Incredible experience and the food is to die for!!! The owner is kind, welcoming, communicative and funny! You feel like you’re talking to a long time friend. You really cannot beat the price, flavor or environment at this lowkey spot. I wish i could give it 10 stars because 5 doesn’t do it justice. They break the scale! Also- it’s a family owned business. Even MORE of a reason to show our love and support :)

I’ve been seeing birria tacos on social media and wanted to try them. Happened to be visiting Chicago this weekend and saw great reviews from this restaurant. Literally stopped by here after I landed and it did not disappoint. The gentleman who took our order, presumably the owner, was very friendly and just had a really good vibe overall. While visiting Chicago I went to pickup cheesecake and Googled "tacos near me" to try more local food. QuesaBirria came up 15 minutes away and I am SO happy they did. I don't know what I love most- the unpretentious decorations with the awesome tiger head, or welcoming people. Food is authentic, family-owned business, and locally owned. Give this place a try for sure!

Where have you been all my life? The reviews are not wrong. I visited QuesaBirria yesterday and it did not disappoint. I got the 4 pack, half chicken and half beef. The meat was tender, the consome is very flavorful and the whole dish is just delicious. They also sell various sodas and water. The restaurant has indoor seating, but not super spacious. There are 2 booths and 3 tables. They also have ceiling fans, but no AC. I'll definitely be going back!

Never judge the book by its cover. This place have a very warm family feel. The owner is very nice and welcoming. Love all the quotes displayed on the wall. Last but not the least… “D BEST QUESABIRRIA” 😋 We order a 12 pack, big mistake…. We should have ordered a 24 pack instead for 2 people 😬 it was that damn good!! Will definitely come back for more!!!

Awesome people and amazing food. Best quesabirra in the city by far. Once word really gets out, the lines will be around the block. Dude who runs the place and his team are nothing short of amazing. If you want a lesson in customer service & how to operate a business, especially a restaurant, take notes people. Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this small business. They specialize in quesabirria tacos and I’m happy to report I wasn’t disappoint. I came across the presence they’ve developed online and thought to myself that I HAVE to check it out since the pics and videos of the tacos looked mouth watering. The location is on Pershing rd and it was very unassuming. I would likely not inside it’s a hidden gem as there isn’t much signage or flair that sets the location off to the drive by traffic. When you walk inside you’ll notice all the positive quotes, quips, and affirmations. It was refreshing to see! I ordered a 4 pack of tacos to go and it took about 10 minutes to prepare. I noticed that the clerk, who was a very respectful man was locking the doors as they just sold out. It was 4:30pm n a Sunday and the google listing states they close at 6pm. So be sure you get there early enough to ensure you get your tacos to satisfy your hunger. The tacos was cheesy and the meat was well-seasoned. The tortillas had just the right amount of crunch. I enjoyed both of the provided the salsa on my tacos and the consommé had just the right amount of spices and flavor. I think you’ll be well served to check this place out. The tacos were amazing and this place was well worth the visit. QUICK TIP - the gentleman working there mentioned they will be moving their location to Pilsen soon.

Delicious birria tacos!! We ordered some for our friends and they loved it. The tacos are fairly large and most of us were very full after eating 2 or 3. They are moving to Pilsen soon (December 2022) so be on the lookout for their new location

Holy cow!!! So good! Just left the place and had to leave a review. We just got off a 14hr flight from Europe and came straight here because of the high reviews. And let me tell you this place was great! Generous sized birria tacos! We had beef, chicken and shrimp and all were delicious. An added plus was the 80's and 90's pop/house music! Great place!!

Food is AMAZING! My husband is Mexican and when he tried the consume...*Chefs kiss* Then I tried it, SO GOOD! Owner was really nice and made sure we had everything we needed. My only complaint is the amount of sitting space inside (there are 4/5 tables) , which I know there can't be much done for that. We drove from the suburbs and had gone to the shedd aquarium and wanted food afterwards and we had our 10 month old son. All the tables were being used once we got inside and would have been a little bummed if we had to take our food to go considering we live so far and the type of food it is (hard to eat in a moving car) but a lovely woman who was by herself allowed us to sit at her table as she was almost done. But based on service and food 5 stars all the way!

Best Birria tacos I’ve ever had!! We actually got the last 12 pack today: 6 beef, 6 chicken. I have NEVER had better ones than these. The owner was incredibly nice too. Cute little place and food was every bit worth the hour+ drive we made to get there.

