Server was rude at 1st but by the time our meal came he started to come around. Love the way that other servers will check on you and ask how the food is. All the food was great!! From the soup and salad to the meal, everything was perfect. Pretty pricey, but we went home with leftovers that we fried up and enjoyed the next night for dinner so it was well worth it. Hubby ordered surf n turf which he loved. I do not like lobster AT ALL but whatever they did to it was amazing and tasty.

Sushi rolls were pretty good, but long waiting at host desk. For travelers, wifi is really important for checking everything while dining. It will be helpful if the restaurant can provide the password to us.

I love the sushi in Wasabi, but the Hibachi grill is other level experience!! Try the fried rice and your choice of meat, plus grilled vegetables!! So delicious!! They're busy always, you better make a reservation!!

I had the hibachi filet mignon with mahi mahi and my husband had the filet mignon with scallops everything was delicious and reasonably priced are chef five stars he was great he is a little heavy-handed on the sake so if you do catch the flying broccoli just be prepared

Family of 6 at a grill for the 1st time!! We love Asian food. Came highly recommended. Left very disappointed!! The experience at the grill awesome 👍. However, the shrimp was very overcooked. Rubbered! The steak was very tough. The Seaweed Avocado sushi was awesome!! Not sure I could recommend it!!!

Easily the best Asian food in town! Absolutely loved the Sushi here, as well as the rest of the table menu. Haven't tried the Hibachi grill yet, but heard others raving so I can't wait to try it out! There is nothing else in Cheyenne that even comes close to this for quality Asian food, or quality of Seafood for that matter. If you haven't tried it you won't be disappointed! Definitely go soon!! Also, the service was fantastic. Ignore reviews slamming the service or the quality here, thise patrons must have been having a bad day personally. This place is tops, you won't find better food or service in Cheyenne!

We visit every time we fly in to Denver and drive to Wyoming. They have the absolute best tasting food! So much flavor and you just know they care about the quality of the food they serve. Great atmosphere also! You will not be disappointed.

Pro : Last week we had a party of 7, 4 adults, 2 kids, and one baby. We were there for dinner, and while the wait took longer than they originally estimated, they were able to get us a large table and they were super kind! They didn’t seem bothered by the kids being crazy during the 45 minute wait, and they didn’t seem bothered about the baby crying and getting agitated during the evening. The food was amazing, we’ve definitely had amazing sushi throughout our lives, but they have a pretty great and fresh selection. The nigiri tuna is very yummy, although their wasabi doesn’t kick you in the nostrils. Con : Even though the server was dealing with the sit down side of the room by himself, his service was amazing and he had a lot of knowledge about the menu and he was able to answer all of the questions I had. My only issue throughout the entire evening was the gentleman who brought out our food (not a server) who just dumped my plate of sushi in the middle of the table, and when I had my hands full with the baby, asking him if he could place it closer to me he completely ignored me. He also gave most people the wrong items, like flipped them around on accident, but I think that is only because he didn’t take our orders, he was just delivering it to us.

I ordered the sushi sashimi deluxe with doordash. They missed the sushi, I called the restaurant and told them I wanted to come pick it up (because I was looking forward to that sushi). The cashier I called okay'd it. When I got there they gave me the sushi and very politely told me I was supposed to go through doordash for the issue. Extremely professional and amazing food food.

We enjoy wasabi for the most part but the hibachi chefs are inconsistent in the quality and taste of their hibachi. Some season and cook wonderfully, and others are very green and don’t properly season what they’re cooking. Overall it’s yummy, we enjoy their sushi and large food selection but some of the hibachi chefs need more training.

Excellent Japanese table and grill restaurant with nice ambience and pleasant decor. Hard to find as it’s on the inside of what looks like an office building, on the second floor. Worth the confusion as the food and service was great. The kids’ steak plate went over well. They kindly added a side of cucumber slices for the picky child who didn’t like the grilled veggies. She wolfed the steak though. It came with a bowl of fried rice. Not sure what the included white sauce was for. Didn’t seem to have a specific target. Our sushi was well prepared and tasty. We also tried the Angus sushi. Had it in other places but I don’t think this was as successful. The rest was fabulous.

