As far a hot chicken sandwiches goes this is as good as it gets, especially locally and is honestly one of the best I've ever had. Nice thick crispy chicken breast but still really juicy and would be flavorful even if I didn't get it hot. Got it medium, I recommend hot if you love hot foods but perfect if you don't have high heat tolerance but want a nice kick. Slaw is perfect and not runny. Shake fries were good also. My brother had nuggets and those were just as good and I also had banana pudding that I ate in the car which was a mistake because I couldn't get another smh 🔥.

Getting right down to it, a chicken sandwich from this place = juicy breast with amazing batter and excellent fry. An absolute pleasure to eat whatever your spice tolerance. However if you're looking for a challenge their highest spice level is sure to tingle. I eat at least one spicy dish per day and the code breaker still left a slow burn in my mouth!

I believe I first saw this on TikTok and figured why not try it out? The atmosphere is bright and clean. The staff were extremely kind and helpful with our order. The mac and cheese was creamy. The fries were well cooked (not my favorite fries, but alright). I like that they have the Hosmer soda brand. And even though I didn't get a beer, I like that they had the option. The most important part, the chicken. It was great. I probably would get tenders next time instead of my chicken sandwich. I tend to like smaller or flatter pieces of chicken, but if I did enjoy thick chicken breasts, it would be phenomenal. The breading on the chicken was greasy and crispy. Ngl, it was good chicken. Even though this is a hot chicken restaurant, I got the country non-spicy chicken sandwich (I loved it). And my SO bought a medium level of spice, which was decently spicy. 🔥 Oh! and I really like the boxes that the food came in!

This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered chicken tenders, french fries, cole slaw, and mac n cheese. The chicken was medium heat, very tasty, moist, and tender. Very satisfying. The cole slaw was strangely dry but had a vinegar taste in every bite. The fries had been sitting a bit and the macaroni was average. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 7.8.

Delicious Fried Chicken, amazing flavor on the spices. My husband and I have ate here on a couple of occasions and look forward to many more visits. They have different levels of heat for their chicken. •You have the Country which has no heat, but a good honestyle batter. •Mild which has very minimal heat. •Medium heat starts to get a little burn (one of the heats we typically choose, not the most flavorful weirdly enough, but still really good), •Hot as they describe burn baby, burn (This is the other heat we typically get and the flavor is amazing with this one, you do get a burn, but the flavor is kickin') •Code breaker (their menu states) Do you really want to do this? Try at your own risk. I love some spicy food and some days I can handle spice better than others, but be acknowledgeable about how much you can take. I want to try code breaker, but their hot usually puts me down. So if you can't handle spice order accordingly! (For some clarification which may help to order, I have been known on some days to find a McDonald's Spicy Chicken sandwich too spicy, but then there are days when I can sit down eat fresh jalapeños straight and chicken with ghost pepper seasoning without an issue and not be satisfied because I'm looking for something spicier. An average spice day for me would be somewhere in between) The one and only complaint would have to be the price, my husband, myself and my inlaws each got a meal, 1 drink each and 2 banana puddings. With tip the total came to just over 90.00. I will say this, the taste and texture of the chicken is undoubtedly amazing and all the price point does is makes it so we may not eat here as often as we would like, but we will continue to frequent this establishment.

Had our first meal at BirdCode. Everything was delicious. I would rate this 4.5 stars if I could. I wish they had a Coke Refill soda machine and added a few more fries to my meal. But everything we ate was great and will definitely try again.

I put my order in 2 minutes before I got to the restaurant and by the time I got there my food was already ready and it was fresh and hot. The food was delicious, the batter on the chicken was so crunchy but still light enough to were I could taste the juicy ness of the chicken. I drove 45 minutes to try this place and it was worth the ride !!!

