Reviews of Korean House Restaurant
Lucas Long
Hands down the best mandoo I have had in the states! These are huge and perfectly fried. The kimchi is amazing. I wish they would put more on the plate but that is my only complaint.
Bryan Dombrowski
맛있어요! Delicious korean food made by 2 very kind women. FYI cash only! Gets busy at lunch time but worth the wait. If you've never had Korean food before try the Spicy Rice Cakes 떡볶이 (TteokkBoki). They so soft, chewy, and good! Bibimbop, 비빔밥, is also very good if you're trying to order something a little more authentic than Fried Rice. All the meats are fantastic and the ice cold 낸명 (NaengMyeon) noodle dish is great for a summer day. If they offer to cut your noodles with food scissors say yes, they're very long and chewy so it's easier to eat. Cant wait to come back again

Authentic Korean food in Cheyenne. The food was tasty. For Korean food lover such as me and my husband, it felt like we found a gem while visiting Cheyenne. Although they said only take out, the lady asked us if we wanted to seat and eat, which we did. We reached there around the time of closing so there weren’t many people. There were 3 ladies working and handling the entire thing (girl power), they were very friendly. We had mondoo soup (soup dumpling), spicy sautéed pork and fried 5 piece mondoo. We’ve got no complains in any of the item we ate there. If you are looking for fancy seating this isn’t your place, but if you are looking for good food, you must try.

First time I ate here was for lunch during work. I had the beef bugolgi, the portions were very good for a bit of left overs, and it tasted great. The kimchi is good as well just not as spicy as i would like.
Ate there for dinner as well and had the Mondoo soup, everything was very good, the fishcakes weren’t too chewy, and the broth was the best part.
Emerald Massman
I used to go to Korean house with my family as a little kid, the last time being when I was 12. Going In for take out tonight brought back a lot of happy memories for me. 12 years later, and the Mondoo still tastes as good as I remembered. A fantastic local restaurant that I hope sticks around.
sleebus jones
Had the Japchae and it was excellent! Looking forward to trying the rest of the menu.

We have been here, but it was a few years ago. So, we decided to go again about a week ago. A sign on the door said no dining room - takeout only. However, the owner was very gracious and said we could sit at the tables and enjoy lunch. This was nice as it was so cold outside.
We ordered several dishes including the fried mondoo (dumplings). The kimchi was crisp and just the right amount of spice along with the other pickled veggies on the plate. The bulgogi was incredible and perfectly seasoned and the fruit drinks on offer are a nice add-on. Several choices on offer of dishes, soups, and appetizers.
However, the only downside is that it is CASH ONLY. A single meal costs less than $20 with drink and a tip. Figure on about $15-20 per person eating (if an adult). Will not wait another few years to visit this location again. Friendly owners and great food.
Had to edit this to say that if you go, you have to try the egg or spring rolls. Incredible! You could make a meal out of 2-3 of these alone.

Awesome Korean food. It's a small place that has some seating but is mostly takeout. This is a must if you like Korean food.
AnnaMarie Forgit
I absolutely love this restaurant! It is authentic Korean food and their menu is superb! The folks are always friendly and the food always comes out tasting excellent. Just FYI, the food is takeout only. They do not accept credit cards, so bring cash. I love this place and every time that I'm back in Cheyenne, I will make it a point to get some tasty food. I highly recommend this restaurant to others. Thanks.

Cannot dine in. Food was just like .... Korea. Loved it. Kids not so much liking it, they very much enjoyed their meal. It's all about new cultural food. Will be coming back.
Ernesto
Great food and friendly service.
Rosa
Food was delicious and friendly service.

Amazing Korean food. We stumbled across this place when looking for lunch options in Cheyenne (and happen to love Korean food). Korean House did not disappoint. I got the bulgogi (but also wanted the spicy rice cake, spicy pork, bebim naengmyeon, and everything else on the menu), my husband got the fried rice (b/c that egg on top...) My bulgogi was perfect, the banchan and mondoo were yummy, and portions were great. This place is cash only. Will most definitely be back even though it's 40 miles away, boo:(