My husband had the hibachi and loved it. I had sushi, and it was good, too. Took us an hour to get food! Spent 30 min seated and waiting on chef after we placed our order. Had to flag the server several times to refill drinks. Much larger hibachi area than you'd expect. Clean abd well ventilated.

Sometimes it can be really busy. Like most hibachi restaurants, the food can be pricey. Above all though is that you have to cut your own meat up when you get take out. Plus, it isn't exactly high quality meat considering how much you are paying.

Had a wonderful meal there last night with 6 of our friends. Ate TONS of sushi, as well as noodles and fried rice. Everything we had was simply wonderful, and our server was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great food and priced right -- the sushi was really good, the fried chicken is decent, and the tempura ice cream was great. The standard sushi items are under $6-$7, which is less costly that other Japanese restaurants that I've visited. Hopefully they'll serve ramen on weekends. Their website is not that clear -- update is needed.

Wasabi has a seated table side of the house and a Hibachi side of the house. We ate on the Hibachi side of the house. The food was good. The chef needs a little more practice, but still put on a good show.

Wasabi is one of my favorite sushi places in Cheyenne, Wyoming. But the service has always varied in star rating. Lately our server has been real good, she serves the bar area. The food doesn't taste like store bought. They have options, and real good food.

The sushi here has always been good, my kiddos really enjoy. You get the option to watch your food being cooked or not. It us more enjoyable to go with a group. The chef does little tricks and entertains the table with food watching and shots of sake. The experience is worth the visit. The only complaint I have is that it took about 15min to get our drinks and get an app order in, other than that once everything started to get moving the flow was just fine.

Fun for all ages!! First time was great the chef was personable and fun, the second time not so much, he was Hispanic (not that it mattered but so you know if you get him) and he didn't do any tricks besides the volcano, he also wasted more rice and veggies than he handed out, he didn't seem like he wanted to be there or cooking for that matter so he rushed the entire experience and the food was ok, steak over cooked and again everyone got different portions of rice and veggies because he wasted most of it. I wish we had the same guy we had the first time he was fun and gave us all proper portions. We will be back again but will ask for the chef we had a good time with. Sushi is good but a bit over priced, maybe because we no longer live on the coast I notice the difference in price but it is what more here than it is in California. Salad with ginger dressing is amazing!! The clear soup tastes like dish soup..go for the miso!! The pics im posting are from the first time that we really enjoyed the food Also they give military discount so don't forget to show them your id!!

I just had the most amazing service from Wasabi they definitely went above and beyond. I ordered using doordash for the delivery. My delivery never made it to my door. I reported it to doordash which they made it right by redelivery. The food was warm, fresh, and delicious! To my suprise Wasabi also threw in a complimentary cheesecake because of the mistake with doordash. I don't blame the restaurant for the mistake since this is the first time and can totally see how this was an accident. Wasabi cares about their customers either through dine in or delivery!! I will continue to recommend Wasabi!

Many Options, Great Service Our waitress, Jessica, was outstanding and she knew many options that would work for my Gluten Free diet. Delicious sushi, GF soy sauce if asked, and a piece of GF chocolate cake. Not to mention a great selection of wines, beers, sakes, cocktails.

Since moving we've been here twice, the ginger salad dressing is one of the best I've had and the steak is always perfection, the inside is so elegantly decorated my son loved the waterfall wall and fish tanks oh and of course the chefs tricks. I ordered chicken yaki udon to go. The portion size is not generous, but it includes a miso soup so the price is not bad. The udon smelled very good. However, the sauce is way too sweet and too salty for my taste I couldn't eat it. Next day I added more noodles to the dish and heated everything up and was then perfect. As a side note, the bathroom floor was very sticky. I was there at around 6:30pm so the bathroom hadn't seen heavy use yet from the dinner crowd.

My wife and I were new in town, and wanted to celebrate an occasion with sushi. We each ordered combo plates. The sushi was just okay. The spicy tuna roll was not spicy at all. It was actually flavorless. The poor service is the main reason for the lower rating. Our waitstaff were sullen, impatient, and uncommunicative. There are better options for sushi in Cheyenne.

