Love visiting the Capital Market and often, if I’m there for lunch, will grab a fish and fries. The fish and shrimp are lightly breaded and tasty. I’m personally not a fan of fish skin that isn’t crispy so I had to peel one side off. The fries, hush puppies and slaw were all good. It is also a great place to grab some fresh seafood to prepare on your own.

I got the big fish combo, It was so delicious! Very light and buttery! The service was fast too! They were very friendly and gave us recommendations.

For Fresh Seafood, it takes only a few minutes for the food to be ready, and with a such large portions as well!! You'll definitely get what you pay for; did i mention the variety of things on the menu? I can also buy, and take home raw food to cook for my family if we don't feel like going out to eat and want to stay in the comfort of our home. The staff is very friendly, with welcoming faces. One of my favorite things to eat at Fresh Seafood Market is the Big Fish Combo that comes with fries and slaw, the crab dip is amazing, and i can't forget the hush puppies!! I think everyone should give this place a try, I know you'll find something you'll love with their huge menu!

Thought it was time to have some oysters for lunch so went to fresh seafood at the Farmers market.and Tony was there waiting to take my order. They made for me a fresh shocked oyster dinner with all the fixins. My order was probably made fresh and hot. Sit down to a lunch of excellent prepared seafood everything tasted good everything was served on time and I got the experience of setting in the Farmers market watching the traffic go by and Jordan my oysters or excellent I highly recommend an oyster dinner some fresh seafood at the Farmers market.

A staple of Charleston the old man and the fish market have been here since I was a young child it’s a friendly face and amazing food you can’t go wrong with the big fish sandwich and clam chowder if your near the capital market this is a must try

Today was my first ever visit to Charleston and my wife and I decided to stop at the market for some food. I chose the Fresh Seafood Company and ordered a catfish sandwich meal. I’ll be damned if that wasn’t the best catfish sandwich I have ever eaten before. Not only was the food beyond my expectations but the gentleman that waited on me was awesome to talk to. I live in Ohio and I’d make the 4 hour drive again just for another visit here. Highly recommend

Fish (fried grouper special) was good and so was slaw. Fries were cold and hush puppies tiny and burnt. Definitely overpriced for what I got ($16.95). Wife got big fish sandwich. It wasn't bad and the crab bisque was pretty good. Sandwiches are the better deal here. They served our daughters hot dog cold (seriously, how hard is it to microwave a hot dog). Saw them throwing out empty croissant boxes from Sam's club. So, don't expect anything fancy as far as the sandwich bun goes. No free refills on top of already high prices. I would try several other places before I ever came back here.

Meh... Fish sandwich: First one came out cold and rubbery. Second much better, but definitely more breading than fish. I’ve had much better cod sandwiches. Crab cake sandwich: Prefer a much higher ratio of crab to filling. If you prefer crab cakes where the crab doesn’t stand out, they’re not bad. Owner was definitely friendly and accommodating. Awesome setting to eat outside adjacent to farmers market on a beautiful day.

So alright, the place isn't so fancy especially from the outside (don't be a snob) because what you get to eat there is amazing! My husband is not a fish eater...very scared of getting something "fishy" (lol) but let me say that even my husband was singing the praises of his Alaskan cod yesterday at lunch. I was so full I didn't eat for almost 20 hours! The hushpuppies, the coleslaw and the fries were wonderful. (we ate lunch there) Yes, we will go again soon and take our friends and family along! Nice friendly waitress too. The price was sweet.

Absolutely the BEST FISH I’ve ever tasted! Staff was AMAZING! Very friendly staff and I love being able to sit outside and eat! Definitely one of the best places in town to eat!

I've never gotten anything from Fresh Seafood Company. I usually get big fish combo ...crossant with fish Cole slaw. Great. Can't eat fries not on my soft diet.
