Wow! They have such a great gluten free selection and fantastic allergy protocols! I felt safe eating here. The rainbow salad was beautiful and so delicious. I also shared the nachos—really flavorful—with my sister, who absolutely loved her classic burger. Highly recommend trying!!

I didn’t expect much but when the staff wants to make sure your burger is paired with the proper beer, you know you might be on to something. The fried chicken special was fantastic. The beer was extraordinary and the service/friendliness was better than all the above. Observed the kitchen for 20 minutes and they do it right. No cutting corners. These ladies are destined for greater things. Highly recommend for lunch, dinner or even a quick brunch.

Absolutely fantastic and unique vegan food, served by delightful folks. I have visited here a few times now, and tried something different each time, including daily specials. I have been absolutely thrilled with every sandwich, side dish and everything else in between that I have tried. I am totally looking forward to the next trip through Charleston, and will definitely be stopping at the Loopy Leaf again, and again.

We enjoyed our stop here for lunch. My Mediterranean salad was excellent, my wife's nachos were very good, and my daughter enjoyed her tacos. They also had a small but all local beer selection that all fit the vibe of the place nicely. Everyone we interacted with there was very friendly, helpful and welcoming.

We always get the best food at the Loopy Leaf. Burgers, Ramen (pictured) tacos, barbecue and more. The menu is always expanding and we watch daily for new specials. We especially love pepperoni roll day. Service is great with a welcoming team of employees. The best thing is the food is all Vegan and a it is local small business. It is a much needed restaurant in our area. We love the Loopy Leaf.

Stopped here on our Thanksgiving road trip. Really fun and delicious vegan food. Pretty easy to access from the interstate so pop-in and support a local creative food spot instead of the boring old chains.

Awesome experience, my highest compliment is usually "just like Mom used to make" doesn't apply here but only because Mom didn't cook vegan. It was a short walk from the hotel, so try this place in downtown Charleston if you want great tasting vegan food at a reasonable price cooked by the owner with love. She has the gift of flavor and a great story to tell. I enjoyed talking with her finding out about her journey to where she is now. Pictured is the AU JUE, vegan burger with loaded potato soup, and don't forget the local fruity craft beer. Kinda don't feel so guilty now because I had a great barbecue brisket for lunch...

Delicious! Tried the ramen bowl and the bahn mi and both were excellent! Finished with fried banana bread and oatmeal raisin cookies. Large portions and very friendly people. Also quick - we are on a road trip and stopped for a lunch.

Loopy Leaf is a great addition to the mix of restaurants in Charleston. Everything I've eaten here has been perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The staff is friendly and helpful. Today I enjoyed the Chikin avocado sandwich and a Funky Beet sour beer. It was a perfect lunch on a blazing hot afternoon.

Holy sh*t this place is AMAZING. Me and my partner live in Huntington and every time we come to Charleston this is our go-to spot. We’ve been 5+ times and haven’t had a bad bite once, which is saying a lot because my partner is super picky. Our favorites are the Tunah Salad and the Hawaiian Burger. Their draft beers are also tasty and unique.

Obviously vegan, extensive menu, and HUGE salads. It's difficult to find places that serve large salads, even vegan places, and this place has them. Trust me when I tell you their salads are huge and sufficient for a meal. Now...to finish my leftovers. 😋

I got a raw whole-food salad which was good, but it came with a packet of processed Hellman’s dressing which includes soybean oil and sugar (both inflammatory ingredients, having other issues too) as well as questionable natural flavors. I was hoping to receive a simple fresh healthy homemade dressing to go with the fresh healthy salad. (That’s what I would expect based on the advertising of the salad.) I got a side of black beans which added some nice flavor to the salad though!

Huge salads! The Avocado salad was packed full of greens, thin sliced and rolled cucumbers, tomatoes, chicken, red cabbage and of course avocados. Great little place for a healthy meal!! We stopped in for dinner and left perfectly satisfied 😊

I had the Hawaiian (Beyond) burger. Loved it! It may be better than any meat burger I’ve ever had. The service is good and friendly. The vegan potato salad was excellent. I didn’t think I would like it, but I really did. I will be back. I might try one of their craft beers next time.

Very fun place. Good crowd. Food is absolutely delicious. I had the burger and chips. Would never have known it was all plant based. It was the perfect burger. My brother had a hoagie. It was huge, and again no way to tell from taste and texture that it was all plants! Healthy or not, the food is superb! The staff is welcoming, helpful and friendly. It seemed that all the patrons were having ad much fun as we were. This is our new go-to place!

