I've been going here since it opened, and it has never disappointed. Even after moving out of state for work, whenever I'm able to make it back to the Coast Brooklyn's is a must-have stop. The pizza is better flavor and ingredients, and doesn't make you feel heavy or like you ate a bunch of oily food like others. The atmosphere is classic, welcoming to all, and laid back where you can relax. The owner to every employee you'll come across is personable, professional, and knows what they are doing. Brooklyn's won't disappoint, whether its slammed busy or lighter foot traffic, its always a great experience.

If you haven't been to Brooklyn Pizzeria you don't know what you're missing. I've been eating here for years and I have no idea why you'd want to go anywhere else for pizza. People are always talking about how great the pizza is in New York, and they're right. Well, Brooklyn Pizzeria has the only pizza that will make you think you're in New York. Try it and you won't go anywhere else for pizza.

I love this place, best pizza around and it isn't even close. I've personally only had good expierences, but it is a small, local place and no one has a perfect day every day. In my opinion, for this type of pizza, simpler is better; go for one or two toppings max.

I usually get the sandwiches, which are good. But I have to say the pizza was amazing. We got the specialty pizza. It was loaded down with topping, definitely no way that shrinkflation is here. 1 piece of pizza was more than enough. Delicious.

Giant pizza for a very reasonable amount of money. 3 of us couldn't finish this pie. Garlic knots were floating in an ocean of butter with minced garlic (this is a good thing). Lots of families here, and lots of familiarity between the workers and customers. Great pizza, great environment.

The pizza is GREAT and HUGE for a VERY reasonable price!! You're gonna have to work to find it as there's no website, only a Facebook presence. I had to call a few times before I got an answer but definitely worth the effort. A lot of items on the menu, do yourself a favor and get the garlic knots with the pizza too! Finally!!! After being in MS for four months and having all kinds of pizza places recommended to me, only to be disappointed every time, I have finally found the one. No other place around here has satisfied my craving for greesy, cheesy, flat and foldable NY-style pizza. THIS is actually NY pizza on the coast. My only gripe is the mozzarella sticks. You all should be ashamed for serving those. They are the frozen joints that you didn't even fry, but baked! They were a soggy, uninspired mess. I couldn't even finish them. So I'm docking a star for that.

Spent 6 years in the northeast (NJ/NY) and this is the closest pizza you'll find to NY in the area. One of my favorite pizza places in the coast! They don't take too long to get the food out even though they're always busy. The staff is friendly and it's easy to get to. They do pizza by the slice which is pretty rare down here. Not too bad on price either, their larges are large!

I love this place. The pizza is delicious! The only thing I would change is they use a steel cutter on an aluminum pan and it cuts tiny slivers of aluminum in your pizza. I get it to go and they cut it in the box and it's perfect. It's my favorite spot. They serve beer and you can byob. Also they support conceal carry of firearms when everyone else started putting up no firearms signs they stood apart❤❤

Pizza was great. The owner recognized we had gotten there 30 min before opening and made our pizza first even though we were about 20th through the door. The best pizza place in south ms. This is not New York quality pizza. But the best I have had down here. Been coming here for 15 years. Perfect hole in the wall restaurant. Family owned and operated. Don’t be scared to ask for something if you need it. No servers. Also don’t just get pizza they have so many other items that are great.

We are from Louisiana and was looking for a good pizza place in Mississippi to eat. We saw this place had great reviews so we gave it a try. When you walk in you can watch them making the dough and throwing it in the air, my nephew loved that part. The two men making the pizzas were very nice and answered questions even though they were very busy. The pizza here is amazing and it is priced reasonably. If you are in the area give it a try you want regret it. They have a 20 inch pizza that is huge and can feed multiple people.

I've eaten here a few times now and I really like the place. They have a more traditional calzone which is really hard to find these days.. The have ice cold rolling rock in a bottle ,which is a treat in itself and they'll even substitute marinara sauce for butter garlic which is nice... I like it. It's a nice cozy restaurant... Nothing too fancy... Nice and relaxed environment. Good food. It's worth the drive. I'll be back again for sure.

Food is phenomenal, have ordered pizzas and other items for years, however had to wait extended amount of time recently only to find that our pizza had been ready for quite some time and part of our order had to be cooked again and may have been given to someone else? Interesting that customers are wearing masks but staff are not? Also noticed no gloves while handling food this time...touching the crust of pizzas and then touching clothing, boxes, counter tops ?

I would rate the pizza here 20 stars and above. This has been my favorite pizza for years! The customer service...well, I would rate it zero if I could....I always feel like a burden every time I walk into that place. If it wasn't for the pizza being so good I would never go in.