We love going here for lunch, the employees are great. The atmosphere is great. I don't want to write a review for this place because I'm afraid people will see it and decide to visit. I say this because I want to be selfish and keep it to myself. I don't like sushi but Wasabi has changed my feelings. The sushi is my favorite to order, I highly recommend the Fried Philly, and Kentucky roll. If you're not big on trying something new then go with something like the chicken and/or shrimp rice (they also have beef and rice). I like their fried rice, it's got the right amount of everything in it.

We used to love this place, always got excellent service and became on a first name basis with one of the sushi chefs. Since he left I don't feel like the service is as good and neither are the rolls. Not as much fish and not consistent in what you get. We had to ask for wasabi, ginger, chopsticks, and small bowls for soy sauce.

The salad dressing can be used for everything. It's a great sesame flavor that isn't overpowering. My hubby filet mignon was good. Unfortunately everything else was extremely overcooked including the egg rolls. Add some salad dressing you can find it more tasty.

I had heard it was a good place.. great steaks. Took my brother in law and his wife to dinner. We had the teriyaki filet mignon... was so disappointed. Medium and medium rare. No flavor. Was a little tough, you could still cut it with your fork if you worked at it.

We are regulars at Wasabi and always enjoy our visits. The restaurant is lovely and the food is always on point no matter whether you order sushi or hibachi. The only downside is the wait to get in. Some nights you might have to wait for a while before they are able to seat you. Also, the last time we visited, for my birthday, I ordered a drink a few times, and it never arrived. It was definitely on the bill, though.

My goodness, this is really a perfect restaurant. The interior decoration is very stylish, with lifelike bamboos. What’s more, the service here is very good. Everyone is very enthusiastic, especially those Asian waiters who celebrated my daughter’s birthday and gave us a delicious cheesecake. , My baby girl is very happy, they sing a happy birthday song to her, and the food is very delicious. I saw someone wrote a bad review. A restaurant, where the business is very busy, will wait in line. I hope those friends who are hungry for good food can wait patiently. Not to bad. I've had better and I've had worse. I'd say pretty average for this style of place. My sushi wasn't well out together isn't a deal breaker but it's a little under par in my book. Especially for a place that is known for sushi. Atmosphere was nice. Service was somewhat non existent, sat for about 5 minutes before being asked if we wanted something to drink. To the point where we already had our whole meal picked out from am extensive menu. My wife liked it so there's the positive.

Food was fabulous! Wait time for a table was 35 mins so we did the hibachi side but ordered from the kitchen. We had the Sweetheart sushi, which was my favorite! Also, the chicken fried rice with vegetables and an order of shrimp fried rice with vegetables, just grilled it was delicious and tons of food! However, it took 30 mins before the waitress took our drink order and another 15 for our food order and waited 45 mins for our food!!! Ridiculous, we were there for 2 hours and there was only 2 of us. They were steady but not full. I will go back, because the food was perfect, I hope service is a lot faster.

Despite advertisements and search results saying they have ramen... they DO NOT have ramen or anything close to it. That said, and despite our server being obviously new and struggling (but he tried very hard and had a great attitude) my wife and I were very impressed with the food we did have, the atmosphere, portion sizes, and selection.

The meal was good as usual. The guest next to me has allergies and special needs so we had asked for his food to be prepared separately. It kinda was. His vegetables were cooked at the same time as the rest of our orders. His main entree was also cooked at the same time as the rest of our food when he had a seafood allergy. And he never received his steamed riced.

Absolutely delicious! A bit expensive but that's par for the course when you have high quality food being cooked right in front of you by talented chefs. They made my steak perfectly medium rare as well, and wait staff is nice and makes sure to check on you to see if the food is good and if you need refills. I'll definitely be coming back!

First time I tried it, maybe day after Christmas wasn’t the best time. The miso soup very good, but the to go order was wrong and cost more than the online menu. The chicken katsu was good and good portion size but the sauce was wrong. Fried rice tasted old. And we ended up with chicken udon when I ordered beef. For the price, I’m not impressed. Hopefully the sushi is better but I probably won’t try again to find out. It was fine if you are desperate but I should have lowered my expectations.

