Reviews of Bridge Road Bistro & Catering

We had an appointment in Charleston and were fortunate to eat at Bridge Road Bistro. We have a subscription to WV living magazine and read about this restaurant in the statewide dining guide. The interior is absolutely gorgeous with all the beautiful holiday decorations. We were seated in a booth were we could see the cooking staff preparing food. I was amazed at how they work together to prepare the requests of a full house of hungry humans. You have a large list of different beverages so everyone can be catered to. I chose a glass of Chardonnay which was delicious. I actually had two glasses of Chardonnay. We chose BRB Chips as our appetizer. They were freshly cut and prepared with blue cheese and scallions. Absolutely delicious the taste of the cheese on the chips blended perfectly with the scallions. I ordered the 6 ounce filet mignon. I like mine cooked medium well done and it came exactly like I had ordered. The creamy mascarpone whipped potatoes were perfect and so were the sautéed asparagus. My husband had the 12 ounce hatch Chile rubbed ribeye cooked medium rare and he was pleased. I stole one of his Brussels sprouts and several salt and pepper potatoes. Delicious as everything we had there. The menu has many choices and I will be returning many times to try them all. If you are in Charleston to shop or an appointment or both. I highly recommend stopping in and enjoying the delicious food and the ambiance of elegance the restaurant provides. I was impressed that the bar area was full but I was not even aware that the tv was on and couldn’t hear the sounds of a full crowd enjoying the bar. That is very impressive and appreciated. They also provide catering and private dining and in designated days they have live entertainment. After looking at the catering menu I might have to figure out a way to have a catered event so I can taste the different foods offered for catering. The drive to the restaurant with the guidance of Google maps was easy and it is worth the drive. This restaurant is truly an experience that I am grateful to have had.

There comes a restaurant that surprises you sometimes. Bridge Bistro did that in a most delicious way. And, fun to boot!
We were looking for a new New Years Eve restaurant, and we've been to the other upscale restaurants in town. This fine, elegant restaurant served up a most enjoyable dining experience and evening out. First, it's a super clean place with a nice ambiance. Then our server, Mark (that I've read so much about in reviews), waited on the three of us. He provided recommendations and just plain great attentive service. It couldn't be better!
Next was great, succulent food. The Missus had the filet mignon steak. I had the Walleye fish. My sister had a large piece of fresh salmon that she said was made to perfection. Oh my gosh, everything was outstandingly delicious, fresh, and well made! The fillet was definitely prime, and the walleye fresh. A Brownie, ice cream skillet dessert was also shared. We had started with a cocktail upon arriving.
There was a 2 piece band playing (male/female), and they were very good. That only added to our 3 hour special evening out.
Folks, I highly recommend this restaurant and know that you won't be disappointed. They're now in our top 2 in Charleston! Hmmmm.....I think our number one, now.
I can't wait to go back!

We had a great experience at Bridge Road Bistro! Our server, Mark, was impeccable. He provided great quality service, timely, friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The food was above and beyond our expectations. We had the Spanish coffee, spinach dip, poppyseed seasonal salad, and fillets.

Mark and his crew did an amazing job at hosting our holiday lunch. The food was beyond my expectations. Mark was on top of everything, as well as warm and welcoming to me and my 22 guests.
The food was served hot, cooked to near perfection. I couldnt have found a better place or meal to have a holiday lunch. I will look for reasons to have more meals hosted or catered by Mark and the amazing staff at BRB

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Amazing food and wonderful staff