Better than Popeyes!! If you love Popeyes chicken sandwich then you will love this place more. Their chicken sandwich has a very thick chicken breast with coleslaw and yummy sauce. Everything has wonderful flavors and is cooked to perfection. Fries are seasoned well and the banana pudding is light and sweet which is a perfect dessert after a hearty chicken sandwich. This restaurant just might be the very best chicken in CT. Highly recommend and I’m definitely going to bring my family and friends here because I know they will love it too!

Very solid option when you're in the mood for chicken. The chicken itself is tender and tasty. I ordered the Country level of seasoning and while it's fairly plain, it's still perfectly good. The shake fries are very flavorful. The slaw and pickles are very good, but they don't have a sharp vinegar bite that some people love. The Mac and cheese is Boston Market caliber (if you know, you know). The pudding is also solid, but I wouldn't get it again at the price point. If you're looking for the biggest bang for your buck then get the sandwich, it's big and heavy. Couple that with a side of fries and you'll be stuffed.

W O A H ! This place kicks some serious butt. Ended up here by accident but couldn't be more happy about it. I went to a hot chicken place once in north Carolina so I was smart enough to start with medium (not so smart last time lol) and it packs a punch...I will come to try the codebreaker some day but only when I have nothing to do for the rest of the afternoon. Great service and local soda 🥤 I love everything about this place, if you're looking to open another one please do it in Danbury 🙏

As I posted yesterday, this is the best chicken spot in CT! And just talking chicken, not about how the place look or staff etc. I just went to get the "hot honey sando" and that thing was not only tasty but nicely proportioned and I enjoyed it all. And those shake fries....yeahhh buddy! Try it out people, it's worth it...in my opinion.

Great chicken. Love their slaw. Comeback sauce is great. Tried to buy some that I could use in my fridge but they don't sell giant bottles of the stuff. Would say medium is exactly that. It's still nice and spicy. If you get hotter than medium, you should be ready for it and can't complain if you can't eat it. Only issue is seating and parking are sometimes limited. Would like a little more menu variety but I understand that doing something great is more important than doing many things well when it comes to a restaurant. Great service here. Can be a little too busy occasionally but that's to be expected. Can't blame them for being popular.

Birdcode is a great little spot for a quick fix however the food was ok, not bad just ok. Felt like the Hot Honey Sando was overly dressed and the shake fries had too much seasoning. Wife's mild Chicken Sando was also overly seasoned and somewhat salty. This is coming from someone who heavily seasons and marinates their meats. By no means is this a negative review but In my experience our food was really greasy and heavily seasoned. Bun held no form and was smashed and soaked in either oil or sauce. Im glad I visited and the experience was decent but unfortunately I've had better cheaper chicken sandwiches. Cold beer and cider was a plus tho, if you can find a seat!

The sandwich was unbelievable. I got the medium spicy sandwich, Mac and cheese, and banana pudding. My boyfriend got the second hottest spice level and he said it wasn’t enjoyable towards the end- he’s Indian so he can eat spicy. I’d say if you enjoy spicy food but don’t want to burn, go for medium your first time. I loved the batter of the chicken- one of the best chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had!

While out on a road trip with friends, we decided to eat dinner here since they would be open until 9:00 PM. The staff were very friendly and helpful! Also, I rarely mention this but the music selection at this location was great. Ordered: -The Naughty Neighbor: A bed of fries topped with two tenders, cooked in 100% refined peanut oil, your choice of heat, vinegar slaw and comeback sauce. (Sub mac & cheese $1) -Banana Pudding: Layers of cool creamy custard, vanilla wafers, and sliced fresh bananas. Made fresh, from scratch, daily -Sweet Tea: Perfect sweetened black tea. Brewed fresh daily Heat Levels: -Country No heat. Plenty of flavors. Perfect for adults and kids, too. -Mild A touch of heat. All systems go. -Medium Starting to feel the burn. Proceed with caution. -Hot Caution! Burn, baby, burn. Hot to trot. -Code Breaker Caution! Do you really want to do this? Eat at your own risk. Each order was prepared quickly. Next time, I would just get the deep fried tenders and crinkle cut fries since I wasn’t a big fan of their vinegar slaw, pickles, or comeback sauce (too tangy for my tastes). I thought the Medium heat or spice level was on par with its label. I would be interested in trying the ‘Hot’ for more of an extra kick in the future. The sweet tea is made with a good amount of sugar and the black tea flavor itself, shines proudly. My friends loved the banana pudding. Overall, BIRDCODE Hot Chicken was enjoyable, laid back, and clean. I will be recommending this place to fried chicken lovers.

