerican Family
Excellent food and amazing staff service 10/10 price was great epically for the amount you get in quantity and quality, lots of variety on the menu epically if your trying to explore the true Hawaiian culture like my family and I. Our toddler loves her eggs!! Did I mention they are a family friendly restaurant, highly recommend the omelets and the stuffed banana French toast that’s what we eat and loved every bite
Chris Allen
We will most definitely be back on our next trip.
They were full when we arrived and we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. While we were waiting, they took our order ahead of time so we only had to wait maybe 3-4 minutes max before we had our food.
While we ordered multiple things, the stuffed French Toast was hands down better than anything else on the menu.
I can't recommend this place highly enough.
Roberto Gomez
I would make this your first stop for breakfast on the island, there is typically a long wait to get in here and for good reason. I’ve never had such delicious and fluffy pancakes in my life, the flavor profile was simply outstanding. The omelette was also delicious and as seen in the photos so good I couldn’t even get a before photos. Only ding on this place is “parking” because it’s non existent, would recommend just using Uber or Lyft to get here.
Zoe Lopez
The most friendly service. The breakfast is out of this world. The food presentation is great and the taste is even BETTER ! Very family oriented atmosphere and I feel so welcomed just the best service youll ever get ! And to make it even better it's byob
K Eyth
Delicious! Best fried rice I’ve had on island. It almost tastes like the fried rice at a Japanese ramen shop in Japan. So good.
I also ordered the Hawaiian omelette. I think it could’ve been delicious but the onions were burnt and gave the omelette a bitter taste from it.
The stuffed French toast was ok. Probably would’ve been better as plain French toast with fresh fruit.
The customer service was a 6/5! Best aloha I’ve experienced since Covid changed the island. Really friendly dudes.
Overall, even though the first experience wasn’t the best, I can imagine a better second experience to make up for it. Definitely one of my favorite brekkie joints.
Monica Chavez
Visiting from Dallas, TX and we actually had breakfast here twice it was so good!! I would definitely recommend trying their French toast!!! Especially if you love cream cheese! We tried blueberry AND the banana French toast. They were both sooo good!! And the service here is 👌🏼 you get in fast even if there’s a wait, and your food comes fast. Loved this place !
Jimmy Canlas
Great food and awesome service! We had the Kalua Pig Eggs Benedict with fried rice. The plate was a generous side and the fried rice is very tasty. Only drawback is finding parking…once you have that solved, you are set!
GuideMaster-11 B
3 words to describe for this place. Delicious, fabulous, unexpected. I wasn’t expecting this place to be so good, wall in the whole. Service is sooooo attentive, food is delicious, and I liked the vide.. the French toast was out of this world.
Kyle Basnett
The food was great, the time to get a table and get food was good, and the server with the mohawk was awesome! We came here with friends who were here yesterday and it was so good they brought us back. We had the Kahlua pork Benedict, the lox and bagel, and the stuffed french toast, and they were all really tasty.
Clint Ribble
Remarkable service!!! Staff was so friendly and helpful. Excellent place for breakfast. French toast and pancakes were great - a must try. Sit outside if seating is available!

Nice place to fill yourself up with tasty food and start your day. There was 20 mins wait time when we went. Good service, friendly staff, and delicious food. We ordered french toast and eggs benedict with hash browns.
Ali D
Our family of 4 stopped here after our visit to Kualoa Ranch. The service was fast, the food was FANTASTIC and the staff was friendly. We ordered omelets, waffles, pancakes, bacon, portugese sausage and roasted potatoes. If you are visiting Honolulu and want some great breakfast food stop here.
Rikesh Patel
If you have to wait in a queue in the parking area then it must be good.
This place was good and more. The host and the waiting staff went all above and beyond. Also very friendly and welcoming. Not a lot of places run this way.
As for the food.. just look at the picture....!
Stacy Kruzel Liszewski
The staff is cheerful & welcoming. We had about a 15 minute wait but they turn tables quickly. Service & food is excellent…worth the short wait.
John Ebert
Sweet E’s Café is by far my favorite breakfast place is Honolulu. I’ve yet to have a thing on the menu that I thought to myself “hmm, I can skip that next time”. Everything on their menu is phenomenal.
Regardless of what you get, you should add an order of French toast, it is on of their specialties.
With both inside and outside seating, Sweet E’s is able to seat many people, but be prepared to wait if you aren’t there within the first hour they are open. But don’t be discouraged, the wait is absolutely worth it.
Eric Guzman
This place was fast and food was good. Outdoor patio was nice sized. The stuffed French toast is a must.
Nicole d
The sweetest find we have had so far in Oahu. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. If you had to judge a place by the coffee ☕️ you would definitely be winning here! Luckily for me the coffee was just as yummy as the food! I hope to go again before we leave. You should try them especially if you are staying near Waikiki
Christopher McCleary
Amazing! Delicious food and excellent, fast service. One of the best waffles I’ve had: made perfectly as ordered. The Kalua Omelette was great too. Recommended.
James Parker
This spot was amazing the service was outstanding! Was able to bring a bottle of champagne in for mimosas and the food was great! Definitely will go back when I'm come to the island again!
Briana Brown
Everything about this place was excellent. The customer service was exceptional, the speed of service was unlike any other place we visited in Honolulu thus far. The food was great, options for everyone and affordable! The wait was only 20 minutes and we were in and out in an hour. The wait staff was extremely friendly and considerate, I couldn’t ask for a better experience!

