My favorite place for breakfast when I'm in Charleston. Food is always hot and fresh, coffee the same. It's pretty chill in the mornings, so you can relax with your meal and watch the news on TV or catch up on your phone.

Our family stopped in for lunch today and really enjoyed it! The staff was friendly and helpful in working through our large order. Food was delicious, although small portions on fries. No restrooms to wash hands as mentioned in other reviews. Overall a good experience and would recommend!

I had a lovely barbecue and fries and drink which I enjoyed very much. Orders taken quickly and food delivered quickly, hot and fresh. The people that own/work there are lovely people that have it all together. Tip them if you can as I think they earn it and appreciate it.

Friendly atmosphere. Order at the counter, straight menu with daily specials. Sadly, Breakfast is only served until 10.

Perfect little spot walking distance from most offices around Capitol street to grab a quick bite and a drink. First time highly pleased, will definitely add it to the weekly rotation for lunch walks. I had the south west wrap and it hit the spot.

Fantastic cozy little coffee shop with amazing friendly people!! You could get lost in the artwork on the walls as they have some of the most stunning prints I have ever seen. Judging by the smells coming from the kitchen these guys mean business and next time I’m in the area I’ll make sure to sample more of the menu than I was able to my last visit!! Just wanted to give a special thanks for the amazing hospitality I was shown as I was passing through on saint patties day! You guys rock and I WILL be back 👌😉

Friendly service, good food. The bread was a bit dry, a bit skimpy on the cheese, and the potato salad is very basic, but still good. No restroom, but hey, it happens. It's decent. Not great.

The gentleman working was very friendly on both occasions that I have been here. The pulled pork sandwich was good and the breakfast sandwiches that a few co-workers and I had on a subsequent occasion were very good... Like home cooked quality. Stop in. They are worth it.

Friendly, solicitous staff; excellent service.... This is a great little diner, a real find. The food is outstanding, especially the hot dogs which are as good as any I've ever had. The four people in our party thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

This little cafe is the place for breakfast. I ordered a breakfast platter and it was so delicious. The home fried potatoes are very flavorful. In addition, the staff is very polite and friendly. They have no problem striking up a conversation. They'll even come by and take your tray when you're done. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a home cooked meal with a family feel. This place is a true gem in downtown Charleston, WV!!!

Haven't been here for a while and just happened to be driving by and saw their special for the day was BBQ and decided to stop. The BBQ was delicious, called a friend who works in an office in the same building and she came down and we had a nice enjoyable lunch.

Swiftwater Cafe rocks! Its food is fantastic; owner and staff are good down home folks that run a great little business with way better food than large chains do! We were visiting in from the Northern Panhandle of WV and just stopped in. Will definitely recommend and be back on our way through again! Thank you Swiftwater! :)

The staff is friendly n helpful n the nicest you can imagine in fast food......but.....I ordered BLT....it said 5 slices of bacon n there were only 2 whole slices n half a piece......I literally got a mayo, lettuce, tomato sandwich with a lil bacon.....I will go back , if it had the bacon on it would have been delic.....but next time I count bacon before I leave......the cashier was so friendly she made it a pleasing experience

Wouldnt call hot dogs and burgers brunch, but I'm not a local. Good find even if the staff is a bit confused. Ordered a take out tuna sandwich, but got grilled cheese. Oh well, at least it was a really good grilled cheese sandwich.