Great place and great service! We tried the mild medium and hot chicken. They weren't kidding when they said hot will burn you. We can handle very hot food, but this was a slow buildup of fire oil that coats your mouth. Good thing the server warned us to try medium first and get the hot tender on the side to try. We appreciate the honesty. Overall, the quality of the chicken was outstanding and exceeded our expectations.

Awesome little spot, if you are looking for a top quality chicken sandwich look no further. The chicken itself is prepared in a delicious crispy batter, yet juicy and mouthwatering in the middle. The toppings (pickles, veggies, and sauces) are all fresh and real. And the bun would be delicious enough to eat on its own, buttered to perfection. The 2 fry options were also great, both the regular fry and “shake” fry(generously seasoned and spiced) Highly recommended!

Ordered the 3 piece tenders. Medium flavor with a side order of fries and ranch sauce. The medium flavor was spicy. Could finish or not enjoy it. The flavor was very seasoned. The fries were not worth ordering as a side, unless your hungry. Fries were subpar imo. Chicken itself wa slightly over crispy. Overall this place reminds me of raising canes. They even give an orange sauce for dipping the tenders. The bread that came with the tenders is sad. Packets of organic ketchup were given. Its a plain slice of white bread from the grocery store, no butter. I was not impressed with the food here. Staff here is friendly. There is outdoor dining. My meal came out to $12.

Great food! Banana Pudding was delicious! I highly recommend this place. I had the Honey Chicken Sandwich and it was delicious as well whereas my bf had some other sandwich that was just as good! I’m sure all their food is good! Only con I’d have was not enough seats for people to eat so I recommend take out instead of dine in.

Chicken places can be hit or miss these days, but this place is a grand slam. The chicken is cooked to perfection. The balance of the seasoning give it just the right flavor and it doesn't matter if you have a sandwich or tenders, both are satisfying. The service was great. This is far and away the best chicken I've tasted in my life!! The flavors of the breading and spices mixed with the tenderness of the chicken and then dipping the tenders in the amazing comeback sauce.... mind blowingly good! Like seriously, a culinary experience that you have to try! And not only the chicken, it doesn't end there. The shake fries are amazing, the mac and cheese is pure heaven, the homemade chocolate chip cookies are perfect and the banana pudding is... well, I don't even have words for how good it is. It's definitely become my new addiction! Hot chicken is such a fresh concept and West Hartford the perfect place for it!

Finally, a place that doesn’t mess around with spice! I got the hot sando and it was awesome. Got a tender of the code breaker and it’s no joke. Definitely can feel the ghost and scorpion peppers in there. Guy behind the counter was super friendly and have great recommendations.

Maybe this is just personal, but I'm not a big fan of [really] fried chicken. Although, if you're a fan, you'll love the chicken there. Very heavy food, and you'll be feeling a bit sick if you're not used to eating that type of food. Their seasoning does get very hot, as advertised, so if you're not trying to burn yourself, go get the medium spice level. Workers were very nice though, no complaints in that aspect.

This place rocks! Amazing chicken sandwich with pickles and this vinegar slaw that is phenomenal. Helps to cut the heat if you order the hot. I'd say it was an 8 out of 10 from a hotness scale so not too bad. The fries are really good. I am never a fan of crinkle cut fries but these were super crispy. I'll definitely be back. Plus their app makes it super easy to order ahead!