QuesaBirria Jalisco Tacos New place just opened up. Twice we came here and they were sold out. Good sign in my opinion. If there is a crowd at any restaurant you know it’s good. Well we finally placed an order ahead of time and we got our tacos. They were worth the wait, it’s not all perfect. I think the consume could be a bit spicier. But it has a great taste. The tacos were overflowing with queso and meat. I love the crunchiness the tortilla then you dip it in the consume and it drips off your taco. That first bite is so satisfying. Perfect comfort food in this cold weather. We stuck to the birria ones, we didn’t have the chicken yet. We had our first tacos like these in LA, they took the consume and placed it in a Tapatio ramen bowl. You don’t forget you first. Every place does it differently. Biggest positive is that these are so close to the house that we will become regulars. Highly recommended. Take the number and place your orders early. Can’t wait to try the chicken next.

Arguably the best quesabirria in all of Chicago. Located in the McKinley Park neighborhood, this small quaint shop makes fresh quesabirrias to order. Although it took nearly 45 min to get my order it was well worth it. The qbs was very crunchy and the stewed beef and chicken was on point. The consummé was salty, savory and perfect for dunking the qbs. Also the owner and staff was very friendly! Definitely going back there again!

I was driving by and had to try this unique taco; it is good as people say, crunchy outside, cheesy inside with plenty of meat. I tried the beef quesabirria which was full of flavor and not overly spicy. The consomme you dip it in adds an extra level of tastiness. Definitely worth a stop.

Hidden gem near White Sox Stadium. We ordered a 12 pack of QuesaBirria and they are hands down the best birria tacos I’ve had in Chicago. The double tortilla keeps them crunchy. The guy at the front was attentive. Be prepared to answer some trivia for a discount. Pro Tip: They sell out so show up early!

Soooo…. Someone told me about this joint. All they said was you got to try it! They were right. The tacos are some of the tastiest I’ve EVER had. When I looked it up someone said it was a food truck. That may or not be true. Buddy brought orders out from a gangway. Maybe the truck was behind the building. Very possible because I was on the sidewalk waiting and smelling deliciousness. The only critique I have is I didn’t get ANY napkins… I enjoyed dipping the tacos, but it doesn’t enhance the flavors. I had the beef, chipotle beef which is the beef with this sweet delicious chipotle sauce you put on yourself & the chicken. The chipotle sauce went well with the chicken also. The most amazing thing is that I had to travel about 15-20 mins to my destination, and they were STILL delicious. Some food you have to eat immediately because it doesn’t travel well. Next time I order I’m eating one right away on the street just to see if it gets any better.

Ummm where do I begin? I went to two other places to get birria and these were by far the best I’ve had in Chicago. Super meaty, cheesy, and flavorful. The consommé was very flavorful, unlike most places that have bland broth. Customer service was excellent. Can’t wait to go back!

I had the quesabirrias back in September and still hadn’t made my review. I ordered beef and chicken for myself and my kids. These were sooooo good. I loved more that they were still crunchy when I made it home. And they provided a sauce that was so so good! I haven’t ordered again but def will buy again.

The quesabirrias here are solid and I highly recommend for you to stop by! The quesabirrias were loaded with birria and cheese, had a great crunch that contrasted the softer cheese, and paired well with the sauces provided. The owner was present when I visited, greeted me with positive energy, and was able to get my food to me within ten minutes of ordering. I definitely will be stopping here again!

Omuhgoda!!!!! TikTok this is where it began.......it works!! This is the best, hands down. It's worth the wait, it's worth my drive which we drove 1hr and 40 minutes. These other places I've been to which make it all pretty in their restaurants but their queso birria tacos are mediocre. But here.... You have me basically closing my eyes, smh, and dancing in my chair right now with all the goodness!!! This place opened at 230 today and i walked in at 232 and he was super busy with orders and yet greeted me with a smile and very friendly. You Mr. Orozco will have my business. Tacos, one of the great Mexican foods can be sold here. To my surprise, people are lining up in this food truck. So, I decided to buy too. When I tasted it, it’s very delicious and I honestly crave for more. The service is very nice and professional. The prices are affordable too. The taco is very crunchy, cheesy and crispy. It’s literally in the most low-key neighbourhood and we were skeptical about it at first. There was a man sitting outside the area taking orders for delivery and that’s it. We ordered a 4 sets of beef tacos and it was amazing. The flavour was immaculate, it’s not so spicy (it’s just right, and I am a spicy food lover). It’s safe to say 4 was not enough for the two of us. We ended up buying 4 more but it was steak tacos. Still amazing. I would come back here and have it again many more times in the future. The consommé is to die for btw don’t forget to get it.