AMAZING. I’m a songwriter from the Hocking Hills of Ohio and stopped by before playing a show at Fifes Brewing. Got the chili cheese burger, baked mac and chips. 10/10. Must visit if you’re in the area. I’ll be back every time I’m passing through! Good stuff.

We had heard about the Loopy Leaf restaurant from friends and decided to go try it. While finding parking is a real issue in downtown Charleston, the food at Loopy Leaf was absolutely wonderful! The taste was amazing. We like organic and healthy food, but they know how to make it taste wonderful also. A great place! We will return to it!

This place is too cute! I went in for a to go order and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. I got a salad that was much bigger than what I expected, worth every penny! The salad was colorful, delicious, and perfectly presented. I plan to go back soon! The employees were kind as well.

I absolutely loved this place. So many amazing food options. I had to stop twice while on vacation. As I passed through Charleston going to my destination and coming home I stopped here both times and both times it was incredible. Will be making a more regular cadence of visiting Charleston just for Loopy Leaf!

Super nice service and very creative chef! Some of my faves have been the nachos, crab cake, steak and chz bagel, and chicken N waffles (Sundays only). Always enjoy going here and appreciate that there are new specials and themes everyday in addition to a big menu. Only complaint is the somewhat wobbly tables. A rotating selection of desserts to go as well!

Best vegan restaurant we have EVER been to. Everything we got was really, really delicious, large portions, and not overpriced. So good we went for dinner and then came back the next day for lunch. They were actually doing Sunday brunch with a limited menu but still lots of different things to choose from. The crabcake sandwich was incredible. Better than what I remember non vegan crabcakes tasting like. The nachos are loaded with toppings and the cheese sauce was so perfect. There is a large variety on the full menu and they have gluten free buns and gluten free rice noodles for the Ramen..... which was soo good too! Everyone working there is very friendly and we really appreciated the happy atmosphere to go along with the amazing food. Thank you 😊

Probably the most comprehensive all vegan menu I’ve ever seen. The food was incredible. The service was friendly and fast. With lots of gluten-free options highly recommend the chicken, bacon, avocado sandwich, and the nachos.

My husband and I just moved to WV and when we found this place - let me tell you, I’m not vegetarian or vegan and I *love* this place! The ladies are so nice and the food is wonderful!! Fantastic vegan restaurant. I'm not personally even a vegetarian let alone vegan but I do like trying different things. Seemed slightly pricey at first but the portions are rather large. Ordering a classic Philly gets you an actual footlong (not a Subway "foot long") , and the personal nachos appetizer (which I highly recommend, it was absolutely loaded) is big enough to be an entire meal for the average person. If I worked nearby I could see myself regularly getting it for lunch. If I had to criticize anything it would be the lack of diet soda, but this is due to the restaurant's view on artificial sweeteners; which I can respect even if I don't personally agree. They do have a great selection of soda with natural sugar. My wife and I combined ended up spending ~$50, but that was 4 items plus drinks, and I had more than enough left over for lunch the next day.

The food was amazing and the people were great. I stopped to get lunch when I was down town for first time and a few days later drove 20 minutes just to get more. Probably the best place I have ate in west virginia to be honest. It's like something you would eat in a big city and you wouldn't even notice anything is vegan.

I had an absolutely fabulous meal at the Loopy Leaf this evening with my sister. I was shocked at the pretty presentation of her salad and the quality of the food we were served. I will definitely go back again. I had a very tasty Classic Impossible Burger and could only finish half of it. Unfortunately, the portions are large too and I had no room to taste the yummy looking cake or cookies that were also available . 😊 Did I mention the staff were Super Friendly? Just go...just go try The Loopy Leaf. You won't regret it! I pinky swear!

Traveling and my husband found this totally Vegan restraunt for us to stop for dinner.We had a beyond burger, Mac n Cheese ,Nachos and a pepperoni roll for later.Everything was amazing and what I loved most was I didn't have to ask what was in it. Loved it! I had the gun slinger burger and Tostada where great! So many vegan options 100% plant based. Healthy meets gourmet. Great vibe and energy! Great to go section ,so you can have something for the next day. For a traveler looking for vegan and WFPB look no further. They are right downtown ,near all hotels. Marriott was 10 min nice walk. I can't wait to try the hoagies and the bowls, salads looked fantastic! What a gem. If you want they even have local fresh craft beers on tap!