Real ones know the integrity of the white bread at the bottom of the chicken box! It soaks up the essence, the grease, the goodness—real 👏🏽ones👏🏽know! Their Nashville Style Fried Chicken is one of the best in the state. Quality & Flavor is always great, prices are on the higher side for Fried chicken if you compare it to other fast food chains, but I beleive that their menu is unique and their flavors are above and beyond.

One of my favorite local places to go to in WeHa! I’m weak so I get the country all the time, even the mild is spicy for me. The Sando, Nuggets, fries, come back sauce are all some of my favorite things. Haven’t tried the wings yet, but that’s next on my list!

Good first impression! Ordered a Sando, medium heat with standard fixings. It was a good size piece of breast meat, nicely fried on a fresh bun. The slaw and sauce really pull the sandwich together. I will probably request an extra sauce on the side in the future. There seem to be some discrepancies between the web site and the actual offerings at the restaurant. Probably just a matter of updating as they get further along in the opening process. I like the simplicity of the menu. The benefit to simple is that it's easier to maintain good quality and so long as they keep the quality up, I can see myself coming back. I also appreciate that they offer Hosmer Mountain soda locally produced in eastern CT. It also appears that beer and wine offerings are available, including several brews on tap.

Amazing chicken, hand breaded and hand spiced. Their medium is hotter than a lot of places hot though, not that that's a bad thing. I am from MA and would drive back just for a sandwich. Also, for like the 8 or 9 bucks, it's on par with the price of a premium fast food meal but leagues ahead in terms of quality.

The takeout was a disaster. I read my card over the phone 3 times, and we still couldn't understand eachother, so we agreed to pay at the counter. At the counter, I learn the food wasnt even started. This place doesn't care about your time. Great chicken.

The codebreaker almost broke me. I always order the hottest and it is always a let down. The codebreaker was the hottest great tasting thing I ever tried. I would guess it has a decent amount ground dried ghost pepper in the seasoning. I honestly do not recommend the code breaker for an enjoyable meal unless you are looking for punishment. The hot level sandwich was the best chicken sandwich I ever had but would still be too hot for most people.

Birdcode is definitely one of the more popular chicken locations in the area since opening. The sandwiches are huge and pack alot of flavor. One sandwich alone will hold you over for a day. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the fries or Mac and cheese. My main issue is how my stomach feels afterwards. It must be the spices because I broke a Guinness world record for how long I sat on my toilet.

Went for the first time yesterday. Had the Hot Honey Sando with Code Breaker Sauce. The sandwich was very enjoyable. It took a bit of convincing to the cashier that I was good with ordering their hottest stuff right off the bat. The sauce had good heat but still enjoyable; maybe a bit of garlic or tang would have been nice on the back end, but that's a minor personal taste. We will be definitely going back again in the future.

Chicken tenders are the best we can find in the area. Hot, crunchy, quality white meat - cooked perfectly. The banana pudding is surprisingly good and a great way to end your hot and spicy meal. My only suggestion - more oprions for dipping sauce for those who like their chicken plain with sauce on the side.

If you are looking for a high quality Nashville hot chicken sandwich this is the place to come! Be warned, (and they warn) each level of heat is at least one step hotter for the average joe. I have never been disappointed by Birdcode, and my coworkers and I have been getting this every Friday, for lunch. The chicken has been cooked to moist and tender perfection, the Cole slaw (vinegar based) is an awesome compliment to the sandwich and pairs so well with the tangy, and spiced "comeback sauce". The Mac and cheese is incredibly rich and calms the heat of the sandos and shake seasoning with amazing ease. Overall, Birdcode is an awesome addition to the CT restaurant space.

Very tasty, very juicy fried chicken sandwich. Ordered it medium because you never know. On a Nashville hot chicken scale, the medium is NOT spicy. It's more like "Connecticut white guy spicy". Definitely would go again, but try the spicier options. Mac and cheese was good, but should have been warmer.

Incredible chicken sandwich. Shack fries have great seasoning and the comeback sauce is bangin. Don’t order the code breaker heat. I’ve eaten full ghost peppers and I couldn’t get through a couple bites at a time. You know the place is legit when the hottest level is legit.