Sweet E's Cafe is one of fine American breakfast places in honolulu. We are 3 people and went to this place after visited spitting cave spot.
We sit in patio,it is decent size and table size is not enough for 3 people I felt like congested table however, it is based on person to person.. One side we have cutlery, sauces, creamer, sugar and jam stand with our breakfast plates. I really felt like small table apart from it restaurant is beautiful and neatly organized.
We ordered coffee, kalua pork egg Benedict, spinach, feta and chicken pesto omlette. Food is delicious and neatly served hot and quick.
Cindi Rella
This little gem was great, worth the wait. It’s bigger inside than it looks from the outside.
The food came quick and was so very good. I also thought it was reasonably priced. And the staff always kept my coffee full and offered to give me one to go!
Natalie Westerberg
Absolutely amazing! Ordered the kahlua pork eggs Benedict and blueberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast. Both were so delicious!! The poached eggs were cooked to perfection! The service was incredible - all the staff were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming back!
D M
Very homey, the people were so friendly and the service was quick and efficient! The food came out quick, hot and tasty! Worth coming here 100%
Maria D. Guillen
This is the best breakfast that i had while vacationing in O’ahu. The food is tasty, and the portions are big. The servers are also really nice. Although the wait might seem like it will be long, it is actually a pleasant 30-minute wait. I came at around 11:30. If you’re looking for a great breakfast spot, this is it!
Brian Yahn
The waffles (especially), french toast, and potatoes are delicious.
Service is great, staff are really friendly, and the prices are pretty cheap.
In terms of atmosphere - it's not great - being on a busy street, and just a hole-in-the-wall type of place.
Still, one of the best dining experiences I had in Honolulu.
Bruce Thao
Everything yummy. Great staff so fast and attentive. Food is delicious. Parking does suck. Come early before the rush. Love to visit again.
Tish Ptomey
Food delicious! Very popular place, expect to wait. We got the Mess and Banana Cream French Toast. Friendly staff, very attentive.
Diedrick Griep
We were visiting from Kauai and my daughter told us about this place. Loved it! The staff is super friendly and the food is amazing
Brad Fastenau
A quaint little breakfast spot with friendly and efficient staff. Water on the table when you get seated. I recommend trying the plantation tea is amazing!
Thin Su Khin
Delicious food with super fast and efficient service. Homemade fried rice is so tasty and we usually get it as a side.
Tommy F.
The hosts were super attentive. You sign a sheet with your name and then they meet you outside to order while you wait for your table. Once my party got sat down, the food was out really quickly. There's a lot of options on the menu, and everything was delicious.
Caleb Hull
There was a bit of a wait but that's because it's popular. It's popular because the service is amazing and the food is delicious. If your dish has the option of a side of fried rice, GET IT. The fried rice is the best I've ever had. The omelettes are very good and their kahlua pork is amazing. As for their service, wow. I asked about getting a shirt but they were out and the server offered to give me the one he was wearing! Literally the shirt off his back!
Daniel Nelson
A little hard to find parking but once there were seated immediately and had outstanding service! The stuffed blueberries and cream cheese french toast was especially amazing too!
Wayne Stone
Away from the beaten path. Kid friendly. Local spot for all who come in. Diner type meals. Well prepared
Gina Flak
Food was fantastic. Best corned beef hash I’ve had in ages. Eggs Benedict with kalua pork - amazing. Banana stuffed French toast - yummmm! (Good thing we shared so I could try it ALL.) But the star of the show? The wait staff. They worked together like a well-oiled machine. Filled my coffee every time it was 1/3 down. Brought extra napkins before we noticed we needed them. Made stellar food recommendations. Cleared plates at the perfect time … all without being intrusive. Make the trip … it’ll be soooo worth it. We came just after 12:15 and got in immediately. Expect a line in the morning, according to our taxi driver :)
Daphne Liu
- What I recommend: Blueberry cream cheese French toast
- What I ordered: Blueberry cream cheese French toast, croissant sandwich
- Tip: Go before it closes before 2pm. Peak hour at 9-10am.
- Thoughts: Blueberry cream cheese French toast was fresh and creamy! We also ordered a croissant sandwich with corned beef which was well-balanced. The service was fast and the waiters were nice. He asked us if we were sharing and offered to cut the sandwich in half on two plates. We didn't wait that long at 11:30 am on Wednesday (15-20 mins?) and the line moved fast. The only downside was that the portion was quite small.
Riwaz Poudyal
I got the Hawaiian omelette which comes with Spam and Portuguese sausage. They were good but nothing magnificent. Their French toast were good however.
Catherine Denny
From the second you walk in it’s all smiles. We were greeted at the door with warm hellos and able to choose patio or indoor seating. Within seconds our table had waters and our coffee. Food was delicious! Omelettes we’re fantastically stuffed. They came out in less than five minutes with the best (and large) herb roasted potatoes - the hash browns also looked to die for! There was never a moment you were out of coffee or in need because staff were always around helping all tables. Everyone working at the cafe has amazing energy - wish I could eat here for every meal!
Maria Andino
Hubby and I came in a little moody due to jet lag but, we received much energy from the Hawaiian Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict. It was so good that we ordered another round! Great atmosphere and team work with the servers. Although, it was packed, service is super quick! Definitely glad we came in!
derrick maynard
Aloha !!! From the amazing service that everyone works together as a unit ! To the amazing food !! well worth the wait. I'll definitely be back ! Shout my guy Cleveland for the Tshirt.
Traci DuCloux
What a wonderful eating experience! The food was beautiful, everything tasted delicious, and the staff on top of our every whim! I’d give 6 stars if I could!
Thanks Maka!!!!☺️😋 …
B Lym (Blym)
Service is always 5 stars. Food is delicious and so many options. We never miss coming here when we visit.
Jules G.
Sooo yummy. The hashbrowns were perfect. The kalua pig was juicy! Not fatty. Make sure you get the guava juice. My pancakes were soft and tasty, my husbands blueberry stuffed french toast was soo good, I never like stuffed french toast. I can describe our whole meal from this morning because it was that tasty. Waited 30mins and got a small table on the patio. The music playlist was perfect and I sang most of my meal. Highly recommend
Evren Eryurek
Wow!!!
Great options, fantastic service
Kalua Pork Egg Benedict was delicious
Stuffed Banana French toast is simply one of the best french toasts we had
There is a parking lot, lots of indoors and outdoors seating
Must visit if u r in the area
Diana Chis
Really tasty food. The staff is so kind and quick. We got the breakfast burrito and it was insanely good. Also the berry stuffed french toasted. 10/10 will be back
Marianne Schelvis
This place is Extraordinary in every way. My sister and I got the Everyday Breakfast with sunny side up Eggs, pancake, hash browns, and bacon. Every single Element was perfectly cooked and perfectly portioned. Consuming this brunch was an absolute delight. Our server Owen was very attentive and chill and has cool hair that makes him look like a wise old stallion. In conclusion, we highly recommend this spot. It is Eggcellent.
Valerie Pelayo
We went to Sweet E's twice in our one week vacation. The first time left us wanting more! The food is absolutely delicious and service was quick and friendly. We tried pancakes, blueberry stuffed french toast, an omelette and my favorite was the extreme mess. Portion sizes are fantastic. I can't say anything negative about this place! It's so good!
George Rodriguez
My over stuffed omelette filled with kalua pork and a side of fried rice was perfection! The toasted bagel and lox was excellent too. Don't miss eating here.
The down side is the coffee, it tasted like burnt cheap diner coffee even though it was hot with free refills. Folks were walking in with their own coffee if that tells you anything.
Overall, go and enjoy one of the best breakfasts you can find on the island
Lynnetta Ford
Best breakfast we've had so far! Expect to wait 25-30 minutes. I believe you can call in your order. Service and the people are fantastic!
Aaron Jenkins
My family and I love to eat here. This is a stop for us to get good food and service. Family vibe
Keto Jenner
2miles from center of waikiki. Valet parking only for $3.
We biked to get there and walked back. arrived around 8:30 no line but by 9:00am place was fully packed.
Staffs were good in shape! Served fast and friendly.
I ordered the Banana stuffed french toast with bacon and peanut butter and my husband ordered the Blueberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast.
Omg I just loved their food… hands down. Best French toasts I’ve ever had!
Definitely come back!
Shirley M
Amazing blueberry cream cheese stuffed french toast. Wait was over 30 minutes but worth it. All the servers are men so some eye candy while you eat. Haha. definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the O'ahu area.
Lollie Islas
Hands down the best restaurant I’ve probably ever experienced. The food was absolutely delicious, lots of flavor and great quality! The service was as good as the food, which is what really sets this restaurant above and beyond! They were quick and yet nothing lacking. The friendliness of the servers was a surprise, they all helped out and worked together as a team, with great attitudes! They efficiently got customers in and out with ease and a smile!! All in all this is not an experience I’ve had in a restaurant in a very long time!!
Diamond Payne
One of the best places we ate in Honolulu! Even though they were busy we were seated immediately and the servers were very attentive and friendly. Great atmosphere. The food was incredible! And very affordable too, with large portions. I would very highly recommend this spot! And it’s just down the road from Leonard’s bakery too, so stop by both one morning!
Robin Rivera
Outstanding customer service!!!! Outstanding food!!! Must come and eat!!! Mahalo Braddahs!!!!!
Misaeel George
Best breakfast in Hawaii, me and my friends loved the food and service was great!!
Brian Ha
Best breakfast I’ve ever had. Everything is so fresh simple and delicious. The wait is a bit long on a weekend morning but worth it. Try all of the French toast flavors and get an omelet. You won’t regret it.
Hanshi.Nancy Wu
Lovely place for hearty breakfast! Especially after a morning walk at Diamond head…
Mis M
Second time here and the food and service was excellent both times. My son had the blueberry cream cheese stuffed French toast and he must've said "this is the best breakfast" about 20x during the meal. Like most breakfast places, there's always a line, but the seating was quick both times. Parking is a bit tricky here.
Kenny H
Loved their fried rice n hawwian omelet. Worth the upgrade.
Jeffrey Henry
The service at Sweet E's Café was only topped by the food. The Blueberry stuffed French toast was both crispy and fluffy. The waiters keep the coffee flowing. Even the bathroom looked like someone had cleaned it after each use. 10/10 would recommend. I am torn writing review because when more people try it the seats will be harder to get.
Dan Kleinsorge
Great place, we went here nearly every day on our vacation because we liked it so much after finding it the first day. The food is excellent and comes quickly. Coffee refills are frequent.
The breakfast burrito is great and the omelettes are really good. I couldn't try everything but it all looks great.
Matthew Kohm
Excellent. Worth the wait. Price reasonable. I had Denver omlett and was great.
Kara Chin
Great place for brunch! The staff were so nice and friendly. The stuffed French toast stood out to me. I was happily surprised. Highly recommend the French toast. We’ll be back soon!
Alexander Sibayan
Nice little spot out of the way of the busy Waikiki. Excellent service and even better food.
Daniel
Had an Eggs Benedict. All the ingredients popped. Potatoes were rich and the coffee was splendid with cream and sugar.
Definitely suggest calling ahead to make your reservation prior to peak times so your food is ready. Saw about 8 people on scooters take up one parking spot so that was kind of wild 😝
Rocio Gama
Very good service and the food is delicious.
They are very fast, we only waited 11 mins to receive our food.
Bunny M
Very cute little place. The dining area is actually huge even though it looks small outside.
All their servers are handsome guys, but they provide fantastic customer service.
Ordered an egg Benedict and also an omelette. They taste just like the way it supposed to be.

Loved this place!! The food was very good. Mix of mainland food and local so it has options for anyone. Good portions, we’ll be full for a while. I got the make your own omelette and my husband got the Hawaiian. Both were really good!! He got fried rice and I got the potatoes, we recommend both.
The service was great, they were fast and efficient. Only waited less than 5 minutes even though they were very busy (Sunday morning).
We will definitely be back, most likely going to try pancakes or French toast next :)
Michelle Brim
Stairs are made of wood starting to break. food is great. just the aesthetic need work can't tell it a restaurant or not. We seated outside without fans lucky for us a staff member suggested to leave the door open to let the cold air out from the inside out made a big difference thank you.
Salvina Lakhani
Staff is very friendly. Liked their breakfast menu. Quick service.
They offer outdoor and indoor seating. Overall great/reasonable place to have breakfast with family. Their portion sizes are big.

Ok so I saw Sweet E’s on a list of best breakfast spots in Honolulu and the reviews were promising! Just like a previous reviewer said, there were quite a few folks waiting but they get people in and out pretty quickly so you’re not standing around for very long! The menu has an exciting showing of items as well. However things get a bit complicated when factoring in dietary restrictions (that yea can be annoying for businesses to accommodate, but are fairly common at this point). I ordered the scrambled mess without meat and it looked delicious, but didn’t elicit the same savory goodness I’m sure it does when the meats are included. It was good, but not incredible. My partner had the egg white omelette with no cheese and it looked like scrambled egg whites had been fried and sautéed veggies were placed in between and the egg was folded over the veggies. So it looked like an omelette but the eggs and veggies were separate. It was different, not what was expected, and not particularly flavorful. Now the waffle was deliciously fluffy and perfect. That I would return for! Service was quick and friendly, which accentuates all of the positives.
All in all a good experience, despite the omelette woes.
Cesar Herrera
I had the breakfast burrito, my wifehad the every day breakfast, my nice had the Hawaiian breakfast, son had the waffles with fruit. All of it was good, in this area of Waikiki The food in the tourist area is pretty garbage. The food was great and filling, service was good and friendly. The price is very affordable compare to most of the places around here. The parking is very small, and if full you have to add your name to a list and wait outside. Constantly busy but worth the wait.
Charles Jones
The food is excellent, the service is excellent, the price is excellent. This is the best bang for your buck in Honolulu.
Adam Newsome
Great spot for breakfast with massive portions! I had the extreme mess scramble which filled me up for almost the entire day. Good service. I would recommend this place if you're looking for a big breakfast before a long day.
Mona Ekstrand
What a great breakfast spot! The food was delicious & coffee was great! Most of all the waiters were all very nice, talkative & efficient service! We will definitely be back on our next visit!!!
Tracey E
I had the Elegant Mess...all the good breakfast stuff thrown in with scrambled eggs and topped with cheese. Delicious!
Hailey Schubert
11/10 😍 The customer service is beyond anything ive ever experience! Quick to get seated, water was there upon arrival of our seats, coffee was there within a minute of sitting down! Food was delicious and their cream cheese french toast was incredible
Cecilia Lopez
1 of the spots that came highly recommended by a native. Food was delicious, nice and hot! We came early and on a weekday so there was no wait te to be seated. It was a good way to start our day!
David Mastrella
Breakfast was fantastic. Service was great and we had an excellent server. The extreme mess and blueberry/cream cheese stuffed French Toast was so delicious. This is a must stop for breakfast.
Tawhid Islam
New favorite breakfast spot. The pancakes weren’t my favorite, but my loco moco was amazinggg. Loved every bite. Service was also phenomenal and it looked like an all male wait staff. That’s new. But, definitely didn’t take away from the ambience. Long wait, but worth it.