Just left from there l told my guy Ventura that this food was so good I had to leave a review so here I am I have been on the search for Birria tacos and I have a couple but this was the best one hands down the whole staff was super nice and fast u feel so comfortable in their establishment let’s get into the food though for 16$ 4 tacos had me super full I even have one left there huge the flavor the cheese everything was on point they even sold out once I got there so I’m glad I got to try it, that should pretty much tell you how good the food was I never seen someone sell out of food mid day you have to try if you are in the area. Most amazing tacos I've ever had. We had the beef tacos- the orange sauce on the side was magic! and the gravy to dip the tacos in made the meal so flavorful. The shells had cheese on it which made it ooey goodness! Would definitely come back next time I'm in town as one of my must hits!

Awesome Tacos place. We went with a group of friends and were lucky to have a big enough table for all of us girls. We tasted the 3 tacos on the menu and hands down the shrimp one was the most fabulous. (even though they were all very tasty) The portion are huge and the cheese quantity isn't shy. Generous meal and very nice workers there. And an extra star for the choice of music. Unexcepted but we loved it! NB: no vegetarian option on the weekend, only during the week.

Finally had some good Birria. I tried 3 other places before this that claim to have Birria tacos and this was by far the best one, it wasn't even close by comparison. The food came out really fast. The tacos were made to perfection and had such good flavor and the consume was very good. I don't think I could have asked for much more. The owner was really cool, and I'll definitely be coming back for more.

Me and my friend went here after attending a concert at a local bar. We dined at a pop up location in Mount Greenwood and had a wonderful time. There was some initial difficulty in finding the location. With the assistance of some locals we eventually found it in the backyard of an Irish pub. This is honestly one of the best meals I've ever eaten. Their tacos consist of a generous portion of meat and cheese in between a quesdilla. This recipe would be delectable in its own right but the consume and sauce adds a whole new depth of flavor. In addition to the great food you will find the owner Ventura to be an absolute delight. If you are in the Chicago area the drive is well worth the it for these amazing tacos.

This place left me speechless! It was so good, I came three times during my 5 day trip to Chicago. The owner was super friendly, and i've never tasted a taco so good in my life. The tacos had the right amount of crisp and juiciness, and it paired perfectly with the consommé provided. We ordered some quesabiria tacos to go today and they were amazing. Hands down best quesabiria tacos I have ever had in Chicago so far! I know these are currently trending everywhere so if you want to taste the real deal I totally recommend that you give them a visit soon. Make sure that you place you order an hour to two ahead of time because the news is getting out about how good they are and they are busy. When picking up just know that they have not updated their signs so when you get there you'll think you are at the wrong address but you are at the right place it's not middle eastern food anymore. They're are fairly new so I am sure they will be updating their signs soon. The owner was really nice and welcoming and everything was clean and everyone had on their mask. Also the price was reasonable and worth it for the portions. Get ready to break your diet and enter a full on food coma after this meal.

Although this was my first time physically visiting this establishment I've had their food many times and it's always a hit!!! The 2 gentleman behind the counter (the guy taking the orders and the cook) were very nice and friendly!!! They guy taking the orders was patiently explaining things to a customer! Omg. I never had a taco called a quesobirria, but I am sure that I had the finest example. This literal “hole in the wall” joint served up the best birria taco I’ve had. They serve it up with a broth or menudo, fresh cilantro, onion. They have a creamy red sauce to use that was absolutely delicious. It was so satisfying with a Horchata. Don’t expect much in terms of bells and whistles. This is basically a food truck in a storefront. But the owner just got into this space and looking to grow. He deserves it.

When a friend of mine posted about them on Facebook, that’s when I decided to give them a try. This place is by far the best quesabirria place hands down! I was told my pick up was at 2:40 after being patient at 3 finally my 3 pack was ready, if I would put a negative comment because of a longer wait that would be a sin to do, the fact that quality and taste over rules everything else so don’t rush them or expect them to make it the way you want, let them make them the way they have been doing the Birria tacos, the majority is 5 star reviews are spot on and I see 2 reviews that are not 5 stars and I see one review that’s 2 stars but that person just gives everyone bad reviews, if I give them 7 stars they will get 7 stars just for the Quesabirria tacos because that’s what we are here to review the product they cook, the rest is not valid to even bring up, keep doing what your doing the majority of 5 stars are legitimate reviews, hands down the best tacos in Chicago period!