This place looks like a top end fast food chicken restaurant that you would run into in the Midwest or southwest, not Nestled in West Hartford of all places in the state of Connecticut? I had the everything on it with coleslaw and an interesting dressing with a little kick to it and french fries...Staff was quick and friendly, prices reasonable. Everything was great, the fried chicken cutlet was a little bit greasy, but hey it is fried chicken... This isn't the kind of place you commit to counting calories and cholesterol... I will be back, unfortunately the place is CLOSED on Mondays, which is when I am usually in West Hartford... Highly recommend just don't make your lunch plans on a Monday🤗

Amazing food, but take the spice levels seriously. I've been a lover of incredibly spicy food my whole life, so I went straight for the codebreaker heat level. I thought people were kidding when they said food can be so spicy that you hallucinate. Nope, if you're not prepared you will be tripping balls on hot chicken. I had the loaded fries thing with the hottest chicken, which was delicious, but painful. I also had the hot honey sandwich at 'hot' and it was immaculate. Perfect spice to sweet ratio. 5/5 will be a repeat customer

This was my first time at Birdcode. They were really rushing and it wasn't even crowded. Luckily I realized that they forgot my Banana Pudding before I left but when I got home I realized they also forgot to put slaw on my Naughty Neighbor. The chicken tenders were delicious, tender and juicy. Mac n Cheese was not my favorite, comeback sauce was good but they only put a slight drizzle on it. I would go here again based on the chicken but I would check everything before leaving.

Pricey for what it is. Ordered the tender meal with an extra tender for a larger portion. $2.99 for a single extra tender is just wild to me but I was hungry so I went for it. The quality was good. I'm not knocking the service or food by any means. Keep up what you're doing but nearly $20 out the door for a single meal when it's really just chicken tenders, a single slice of bread, and a 16 oz soda (no refills) is just crazy...I'm sorry. If someone else is picking up the tab, I'll stop in! Lol.

This was really great chicken sandwich! They are not kidding on the heat level. Medium was amazing and I wouldn't want any more spicy. I did not expect that. Excellent restaurant built around outstanding fried chicken sandwiches. Bright, clean premises, and a friendly, super helpful staff. The standout aspect in my opinion is their use of high-quality Bell & Evans chicken. We're very careful about sourcing high-quality ingredients at home and, sadly, we recognize when we go out we're likely eating cheap, low-quality produce. I commend Birdcode for sourcing the good stuff,, which will ensure we return regularly. Also, beyond the tasty chicken, everything we had from the kale salad to the banana pudding was delicious and appeared to be home made. (The vinegar slaw was not to my liking.) Great spot and a welcome addition to the WeHa and Park Road restaurant scenes!

This sandwich is the best Nashville chicken sandwich I’ve had. It is juicy while having layers of amazing flavor and great crispy texture. The portion of the sandwich is big it’s priced reasonable. You feel like your eating something healthy compared to fast food where you feel gross after…way better than any fast food chain for sure. There dipping sauce for the fries is amazing and so are the French fries. It is spicy so if you don’t like spicy get the least spicy and you should be fine. It’s a gem.

The chicken sandwich here is excellent, easily better than all of the other chain competitors, who I admittedly also enjoy. I wasn’t able to eat the sandwich until one hour after purchasing because of the need to drive back to work, but even then after steaming in a box for one hour the patty was still somehow abundantly crispy. Perfect ammount of spiciness expertly balanced by the comeback sauce. And the freshest, highest quality chicken breast I can recall in recent memory. The buns were perfectly toasted on the inside only, to prevent sogginess, while being fresh and steamy on top. Costs more than the average chicken sandwich but the quality beyond justifies the expenditure. French fries were great too.