You want some top notch NEW YORK style pie(pizza) this is the place!!! Fresh ingredients, brick oven cooked pizzas(makes ALL the difference) friendly helpful staff. Try the garlic knots. The interior def needs a face lift but if it compromises the product- forget it just get it to go😉

My family I go here every now and then and we love their pizza. When we move to Washington state, I missed this place dearly and when my husband got orders back down here, it was one of the first places we went to for food. I feel as their pizza isn't as greasy as some places here in Mississippi. My girls love their cheese pizza to death. Plus you definitely get your money's worth with their huge pizzas. I plan to continue going until we end up having to move away because of orders.

Pizza was average comparable to other places, nothing to rave about really. Ordered 20" pepperoni, sauce was good, bread had a nice flavor, cheese and pepperoni was lacking. The garlic knots had no garlic flavor at all, it was mostly, if not all parmesan cheese. Reasonable prices though, we were very disappointed after reading the other 5 star reviews.

Been a customer for over 7 years. My family has been for even longer. My wife makes a to go order today. No distancing practices . Customers were all agitated. The customers are packed together. One minute everyone acts like its the end of the world because of a virus. Now no one cares at all. Only one employee wore a mask. The pizza is usually great.

Brooklyn's has been our go-to place for pizza for many years. The folks there have that great "Brooklyn attitude" as well! You nice?, hey, they'll be nicer... We always get the "all the way extra crispy". Its everything on a Brooklyn style pizza, left in the oven just a little bit longer. If you're not from here, I recommend a Barq's Rootbeer in the bottle (it has to be in the bottle!). Barq's started right here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. There's nothing bad on the menu at Brooklyn's Pizza. Stay a while and try it all!

Food is typically great! Called in order for pickup last night, young girl answered and apparently didn't agree with pineapple on my Hawaiian so it wasn't on there... after waiting 30 minutes for pizza and then driving 20 minutes home to be disappointed. While I was paying the manager, the young girl even griped about taking people's orders over the phone to the manager. I think I'll stick to popping in for a slice occasionally but if I ever pick up again then I'm definitely checking before I leave.

Thrown off by the Sorry we're open sign. But is absolutely the best pizza you can buy in the area im from Chicago and have yet to find somewhere with a real Italian 🍕 vibe and this was it. Real Italian Sausage and Real Pepperoni when the others are using pork beef and hormel. I highly suggest stopping in for a slice of pizza and rootbeer for lunch or dinner everyday 😁

My favorite pizza place, hands down. Chain pizzerias don't even come close to this pizza, and in fact seem nasty after you've had Brooklyn's. Large, thin-crusted, New York style pizza that will have you believing you got a slice of the big city. My family orders at the very least, once a week, if not more. Lived on the coast almost 20 years. Far and away best pizza down here. I’ve worked up in New York PA CT all over Easter seaboard and Brooklyn’s is just as good. Do yourself a favor and try this place.

If you like good pizza, pizza that is Jersey Girl approved, go here. Hands down the best pizza in the area. It passes the real test of good pizza, which is to order a single slice of cheese pizza. The sauce is right, the cheese is right, the crust is perfection. They also have the best cheesesteaks in the area, don't let the menu fool you, the "steak and cheese" is a traditional cheesesteak. My son likes his "all the way" known as a cheesesteak hoagie in places where you get them authentic. He even says theirs is better than our favorite place in NJ. We go so often that they already know his order as soon as he walks in the door. I like to keep them guessing and order different things every time. The pesto bites are great, and so is the eggplant parmesan. I'm making myself hungry just writing this review.

I love their salads and steak sub! They have root beer in the bottle and always provide fast, friendly service. I've been going here for years and the staff have been there the whole time so they know what they are doing. The pizza is not my favorite but I don't like that NY style pizza. However, my friends and family that do ABSOLUTELY recommend this place!

Easily the best New York style pizza I've had in the Southern United States. The staff is friendly and courteous. I don't know what some of these reviewers are talking about, the staff has always been welcoming to my family and friends on our many visits. Perhaps, these people don't understand that everyone working behind the counter is integral to keeping this busy place running smoothly. It's rare to see Brooklyn's Pizza as anything other than steady, but it's more often pretty busy. Take a hint! if the staff is rushed, it's because they're trying to get the best quality food out as quickly as possible. How about you have your order ready for when they get to you? Or why not have your cash or credit card handy before it's your turn to pick up your food, so you don't slow them down? Maybe realize that they're moving with a sense of urgency (I know, a rare display in the South!) and understand that the quicker and more concisely you place your order, the sooner they can get back to working hard to deliver the best pizza and calzones on the Coast?! My family and I love this place, as have every friend and family member we've introduced to Brooklyn's Pizza in Gulfport, Mississippi.

This is a pizza that is as good as many pizza joints in NYC. Huge 20 inch pies that do not grow soggy and have a really stand out red sauce. I dont get people adding the Catalina dressing on the pizza after they receive it. Ruins a top notch pie.