We came here for breakfast during our stay in Oahu. Plenty of indoor and nice covered outdoor seating at this restaurant. Service was amazing, very friendly and attentive. They also serve the best coffee. We had the French toast stuffed with blueberries and cream cheese, which was good but not memorable. We also ordered the kalua pork eggs benedict with fried rice, because it was recommended by other reviewers. Though the fried rice was very good, we found the eggs benedict disappointing. The pork was dry and the English muffins were soggy and too chewy. However, we enjoyed the restaurant ambience, great service, and excellent coffee. I feel we came on an off-day, or maybe ordered the wrong things. We'd come back to try other menu offerings!
Paige Sylte
Friendly staff, you’re taken care of by everyone! Parking lot is small but there was close on street parking available. Recommend trying the Pulled Pork Benedict or Lox Bagel. The food was prepared very quick!
Vashist Hemraj
Nice food. Good size for the price and great service
Corynne
FANTASTIC BREAKFAST SPOT! We asked a local where to go and this was the place. There was a line (we were told there would be) but it moved quickly. This is not a take your time breakfast spot; the food is so good though you'll find yourself moving pretty quickly. I had the benedict hash, can't go wrong! Definitely get the hashbrowns over the potatoes. another note - parking is a little tough around there, but worth circling around the block to find a spot.
moonhs0001
Staffs were very kind. The food was also very delicious, especially the potatoes ordered with the omelette. I was glad to have a Korean employee(I especially liked "아빠"). There are pictures of him and his family all over the wall, so it's nice to watch.
Andie Campbell
Great food and very friendly service! You can dine in or take food to go. The breakfast burrito was good and they had no problem making it vegetarian. We also tried the omelettes and enjoyed them. Portions are hearty.
Buddha
It's simple, you won't find a place better than this. The service and food is more than 5 star's.
T Bongi
Great food!! Locals go here and prices are reasonable. There are no waitresses only waiters and sometimes you get a friendly , kind guy for server and sometimes a stressed out, grouchy guy. If service was consistently friendly this could be 5 stars.
My Word is My Life
Very nice people, fast service. The food was not good. The hash browns were okay, the eggs were not done right, very little flavor. The portions were not great. The kalua pork was super salty. Won't be back. The smoked salmon was not good. Zero flavor.
Paul M
Banana-stuffed French toast and the homemade corned beef hash eggs benedict were fantastic. Really friendly staff who provide cheery service. Worth the wait (and there usually is one). Will be back!
Jess Wampler
Amazing service and food! We were told it would be a 15 min wait (around 730am) and it was maybe 10. Coffee was always full, pineapple juice was amazing. We got the lox bagel and the kalua pork omlette and they were both amazing!!! Would definitely recommend. Parking lot is limited but there is street parking available nearby!
James Seron
When you get to heaven, and there isn’t a Sweet E’s Cafe, then you may not be in heaven...
This cafe is the whole thing, amazing food and super friendly staff! This is definitely going to become a family tradition every time we visit Oahu.
Ellen
Solid breakfast. Great for the price. Got the kalua eggs benedict and hawaiian omelette. The kalua eggs benedict are not too salty, in fact they veer on under-salted by restaurant standards but perfectly good for me. Also liked their hash browns. Parking lot is tiny but there's street parking and a huge lot at Safeways
Pang Van
It is everything you want in a breakfast place - great choices, strong coffee, juices and total island vibe without sacrificing quality of food. Staff works as a team and crazy friendly. Go. Support the locals.
Kenneth Burch
Best breakfast experience in Honolulu, HI.
Upon entry, we were Greeted with Aloha, every worker in there waited on us. Food was absolutely amazing and our coffee & drinks stayed replenished. Can't wait to go back.
Seen folks bring in their own champagne for Mimosas which is nice.. lol and a Mahalo on the way out 🤙
We got the the Mess & make your own omelette..
Aya Igdirova
It is the best cafe I've eaten so far. Very delicious and fresh food and super kind and well qualified staff. If you visit Honolulu it is a must visit place! We visited it twice during our 5 days stay on the island. I will definitely visit it again and recommend to all my friends. Five stars for the great service and hospitality.
JP Picart
Amazing service! All the proper precautions were taken to ensure that hygiene and sanitation was in place. The servers were extremely friendly and took the time to converse with us. Made us feel like we were regulars. I highly recommended this place to anyone and everyone. We will be back before we leave. Recommend the Kailua pig and corned beef hash!
GetUsThereAlready
A nice place to have breakfast away from Waikiki. Friendly fast service and good sized servings. We ordered the breakfast burrito and French toast. There is a parking lot out the front. The cafe is located close to Leonard’s.
LegendBb
This place is delicious. The food loooks amazing. And the price is fantastic. Cannot express how much I recommend it here! And great service
M D
Very tasty and lives up to the reputation! Great service too. If you’re visiting Honolulu this is a place to visit, one of the best. We loved it!
K- Rod
Very first place we went to have breakfast in. Food was delicious and didnt know what to order.
Service was fast and the clean up after each guest is just as fast, getting the table ready for the next guest.
It's a little pricey, 4 people, 4 plates, a couple of juices, was about $80. But most definitely worth it and it is Oahu.
Everyone, including my 2 kids, left the plate clean.
I loved the POG juice. It's a combination of Passion fruit, Orange, and Guava, hence, POG. Really tasteful.
Margie Folk
We enjoy the food a lot, but they turn up the sound system to the point that the patrons are forced to raise their voices. In other words, it's way too loud.
Anthony Brock
I officially have a new favorite breakfast joint. This place is amazing. I read all the great reviews and decided to bring my wife here for breakfast while in Honolulu on vacation. When you see this place from the outside it doesn’t look like much, but this isn’t a book to judge by its cover. They have valet out front and they move cars in and out of their little parking lot like a big automotive puzzle. When you walk inside the interior is very bright and welcoming. The have plenty of natural light coming which makes it seem very open. There’s patio seating and seating inside. The waiters all seem to work together and are completely on point. The menu is like Hawaiian diner style. I told the waiter to just pick something for me and make it a surprise and he brought me out the most delicious breakfast plate I can remember eating. It was called “The Mess”, but added corn beef to the top and covered it with Hollandaise. I also bright me me banana stuffed French toast. Not to mention they have great coffee. I can’t say enough about this place. If youre visiting the area this is a must stop for breakfast or brunch.
Gabriel Condreay
I went here on a Sunday morning and was extremely pleased. They have a valet service upon arrival and a waiting area. I had to wait maybe a half hour but it was well worth it. This place is a smaller more local type restaurant, but the food does not disappoint. They are very generous with their servings and the pancakes here are some of the softest and fluffiest I have come across. They can probably be cut with a spoon. Overall food and service was great. I will be going again for sure.
Martha Strickland
Best breakfast in Honolulu! Wish we had discovered this place earlier in our stay, half the price of a hotel breakfast. Try the hash Benedict and their waffles with fruit….best we’ve ever had.
Ceyelle Tee
So so sooo happy with this breakfast spot. We’ve been let down recently with reviews, but I really wanted to give this place a try. We’re vegetarian (don’t eat eggs, picky) and had plenty of options. Bagel, waffle, fruit bowls, hashbrown, coffees, everything is amazing. On top of the food, the service is unbeatable. I typically have to wait for drink refills and flag down a server, not here! My iced coffee was low, immediately refilled without asking. My partners coffee was topped up as well. They do things without even having to ask. Speed and quality unmatched. Wish we found sweet e’s sooner. Thanks so much for everything guys!!
Lily Winn
Best french toast ever. Definitely a must have. Outstanding service- 5 stars plus. Marston's Pasadena would be second best French toast.
Bert Kimura
Local style, local atmosphere. Informal setting with excellent breakfast menu. Generous serving portions. Enjoyed kalua pig in omelette and eggs Benedict. Delicious, very good wait service. Parking limited. However, on-street parking possible on weekdays. Parking may be challenging on weekends.
Mark Dolan
Hiked the crater and one of the staff at the Monument said the walk to Sweet E's was worth the walk just because of the coffee. The additional two mile walk was WORTH THE EFFORT! Great environment, not hurried but busy and efficient. The spinach, mushroom and feta omelette was perfectly prepared and great coffee kept coming. When on the island fruit and especially berries can be hard to find yet they must have a great source. My wife had the pancakes and smiled all the way through.
Sharlene Wong
Yummy place for breakfast. The breakfast wrap was delicious. We also tried the blueberry and cream cheese stuffed french toast and kahlua pig benedict. All were wonderful. They took our order as we waited for a table so when we were seated we didn't wait long to get served. Nice friendly atmosphere.
Leslie Miller Pearson
The best breakfast on Oahu! Great service, delicious food, good coffee, fantastic prices … amazing all around! You HAVE to eat here! We will be back! 🇨🇦
Nick Doty (Nick)
This place is quite a walk if you’re staying on the Waikiki beach, but it’s entirely worth it. Indoor and outdoor seating that’s covered. Staff was very friendly and quick, and food comes out quickly. Food was GREAT - make sure you go for local options like Portuguese sausage or Kahlua pork!
Deborah East
Good food for the price. Two breakfasts for $35. We would go back again. We walked over from our hotel about 1 1/2 miles, so pretty easy to get to from downtown. There was a bit of a wait, but not too bad. I think it took 15-20 mins. The menu selections we standard pancakes, french toast, omelet, Benedict’s. There was Hawaiian twist to the food including things like spam an Portuguese sausage. I had the corned beef hash Benedict and it was really good. My husband had the Hawaiian omelet and like it too. The place is small, but they seem to turn over tables pretty quickly. The service was okay. I did t feel they were particularly friendly.
Mzz N
"Sweet-E's" is aptly named. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is friendly and the food is delicious! The stuffed French Toast was sweet...but not sugar candy sweet...and very flavorful. Everything blended so well together that there was no need for syrup. If you're hungry at breakfast time, this will surely fill you up and keep you satisfied until or beyond lunch time. If not, you'll probably take half of it home...so that you can take your time and enjoy the creamy scrumptiousness.
The only thing we would ask to consider is to put blowers above the doors to keep the flies out.
Also, they will valet your car for a reasonable $3. But, if you're lucky enough to have a BFF whose other half is nice, he can drop you and the girls off so that no one has to miss out on the conversation when paying attention to the road!
Adam
What I liked: Friendly staff, quick service, and nice environment.
What can be fixed to get that five stars: The coffee was had a little of a burned taste and the cups were a little small. Not bad, just could have been better. Also, the eggs were just eggs, no toppings, no butter, no nothing. Lastly, who serves a pancake without butter? I would have taken butter over a half of strawberry.
Overall, I enjoyed the food, but there is room for improvement. I would eat here again, but I expected a little better based on the reviews from google.
karina sanborn
Such a relaxing atmosphere and the food is absolutely amazing and fresh! The guys that run the place are so helpful, friendly and provide great service! Great music too! Too bad I don't live in Hawaii because this would be my go-to. Their stuffed french toast is the best I have ever had! Ikaika, Chris & Nao are just the best!
Binaca James
Super fast service! The pulled pork eggs Benedict was good and filling!!! Get it with the fried rice! 10/10
G
Awesome place, with great service, reasonable prices was food was excellent. Would go there again. The only downside parking lot is small. Oh, and all male waiters.👍
El T
Super comfy, friendly and consistent here. Lox bagel/ croissant, French toast, omelettes and hash brown are my faves. Good strong coffee too. Modern and clean w good local vibes. I come here on the regular and it's always a good place to drop in for quick bite or brunch w family n friends.
Lucas Nathaniel
A nice breakfast/lunch Cafe with a fair range of food items at reasonable prices when you consider the popularity of the establishment.
Service was exceptionally attentive, with water being brought as we were seated and secondary options being offered immediately thereafter. Our order for two was provided within 10 minutes and didn't need anything to enhance the flavor.
Carlos Bautista
Feels like a family member welcoming you to their home. The attention from the staff belongs at a 4 seasons or a Ritz Carlton. Food was top 5 in my 9 day stay. Waikiki resorts needs to get to this level
Edmund Jaskiewicz
Great little restaurant. Suggest going close to opening because it will get busy and parking is very very limited. Do not hesitate to go. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing.
MARCELA LEON
Sorry give you 4 starts but even though the food is good it's not amazing for a 5 starts. It's an okay place to have breakfast and it's very affordable.
Angie Todson
Friendly staff! Delicious food. I thoroughly enjoyed the All American Omelette, with hash browns with onions. My husband had the Extreme Mess. Both very delicious. Decent prices, too. Sidenote: if you like buttered toast, ask for it. No worries though, butter is on the table.
Brian East
This place was recommended to us by a former native and I am glad we heeded the advice. It's away from the main streets of Waikiki and it's reflected in the lower prices of the meals. They have great Eggs Bennie and the omelettes we're good too. The walls are covered with family pictures and it's clear the place is family run. It's worth a trip away from the beach to eat here, but it's not a secret and expect a wait.
Vanessa Vu
Came here for some breakfast before heading out to our booze and cruise. The staff was extremely friendly! We got our food fast and we didn’t have to wait long to be seated either. We went on a Sunday at about 8:30am
Damien B
F*cking delicious breakfast food. I had the Lox bagel and stuffed French toast (blueberry) and my girlfriend had the veggie benedict & all of it was good. Good pricing, good food, good service, the only thing that sucks is trying to find parking so walk/ride a bike/moped, Uber, if you can.
Sarah
very good food. casual spot. waffles perfectly crisp with fresh ripe fruit. staff very friendly.
Leo Rizzo
Great place to eat. The staff is very friendly! And it can get busy quickly!
Sung Lee
Awesome place to have breakfast!! Not too far from Sheraton Waikiki Hotel. Our taxi driver recommended this place. He was right about this breakfast cafe.
joey tymore
Awesome place for Breakfast. You can bring your own Champaign to make Mimosas.
Deepak Mulchandani
Great breakfast spot in Honolulu. Wait was worth it and was efficiently served. Plan ahead for parking (limited) and the wait although the staff moves through the list efficiently and does its best to accommodate everyone. A definite “must visit” when in Honolulu. Added bonus is it is diagonally across the street from Leonard’s Malasadas, another iconic spot here.
Jenifer Jones
Amazing food and even better service! The corn beef hash Benedict is amazing! If you are looking for something sweet the banana stuffed French toast was perfect! Everything on the menu is so good. Even their coffee taste freshly made every time! It is definitely worth the wait!!
Kelsea Martinez-Johnson
I wish I could take this place home with me, the waffles were sooo good and they actually give you FRESH fruit and a good amount. My husband couldn't get over how good his omelette and hashbrowns were. The decor is super cute, the staff was nice, service was quick, couldn't be happier
Joshua Simmons
Stuffed French toast was amazing. Great friendly staff and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend trying out this Cafe.
Ak NooJ
Delicious well priced meals and a small menu to make decisions a breeze. Easily customizable and friendly staff. I got the extreme plate with corned beef which is made in house.
Laurie Gronewold
Family diner. Waited about 30 minutes in a hot parking lot to get in, but we were greeted by big glasses of ice water. The bread in the French toast made for possibly the best french toast I’ve ever had. Fair pricing. Close to leonard’s bakery, too.
Katie Pickens
Amazing food. We are it so fast I forgot to take a picture! Prices are very reasonable and service was amazing.
Isobel Egbarin
Got a the messy breakfast and a piece of French toast. It was the BEST breakfast I’ve had in a while. Super friendly service and comfortable feel. Love it here!
Chris Barker
Great food, great service, great patio! Made in Hawaii Pepsi. Had the blueberry stuffed French toast as a side and it was delicious! Had the all scramble as the main and it was really good!! Everyone we were with said their meal was good!!
James Langston (Lango)
Popular place, and for good reason, the staff is good and the food is better (no offense staff..).
We don’t come as often due to how busy it’s gotten, but when we do, we enjoy it.
Parking can be a bit of a hassle if busy since the lot has limited spaces, but you might find street parking next door.
Nestor Ortiz
Quick and delicious food presented well. Staff super friendly with a chill “it’s all good” vibe. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a slamming breakfast!
Porcia Ellis
I wanted to wait until I tried more places before leaving a review here. My initial thought was nothing to impressive but it was the first place I tried for breakfast so I wanted to try others to be sure it wasn’t the norm. In the end, nothing to impressive. The place is extremely outdated as well.
Josh Clapper
Set in a nondescript building between Kaimuki and Waikiki, near historic Leonard’s, this buzzy brunch spot turns out quality dishes at affordable prices. The soundtrack is a mix of pop and mid-20th century folk and everything in between. The decor is a series of small framed photos of what one waiter described as “friends and family.” Which was refreshing in that it didn’t attempt to be Hawaiian. I had the breakfast burrito, and it was easily one of the best I’ve had on island - excited to come back and try some of their sweet French toast. The line seems long but moves quick, even at peak brunch times.
Annie Cubbon
9 day vacation to Hawaii, and this was the best food AND reasonably priced! Staff was so friendly, and the wait was not too long. Such quality food!
D Lobin
Excellent, fairly priced selection. I had the corn beef hash eggs benidict and a side of french toast. Meal was great. The blueberry and cream cheese stuffed french toast were wonderful. $3 valet is worth it. 5 / 5 for me!
Anastasiya Stephenson
This place is very good. From fast service to great customer service. They are quick at preparing food, it tastes delightful. All over great experience.
Katrina Redd
The food was amazing!! The service was amazing as well! We had a group of 13 and we got split up on the way over but they were so cool, they let the first part of our group hold a table for us. All we had to do was walk in and get seated. The food was so good and that's why I don't have any pictures we tore into it as soon as it hit the table. I would definitely go back again!
Alex Nadolny
Their French Toast is to die for! Visited during the last day on the island and it was such an amazing farewell breakfast. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who visits a Oahu or even if you have a layover before flying to one of the many other Islands. The atmosphere is nice and they have an outdoor patio though the wait time can be considerable. Though it is most certainly worth it.
Laurel Gutenberg
Amazing corned beef hash and banana stuffed French toast. The herb potatoes are great too, and the half papaya was perfect. Service was fast and the inside is cute! Good prices- we ordered off the ala cart menu.
Anastasia Skoviak
SO TASTY! Granted I was quite hungry by the time we got there since we had walked a few miles from our apartment on Waikiki, but they were seriously the best scrambled eggs I have ever eaten. The pancakes were also great. The interior has cute pictures of the family that owns the place and it seemed like the staff were all family or at least friends. It had a very homey feel and I loved it. It was quite packed, but we only had to wait maybe 10 minutes for a table.
Dillon Morales
Unfortunately due to COVID it took 3 years to get back here, but I can’t say enough good about this place. Everything on the menu is amazing the staff is incredible and always makes you feel like family here. If you’re looking for a place to eat breakfast and lunch everyday this place is a must.
Ululani Victor
Breakfast all day? Delicious food? An entire staff of solid local braddahs? Reasonable prices? Yes, yes, yup, and holla! Parking can be tricky due to the small parking lot, but keep trying for on-street spaces because you NEED to eat here. Only have room for one plate? Try the corned beef Benedict. Got room? Add the blueberry and cream cheese French toast. You're welcome.
Saba Jhaveri
Simple curated breakfast menu with all the classic made to order. Even though there was a waitlist, their fast service led to quick turn over and we waited maybe 10 to 15 minutes for a table. Prices are also very reasonable and portions are generous.
Try to get here at least 15 to 30 minutes before your anticipated meal time.
A.R. M
Very kind staff and great selection of food items. Fast service. Food was tasty. Neat little local spot.
Michael Hipolito
I love sweet E's, been going here since they were just a tiny hole in the wall place and now they have a whole corner building w their own parking.
Pro tip: come early, put your names down ASAP.
Food go to's: Kailua Benedict w Roasted Herb potatoes. Or the elegant waffles!!!
Karen Cooper
I’m so glad our Air BnB host had this recommendation for us. We were seated quickly and food arrived fast. The staff was amazing and very personable. Best breakfast we had the whole week! Please come to Utah guys!
Sea Eun Kim
Goooooood food. Friendly service. Offers you to go cups for your coffee and refill. Crushed ice!!! These may be the best benedicts ever. The hollandaise sauce is light and delicious. Corned beef is so good and crispy. My bf loved his French toast. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out super fast. Clean, spaced seating and the line moves quick!! We were 8 tables behind and were seated in less than 30 min.
Ashley Cha
The best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant. This seems like a family run business in the best way - all the servers are helping you out and the food tastes home cooked. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but make sure to get a blueberry cream cheese French toast. Coffee is always refilled. They know what they’re doing here.
Kassandra Hoppe-Kelsay
This place was amazing. Large portions, great service. Great atmosphere. Parking is a little messy but meh, that's minor and seems to be a theme in the area.
Linh Clark
Good location, fast service, the food was good, and everyone are very friendly. It’s always busy here.
J
The BEST breakfast spot in the Waikiki area! Fantastic service, tasty food, big portions, reasonable prices. Really attentive servers, especially on a busy weekend day.
Caleb Hall
Service was great. Food was even better. Definitely recommend eating here. Waited about 15-30 to sit down but was well worth the wait!
Rag Sam K (raghavrockzz)
Simply a must eat breakfast place in Honolulu.
The omelettes are way too delicious and the hashbrown is thin and crispy, the wheat toast is one of the best toasts I’ve had in a really long time.
They have valet parking also, but if you find parking on the street you can park there which is free.
Overall, I’d recommend anyone going to Honolulu to have breakfast/brunch at this place atleast once.
Alison Cowen
Best corned beef hash benedict I've ever had. The corned beef was crispy and flavorful but not too salty. Most places over do it with the salt but this was spot on. Everything was cooked perfectly and the breakfast fried rice was phenomenal so definitely upgrade to that. Their unsweet iced tea was also super flavorful and refreshing. We got the side order of the blueberry stuffed french toast and I was really impressed. The filling had the perfect amount of cheesiness and blueberries. We stopped in on a Monday morning around 9am and were seated immediately. Their parking lot is very small but there's street parking available on the side of the building. The service was on point and we were able to have a quick breakfast!
Maxim Maxim
What a fun place to have a wonderful breakfast. Sweet Es is a completely family ran business and the service was fantastic. Short 15 min wait and the food came out hot and fast!
Ren S
I am so happy we stumbled upon this place for brunch!! Everyone who works here is extremely efficient & friendly. We were seated promptly, drinks brought right away, order taken as soon as our menus were set aside, the food came out hot and quickly, and our check was brought as the table was cleared. Wow. As for the food - amazing!! I was craving stuffed french toast and theirs was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant
Jessica Perez
Awesome place in downtown Honolulu. Great staff who kept the coffee refills coming. Food was amazing! Can’t miss with the Denver omelet and hashbrowns.
Adept ZJ
Great breakfast. We got omelete, french toast and waffle. Everything was delicious, service is nice. They serve breakfast till 2 PM. Also no problem with the parking
Mina Moon
All male staff, they’re all very friendly and attentive. Food is good and portions as well. Small parking lot in front. They have water right when you walk in on the left. I would recommended this place and I will come back!
Tolulope Aje
There’s usually a line here , but the food makes it worth the wait . The Hawaiian French toast traditional or banana stuffed is really good .
taila alapai
Enjoyed the Pesto Club and she had the Sweet E salad and was alright, I think leaving the chicken breast sliced may have a better effect, than diced. Overall was satisfying but have soup the next time. Will try breakfast in the future
Alfonso Perez
Great breakfast, Prompt service, friendly staff, and comfortable atmosphere. The whole staff works together so we never lacked anything. Of course food was Deeeelicious!
timothy herrick
Great, fast, friendly service. Breakfast was ono and affordable. Staff sport awesome haircuts!
Karim Amos
Fried rice was amazing. I got the pork eggs Benedict...so good. This is a place not to miss on a visit to Honolulu
Dinah W
The food was amazing and the staff was the best staff that I’ve seen in a long time! I’ll definitely be back every time I’m in town. Please treat yourself to an awesome breakfast with great service!
Kimberley Ellis
Pancakes are light and fluffy, eggs Benedict was really well done and the breakfast burrito was devoured! Really friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit!
Ryan Joy
Excellent place to go for breakfast. Typically pretty busy but well worth the wait. Food was delicious. I would definitely come back here again.
TODD AKAMINE
Quite possibly the best dining experience I’ve had since returning home to hawaii. The only thing that can even be considered better than the food is the staff. If I could rate more than 5 stars I would
Jennifer Bustamante
Best place to eat ever!!! Would totally recommend everyone coming here. Our food was amazing and the staff was even better. This place get real busy at 08:30 to 9ish so I would get there early. But its a great place to eat when you're in waikiki!!!
Tiko Koreen
Our favorite breakfast/brunch place on Oahu! Valet parking only. Some shade and tables outside while you wait. Nice and cold inside on a hot day. Food is fantastic with man options.
David Repassy
Food was out of this world with fast and friendly service. I would recommend getting there early as parking is extremely limited and they are very popular.
G B
Instantly one of our favorite spots! Service was amazing. Got seated right away. We got the corned beef hash benny. The only problem you might come across is parking. They only have 6-8 stalls in the front so you have to park on the street, which could take a while.
Jonathon Bice
Excellent place for breakfast. The staff was friendly and the service was great. I will definitely be eating there again soon!
Trevor Richards
2,000th review here!
This place is simply amazing guys, you need to come here. Excellent selection of food both regular breakfast staples mixed with a Hawaiian flare. Portuguese sausage = amazing. Omelette with portuguese sausage and spam = even more amazing. My wife got the french toast... omg it was made with Hawaiian sweet bread. Hawaiian sweet bread!! So good.
Btw Idk about the reviews that mention valet, maybe they don't offer it anymore but we lucked out and got 2 close parking spots. Otherwise you have to park on the street.
Darlin Menace
$3 valet added to bill, if you dont self park.
U come in & sign a sheet of paper, then wait outside.
May bring your own champagne & the restaurant supplies OJ.
(Restaurant staff were all men!)