BEWARE THE HOT! I happily eat the "hot" level foods at other restaurants, don't find Tabasco or other typical hot sauces to be anything but flavor, and seek the heat whenever possible. The HOT level tenders damn near killed me. My wife loves the hot sauces and is close behind me in tolerance of spice, and the MEDIUM level was too much for her. Don't be overconfident, or that ghost pepper will punish you like it did me. I'm throwing down 4 stars because the staff was friendly and the place was clean, but I really don't know how the food was because I couldn't taste any of it... and 20 hours later, my guts are still grumbling. Also, don't expect cheap fast food pricing...

The Codebreaker sauce was actually some of the most spicy sauce that I have ever had in my life, I don't remember the last time I was unexpectedly swarmed with top notch heat all over my taste buds. I'm use to places saying try at your own risk but this was almost as hot as Chicken from out of state where you have to sign a waiver. I recommend milk and a steady pace if you are going for it. The only reason I'm giving this place a 4 stars is because I didn't get my fries and they still put pickles on my food. I can't stand pickles

I would eat BIRDCODE every day if I could. I always get the Naughty Neighbor with shake fries, and it is phenomenal. It wasn’t enough for me to enjoy it myself, though, I had to get my family addicted too, and they’re picky! Just a warning: hot means hot. Even if you have a good spice tolerance, proceed with caution! It’s so flavorful no matter how hot it is, though, and the slaw and pickles make it taste even more fantastic. This is my first time leaving a review, because it’s just that good. The only regret you’ll have after eating here is not doing so sooner!

My only complaint- I usually order the kale salad. It’s great, but 2 tenders aren’t enough for the price or size of it. I love spicy food I have several sauces in my house that are 7 pot pepper mash, Apollo pepper mash, scorpion pepper mash, reaper pepper mash which I mostly use to mix with other sauces to give them a kick. I can say the hot sauce here is actually hot. It seems to have a dry rub as well but whatever they are using it has a burn. Delicious, fresh, crispy chicken and when they have hot as an option they mean hot. I wouldn’t even want to try the codebreaker even though I typically order the hottest sauce on the menu where I go. Fries are nice and crispy too. This place is doing chicken, rubs, sauces, and fries right!

There is some kind of slaw that comes on it, say less it’s amazing, I got the tenders today on mild and I could only handle one ON MILD…They definitely made everything to perfection everyone over there is accommodating and wonderful. They got bread they got milk everything you need to calm your taste buds. 😂 literally took a bite and all I heard in the back of my head was “he need some milk” 😂🥴😂😂. The place is always clean the bathrooms are the best I’ve seen in a public place in a long time. They have an outdoor area to eat and that area is also very clean, there’s parking and they are easy to find. I always enjoy my time over there. I signed up for the rewards very easy to rack up points which leads to $$ off your next purchase. Three full meals usually cost about 40$ and it’s worth it I love this place and you will too!

The spice levels were great; probably a little spicier than your typical chicken place in CT, but they warn you about that on the website. Probably my favorite restaurant in the Hartford area. Not only is the food delicious, it is *always* delicious—I've never gotten a bad order, and I've gone quite a few times. The first time I ordered from here I got the sando with no heat and honestly it had no flavor. I decided to give them another try based on the reviews. This time I got the sando mild with a touch of heat with comeback sauce and no slaw and boy am I glad I did. It was seasoned well, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Watch out Hartford, there's a new chicken place in town! I was impressed with the quality and the quantity for the price. Be warned, the medium does have a kick, and the hot is as expected. It's true to form Nashville hot chicken, juicy, well seasoned, and with a batter and fry that is not greasy or overwhelming. Do yourself a favor and check this place out!!! Without a doubt THE best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! They just opened recently but we’ve already been several times. The restaurant is clean and well decorated, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they’ve got local beer on tap - along with a cooler of other options - and OMG The. Food. Is. Phenomenal. Chicken, fries, slaw, sauces... all of it!! Their Kansas style chicken is a nice change from the typical Buffalo flavoring and there’s a spice level for every taste! My husband and kids prefer the country and mild flavors, medium has just the right amount of burn and for those like me who love spicy food, hot is definitely the way to go! Still working my way up to the spiciest flavor.... I was planning to try it but once I heard it contains Trinidad Scorpion and Ghost Chili Peppers I chickened out. (No pun intended). I’m still torn between intrigued and slightly terrified! Haha Maybe next time....