Best service we've ever received here! Server, manager and hostesses were all great! The wait was a bit much but to be expected on a Friday night and the Friday before valentines. Wait was worth it. The food is always on point and was no different tonight. Everything was great! Definitely a favorite spot for us!

My wife and I ate there last night and we always get the fantastic roll and it's usually amazing. This time we went and all of the rolls were bad. The fantastic roll tasted like sour cream cheese and had chicken fingers sticking out of them. The crazy boy was overcooked and tasted like straight deep-fried grease with a hard shell. We went around 5:00 p.m. on a Friday The time we usually go because we assume it's going to be top-notch dinner. It wasn't even really busy, our waiter only checked on us once or twice and we were left sitting in there half the time waiting for service. It really missed the mark on quality and was a big waste of $60...so we're probably not going to back anytime soon.

Our daughter invited to join them for lunch and a movie on Christmas Day! Since all our kids are grown we decided to give it a go! We had the most amazing meal! The staff was super friendly! The chef at our table was so fun! My steak was cooked to perfection! And the yum yum sauce is so delicious! A great Christmas lunch with fun people! A perfect day!

Have always loved it here, since the day it opened. I have food allergies and they accommodate and understand. Filet mignon absolutely melts in your mouth, every single time. Salmon is to die for and my 8 year says it's her favorite sushi in town ❤️

It has a nice ambiance; a very Japanese American atmosphere. It's one of Cheyenne's more upscale restaurants so the prices are moderate. The food takes awhile to be prepared sometimes but is tasty. When the Hibachi chefs are putting on a show it's pretty entertaining and exciting almost every time. It's a good family and date night spot.

I am always hesitant with sushi restaurants, no where near an ocean. The interior decorations and attention to detail on style convinced me to give them a chance. We were not disappointed. The four of us ate 7 rolls. The flavors all stood out as we ate and offer a nice variety on the palate. My only complaint was one of the rolls was topped with scallop, crab and shrimp, the the scallops tasted raw, zero texture and slimy. Super gross. But it is a personal thing, so make your own decision. Server said it was all cooked. We will definitely be back.

It was interesting! I had not ate here before, but my son and daughter in-law had and they enjoyed it. It was a fun place to eat and watch the waiters prepare your meals in front of you. Waiters were interacting with us all the time. I honestly don't know what meal of choice I had, but my son recommended it and it was great! We enjoyed our Japanese food and certainly glad to have that experience. I would highly recommend you make it your next stop when visiting Cheyenne, Wyo! You won't be disappointed, I promise! Take the whole family. Kids love it!

We certainly had a great time with excellent food at Wasabi! We waited at the bar for some of our party to arrive. The bartender was very attentive and chatty. Then on to the hibachi where we had some of the best hibachi ever! Not only was the chef excellent, he was entertaining as well. A great meal and fu. Dinner!

Fantastic sushi, friendly service . I was here by myself at a very slow time of day. There was a perfect amount of paying attention, while at the same time leaving me alone. I had the lunch combo with a spicy tuna roll and a DFG roll. Both were outstanding. Definitely will be back next time I am in town!

We went with friends. I ordered steak and scallops. The steak was very tender and tasty. Scallops were just very tender but not at all flavourful. The rice was overcooked, but the yum yum sauce was really tasty. Strangely, we didn't get our salad until we all had our main course, so food got cold while eating our salad. Our waitress was really friendly and nice.

It's a modern Japanese steakhouse. They intior was modern and sleek. We ordered a lot of sushi, alk from they're, special roll menu. And i had a blueberry mule, never had blueberry mule before not my taste but others may like it. The food was very good. My only complaint is that tge service was lacking and could be more attive. Our waters were not filled often and we rarely saw a server come by. I would eat here again though and do recommend them for sushi.

Made reservations, party of 7, showed on time still waited 30 minutes for hibachi... simultaneously, other familys that were waiting & showed after our group sat and ate before. Walls were quite filthy back by the far right grills however, food was appropriate and cooked accurately.