That moment when you have to stop eating to take a picture.... Sweet E’s is that place. Simply put this place is perfect from service, cafe ambiance, and last but nothing least the food. Don’t be afraid by long lines because they whip up this perfect food with a near impossible speed The corn beef hash benedict pictured below has changed my life. Thanks guys!
Jonathan
This place is simply outstanding. Staff is very attentive and the breakfast is over the top good. If you have the time this is a must try.
Christian Costa
Hawaiian food without the typical Hawaiian prices! Super delicious breakfast/brunch spot just outside Waikiki on kapahulu. The photo doesn't do justice but I was too excited to eat rather than do a photoshoot of what may be my new favorite first-meal-of-the-day restaurant. I did the Hawaiian omelette and fruit waffle. My girlfriend did the Portuguese sausage croissant sandwich and papaya bowl. All of which was shared and destroyed within minutes and all for $36! Service was very fast and tentative. My coffee was never empty (free refills) and my water never ran dry. I would give sweet e's cafe 6 stars out of 5 if I could!
Anvesh Reddy
Good service...Great food... we had an awesome breakfast here
Jhanelle Evans
Everything was so good! Vallet parking is available and so convenient in an area that does not have much parking availability. The servers are man that are awesome at customer service. The best breakfast I had in Honolulu
Marion Pavillet
Delightful crew and service, great brunch food. Such a nice find. Would 100% come back
Hector Fuentes
This place was phenomenal! (my son's words). Dont hesitate to try it out, you wont regret it!
Cameron Huckabee
Crazy good breakfast (sweet and savory)!
Wife and I are still talking about how good this place was. I got the extreme mess and she got the blueberry cream cheese French toast. I’m still trying to figure out how to recreate each of them at home because they were so excellent.
Price point was very fair and the staff were super friendly. 5 starts don’t do this place justice. A must-try!
Yik Wai Ng
The pork eggs Benedict is great; the stuffed french toast is a bit oily; tried croissant before which is great; the drinks here are not that great.
Derek L
Great place! Came here on a Monday morning. Loads of parking and didn’t have to wait. Loved the fried rice option! Will be back!
Jihye Cho
Great breakfast comfort food!
Anthony Spadaro
Fantastic!!! Found via Google search and could not have been more pleased. The Service is fast, professional and super kind/nice. The menu - just the right amount of choices. The Denver Omelette was incredible. Best part, the fried rice - so good and worth going back just for the Fried Rice.
Ashley M
If you're looking for spectacular service and an excellent meal, stop here! They make sure your cup is always full, pun intended. The eggs Benedict with the pork is top notch. A family owned restaurant just a short drive from the beach. There's also a playground next door. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
Mana Pua
Sweet E's is awesome! their food is ONO, waiters are always pleasant & provides good customer service. The only problem is their small parking lot!
Mauro Gutierrez
Amazing breakfast place! From the Kalua omelet to their coffee, this place is a must for breakfast in Oahu. Highly recommend
Sara Looks
really nice staff. I got one of the omelette dishes, filling and delicious. nothing crazy here more of a traditional lowkey local spot.
Sandra Magaña
Amazing cool people working there, food was amazing. Good price for food! Wait was a lil bit but worth it!
Ammara T
Best breakfast spot on the entire Island! We came here 3 days in a row because there food was so delcious and fresh everytime. The first day we were in a rush since we had to drop off our friend at the airport and let the server know and they were super fast in getting us seated and our food arrived in 15mins. The service was super amazing and efficent. We got here before 9am and there were only 1 or 2 people already infront of us waiting for a table. My favorite dish was the omlette with hashbrowns. My husband got the corn beef hash and absolutely loved it. We also tried the french toast which was also delicous. Honestly cant go wrong with anything on their menu. Oh and loved the breakfast burriotto! The flavors were on point and they subed avocado for no meat.
Parking can be a little tight since they have like 5 spots in their lot but there is lots of streeting parking available.
James Armour
Visited Sweet E's this morning and have to say, this is bar far the best service I have ever received. The staff was amazing. They noticed my fiance was cold and resat us to the patio where it was warmer, brought extra sauce, and were on top of their game. The breakfast burrito, waffles, and French toast were delicious.
Saul Ochoa
Had a quick breakfast here. The staff was very nice. Food was so tasty, and inexpensive. I would eat here again and bring friends.
Warning: parking is difficult cause its so popular.
DaFran Ware
Great Banana Pancakes. Good music playing while you eat. Clean decent smelling bathroom. Recommend if in Honolulu.
AJE TOLULOPE
A long line always but the food is delicious , try the French toast stuffed with mashed bananas, bacon and eggs and buttermilk pancakes
Dann Shirley
Wish we had discovered this gem before our last day in Honolulu… fantastic breakfast and the service is out of this world! Gotta try the blueberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast!
Matt & Rachel Clarke
Fantastic food and outstanding service . We are a family of five two of our kids have disabilities so we can be uh a lot to serve . The staff here were laid back but attentive . The food was fantastic 10 out of 5 stars. We loved the stuffed French toast and the Kalua pork Benedict especially.
Glenn Cariaga
Wife had the Kalua Pork Benedict, and it was an emotional experience for her. Only had good things to say about the food and service.!
Julie Brichka
I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was sooo yummy!!! I didn't even finish it all!
Cons: Had to pay for parking so we could park right next to the cafe. Otherwise, it's very tight there and hard to find somewhere to park.
Gautham Rathinam
Great place for breakfast or brunch. Good options on the menu and the food is delicious. From the outside the place looks run down, the ambience inside is on point.
Deborah Starnes
Our 1st trip to Oahu , this place was recommended and it did not disappoint. The wait was not long, the waiters were very nice and attentive. And most important food was very tasty. I had the Hawaii omelet with fried rice 😋 , hubby had the burrito and French toast, my son had a waffle. Everything was good. …
Katrina Johnson
Amazing food and great service here. We had the breakfast sandwich, kalua pork Benedict, and the "Extreme Mess". Everything was delicious and the Cafe had a great vibe to it.
Holger Heine
Great breakfast, friendly staff, and very quick service. A local treasure.
Dharamveer Singh
Long wait but has the best brunch on Oahu!
Ahmed Sabbour
Very friendly people. Had bottomless iced coffee, egg white chicken pesto omlette, and the spinach feta omlette.
Brittany La
It was good but not the greatest. The French toast was bland despite it looking so fresh and tasty. The bread can’t be baked fresh here . The place had a super long wait but they got through the line fast. My husband got the mess plate and he enjoyed it and the staff was friendly but I think there are other options that are even better especially for French toast. Also confused at who the waiter was because about 4 different people come up assist. Big disappointment overall , not sure the hype for this place .
Nyeka Crandall
The service was excellent and the food was amazing! The stuffed blueberry & cream cheese French toast was a hit.
D C
I went during the week so there was plenty of parking, I ordered stuffed French toast and they were really good, service is quick and they guys are very attentive and they are pet friendly.
A T
Delishious brunch!! I loved it. The wait was about 30min, we got to walk in the neighborhood and see some chickens before brunch it was fun.
Edgar Escobar
Best breakfast you will ever have! Very nice and personable employees. Fantastic service, delicious food.