KIM WHIPS IT UP IN DA KITCHEN. Everything be too fuego🔥🔥🔥 it’s always cooked to perfection. It’s pretty small inside but it’s so delicious. The beef bulgogi SLAPS💥 the Korean rice cakes SLAP💥 the kimchi SLAPS 💥 bi bim bop goes HARRRRDDDDD. Love the food here it’s definitely super authentic and fresh there’s NO other place like it in Cheyenne.
Ilya Fischhoff
Bi bim bop and steamed mondoo (beef dumplings) both excellent — fresh ingredients, homemade, flavorful, satisfying! Staff very kind.
Giovanni Longo
Very nice family run joint. Fantastic food. Felt authentic as it gets !
Chris Ponton
What a great find! My brother and I enjoyed it, very much. Traditional foods from traditional ladies. They've got a small menu, but that's all I needed to have a familiar taste of memories long ago.
Josh Chrysler
Probably the best food in Cheyenne. Cash only and limited hours, but it is worth it!
John A
Only Korean restaurant in Cheyenne Wyoming. This place is like coming home and grandma is ready to feed you. As a Korean I love eating my traditional food and it's very hard to find it in Wyoming. This place is #1 the food is amazing home cooking. It's like grandma cooking at home. The older koorean woman cooking and and taking your order is very sweet and nice. I had the beef bone soup and wife had steamed dumplings. Both were very yummy. If you are looking and know what Korean food is try this place. Lots of the customers are airman from the local Air Force base. They ONLY accept cash 🚫 credit card.
Allie Z
Best Korean food we’ve had! We ordered the bibimbap and both the chicken and pork ones were excellent. So fresh, so many flavors. It’s a great local spot and was a fantastic stop! We called in an order ahead given we were passing through and it was convenient, delicious, and an awesome spot!
PewPewPewKitty
Absolutely delicious and comforting homelike vibes and best kimchi ive ever had
Wayne Harding
I've eaten here for over 20 years, and it is still my favorite place for authentic Korea. Fried Mando is my goto.
Patience Hopkins
The restaurant is very good! The menu is quite extensive, offers a variety of soups, salads, hot dishes. The interior is designed in Asian style, which gives additional charm to the restaurant. The food is very tasty, the portions are large, and the prices do not bite much. I was pleased with the very fast service, the food is delicious. Asked to cook a medium spicy - and it was just right (moderately spicy).
Mare Barrow
Absolutely amazing and a wonderful price especially the kimchi
Josh Eyres
Good lunch spot. Food is good and authentic. Could use a bit more customer service and it would be great if they accepted a payment method other than cash
Kristi S.
Excellent food, cash only. Very nice ladies that own it. Don’t speak a lot of English but they are unbelievably kind. The bulgolgi is my favorite
Dena Wallace
Very good and quick lunch. Big portions and very friendly staff.
Intreo
Amazing authentic Korean restaurant in Wyoming.
Coming from a Korean, I had little expectations as other Korean restaurants had a very Westernized Korean palate.
However, the restaurant is run by 2 very nice Korean ladies with a clean and warm atmosphere.
Not only is the food delicious and hot, it is also authentically Korean and tastes like it was cooked from a Korean kitchen as opposed to others. Delicious place for true authentic Korean food in Wyoming.
Vanessa Pineda
Delicious!! Friendly staff and delicious food. Bring cash.
Gabriel Meza
I have eaten at this restaurant for many years and I am always glad I did , the ladies that cook there are very skillful and consistent with there preparation and presentation of there food, the spice is good and not to spicy that the food is not edible or not hiding the true flavor of the food. The Kimchi here is outstanding and very fresh. They do not take credit or debit only cash or local checks, be sure to order ahead if you do not like waiting.
Jerry Roberts
They have weird hours of operations. It's a tiny place and they only take cash. It's sort of inconvenient but the food isn't bad and I definitely get the feel from my time in S. Korea. The service was friendly.
Carl Olsen
This is easily the best restaurant in Cheyenne. The location and decor may not meet some people's idea of 5 stars (or even 4), but we go there to eat. The food is top quality and all cooked by the owner herself, not some low wage slacker. That woman is impressive, and it shows in the food. This place is where we go to eat and feel good. If you come from, or can relate to, a culture where food is more important than presentation, you will likely have no disappointment.
Update: the pricing below in the review was from 5 years ago, so it’s gone up a little. Still a good value and our favorite.