I kept hearing mixed reviews so we had to check it out. Here is the honest truth. Hibachi grill you are going to have a longer wait, however in our opinion it was more than worth it. We laughed, had fun, met new people. The chef was excellent, sense of humor and entertaining. If the wait is something you dont want please plan ahead and make reservations. The food was delicious, steak was perfect and I even ate the vegetables, something I dont like and dont do. I enjoyed it. The sashimi was well presented and fresh, tasted as it should. My wife is disabled and slipped and fell in the bathroom. The owner and staff showed true concern. Even though my wife is stubborn and these things happen, they were caring and attentive. We will be back again. Keep in mind you are going to pay and given what is available here in Cheyenne there aren't many options food wise but Wasabi is up there. Given the food, entertainment from the staff, and the fun we had; our experience was memorable and enjoyable and with the price. Honestly I expected to pay more.

Went there for the first time with some friends. This was a really nice place! Had steak with fried rice and veggies. Our grill was not pre-heated, so the manager apologized and gave us a free appetizer, so we all opted for the dumplings/potstickers. We thought we would get one order to share amongst us four, but we each got an order! They were really good, and the steak (cooked in front of us, then cut into bite-sized chunks) was done the way I liked it, medium. My dinner was about $20.00, plus the drink, which was a little expensive, but it was good enough that we will be going back soon! We went in early, and it was a good thing, too. By 5:30-6:00 pm, it was just about full on a Sunday evening, so go in early, if you can.

The waiter who sat us down instantly wanted our drink orders, we hadn't even laid hands on the menu yet. They were busy with it being prom night as well which we hadn't realized when we went in. We had our own celebration. The Hibachi grill guy was great and the food was amazing. We were asked if we wanted boxes while we were still eating dinner so that was bothersome. If we hadn't felt we were rushed through our meal i would jave given this 5 stars.

This is a clean establishment with wonderful staff. Great variety of sushi for lunch as well other types of rolls and make your own poke bowls. Love the hibachi grill in the evenings with entertaining hibachi chefs (soki shooters) volcano and grill chicken, steaks and fried rice with fresh vegetables. Highly recommend for family, big parties or an entertaining night out with fantastic food.

The sushi is very good. I ordered the Lion King (sweet) and Sweethert (spicy) it was a good combination. My son ordered the House salad they serve the cheapest iceberg lettuce and the dressing so so much garlic in it yuck I thought it tasted like onions for $2.50 it should have been complimentary! Our server was nice I believe her name was Pam. The atmosphere is nice, we liked the decor and clean.

We sat at the grill. Service was very good and the food was terrific! I've been to many restaurants of this type such as Benihana Etc. Although Wasabi was very good, they weren't quite as good as those. Long Waits between ordering and actually getting the food. All in all though oh, it was a very good experience and we certainly enjoyed the meal. Definitely recommend this place in Cheyenne.

The bamboo terrarium behind the bar was unique, and the people eating hibachi seemed to be loving it. Quarters seemed like they could get a bit tight in certain spots in the restaurant, though. Bartender was friendly and attentive. The host staff seemed like they needed a minute to figure out how to handle us. I ordered udon noodles with shrimp and my colleague ordered sushi. Considering we were in Wyoming, I was quite impressed with the quality of the cuisine. I tend not to think of Japanese food when I think of Wyoming, is all. The takeout menus were VERY hard to read. I recommend the management make a revision before ordering another batch. Green on black is tough on tired eyes. All things considered, the pricing was fair, the service was on par, and the turnover time on takeout was reasonable. But there was nothing spectacular about Wasabi, nothing that will make me want to say to a friend passing through, "Make sure you stop there!" Another visit might change my mind, but I'm not from the region. Three stars for giving me everything a restaurant is supposed to at a fair price.

One thing that we caught was the chef was wearing some very worn down Hollister sweatpants, which was really unprofessional. Other than that, the service can be better, but the food is excellent.