Tomi Dolan
Absolute gem of a breakfast place! Great omelette and eggs benedict, service is outstanding!
Richie Sanders
Delicious food; fast service! The Benedict was perfect
Edgar
Good place for breakfast, interior and exterior tables, parking is an issue, just a few spots available, usually wait time to be seated.
Jimmy S.
Staff was great and the food portions were of a good size. I left completely full! Thanks guys
Mandi Tahiraj
Very popular local breakfast joint but worth the wait. We got kalua pork eggs benny with herbed potatoes. AMAZING. Great service + great food = I’LL BE BACK (channeling my inner Terminator) 😂 …
Emily Smith
I've been here three times in the last 4 years and every single time they've hit the mark. So delicious!!! 😍😍 …
ChaCha C
This place has awesome service, safety is enforced at the door and we're grateful for that. Now the food! OMG! The Benedict and stuffed French toast are a must!
Scott Moore
Love to find the local joints when we're on vacation. We were gonna go to Leonards but we didn't want to wait that long for a malasado. Next up Sweet E.
Walked in greeted right away. Sat down. Ordered Kahlua Pork Omelette, wifey had Kahlua Pork elEggs Benedict. Throw in some POG juice. Meal for a king. Delicious!!!!
Next time we're in town we'll stop in for breakfast again. Thanks...
Maarten Oosterbaan
Best breakfast I've had in a while. Not expensive and all fresh foods. Fast good service and free coffee refills. Iced and hot.
Gabriel Brooks
Food was delicious, I had the corn beef benedict with hash browns. Only thing was the egg was slightly under done. Over all good experience though!
Eric Yew
Great comfort food. Satisfying portions. Parking is tough to find when this location is busy. Just chill and relax when you get there.
Rumika Suzuki Hillyer
Sweet E’s Cafe was always mystery to me. I mean, they seem to cater pretty basic food that you can find any breakfast place. So what is everyone raving about? It turned out that their food is hella amazing. I was pleasantly surprised by their food. We ordered corned beef eggs benedict with fried rice and stuffed French toast with cream cheese and blueberries. Order the fried rice!!! It’s pretty crucial. Service was nice and prompt, since we got there early and it was near-empty. It was getting busy when we left a bit before 8 tho — get there early to beat the rush!
Not-your-average egg benedict was written all over on our corn beef benedict. The rich horandie sauce, muffins, soft boiled eggs, corned beef — everything is cooked just right and flawless. Pretty sure all other breakfast items are beyond standard. Stuffed French toast is something you can imagine, but again the balance of sweetness, soft and light bread, and the way they bake is so perfect. I know now why it’s so popular by locals and tourists. Just a little tip — store-front parking becomes $3 valet in weekends, which is ok but wish they start the service at their peak time and not from 7 in the morning when the lot is empty.
charlie hilliard
One person was rude, but after ignoring him, it was an awesome experience!
Shan Strickland
O.M.G! The best food! Hubby had the kahlua pork omelet, he said it's the best kp he's had on island. I had the corned beef Benedict, the best homemade CB I've ever had. And def get the blueberry cream cheese french toast! The service was great!
Deb S
The ultimate mess was delicious but could use 1 more egg. The French toast was good. Service was efficient and on spot. Credit cards are now accepted.
Curtis Mueller
We went back here three times for breakfast. The eggs Benedict is absolutely amazing. The service is friendly and has a family oriented vibe. The wait times can vary but it usually moves pretty quick. Go here as many times as you can while in Oahu.
Musi Moon
If you're a tourist, DO NOT GO BASIC! Not because their basic pancakes and waffles are anything short of amazing, but because everything on their menu is a six star rating from me. Friendliest service and tastiest food.
Fouad S.
Awesome place for breakfast!! Everything we tried was good.
R G (RG)
Great food! Tasty drinks , try the pineapple juice. Cheap price and a good bang for your buck !
Yyc User
Excellent service and food. Deserves more then 5 stars. Worth the wait.
Wendy Y
Hands down the BEST breakfast in Hawaii! The food was delicious, the service was perfect and its a great way to get your day started! I love me some breakfast and this definitely met my standards, along with my husbands who usually hated breakfast! Wish we had this back home. Cant wait to come back!
Y Miller
Good breakfast. Great prices. Nice portions. Super terrific staff.
Very thoughtful and attentive.
If you want a place to enjoy away from the overly touristy, over priced breakfast places in Waikik then drive 1 mile north of Waikiki on Kapahulu and enjoy Sweet E's Cafe.
Steve Field
Saw this place during our visit and decided to try it out. Great coffee and friendly staff. I had the blueberry stuffed french toast. Decadent! Definitely a repeat stop to try the other entrees next trip.
Mariah Ashley Perez
Everything was perfect! Definitely making it a point to come back every time I visit.
s nr
sooo nice! The food comes out quickly.
Rachel Carney
Best Breakfast I’ve had anywhere in awhile. Lived here many years ago and here on vacation now. By far the Best Breakfast, amazing service and great value for the price. You could tell everyone working really enjoyed their job! Do yourself a favor. Get out of your resort and go eat here! You won’t regret it!
Liv
The best croissant I have ever had in my life. The stuffed French toast was also just chefs kiss. The flakiness of the croissant and so so soft and not too much buttery Ness just enough. Best part the sandwich was only 7 bucks!!
Ruben Leal
Couldn't have asked for a better place to start our day! The food was amazing - of course I had the Kalua Pork Eggs Benedict, which was phenomenal. And the Stuffed Banana French Toast, out of this world! The best part about this sweet spot: the fantastic service. The staff here is amazing! They're welcoming, laid back, not rushing you, and are just all around good people. The food was great, but the service made our visit top notch! Thanks guys!
Brittani Stewart
I was here 8 years ago, it was one of the first places I ran to, upon returning to the island. I'm not sure if my brain remembered it differently or it's changed over the years but, unlike last time I did NOT clear my plate.
Shuborno Biswas
Nice Eggs Benedicts and especially fantastic service.
Abdulshaheed Alqunber
a must visit, delicious corn beef Benedict!
jessica salazar
The service was great and the food was yummy! There was a wait to be seated as it gets pretty busy but it was worth it.
Rod Morris
Great breakfast spot! Staff is attentive and quick. If you come here to grab some food you'll leave full and satisfied!
Jess T
I'm not a huge eggs Benedict fan, but the corned beef hash Benedict was out of this world good. I could eat that every day for breakfast. My wife got the big mess and it was also fantastic. And the coffee was amazing!
Nichole Sullivan
The banana French Toast is amazing. Actually all the food was amazing! The staff was awesome and friendly. The drip coffee was phenomenal and they offered a to go cup! :)
World Explorer (Travel)
Very friendly staff staff and excellent service. The food is always great. The parking is limited though
jon gerusa
I have no pictures to share, and mostly it's due to every experience from this spot being amazing. This quaint, homey and heartfelt local spot wows with it's warm and welcoming service to win you over before you even start eating. Homemade dishes like corned beef hash, pulled pork and french toast were phenomenal but still just a part of what made this place great. You gotta check it out.
Nashly Gonzalez
Best breakfast I’ve had by far! The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. The wait wasn’t too long, be sure to get there early though. There was a big crowd of people when we were leaving.
Edisson Romero
Well I really wish I found this place when we just arrived. It was delicious I’m really surprised how good this place is and the price was reasonable. Everyone looked liked they were on top of everything,a few waiters came to ask us if we were doing ok. They had a serious face, but me as a business owner I knew they were just trying to do their job. Our waiter was Steven and he was great! He was very tentative to our needs and seemed happy to be there and help us. We went in with a baby and a few places we go to we can tell by their face they are like “oh no! It’s going to be a mess” but steven was awesome even saying hi to our baby when she was saying hi to him lol sorry if our baby made a messed we cleaned the most we could. But other than that this place has great food and we had a great experience with the staff and specially with steven. Great guy. Music was good as well. If you want good breakfast just come here I highly recommend it we from Los Angeles and we super picky and this place was awesome. Ask for steven he’s the best!
John Smith
Do. Not. Listen. To. The. Karen's!
This place is absolutely delicious. Food was fast and fresh. Definitely made with love. Service was excellent! It deserves 10 stars!
Lara C5280
The Corned beef hash Benedict is some of the best corned beef hash I've ever had! The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Eat here!!
Anne
Everything was super tasty and fresh. Service was quick and friendly. Loved the French toast!
Jessie Owen Willis
Best service of our lives!!!
We arrived around 1:30 PM, we were sat quickly, immediately had beverages and they took our order.
Since we were sat outside and the restaurant had cleared we asked to move inside while waiting for our food which they did promptly.
Our server, Cleveland, was amazing, The food when it arrived was delicious and the entire staff was just fantastic.
Being tourists and not experiencing the best of service elsewhere it was honestly more than words can describe.
Thank you, Sweet E’s, and the entire team for making Hawaii paradise for us
Kevin Harrelson
Absolutely amazing food. Great service and friendly staff.
Shonda P
Excellent customer service and great food. I really enjoyed this place.
Walter Lim
Generous hearty breakfast... Great coffee constantly refilled very accommodating service
Cherice Pratt
I dont enjoy eating out. We cook most our meals and we like good food and expect good service when we do go out to eat. That being said Sweet E's is hands down the BEST place we've eaten in a very long time. Excellent food and even better service. Highly recommend!!! There is a wait and parking is limited, but the wait is worth it and it's Hawaii. Parking is scarce everywhere.
Katie Moreno
Best French toast I’ve ever had 🤤 …
Debra Caracol Person
Love having breakfast here . Coming all the way from Mililani, we look forward to a breakfast treat!
Robert Bennett
I may have posted a review earlier, but wanted to update. This place is AWESOME! The food is delicious and comes to the table hot. The prices are reasonable. The service is top notch, any server walking by offers water, refills and continually asks if you need anything. We visited Hawaii for 4 weeks and hit this place at least 10 times. If I am ever back in Honolulu, I'll be here again!
Larissa Lorian
We were a little surprised to give our order before we sat down. The food was great, everyone literally wiped their plates clean. Great crispy hash browns, the side of back was huge - highly recommend.
nohelani k
Got the banana pancakes. Loved them. Too bad my eyes were bigger than my stomach.
Passed by the restaurant multiple days and saw quite a wait. I made sure to get there as soon as they opened. They got busy quickly.
I would recommend this place whenever in the Waikiki area. I was visiting from Los Angeles. The staff is very attentive even with a packed restaurant.
Derrick Psaros
Believe the hype! The stuffed french toast is fantastic. Everything is fresh and the wait staff is friendly, attentive and prompt.
patricia Jones
Little overpriced my son had French toast bacon eggs hot chocolate I had chili with toast cranberry juice 45$
Ryan Thornton
This place rocks! Try their Kalua pork Benedict. So much flavor. Service was top notch as well.
Richard Campbell
The food is great and so is the service.
They get you in and out quickly so you can enjoy breakfast and be on your way.
Austie Beane
When the line looks long don’t worry! They get people in and out quick. There was like 15 people infront of us and we were inside within 10 mins. The food is amazing and the workers are on point with everything. If this tells you anything within my 9 days of staying in Hawaii, we ate here 3 times because of how quick, good service, and even better food!!!
Boyoung Woo
Omelets tastes really great :) All the staffs are very kind and nice. Overall, good price and decent place to eat :)
Anonymous User
Honestly one of the best breakfast places I’ve been too. The fact that they are speedy and offer you a coffee to go makes me appreciate the effort and passion they put forward to their customers. The food is also cheap and delicious to boot!
K
So so so good. My husband and I hiked Diamond Head for sunrise and decided this would be our breakfast and man was it delicious. We recommend arriving as close to opening as possible to avoid a long wait. Service was 10/10. Food. 10/10. We will probably be back before we go back home.
Cheyenne Imel
AMAZING FOOD, with even more amazing service. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. My glass was never empty and they made sure to get me a to go ice coffee before I headed out. I had the banana french toast which was very good! My husband had the breakfast burrito. Recommend this spot to anyone visiting the area.
Diana Sparks
Great food!
Kim Helton
Sweet E’s breakfast is amazing! I had the blueberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast and it was so delicious. My husband got their breakfast burrito and homemade fried rice and it was equally as great! Would highly recommend eating here while in Oahu.
Steven Lim