I drove quite the distance but didn't care because my goal for the day was Birria tacos. OMG...what a great place and great food. They were packed because of the UEFA soccer title match, so when the owner greeted us to take our order, he asked if we wanted to wait in the restaurant or if we wanted to wait in the car and he will call us when the food is ready. We waited inside, which turned out great because my 12 year old daughter wants to be a chef and was very excited when the owner offered her an opportunity to see the kitchen and speak to the chef. It was the highlight of her day until she tasted the quesabirria tacos and then that made her day! Great food, friendly owner, definitely going back again soon!😋

Ok guys, the address listed is by the tire shop, but they are actually closer to 26th and Sawyer. They will walk to either corner to deliver your food. You call in, get a pick up time (usually 2 hours in advance), pay electronically, then pick up. When I pulled up, I thought it was a sham. They are operating out of the convenience store on the corner of 26th & Sawyer, in the back. It’s not an actual restaurant, but boy are these the best Birria tacos/quesadillas I’ve had yet.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. I was already a huge fan of their mouthwatering quesabirria tacos but let me tell you about the wonderful experience I had today. Recently I switched to a ketogenic diet. Fortunately I have found a replacement tortilla that fits within my dietary restrictions. My sister-in-law knew I have been craving the tacos from here and called the restaurant to see if they would make the tacos with my tortillas, if I brought them. Ventura said yes, they would definitely do it for me. I was over there first thing today, driving out from Itasca. What phenomenal service!!! I handed over my tortillas and the chef did his magic. They were amazing!! Of course I ordered plenty so I can continue to enjoy their deliciousness for a couple of days. (A few minutes in the air fryer and they taste like they were just freshly made) I am a customer for life. Fantastic food and fantastic customer service. Thank you so much! I will be back soon!

UPDATE: trying to decide how many to get? Double it!! They taste amazing heated up in the oven the next day when you are craving them again!! I come here just about every Saturday. The food is amazing, the horchata is on point, and the owner is a great guy. I used to drive over an hour if I had to - to wherever the food truck was at the time - but now his place is only 20 minutes away! Today I picked up 15 beef and 15 chicken for a group of my students, and they loved them!

I got 4 quesabirrias and two tiny things of salsa. The salsa was not good. One was okay and the other was like a Chipotle sweet mayo. A good salsa de cacahuate, or a tomatillo and chile de arbol would be perfect. It didn't really slap, like it should have. The place has a laid back aesthetic. I have been a tiktok follower for a long time! I always wanted to try this place, but never thought I'd travel to Chicago since I'm from Houston, TX. By the grace of God my sister graduated Navy bootcamp so there we went immediately after to eat the best quesabirria tacos we've ever had! Hands down better than any place we've tried in Houston. Even better than when I make them myself! 🤣 We ended up ordering a 40pk. The wait wasn't long at all. Customer service was excellent! Our entire party of 9 enjoyed every last taco! We wanted to play the trivia game, but they weren't open when we went back the next day ready with our password 😃. We understand things happen, so it's ok. We were just glad we got to try the delicious food, and enjoy some family time with our sailor there. Also, after reading some of these reviews we would gladly return if ever we find ourselves in the area again. We respect the honest & straight forward responses from the owner. 👍👍

The Quesabirria at this place is hands down the best I’ve ever had. They take their time to make them with love and you can tell with every bite. The quesabirria’s are crispy and packed with flavor. Then you dip them in the consume, pfft forget about it! I have yet to try the steak, chicken and Al pastor but based on first experience there I doubt I’ll be disappointed. QuesaBirria Jalisco Tacos is definitely worth stopping in. Lastly the owner seems to be a music buff. He gave customers a password and a chance to play a trivia game on their next visit. If you give him the password he’ll in turn give you the name of a song. If you guess the year it came out, you win a free meal. It’s a unique and fun touch that I plan to take advantage of on my next visit.

Went there today (6/5) on a recommendation from a co-worker. I checked them out on FB and figured they would be busy. I got there just as they were opening. The wait was about 20-25 minutes. I was pleased. The shells remained crispy during the ride home and the meat was so flavorful. The sauces are 😋😋😋. My Mother even liked the tacos and she can be a picky eater. I hope they get a restaurant permanently on the South Side of Chicago. I'm recommending them to my brother and hopefully can get my sister there when she comes into town. P.S. if you're not a big cheese eater ask for light/no cheese. I'm confident it will still be good!

OK guys, you can thank me later for this review. Considering the fact that we are foodies let me share that these mouth watering queso birria tacos are not only DELICIOSOS but absolutely delightful. They werent cheap with the birria or cheese for that matter as each crunchy bite was oozing with taste and juice flowing. We savored them with every dip in the consome for we were only able to score a couple because they sell out pretty steadily. I should also mention that the owner is super cool and quite personable which made our drive and experience that much more worth it even though they only had enough for a couple! Amazing! We got the birria and al pastor, 8 pack. My first time having tacos like this and it did not disappoint. During Covid, restaurants have been hit hard and consistency changes all the time. You will only be disappointed if you dont plan ahead. Call or order ahead if you are getting 12 or more. Definitely suggest going earlier since they sell out! We tried getting here friday night and called around 7 pm, they were already sold out. We tried again on Saturday and they sold out by 6 pm.