This was my first time there ever, and I'll definitely be going back. The sake time was fun and our chef was perfect (the older gentleman). I recently visited here with my family, and wanted to write a quick review. The atmosphere and general feel of the restaurant is fantastic, its utterly stunning. However, the differentiating seating is a tad confusing unless you read reviews pre-visit on how it works. We ended up in the Hibachi seating, even though we didn't order anything off of the Hibachi menu. While it was our own given mistake, we were a bit disorientated! Maybe having the waiters ask if its your first time or not could help with this. Sitting down was a breeze despite being cramped in with other strangers. Our waitress was lovely and welcomed us, however, it was impossible to hear her and order our food as, a few customers a table down were being extremely loud; partner this with her slight accent and how quiet she was it made for some confusion and frustration on my Grandfathers behalf. The food itself was very authentic, coming from someone who lived in Japan for a year. It was very well done and everything tasted fresh. The food all came in fairly quick and we ended up watching a mini Hibachi show despite not ordering it ourselves. I'd highly recommend coming here, but to be prepared for the noise and cramped space if you so choose the Hibachi seating. Overall, the Wasabi is an amazing place and fine dining experience. I plan on returning on News Years sometime and I suggest everyone reading to give it a chance as well. :)

My son absolutely loves the Hibachi Chefs. They are great and interact well with all of the customers. The food is quite good as well. I recommend the hibachi calamari. It is some of the best I have had in a landlocked state. They're sushi is of above-average quality considering where in the nation we are. It is certainly the best available in this town.

I loved the aquarium up front I could have spent hours watching that. The service was also pretty good, though our server was really soft spoken so that made things a bit difficult over all. Food was pretty decent. The lobster was a little chewy. But the sushi section was just kind of “eh” I went with a Philly role and was really disappointed that it was a huge blob of avocado and salmon and no cream cheese which is an integral piece to the roll. Overall it seemed like what sushi in nowhere Wyoming might be like.

Although the food was very good, the service we received from our waiter, Janson, was unbelievably awful. We had to ask another waiter for any refills. Our soup and salad didn’t come out. When the chef showed up we had to let him know (he was great by the way) and he had to search for our waiter, who we never saw until we had to ask for the check. Everything we asked seemed like a chore. This waiter is definitely not good for your business. Usually we have good service and those who stepped up to fill his shoes were great.

Didnt like the fact that the waiter put the tip on the check even though I didn't have eight people in my party. I think he racially profiled us thinking that we weren't going to leave a tip but that's my opinion you can go out there and find out for yourself. The food is good. Great place! Inland sushi is always a gamble but they have great rolls as well as a huge menu. Awesome bar and bartenders. The wait staff can be a little slow and hard to get ahold of but they are nice enough. Clean, funky, fun. Makes you feel like you aren't in Cheyenne. Try the Fox roll it's the bomb.

Food is still very good even after a few years of operation. The sad part are the steak choices. I went in on one occasion and they didn't have the Kobe steak despite being on the menu still. Now for the last two trips they have not had the Ribeye steak. This is still the best place in town for fish, and the show performed by the chefs is great. Service is awesome as well. If you wish to sit at a Tempanayaki table, then you definitely need a reservation.

Went first for sushi and for the price it really is not worth it. The sushi is okay, but not amazing and very much over priced. We went again for hibachi and while the cooks are fun and you are paying for food & entertainment, it was lacking in flavor very much. Luckily their hibachi is actually very well priced so it's not too upsetting. I just feel that if your food going to be prepared fresh, it should be seasoned well and not just gooped up with sauce to hide the blandness of the meat.

The food and service was exceptional! The service was on top notch! I really like Wasabi. I love Sushi and steak, the meat there is pretty good and the rice with vegetables with yum yum sauce are second to none! However, more than often I have found when ordering tempura rolls the pieces are uneven and WAY TOO BIG for a bite size like it should be. My wife had to cut hers with a knife first before eating it, which defeats the purpose of sushi. I saw a few guys looking like teenagers preparing sushi with headphones on, so I assume they are just learning. However, it is not worth the price if you are eating sushi made from an apprentice without proper supervision. I have to agree with previous comments. Some of the waitresses treat you like the world owes them a living because they are pretty. I don't expect a restaurant in Cheyenne to teach waiting staff proper manners and proper customer service but it should be friendly the least! I would overall recommend this place to anybody who loves a new experience and loves meat!