Pros: Authentic, Great quality, great flavor, healthy choices, attention to detail, cooking is done by the owner, friendly, kid choices, reasonable prices, large portions, privately owned (No corporate executives deciding how to manipulate you into paying more for less while someone else does the work).
Cons: This place is small and a bit hidden, decor and ambience is a betrayal to the food quality. Only takes cash, and due to the owner getting on in age, dine in is only available for lunch, other than the owner there is usually only one other person helping with prep and serving and may not be as meticulous as the owner (but no worse than the help that you would find in any other restaurant).
Prices: expect about $10-$12 for most dishes and most are generously sized (my wife usually has left overs and gets 2 meals from a dish). The ribs are a few dollars more but still a value imo. You can also buy a large jar (aprox. 1/2 gal) of Kim chi for only $11 (including the $1 deposit for the jar)!!
Whoever said this place was expensive was likely comparing it to McDonald's and may have been disappointed with the lack of engineered food. If you enjoy processed food over authentic, or shop mostly in the frozen food section, then there is a chance this isn't the place for you. Not everyone has the same taste. But if you are in Cheyenne and at least curious, it is worth trying.
My favorites are the ribs and bibimbap.
cogeek797
Amazing food and 2 wonderful ladies who run this place. Next time I will definately call ahead so I can try the kim bop. I loved it and so did the daughter. Definately got my Korean comfort food fix and bought a big jar of homemade kimchi!
Sharron Kilpatrick
This place is wonderful! The Be Bim Bop is delicious, my husband is addicted to the spicy cabbage and I love the pickled radish! Just be aware the egg rolls are a whole meal into themselves, ground beef and glass noodles. The place is small but clean and tidy. I highly recommend!
Ki Kwan (Booki)
I decided to stop here on a whim as I was passing through Cheyenne and looking for lunch. I walked in and was greeted immediately by a very welcoming woman. I looked over the menu and decided on the bibimbap. It took about 10 minutes maybe to make. It was delicious. Some of the best Korean I've ever had. It was so light and flavorful. Everything was prepared well. The kimchi was so good and the fried egg was perfect. I couldn't eat all of it but I am definitely going to eat it later for dinner. If you're passing through or live in Cheyenne and you want some great Korean food, definitely check this place out. Or if you've never had Korean and want to try it, this place is for you. Amazing.
Kristin Owens
Absolutely wonderful! Our family enjoyed the bibimbop, bulgogi and spicy pork! The four of us were happily stuffed by the time we left. This is a hidden treasure in Cheyenne!
Cooper Pigg
Honestly v yummy! The ladies are always kind and welcoming and the food is to die for. Def missing it at the moment so can’t wait to stop by next! Ps try the ramen 😁 …
Joel Mauer
Very good food every time I go there..Front lady was very friendly as well!!
Connie Elizabeth
So GOOD! Staff is very nice. They let us dine in even though there is a sign that says take-out only. It is cash only, so bring it! There is an ATM across the street. Definitely worth your time and money.
Jesse A
This hidden little gem. Great authentic Korean cuisine. Gotta try the Bi Bim Bop. and the bulgogi.
LaVelle Jones
It’s good. It will satisfy your korean craving but spicy chicken isn’t spicy and very bland. Egg rolls are good and kimchi is good. Also tried the bim bim bop and that was good.
Ian Mackenzie
Amazing food, wonderful service and cozy atmosphere. Remember to bring cash, though! The food is all fantastic, actually cooked by the small staff from the owner's recipes, not random americanized pseudo-Asian food. Not the most polished setting, but by the time you're done eating you shouldn't care. Best food in Cheyenne, bar none.
Rebecca Pechin
The food here is so good. The women are kind and the atmosphere is sweet. They only take cash, their hours are a bit difficult, and the food is slow to come out. But it's the best kimchi I've ever had. You can buy kimichi by the jar and take some home!
Travis Kirchhefer
I love the food here, it's simple, and clean. My friends who have been to Korea tell me that it's also 100% authentic. We literally eat here every time they visit. This is a gem in Cheyenne. Be prepared to pay in cash.
Robert Forsythe
I think the food is very good. Been going there for a couple years , I have yet to have a bad meal.
Chris Kenyon
Average lunch is around $11. Service is a little slow especially if they are busy. Place only has 7 tables. Very popular with the military so getting in around military paydays is insane. They are also cash only. So why five stars? It's ran by two little ol' ladies who kick out some amazing food and I mean amazing. It is locally owned and not another Mexican restaurant here in Cheyenne, something different.