Was in town for the day on a business trip. Really cool to see an exclusively vegan restaurant in WV! The food was pretty good: got an avocado tostada, crab cake sandwich, mac, and a chickn bacon ranch sub. Tostada was okay, very fresh tasting although I wish there would've been more of the yellow sauce (I forget the name lol) on there to add more flavor... probably just not the right item for me. However, the sub was TO DIE FOR. Like, so amazing!!!! The other two items were pretty good too. I would try this restaurant again and would regularly get subs from here if I lived around. I would like to try some of their other options as well if ever in the area. Also, the overall vibe of the place was very eclectic and it was awesome to see a place like this getting good business considering the location (not a lot of vegans in WV). Friendly, prompt service too! 9.5/10

Not commenting on food bc unfortunately i did not get to try it. Up from Florida visiting an had good reviews for vegan food. They have zero parking thst i could tell. Granted im in a wheelchair so i get it, just sucked bc food looked good. Edit: next time in town i definitely will. Just hard to call when driving in unfamiliar area lol. Thanks for replying.

I'm visiting Charleston from Brooklyn for the next couple of months and my friend Rafael has RAVED about the Loopy Leaf - so of course I've been wanting to try it. We stopped in tonight for dinner and OMG. Y'ALL. This is the SPOT! I tried their spicy kimchi ramen soup and there were so many flavors and textures - it was basically magic in a bowl. I can't wait to go back to try their burgers, hoagies, and...well... kind of actually every thing on the menu. Not only is the food amazing, but the owner, Sondra, and her staff are just wonderful humans - they are all authentically kind, caring, and just NICE people. What a GEM. If you live in the area, this place is a must - but also - you will see me here OFTEN over the next two months!

One of my favorite spots in town. The burgers are amazing and that potato salad will make you hate all other potato salads, even your grandma's. Not vegan? Go anyway because you'll be surprised at how delicious everything is! So thrilled to have this in Charleston.

Teriyaki ramen bowl + plant chicken: meal seemed a tad pricey. Food + bottle water closed in on $20. But the food was fast, hot, and delicious! I'd definitely go back, but I'd probably place a pick-up/to-go order. First impressions: the restaurant floor was a bit dirty, and several tables needed cleaning. The smell was a little overwhelming but not unpleasant. TL;DR? The food is good, the restaurant needs some cleaning. 3 stars, 2 for food, 1 for cleanliness. *Additionally* I understand the flow of business, and today's staffing struggles that every business suffers. The staff was amazing and deserving of a star just for them, so I added one to my overall rating.

Don't overthink the vegan thing. It's all good food and I guarantee your meat lover friends will be fine. Prices are fair. And I feel the work put into the food more than justifies the price. We drove in from Richmond and this place was our very first stop. Wonderful Friendly staff - CHECK! Great Service - CHECK! Amazing menu that does not disappoint - CHECK! We started with a pretzel and wings. The both the dipping sauces that came with the pretzel were top notch. The wings were great faux meat though I think we would get them naked with the sauce on the side My girlfriend had the chicken parmesan sandwich. Everything was perfect fro the bread to what came in between including a healthy helping of mixed greens. I had the Korean tacos. Amazing crispy texture that comes from fresh greens, great grilled faux beef and amazing sauce. If you are a vegan, this is your jam. If you are not, the food is great and you will enjoy it none the less.

We ate there last night for my birthday, there was a small group of us but it required more than one table, of which they were very accommodating. It was only my second time eating there and decided to invite some folks to celebrate my birthday, and in a place like WV ya never know how people will respond to vegan food; but, everyone LOVED their meals and my second experience left me just as impressed. One of the highlights of the experience was the wonderful music that was being played last night. Which was an excellent mix of some contemporary indie music as well as some new wave post-punk from the 80's. Many of the songs I have on my own playlists, I loved it and it added an extra special touch to my birthday. The staff was efficient, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly. The impression last night's experience left on everyone at the table will probably result in some new word of mouth business down the road. Thank you all and I hope you stick around for a VERY long time.