Amazing! Best chicken I’ve ever had. I don’t know how they do it. The crispy breading, the never lacking flavor of spices, and the juicy tender chicken. They don’t skimp on the portions either. The best part is you can save it for the next, reheat in the oven, and it’s just as amazing as it is fresh. Sometimes reheating chicken will dry it out...not with Bird Code! Don’t forget to get the shake fries! Be cautious with spice level! I loveee spicy food and the medium level had me running for a box of tissues but it was so worth it. Also looooove the ranch sauce. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. The Sando is a MUST. The chicken is super moist and it comes with great pickles and the perfect vinegar slaw. I got medium heat and it was the perfect amount of heat but my Dad got the mild and loved it too. Lots of flavor. The shake fries were amazing and we loved the Mac and Cheese as well. Supposedly there's a chicken sandwich war between fast food joints not really sure how you call it a war when The war has already been won. I ordered the mild chicken sandwich with fries everything was amazing even the fries and I'm not really a fry guy but with that comeback sauce oof. I definitely will be back and I highly recommend this location. Best banana pudding I've had as well. My only regret is not buying this sooner. The staff were very nice as well. We have tried birdcode about 3x within 2 months. We've tried country all the way to hot and they are all so good and the hot has legit level of spiciness.... My spouse prefers to stay at mild level while my kids enjoy the country one. The breading is perfect and not greasy at all (except for the 3rd time we visited on feb 6th, somehow the chicken was greasier and a little saltier but i think it's just that 1 day batch, i hope, we'll certainly go back)...the sandwhich is HUGE and super juicy and tender , but it is still so good even after a couple of hours (1 sandwhich = 2 meals for me). French fries taste and smell reminds me of belgian pomme frites and their special sauce is so good (reminds me of thousand island asian style). The only thing is that i wish they have smaller sandwhich options. But regardless..THE BEST CHICKEN sandwhich ever!!!

Food: Good fried chicken/tenders and burger that we tried, with a varying level of spice (some are really hot) with spiced fries as well. They have Hosmer mountain soda and not the traditional sodas They maintained excellent mask and social distancing practice over the 4 times we visited the place. We never sat but waited more than once due to peak rush hour.

This chicken is really reallyyyy hot. “But Sara, it says hot” but like it’s alllll hot - even the country has spice so beware for little ones. I’m used to getting hot at Buffalo style places, always have, but it’s unbearable here. And not just spicy, they sprinkle it with dried seasoning that’s really salty. I was also disappointed that I ordered an extra tender with my meal and asked for it to be a different flavor and they were unwilling to do it. Ordered curbside and waited the requested time and eventually just had to walk in and get it which defeated the whole purpose. Forgot a few things in my order as well. Hopefully just some kinks they work out when they’ve been open longer. But for gosh sakes round down on your typical level of season when you order and don’t expect your kids to be able to eat it.

Birdcode has some of the tastiest pieces of chicken tenders I’ve had in Connecticut. It beats the typical KFC and Popeyes restaurants (if you want to call them that) by a long shot. From my experience, it’s best to send in a mobile order so you can pick up and go, or else you’ll be waiting about 10-15 mins for your order at the place. The Naughty Neighbor continues to be my favorite thing on the menu. The Sando is a hugely popular menu item and directly competes (and beats) the competing Chick-Fil-A and Popeyes chicken sandwiches. Hosmer Mountain Soda is a well-known soda bottler in CT. I’m ecstatic that Birdcode serves lots of flavors of this soda as opposed to the typical Coke/Pepsi products found in other places. The bill adds up fast at the register, so be prepared to spend around $25 for two people. Rest assured, every dollar is worth it once you get this blend of spices and ingredients on your taste palate.