Stumbled across this place and was amazed by the food and great service! Cool place for breakfast 👌🏽 …
Christina Hernandez
Kalaua Pork Egg Benedict
... 🤤
Totally worth the wait, plus the staff is really nice and hot. …
Weston Robinson
Get there early. The parking is very small. Only available parking is on street or next Convenience store. The Blueberry abd creme cheese French toast are very sweet and delicious. The Kulua Pork breakfast sandwich was amazing. Pancakes are large. Omelets were good but bacon bits are very crispy.
Jeff Rosenthal
By far head and shoulders above the majority of restaurants in Honolulu due to two things; 1) The service is excellent, they treat you like a valued customer and not another uninvited tourist. 2) The breakfast menu items are well prepared, reasonably priced and taste great! The French Toast is like having dessert first and the Bagel with lox, cream cheese, onions and capers is an excellent old school classic.
Don't wait, You will not be disappointed.
Gianfranco Fuoco
This is a go to breakfast spot. They put the E in excellent. Amazing start to the morning.
Citlaly Garcia
I ordered the Benedict eggs with Canadian bacon and French toast. Let me tell you, I’m from LA & I have been to plenty restaurants but this one… THE BEST. This has been my best experience at a brunch restaurant. I absolutely loved everything I ordered. Would 10/10 recommend. ALTHOUGH, only bad thing here is parking but besides that food was amazing!
Justin Lin
We have been to Oahu 3 times now and we have always come here for our breakfast and brunch (multiple times on each occasion). Every time we came here, the place remains the same which means the service and the food quality has been held consistently great! I can’t say that for many places which tend to deteriorate over time. If and when we come to Oahu again, we will be sure to visit here again!
Kaitlyn Van Cleave
Great service with attentive staff and phenomenal breakfast!
Loan Phan
Great breakfast place with limited parking
Aaron Armstrong
The servers brought their A game today. Effortlessly efficient and thoughtful. They kept our glasses topped off, and had the food out in a twinkling. The food was delicious too!
Heather Hartmann
This place is so delicious! We had to wait a bit to be seated but once we were in, the three guys fluttering around the place, literally doing EVERYTHING, made sure we were taken care of at all times and our food came out quick. The food was amazingly delicious as well. We ate both sweet and savory things and nothing disappointed. Also, spring for the fried rice with your meal, it's more than worth it.
Meghann VanTatenhove
This place doesn't look like much from the outside and the parking is rough but the staff was super friendly and the food was DELICIOUS! We did the Koko head trail early and then went the Sweet E's for breakfast and everything we got was delicious. The outside patio area was cute and clean as well.
Robert Smith
Great little place, good customer service - just a great breakfast place! Recommended.
Naida Jakirlic
We had breakfast here on our first morning...and every morning after that. The food is delicious, the service is quick, and the waiters are so friendly and so pleasant. We are definitely coming back here when we're in Honolulu again. You don't need to look further for excellent food and excellent reception.
The Wheelers
Best meal we had on out trip. Amazed by breakfast!!!
George A
Great local breakfast spot next to Leonard’s! I got the Hawaiian omelette.
Mario Rondon (Oscar)
Great breakfast spot. Passed this place on our way out on our day trips a few times, should have stopped sooner. Tried the Hawaiian omelet, with Portuguese sausage and spam. Great flavor and texture. We also sampled the fruit bowl. Everything was fresh and tasty. The pineapple was better than anything we had at the Dole Plantation. Our server was patient and knowledgeable of the menu items. Will be making another stop before we leave.
Duane Moses
A great way to start your day in Hawaii generous portions. The food was amazing! Park down the street from the restaurant the walk will do you good after eating 🥰 …
Desirae Spiker
Customer service is great, bit if a wait. But the food is worth the wait. Got the eggs Benedict corn beef, amazing my son had there stuffed banana French toast. He ate every last bite.
Jose Llamas
Fantastic service, tasty Omalett, big portions, reasonable prices." Yes, I will come here again.
Carly Peterson
So fresh, so delicious!!! We got both kinds of stuffed french toast and they were so flavorful and the fruit was the perfect ripeness. We also got the enormous mess and the meats were all delicious and the meat to egg ratio was great! Everything we got was delightful, and the employees were top notch. They were so friendly and had great, quick service.
Marcus Carter
The staff was so friendly and inviting that it felt as though I was meeting with a friend I haven’t seen in a while. The atmosphere encourages good eating while also being very relaxing. The food was absolutely outstanding. Out of all the breakfast spots I’ve been to, this one takes the cake. The blueberry/cream cheese French toast is a must try. Definitely a highly recomendable place to go if you’re visiting or live in Honolulu.
Ui Mokiao
Fast service once you get a table. I waited about 10mins before I got in but was definitely worth the wait. I ordered the Hawaiian (spam, Portuguese sausage onions, green onions cheese) omelet with fried rice and blueberry and cream French toast. 😋 both dishes was sooooooo 'Onolicious!! Service was awesome. Highly recommend this place.
kelsey (kiki)
This place is the best. I always get the epic breakfast burrito sub avocado for meat and it's massive and amazing. Great service and coffee too! Every time I'm in Honolulu I walk a mile to come here for breakfast it's that great. 🤙🏼
Eri Go
Great food, big portion
Carleen Menkes
Eggs Benedict, sausage, bacon, blueberry cream cheese stuffed French toast, hash browns eggs are all flawless! Service is attentive, efficient and friendly! I would give Sweet E’s 10 stars!

