Reviews of The Vandalia Company

The Vandalia Company is an amazing local business! It's so nice to see how they've progressed from a food truck to now a brick & mortar location. The building is clearly marked on the outside. Once you're inside, the open layout of the building is decorated with a very cool, chill vibe. The staff are always friendly. They offer dine in, take out, and curbside pick-up (if requested). Vandalia offers a small variety of food that still gives good options to customers. Their donuts are all based on their "#42" donut base option with different toppings added. The donuts are freshly made and really good quality. Besides donuts, they sell delicious salads, scones, sandwiches, and some soups. I've never had a bad thing from here! If you're in Charleston, it's well worth your while to stop at Vandalia.

We were looking for a GOOD local breakfast/coffee shop while staying in Charleston on our way home to PA from NC. We found this adorable shop and were super blown away. We got breakfast tacos, a couple donuts, and coffee, and I was not ready for the taste I experienced. The taco was so freaking good I hardly even know what was on it, I ate it so quickly. I got the lemon blueberry donut, and it was the best donut I have ever had. It went perfectly with the black coffee I got, which was from a local roaster I believe. I wish this shop was closer to where I live, because I would go there every weekend. Do not sleep on this place. Unbelievable.

I didn't really like scones before I had scones from The Vandalia Company. Most scones are overly dry, but theirs are perfect. Full of flavor, the chocolate chip ones have tons of chocolate chips in them, and the crystallized sugar on top is an excellent addition. The donuts here are also very good. You can get plain ones or try one of the ones with toppings and cream, either way you won't go wrong. Everything we've tried here has been great and their scones have become a go-to for us.

Vandalia is one of those local businesses that make you feel so welcome when you walk in. The vibe is chill and the food and drink was delicious. They did have milk substitutes. I got oat milk and they have some others as well.

Traveling through the area on our way to Indiana & wanted something other than fast food. Found this place not far from the highway & I’m so glad we stumbled upon it. Not only is the place adorable, the food was fresh and delicious (just what we were craving), the pumpkin chai cold brew was the best cold brew I’ve had in a long time, & the people were all so helpful and friendly! Highly recommend this little gem!

Update today I had the Greek Salad and it was so fresh and amazing.... the texture of Stephanie's scone are next level. Beyond delicious....literally everything they make fresh homemade and quality.... the greek grain salad omg... the mini pumpkin ans apple donuts .... then chocolate chunk scones that are the absolutely best! The owners are super friendly.. they have grab and go lunches in the cooler 😎

This is one of the best places in town to get a good bite to eat. Their breakfast has been fantastic every time we go, the bacon and brioche being one of my favorites and the breakfast tacos being my husbands. Their seasonal donuts and scones are to die for. But most of all the staff is super friendly. We love going to look at the goodies from local shops and chatting with the staff. We will continue to come for our breakfast dates!

Ate here for the first time yesterday and it was outstanding!! I had the Crispy Thai Chickpea Grain Bowl.
It was SOOOOOOO DELICIOUS, fresh and filling!! The customer service was GR8 as well!! Can't wait to go back next week and try another Grain Bowl along with a Donut or Scone.

Vandalia Co. is an absolute gem in Charleston! Everything on the menu is delicious. The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting. The market next door has such unique and useful items for sale. Would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Food is fresh and delicious. Surprised it took me this long to discover this hidden gem! Going back again today.