Wish I didn't have to leave a bad review because I really would have loved to taste the birreria tacos that everyone's been raving about. However, I placed an order for pickup at 5:30pm today and was instructed to call 10 minutes prior to my arrival. I did so and was told that everything would be ready for me. My husband goes in to pickup the order and was told he would be 3rd in line. Okay, no problem but an half hour later my husband was still waiting for the order. I decided to go in to see what was taking so long and the guy mentioned that we were next but decided he would prepare another order before ours because it was a large order. I informed thar the guy that we called in our order. He blew me off stating that the other people did too and he has to go in order which was bs. I asked him why he lied and said the order would be ready when I got there. He had no answer, so we left. Poor customer service. I expected more from the raving reviews but I guess I'll be ordering from elsewhere next time. UPDATE to review: My husband decided to give this place another try. I'm glad that he did! The wait was a few minutes which felt like a lifetime for our son but the owner was very considerate and made up for it with the delicious birria tacos. They were so delicious 🤤. I'm very pleased with the owners response and would definitely patronage this business again.

I was very confused about the location but I found it. They have the location at Harwood Heights inside Noor Kabab. I ordered here on a Sunday afternoon so it was very busy for them. Waited about 3 hours for my order but it was definitely worth the wait! We got the 8 pack tacos with consome. They were big and full of cheese! Where to begin... So I wanted so badly to try these quesabirria tacos. I googled a place and found QuesaBirria Jalisco. I had some challenges that made it difficult for me to get to my order in time. The owner was so great! He called me to check in with me about my order because of the time it was taking. At his preference and advisement, the owner made me a new quesabirria order and called ME when MY order was ready. Even though it was my fault the food got cold, he refused to serve me cold food. That’s such great customer service! The owner is hands on concerning his product. And he’s also cool people (got the chance to meet him when he brought me my order). I tore those tacos UP!!! (before I could take a picture) but they were absolute cheesy goodness! The broth was something delicious—let me tell you?! And that crunch! Yum! Get you some. It doesn’t disappoint.

Make sure you go to the right location. They moved and are located in 7200 W Addison St. Very delicious Quesa Tacos. They were cheesy, meaty, with the right amount of crunch. Last week we drove nearly an hour to get quesa tacos but unfortunately they were having problems with the gas but the owner was very apologetic and told us to come back and they’d make it up for us. Writing this review to say they kept their promise and worth the drive 10/10 for customer service and 10/10 on the food. 🙂

I’m pretty annoyed with the service here! They will give your order to other people. That’s how I see if if you’ve already placed an order. The first time we went the guy was awesome. We given referrals to people to try them out. My friend only eats chicken and not beef. Every time she places an order, when she gets up there they tell her sorry we sold out. Not a phone call, knowing a customer could be coming out the way! My friend asked me to call for her yesterday, and I made the order at 9am and a women answered. She said your order will be ready for 2:15. I said is there anyway for it to be sooner then 2, she said no it’s impossible because we open at 2. Her words exactly “don’t worry, your our first order for today so we’ll make your first!” My friend gets there and they tell her the same thing they always say “sorry we sold out of chicken, OHARE BOUGHT US OUT”! Tf if I ordered mine first then OHARE is suppose to get 8 less chicken. That’s just terrible customer service. They’ve done this so many times already, and we come from 25 min away!!! I love there food so I would have given it more stars. But I’m trying to figure out if I want to give them my money anymore. And at this point I’m not going to refer anyone I know, because there shii might not be there when they arrive!!!!!

QuesaBirria Jalisco isn’t just a taco truck, it’s an experience! My friends and I were lucky to order the last batch of tacos this afternoon before they SOLD OUT for lunch and had to prep to reopen for dinner. It’s located in the parking lot of the Pennzoil up in Norridge/Harwood Heights, IL area and looks to be a commodity with how many cars wait for their order in the parking lot. The Birria tacos are huge, the meat is packin’, the cheese is thick and stretchy, and the consommé has a more rich and flavorful texture than the other thicker consommé broth that I have had. If you come at the right time, you might just get lucky, too. 🎶 Ventura is the man - energetic and engaging to his craft and the brand!

The Birria (beef) is the most juiciest and most tender birria ive tasted in my whole life.