I loved the sushi here. It is a little pricey, but you can get dinners that are reasonably priced. The different rolls are just delicious, and are fun to try out. I went with family, and half got the grill, and the other got sushi. Those of us who got sushi tried each other's rolls. It was very enjoyable.

While I wasn't a huge fan of the miso soup, the rest of our meal was quite excellent and our server was great as well. Any issues we had were immediately fixed by the server and chef. I believe our waitresses name was Mimi. I have to commend her for keeping a cool head when an unruly customer blew up at her because he had to wait five minutes for his meal to arrive. Kudos to you Mimi!

Food was great as always. Had reservations for 12 at 7pm. Seated shortly after 8. Then we weren't even acknowledged for another 30 minutes after being seated. Was told 2 hibachi tables. Only one cooked so half the group was left out and it was thier first time. Your forced into 18 percent gratuity so even if thier service is subpar you still over tip. I would have tipped half what I was forced too due to the experience.

When came time to pay I noticed my beer wasn't on the bill and when I asked they said "the beer was on the house and thank you for coming in." I enjoy Wasabi's atmosphere and decore. Their sashimi is incredible and in my opinion the best in town. They have a pretty decent wine list but they're Moscato is my favorite. The only reason I gave them a 4 star instead of 5 is because of their reservation protocol. They will not seat you until 99% of your group is there. They'll hold the table open but they will not seat you. For example we had a reservations for 15 people of which 10 of us were there and the other five were just minutes away but they wouldn't sit us until a few more showed up. They're waiting room only has 6 seats. It doesn't make sense to me if you have the table open why you wouldn't just seat the party get them out of the doorway. You don't have to take orders until everyone is there but at least get the people sat.

This restaurant was a refreshing change from the rest of cheyenne. They make a very reasonable sushi with lots of house rolls. Additionally the hibachi is great. The only draw backs would be the parking lot which is small and somewhat cramped, and the fact that the restaurant is on the second floor.

Absolutely delicious! I would never have expected to find such a Japanese restaurant in Cheyenne, Wyoming! And I say this after spending 3 months in Japan eating real Japanese food. This restaurant comes as close as you can get to Tokyo! You have a choice between a sushi section and a hibachi section. The menu is very extensive. I suggest to make reservations unless you don't mind waiting for a table. The wait staff is quick and very courteous, just like in Japan. Oh, and did I say the food is delicious? And fresh! I had the salad, miso, and veggie sushi. We also ordered the edamame and California roll. The salad dressing was so good that I ordered a pint container for salads at home.

Absolutely phenomenal food. Hibachi chefs are entertaining and fun, know how to liven up the dining experience, and cook very, very well. They do a good job with the chicken and beef steaks, they do less of a good job with the shrimp and mahi mahi steaks - they're not bad, they're just kind of, eh. The hibachi-cooked fried rice is delusionally good, and the sushi here is just wonderful. The atmosphere is well thought out and enjoyable.

It's honestly hard for me to give the Wasabi Grill a four. The only reason I do is because of the times I've been there, it's been good and it's been mediocre. Wasabi opened just as the Tokyo Bowl, another Sushi place, was closing down. While this may have been initially good, there was the sad fact that they only served for Dinner. As of late, Wasabi is now opened during lunch as well. The food? I usually get the Surf N' Turf Teppanyaki. Sometimes the steak was really flavorful, other times, it was just, well mediocre. The Chefs always seem to be there to please, and do a good job at entertaining the table. The Sushi has actually gotten better and better over the last few months. Originally it was very rice heavy (and the rice had no flavor), but now, the meat to rice ratio has evened out and I've actually had some pretty good pieces of fish and rolls. Over all, I'd recommend at least trying Wasabi out.

I ate at the sushi bar. Though I wouldn't consider this a traditional sushi bar like you would see out east (more like sitting at a bar and having a waiter) the service was excellent. The sushi was ok but not epic. Unfortunstely none of the rolls mentioned on the website were available. I can't wait to bring my kids here for the Habachi grill.

I am from SLC, UT and have been to a few restaurants similar to Wasabi. This is one of the best hibachi grills I have been to. The NY steak and the chiken were so tender and juicy. I'm normally not a fan of rice, but the fried rice was amazing.