If no one has told you it's not really NY style pizza - it's actually a Jersey recipe. Having said that it still is great food and the best pizza on the MS Gulf Coast hands down. I have been eating at Brooklyn since 1998 and I still haven't found a better pizza around. They do have tasty oven baked sandwiches, better than the ones at Domino's, really good Italian dishes (i.e. Shells manicotti) and some other good sides like the garlic knots. A little pricey, but well worth the money. If you want a really good pizza just go there.

The most authentic NY style pizza you're going to find on the Gulf Coast. It's cheap and delicious. Plenty of OTHER great comfort food here, too. But the main draw is pizza by the slice. Bear in mind that this is VERY casual dining with minimal dining experience involved. If you're good with bare bones, this is the place for you.

Decent pizza, and we got it quickly. It may be because it is out dated, but it did not feel very clean. It isn't difficult to keep the register counter clean, and change out old nasty pens for guests to sign their ticket with.

The food was pretty good, but the atmosphere was heavily lacking. A cheap intercom system would help call out orders too 'cause you've gotta listen hard fror your name to be called. I got wings, garlic knots, a pizza, and two beers for under $30 so it's worth it anyway.

Pizza is great here.. order by the slice or a whole pie! Pizza is not the only thing on the menu that is great; their hoagie sandwiches are a favorite: spaghetti, chicken parmigiana. Be sure and add the garlic knots to your order. They are a local favorite.

Really great NY style pizza place here in town. I frequently order the calzone and am nothing but thrilled every time I bite into one. The restaurant itself has an old style theme to it and it is incredibly busy on the weekends. My only gripe for the business is that they have only one register (that is quite dated) and they ask pick-up orderees to stand in line with those who are making orders. This creates an unnecessarily long line for everyone involved. I waited 10 minutes in line for a simple 30 second payment transaction. The business owner would easily streamline customer payments both in-person and online if he/she looked into commercially available hardware such as Clover or Square. Otherwise the business itself is a fantastic evening location for a delicious pizza/calzone! Highly recommend.

I ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and chicken over the phone late evening yesterday @ around 7/8pm....the Guy on the phone was rude as hell...I was only trying to make sure I was ordering from the right pizziaria dude!!!......anyway....I made it to the store to pick up my order, and then the young lady at the register just ignores me for 5minutes and then proceeds to try and take the next costomers order behind me smh😐....to be fair the pizza was good as always...

Brooklyn Pizzeria is the best pizza I have ever eaten. Their pepperoni and all-the-way are awesome. Their steak and cheese sub is the best in the land. I also love their MacDaddy sandwixh. The bread is infused with tomatoes specially ordered from Chicago for them and it has Pesto sauce, grilled chicken breast and bacon plus a few other things. Really good. One of my favorite eatery's in town.

Being brought up in New Joisey and going into the City (NYC) riding the subway or being in Greenwich Village or going to the Statue of Liberty, never far from a pizza vendor. What's not to love!? Pizza by the slice, or a large pizza sooo large that some of the edges are a little bent to fit it in the box!!! :) Calzones are super cheesy too--although I think they're called stromboli's here? (Not a MS native so I might be off) But I definitely recommend this place if you love pizza that has just the right amount of cheese and sauce with real seasoning in it, along with the thin dough. :) It's as close to the real NY pizza as you're going to get down here in MS.

Good pizza that's different from the chain joints. They also do some salads, pasta, etc. It's a place to grab a slice or two and a soda and chow down. You order at the counter. They've been in business for many years and the ambiance is getting a bit tattered around the edges, so don't expect the Ritz.

I wouldn't say it's amazing or anything. The cheese and toppings were falling right off the actual pizza. So almost every bite I had was just bread with light sauce. Then I uses a fork to eat the cheese and toppings off the plate. I asked for mushrooms, yikes. They didn't even use fresh mushrooms. They used the nasty tasting ones out of the can, the ones in water. I don't think I would go back.

Don't know if Mark still owns the place, but I worked there as a delivery driver off and on in the 90's while in the Navy. I always liked the food, and the staff was friendly when I was there. Some people liked the pizza so much that they would meet us at the edge of our delivery area. One of these days I'm going to visit Gulfport again and I will definitely stop by to have a slice.

Ehhhh... It's Okay. Nothing to write home to Mom about. The place is called Brooklyn Pizza and they charge you as if you're in Brooklyn. So have your wallet ready. The pizza place in Edgewater Mall serves slices exactly the same size if not bigger for a lower price. So keep them in mind if you can.

I would highly recommend Brookly Pizzeria. I'm a sucker for a delicious slice of New York style pizza, and theirs fits the bill. The crust and sauce are spot-on. Their calzones are also very good-- they are large, filling, and a good value. The only down side is that they do not offer delivery and are closed on Sundays.