Oh my gosh. I can’t recommend this place enough. The food was soooo good. I had the epic burrito with pork and a side of fried rice and it was everything I wanted and more. Great, quick service and everyone was super friendly. Will be going back to try the French toast!!
Kehau Kalauli
This was our first visit. Limited parking in their parking lot. But parking on side street. Upon arrival, I walked in and signed the SIGN-IN list. Our wait was approximately 10 minutes. We were seated indoors but they have outdoor seating available. Noticeable - all male employees / wait help / waiters. But all of them were very upbeat, attentive to all the customers. Our food arrived within 10 minutes after ordering. Our entire time there was very nice. The atmosphere is comfortable, employees all friendly and attentive to water refill, removing empty plates, etc. Thank you for an awesome first time visit. Definitely a future returning customer whenever we're on Oahu!
Tony D
Best breakfast on the island. Large portions and everything was delicious. I normally don’t really care for pancakes or waffles but these are amazing. Cant describe the flavor maybe nutty and coconut but super subtle and slightly sweet. The Pork was amazing too smoky and tender definitely worth trying.
Russell Mammoser
Outstanding breakfast! Terrific service! Highly recommend this jewel of a diner!!!
Cody Rainey
Amazing breakfast and awesome staff! Highly recommended!
Suresh Kumar
We were in Honolulu for 5 days for our honeymoon. We came to this restaurant twice for breakfast! Such amazing food (breakfast burrito, omlette, toast and coffee) and fast service. 200% you need to visit this place if you are in Honolulu. There's a bit of a wait, but you get seated super quick! We got here around 10 am on one day and 8:30 am the other day - both days had a wait, but we were inside the restaurant in less than 10 min
Mark Jacobitz
"Sweet-E's" was a wonderful breakfast adventure. The servers (well-prepared team) were both helpful & courteous. The meals were creative, tasty & eye-catching. The outside image from the street conceals the pleasant experience to be found inside.
Dianne Hernando
Delicious breakfast, great service! Some street parking and small lot that is always full.
Julian Paniagua
We had the stuffed French toast which was incredible, my favorite was banana flavored. I would also recommend the pineapple juice. The Staff was very friendly, service was great.
Cesar Diaz
I really enjoy my eggs benedict, small place but the food was good and the staff was friendly
Caroline Boyd
The Kalua pork eggs benedict is delicious!
Ian Bryce
I don't write reviews often but the folks at sweet E's have more than earned it. My wife and I stopped by on a whim after having waiola's shave ice on the last day of our honeymoon. The guys at sweet e's were amazingly friendly and obviously happy to be closing out their work day. They still let ut in and gave great recommendations for lunch. Good conversation, awesome sandwiches and fried rice. Can't wait to come back and see them again!!
Zuzann Rosado
There was 16 tables ahead of us when we checked in, don't let it deter you it goes fast. I had the Kula Pork Eggs Benedict with roasted potatoes, coffee and OJ. My food was epic! Everyone loved their meal, the service was efficient and friendly. Bathroom is spotless. Well worth $70 for 4 people.
Gaby Gg
Amazing food & service!
Patrick McKenzie
Best breakfast I had during my trip. My family actually ate here 2 times during our six day trip because the breakfast was so good. The corned beef was so good and the stuffed French toast blew my mind. Oh and the dudes all working there are straight hustling so you never feel like you were forgotten. Overall this place is awesome.
Taylor Marie
I'm absolutely obsessed with Sweet E's!! Their food is delicious & their staff is incredibly welcoming and warm. They have music playing, everyone was smiling. The atmosphere & vibe makes Sweet E's dining experience stand out from any other joint!

