This was our first visit. We were in town visiting a family member with health issues, and Captain D had something she could eat! The staff were friendly and helpful, and our order was ready fairly quickly. Everything we got was tasty, prices are not bad. Will definitely visit again next time we are in town.

Friendly staff answered our questions about the ingredients and replaced some shrimp that fell on the floor. Food was delicious, but not as hot as I expected. Still, this is a fantastic place to eat.

This place was a bit underwhelming for the first time I went to try them out. I purchased one of the family meals and I was not thrilled with the chicken or the fries. The fish was actually pretty good and I would go back again for just that. Otherwise, it was just a mediocre meal experience overall. The staff was great, so no concerns at all on the customer service side.

Delicious fried food from shrimp to chicken tenders, the mac and cheese is great too. But the drive through takes forever! Not sure if they are frying food as it's ordered, which would make the wait time appropriate.

The staff was friendly enough. The restaurant was fairly clean. I ordered the shrimp and the clams. It was crispy hot and tasty. The french fries were kind of cold. The fish was crispy but was a bit lukewarm like it been under heat lamp. My friends fish was cooked fresh so it was very tasty. The parking lot was very tight and trying to get to the drive-thru was a bit confusing also tight.

I've been going to this restaurant for years! Faithfully! Chicken dinner, side of batter dipped fish, green beans and cole slaw🤤 It is delicious especially if you use a little hot sauce on the fish. You can't go wrong. And yes they give you a veteran's discount. …

We normally like Captain D's but lately there has been an employee bringing her kids in and letting them in the back where food is prepared and behind the counter, this particular day her little one was behind the counter retching like he was getting ready to vomit, this went on for 15 minutes before someone came in and took him home. We were sick from hearing him. She could of took him outside or to the bathroom so people eating couldn't hear him.

This Captain D’s has some of the friendliest staff that you could ever find In a restaurant, Cherelle she is absolutely awesome, she is so friendly to everyone that walks in that restaurant it is just amazing how she treats her customers, and the food always taste freshly cooked, I am very satisfied every time I eat there.

The quality level is inconsistent, but since it's the only seafood restaurant between Dunbar and Belle on this side of the river, save for Tidewater and the place in Capitol Market, what are ya gonna do? When it's good, it can be excellent. When it's bad, it can be inedible. Case in point, their salmon. Done right, it's as good as most casual dining spots (Tidewater). Other times it's a pine plank. Fortunately, it's at least acceptable most of the time.

The food is good when it is fresh, I have only been to the drive thru. Never been inside but I am sure it's your standard seafood restaurant. Anyway it's good for what it is.

Nice, quiet, fish-dinner-on-Sunday place.(At least that's when I go there.) I'm told Captain D's gets their fish within 24 hours from Alaska.