Aaron West
We enjoyed the Korean House after locating it in TripAdvisor as a place to eat while spending the evening in Cheyenne as part of a trip to the West Coast. As with many Asian restaurants, the design is simple and practical. Very clean and appealing. The bulgogi was outstanding. The buns were even better. And the kimchi is out of sight. The owners are remarkably welcoming and friendly.
Derrick (Daddy D)
Food here is toe tapping yummy. My favorite is the egg rolls. These are not your anemic meatless carrot and cabbage filled egg rolls. These egg rolls are a beefy meal in themselves! Nicely seasoned with rice and kimchi on the side. I just wish they gave you more kimchi it's delicious!
Couple of notes: Bring cash they do not use plastic or any other form of pay here. Also the food is pungent! But that is part of the good stuff! Just something to keep in mind before a date or job interview.
A must stop place if you have never tried Korean food or have a taste for something out of the ordinary!
Chris Alma Jose
Outstanding little hole in the wall that more than makes up for the lack of ethnic fare in Wyoming. No frills here, just pure delectable eats and a fine cultural experience. A tad bit pricey for a dive but if you like great, authentic Korean food, and there isn't one anywhere else within a foreseeable radius, you know it's worth the occasional splurge. Oh, and cash only.
Andy Reiner
Excellent food, I loved the spicy chicken with fried rice and pickled side dishes. I am not a local - I was passing through and will go out of my way to eat here again in the future. Cash only!
Tim Masters
I had bulgogi at another restaurant in Fort Collins and I had a hankering, so I tried this place to fill the void. It wasn't bad by any means, but it definitely left me wanting for the bulgogi from the other place. The restaurant itself is odd and kind of run down looking. If you eat your food there they serve you on paper plates. They also only take cash which is pretty inconvenient. Maybe it's just me and I'm wrong, but as far as I know, most people these days only use cards for payments. I might be able to be convinced to go back if somebody I'm with wants to go, but otherwise I will head to Fort Collins if I have another bulgogi hankering.
Shawn Landreth
Eggroll was good. Ordered ahead a it still took twice what we were told
Len Vite
Food is always delicious! Friendly service, good food and the restaurant is spotless! Highly recommend!
Bryan Bean
Wow, authentic Korean food in....Cheyenne?! This place is great.
First, don't judge by the outside. It looked a little sketchy, but inside the service was very friendly and the food was fantastic.
We started with some fried dumplings...mmm. And had a spread of Kim Chi, bean sprouts, rice, and sesame spinach.
For main courses I had the beef ribs (very yummy short ribs), my wife had the friend rice (topped with a big ol' pan of eggs, very tasty and a very large potion), and my buddy had beef Bulgogi (I think) that was really tasty too).
Portions were very big and well worth the roughly $10 a plate, I would definitely make the drive to eat here again.
I don't know
Nice lady who runs this place. But it was rated one of the best 5 places to eat in Cheyanne. If that's the case I won't be stopping in Cheyanne ever again. Just not that good and pricey for what it is. I had the spicy chicken and rice. Sticky table.
Christofer Hardy
Wonderful Korean food, the Kim Chee is wonderful. It's a intimate little restaurant. Since it's close to the base, it gets a lot of Airmen who visit.
One thing to remember is that they only accept cash, so you have to bring cash.
Jared Little
Get the fried mondoos. They are like dumplings but they are the best I've ever had. Great with soy sauce or the red chili sauce that you need to ask for or both together. Definitely will go back for the rest of the menu.
Wendi Nichols
The food was unique and delicious. The people were so sweet! Not much of a wait for the quality of food. I can't wait to go back next time I'm in town.
Russell Rubright
The food was excellent. I’ll be back for sure.
Jenna Laird
We're so happy we found this place! The food was delicious. We had the Be Bim Bop and Dumplings. Both dishes were absolutely wonderful. We will be back on a regular basis! Yummy for our tummy!
Michael Wong
Cheyenne is not what you’d call an epicurean paradise. Korean House is one of the few gems. Many dishes, like bibimbap, can be vegetarian by substituting very nicely prepared tofu.
Cindy Griebe
The food is great, authentic Korean. (Our exchange student from Korea even loved it.) The restaurant was packed over the noon hour. The server was very friendly.