The food was amazing but can we just give the staff a freakin shout out? They are the whole experience. What a great place to come eat. It’s BYOB so we brought a bottle of bubbles and ordered some POG. This place was so good I’m leaving the review as I’m still sitting here. 10 stars if I could

Fantastic breakfast! Huge hot chocolate. The whip cream was as big as the cup. My son loved it. Pancakes and French toast were great. My family loved the French toast with banana and the blueberry and cream cheese. Really friendly service. All at reasonable prices! Thank you.

Nice place around Diamond Head to get breakfast, brunch or lunch. My daughter loved her waffle. I thought my croissant was good.

Extraordinary, excellent, enjoyable. We had great service. Everything looked delicious so need to return to try something else. A travel guide recommended the French toast with blueberries and cream cheese which were fantastic. The price was reasonable. This is a do not miss place if visiting Honolulu.

WOW!!! I love supporting the locals. This restaurant not only does that, it's also going to be one of the best food experiences you'll have while here.
On our first visit we had the Banana French toast and The Breakfast Burrito. A+
On our second visit we had the Eggs Benedict and the regular French Toast. A+
Please support thelocals. Xoxo Mahalo.

Food is really good.
We got the egg Benedict and it was one of the best thing we have gotten on our vacation trip.

One of the best breakfasts I've had

Long wait. WORTH IT!! Great food. Awesome staff. Will definitely return
Keygan Gwinn
Their waits are super short (even during weekend brunch) and their food is great. Their Eggs Benedict is the best I’ve ever had! The staff is also super super nice and great at explaining things and suggestions. Definitely a must do if you are in Honolulu

Had breakfast and everything was delicious! I had the Eggs Benedict and it was so good. Service was fast and efficient

Food so delicious I forgot to take a picture before eating it… the eggs benedict lured us here but the great service is why I would recommend it. Little to no wait time with how fast and great the kitchen and servers are! 10 out of 10 would recommend ****

This is THE place to eat breakfast and lunch! It is locally owned, which is important in a place like waikiki. The service is impeccable every time, every server checks on all the tables so you’re never left wondering if someone will come by to get you anything you need. The food is delicious and made with love. Best experience for breakfast in waikiki by far!

Sweet E’s is outstanding! The food was excellent. Highly recommend the Extreme Mess and Stuffed French Toast. Service was friendly and fast. Hope to eat here again before we head home.

Texans, don't miss the breakfast burrito! Actually everything here is amazing.

This was our first breakfast on Oahu. As the previous reviews have reflected, the food was delicious and the wait staff were wonderfully friendly and quick to refill our glasses and serve the food. We had banana french toast, pancakes and a bigger meal including eggs, bacon and potatoes. Recommended!
Dominic Diaz
Everyone's meal was excellent and service was awesome! Only regret was not finding this place sooner during our vacation.

AMAZING!! Everything we've had on the menu is delicious. So good in fact, we've eaten breakfast here 3 days in a row! Everything on the menu is great so you can't go wrong with whatever you order. There is usually a wait but the staff are fast so it's not that long. The staff are friendly and hard working and 3 of the servers remebered us and welcomed us back. Things like that make customers feel appreciated and want to come back. We LOVE Sweet E's and definitely recommend it!!

Awesome little spot out of the tourist area. Quick service, great breakfast options, fast and friendly service! A must try and worth the short drive/Uber ride from Waikiki beach!
Great prices too. Highly recommended!
Valerie Jones
Great food and everyone was helpful and all checked on us. They are a great team and work together to make sure their customers are well taken care of. We will be back.

Sweet E's was the closest thing to a diner in Hawaii. The prices weren't bad at all. but the food was average. Not worth going out of the way since it's not in Waikiki, but since it's near the popular highways if you're heading that way, worth getting a break on the insane Waikiki prices over at Sweet E's.

We ate here at 8:15am on a Monday morning and there was no wait! We were promptly seated. The food was delicious! My husband had the eggs Benedict and a banana pancake and said both were really good! My breakfast burrito was HUGE and delicious! Will come here again next time we are on Oahu!

Amazing local restaurant with great food - came here as a tourist, off the beaten path, and was amazed. Granted, the furniture and the place look a little run down but it adds to the charm of this place - once you meet the super friendly staff and your yummy plate is served, you will forget about all of that. The "mess" plate was really great, the french toast with blueberries simply the way it has to be. The coffee is like what you would expect in such a charming place - maybe best avoided if you're a coffee expert. Overall: if you haven't been here, you haven't been to Honolulu.

Hands down the best place to eat breakfast or lunch on the island. I’m not one to eat breakfast but it was so good we came here 3 out of the 5 days during our stay. They just get it - amazing breakfast while keeping it simple. It was a great mixture of traditional American breakfast and local favorites (such as spam, pork ext). I mean even the hash browns (which seems simple) was so good! I would recommend any of the omelets or eggs Benedict - Their hollandaise is very well made. If you’re into corn beef hash, please order it here - it’s house made and made perfectly! Not only is the food great but the staff is even better! They are so kind, so quick and are so efficient. They seat you quickly and your food comes quickly as well - it’s no long wait at all. This will certainly be our go to every time we visit the island! This is why I’m so adamant about supporting local businesses - this is a family run establishment and gem you don’t want to miss out on! Wish they would open locations on the mainland! We felt very safe eating there as well. They take temps before entering and quickly wipe down tables and menus before turning it over. Very clean covid-19 practices. Tables are also nicely spaced for social distancing! In addition, you must wait outside while waiting to be seated. I wish I could this place more stars!

Food is so good!!! Servers are friendly and look out for us licals!! Mahalo nui!!

AMAZING FOOD! It was packed but the wait was short and staff took food orders while you wait. Very smart.

I am giving this restaurant 5 stars based on environment, customer service and definitely the food. Please do yourself a favor and get the eggs benedict with the Kalua Pork. It is insanely good! Staff were energetic and very friendly.

One of the better breakfast places in Honolulu. The wait staff is really nice, they move fast and consistently refill your coffee. The breakfast itself is wonderful, I got stuck on the Kahlua pork eggs Benedict. Limited parking so get there early!
KChin
Good food, fast service, friendly staff. Eggs Benedict was delicious! I can see why there's a lot of people who rate this place well. Parking is small but you might get lucky (we did)

Busy but staff members work efficiently and it didn't take too long until I got a table. The waiter was quick to response and observative and I was served quickly and he even noticed that I was cold due to the strong AC and turned it down for me without me asking. Nice service and of course the stuffed French toast was fantastic. Parking is not easy.

After reading the glowing reviews here, my boyfriend and I decided to make the nearly 40 minute walk to Sweet E's from our hotel. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was great, but I was honestly disappointed by the food. It was good, but it was nothing special. Tasted like a slightly better version of Denny's at best.
I very rarely write reviews for anything, but I wanted to leave my honest input so that other foodies vacationing in the area don't make the mistake of coming here when there's plenty other better places to eat at during their limited stays.

Absolutely incredible!! Cute, fun, casual cafe vibe. Next to none service and food!! Homemade Corned Beef Hash Benedict was out of this world good. Thanks Sweet E’s~

Blueberry French Toast is the best thing ever....and I don't even like blueberries.
Service is fine and other food just okay.

The food was great, nice atmosphere. Our waiter was a little aggressive and I felt a little bit rushed
as they were attempting to take my food order outside.

This was an especially delightful place. The French toast fresh fruit and scrambled mess were exceptional. I also loved that the owner and I shared the same name. This is now officially my favorite breakfast spot in Honolulu 🤙🏾 …

This is the perfect breakfast place for us. We came here the last time we were in Honolulu, and the quality is still the same 😋. The waffles are kid approved by our 3, 8, and 13 yr olds. They have a little crunch and taste delicious. The omelets, eggs Benedict, and hash browns are perfect. …

Waffles topped with fruits were incredibly tasty! This restaraunt was definitely a "must eat"

I came here a couple times during my vacation in honolulu. Honestly the best restaurant I have been to. The food is amazing and the service is amazing. The staff is very friendly and they serve your breakfast fast. Definitely will return for next year's vacations.
Brandon
Food was pretty great. Had basically a breakfast skillet that turned out pretty well. The service was really amazing. All the wait staff were very friendly and very attentive. Every table was full and I had people coming by asking if I needed anything, if everything was ok. They were on their "A" game. I would love to come back!

The food was amazing and the staff were all very nice. My sister and I split the Traditional Eggs Benedict and the Blueberry Stuffed French Toast and it was delicious and enough food to share. My dad got the Extreme Mess and my mom got the Banana Stuffed French Toast and they both enjoyed it. We also asked for the coconut sauce for the toast and it was delicious. You do have to bring your own alcohol, however they were super nice and brought out an ice bucket for our champagne that we used to make mimosas
MegaShadow2
Best breakfast on the island.
Ask for the coconut syrup. I repeat. Ask for the coconut syrup.

WOW!!! Our first stop in Oahu at 7:30 AM. Ikaika and John Wayne were on top of the rush and super friendly! I've been a server for almost 20 years, and I wish I could be as good as them.
The khalua Benedict with fried rice was amazing! I never thought that fried rice could move me to tears.
This has definitely started our vacation off perfectly.

Sweet E’s
If you’re not getting there around open time, you’re going to probably wait for 30 minutes! Which is totally fine when the food hits as well as it does there.
Be sure to try the stuffed french toast.
Eddie “EJ” Nichols
I've been visiting Sweet E's for nearly four years now, and the staff is mostly stayed the same, AND they're all very friendly! I recently misread the menu and thought I was ordering a BBQ sandwich (it was actually pizza) yet they easily made it into a sandwich and it was FANTASTIC! Two other staff members stopped by my table to ask what I had ordered (because it wasn't on the menu) and how it turned out. Love this place.
Jon Gill
Awesome Breakfast. We are visiting from the mainland and have found our go to breakfast place. We are here every morning before starting our day. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. They treat each guest like a VIP. The wait is sometimes long, but the food is well worth the wait.
Kenny A
I got the Denver Omelette with Traditional French Toast….perfect 👌🏾 …
Rebecca Hancorne
What a cute little spot. Went looking for a breakfast place and while it was very busy, the staff moved fast and efficiently. Food came out quickly and tasted yummy. Staff constantly checking on you to make sure you're doing okay. Seems disorganized in a way because of the way staff looks in on you, but they are still very efficient.
Michael Mccourt
It's fine. Service is quite good (every time I've been here the service was consistently good), food comes out fast. Menu is not particularly creative, and the food is about at diner level. Limited parking, though I don't find it to be a problem. Good coffee.