Happened upon this wonderful little place while passing through Charleston. Friendly service and great food with many different vegan options. Seriously considered driving the 2 hours back here from where I was staying for lunch the next day. If you don't try this place out at least once, you're missing out. This was such a great find in a small town like Charleston! I travel for a living, so it's not always easy to find a restaurant that's plant-blased AND has gluten free options. I had a friend that is not vegan recommend it to me, so I think that speaks loads for the taste and quality. I had a crab cake sandwich on a gluten free bun, and I couldn't believe it wasn't actually crab cake! The flavor and texture was perfect, and I was told it was made from jackfruit. The employees were the sweetest ladies and we couldn't have asked more from them. I'd highly recommend to vegan and non-vegans alike!

The food was great and service was quick! I got one of the brats and a cup of Mac and cheese within a couple minutes of ordering, and it was more than enough food. I don’t think I’ve ever actually eaten at a completely vegan restaurant before, so I’m glad my first experience was a good one. The textures were slightly different than what I’m used to, but generally the food tasted as you’d expect it to if you were ordering from a non-vegan eatery. They’ve got a great variety of offerings and will definitely be a local favorite in no time. Can’t wait to go back!

The food was delicious. I had the Mountaineer burger and enjoyed it a lot. My friend's mom tried the Reuben and wasn't a fan, neither was my friend who has been a vegetation all her life, but all 3 of us would highly recommend the burger. My friend had a the creamy coconut ramen and she absolutely loved it. My only complaint would be the attitude of the woman with dark hair and the cauldron tattoo on the back of her elbow who took our order. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan so I had some questions, but it was obvious she would rather do anything than answer any questions I may have had. When she brought our food to us, it was for a different set of 3 people. Nobody was upset about it other than her. I wasn't the only one who noticed the poor attitude. The food was great, but honestly that woman's attitude was enough to make me not want to go there again because she made me that uncomfortable.

Expensive but worth every penny. The second all vegan restaurant in WV surpasses its competition by offering a large variety of food options for any mood. You get what you pay for and this is a high quality eating experience for people who are health conscious and ethical and can afford the very best. You will leave happy with no complaints other than being in debt from all the food you just bought.

Got the Italian sub and mac & cheese. Italian sub was really good and filling. Didn’t get to try the mac & cheese because they left it out of my pick up order and I live too far away to swing back by and get it. Still 5 starts since the food was really good that I did receive, but I’ll definitely be checking my bag next time to make sure I get all my items when picking up.

Wonderful selection of 100% plant based foods. I even tricked my dad into thinking he was eating real meat. Everything we had was fantastic. I wish I was staying in the area longer so we could try even more menu items. They did not have high chairs available for our little vegetarians, but we made due. The staff was extremely helpful during our visit and offered us an excellent experience during our visit.

The Ban Mi is to die for. I was stunned by it, definitely worth checking out. The chips are also very good and not too salty. Also tried the pilly but did not like the mushy texture of the “meat.” It was frustrating trying to figure out what was to drink because the drinks aren't on the menu—they’re in a cooler no where near the counter. I hope they can address that issue either with a drink menu or moving that case closer. It’s very cute in there, relatively clean but the trash can was overflowing and they use a lot of plastic containers and clamshells which surprised me. I expected it to be more green friendly.

So we have been wanting to check this place out for awhile. We happened to be moving and found the chance to stop through on the way. They had a vast menu of all plant based food! They had drinks that are hard to find and they not just allowed doggos inside but they gave my service dog a brat. The people who work here are nice and they are very aware and respectful. The art and plants and live music was also just so wonderful. This was well worth stopping for.

Very confusing and snarky reply to my review so I guess also be aware of that. 😅* BE SURE TO CALL BEFORE YOU TRY AND EAT HERE!! Drove all day to get to this place from Kentucky. The hours are posted as open until 8pm. Arrived at 7:30 and the doors were locked and was told they’re “doing trash and cleaning” It was unfortunate that there was no indication they would be closing early. Definitely was disappointed and was looking forward to eating here all day but unfortunately I will not try to eat here again

They kept it safe and will mail it to me!…This level of integrity and customer care comes in addition to a delicious take on barbecue jackfruit.!!! My husband and I had the jackfruit both in sandwich and taco form. I could not be more pleased with a restaurant. I highly recommend The Loopy Leaf!

The folks here are very nice, and friendly. The location was clean, and inviting. I had the BBQ sandwich previously and it was very good. I also had the Savory Curry Ramen at a later date and was somewhat disappointed. Not much of a curry taste was present, and it was somewhat bland. It was plenty of food though, and it looked beautiful. Its unfortunate that it didn't taste as good as it looked. By no means was it bad, its just didn't really have that strong curry taste I was expecting.