HANGAR NUT
I have been gone from Cheyenne for 13yrs now and still can't find a Korean resturant In the big city that could compare to this small town taste. You all did and apparently still do an awesome job in the authenticity of the Korean dishes. Man I miss that kimchee and beef bulgogi.
Jake Laird
Best Korean food you'll find in Wyoming. Nothing fancy, but authentic and tasty. Might have to wait a bit for your order if it's busy, and they only accept cash or local checks.
John Bonomo
A lovely Korean family runs this place. The food is genuine, the food is fresh, and they're welcoming to everyone who comes in. I wish they accepted credit card, but it oddly rounds out the experience! This place is great!
Metalface Official
Always consistently great quality, reasonable prices. Flawless customer service, down to earth and friendly staff. Everything feels very clean and welcoming. This is a small local business I love to support and would recommend to absolutely everyone!!!
Katie Main
I'm from SoCal, where there is a lot of Korean restaurants. It's so good, very authentic and the women who are there are so nice and very friendly. Finding this place has been so nice and I am so happy I did.
Adri True
Very good food!
Matt Wolfe
By far one of the best places in Cheyenne to eat! If you are looking for top notch service or fancy decor, don't go here. If you want some top notch REAL Korean food and don't mind waiting a minute if they are busy this is your place.
I am torn between the Be Bim Bop and the Spicy Pork Bulgogi, both are AWESOME! Kimche is also delicious here. Steamed and fried Mondoo are both delicious here as well.
Keep in mind most days this is a 2 person operation, if you can't be patient while waiting for the food, or ask for your table to be wiped if they missed a spot don't go here.
CASH ONLY
Feenyx Firre Boulware
You cannot get more authentic Korean in Cheyenne! This place is the most amazing wonderful ethnic food and that you will have ever in your life
Joshua Hastey
Really great, authentic Korean food. Cozy, with just a handful of tables, but the owner is really friendly. Averages about $11-$15/ person.
Bruce Schofield
My first experience with Korean cuisine, and I couldn't have been more satisfied! The portions were great and the ingredients fresh. Delicious!
Ray Rieker
Awesome authentic Korean food.
Steve Gough
On the plus side, there is a Korean option in town. My meal was just ok though lacking much flavor. I'm picky about kimchi and I couldn't eat this one so I was glad it was just on the side.
Jon
Best Korean food I’ve had outside Korea. Cash only, and it can be frustrating to sit down, not get service, and watch someone come in, place a to-go order, and leave while you’re still sitting there. Food is worth it though I just get to-go more now
Isaac Martinez
I am a huge fan or the chicken fried rice. It's the best in Cheyenne. The ladies are always pleasant to deal with and it's clean as a whistle!
Bianca Moya
Super delicious food! I’ve tried there ramen, bulgogi, and fried rice. Wasn’t disappointed! Great place to go if you’re looking for authentic Korean food!
Nick Dodgson
Always friendly, great prices and fantastic food, they close by 6pm so get there early! Cash only but worth the trip to the atm, best kept secret in Cheyenne
James Sykes
The food is always fresh and delicious and probably have some of the best kimchi this side of the pacific! Highly recommend!!
Jake Giles
Excellent food, very tasty and mild. If you are thinking of trying, DO IT!! You won't won't disappointed.
Nathan
Very good, and love to support businesses like this, but wish styrofoam wasn't used on the dishes! I think this is a recent thing, but am not really a fan of styrofoam. :/
Danielle Alvarado
Easily one of Cheyenne's treasures. With chain restaurants everywhere, this offers delicious, different food. But bring cash, no cards accepted.
Emily Smith
My two girls had Ramen, my husband had dumplings and I had the spicy pork. It was super delicious and we will definitely return!
Hsuan-lei Sung
This place is better than any Korean restaurant I've been to in Denver/Boulder area. Simply delicious and authentic. It should become a chain.
A W
Amazing food! The food has amazing flavor, great smaller atmosphere, and the employees were great !! Definitely a must visit for local authentic food
Michael Strickler
Great food. Friendly staff. Clean place. Only possible downside is they do not take card payments... ATM across the street.
Josalyn Warfield

It's interesting. I'm from Japan. I've eaten decent Korean foods. But the spicy rice here is the best ever.

I’m thinking about notifying the DEA that the Bi Bim Bop should be classified as schedule 2 drug. Once you mix in the red sauce it’s delicious.