Ultimately we enjoyed our experience at (and our first time trying) The Bridge Road Bistro! I wanted to take a minute to discuss the pros and constructive cons for you (the reader) to fully know what to expect. :)
My husband and I went here for our 15 year wedding anniversary dinner. We wanted to try somewhere new and where the food was more upscale, and in that department they didn't disappoint! When we got in the restaurant we were literally the only people in the restaurant besides a group outside. It was around 5:15pm on a Thursday. We were seated promptly by the hostess and then greeted by our server relatively quickly. Great start so far!
After our order was taken, the wait for the food began. Granted, it isn't a fast food place and it is all chef-made so we expected longer wait times. But we did wait nearly 40 minutes for one burger meal with fries and one black bean burger meal with fries. So expect a longer wait for sure. Obviously, if it was busy at all (again it was just us and one group outside), I am sure that wait time would be increased. Next time we would probably get an appetizer just to pass the time.
One constructive con was that our server, though nice and attentive WHEN he was at our table, was quite slow and didn't seem to be around when we needed to ask him a Q or needed our check etc. We were given extra drinks at the table so that helped in not having to wait on the server to refill our drinks. Which was a great idea by the restaurant to do!
Ok, so the food was AMAZING! The fries are really exceptional! -- I can't believe I am saying that about fries lol! My black bean burger would've been 10/10 for me if it had some sort of finishing sauce or better yet a little sprinkle of citrus (like lemon or lime) to really bring out all the flavors in the house-made black bean burger. It did have some sort of mayo or something on it, but a splash of something would've put it over the top for me! :) Desserts.... Yeah, they're the bomb! My husband and I tried Creme Brulee for the first time ever and it is now my husband's favorite dessert. And I got the blueberry cheesecake and it was nice.
Atmosphere? We didn't see it busy, but the atmosphere is chill and we loved the real candles on the tables! There was also a fireplace by the bar seating which was pretty (even though we sat at a booth to the side of it). My one constructive con was the decor (and probably only because I was a professional interior decorator before). They really need to pick *one* theme and stick to it throughout the entire restaurant. It would really up the ante for the ambience of the place. For example, they had an industrial theme at the bar with the barrel table and chairs and the bridge sculpture over the bathrooms, then there was a very modern theme at the bar and bar seating with clean lines and black tables and seating, then there was a country theme with plants along the windows in country pitchers and block words/country feel on top of the fireplace, then there was an almost oriental feel with the vases down the middle of the booths and their oriental styled branches, then Christmas was still up with the bow on the vase and the garland on the window sashes, then the tables in the non-bar areas felt upper class but chill with the wooden tops and beautiful candles but then the fabric of the booths was very old/retro looking. Then there was cabin vibes with the black bears on the walls by the bathrooms and even western vibes with the oxen yoke over the other door. Then there were pictures of skydiving which felt very sporty (and a pics mix elsewhere) then a lot of wooden paneling which felt again 70s/retro. Lastly, there was bright aqua blue paint meeting up with powder-blue paint from the entry to the restaurant and that kinda clashed. Now hear me, I probably only noticed because of my background, and the long wait time where I had time to checkout everything, but it would be AMAZING vibes if y'all could maybe settle on the modern/modern industrial vibes because it would really pull it all together but still be chill! :)

I have eaten at this restaurant a couple of times now and it's always been a great experience with great service and food!
We recently chose to have our company Christmas party here and they did a phenomenal job with everything!
I would highly recommend this restaurant for others to go and enjoy!
Travis Ova
Food was ok, would have been great if it came out hot and fresh. Steaks were cooked properly but sat so long they came out warm which doesn’t lead to great food. The staff was overwhelmed and the manager was making excuses and comping lots of meals due to long wait times and cold food. Even cocktails took to long to be brought out. I hope to return with a better result.
Mark Tyler
Went for live music night. It was great. Servers were very busy and service was a little light at times. The food was good. I do plan to return.
Zach Elmore
Wow, when I walked into this establishment I thought, “I guess this is just another ordinary Bistro ” but BOY WAS I WRONG. I have fallen in love with their food, and the service is phenomenal. I would give 10 stars, but they only gave me 5. I highly recommend this establishment!
Miranda Zaroda
I must say we had a party of 10 and everyone was bragging on their food. We will definitely be back. One of the best meals I've had for a long time. Impressive!
Pam Heroux
Accommodated our group of 40 no problem. Service was great, the owner and staff clearly take pride in their business. Good fun, good location, plenty of parking.
Braden Scheick
I was stood up for a date, and the staff were very nice and supportive.
The food was fantastic.
It turned out to be a great time.

We celebrated my parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary today in the Walnut Room at Bridge Road Bistro and I am walking away being as impressed as I could possibly be on all levels. I grew up in Charleston area but have lived in Columbus for 20 years...I've worked as a restaurant mgr for 14 years...so amazing food, ambiance and service is very important to me.
Sandy the owner was so quick and responsive with questions and allowed a couple site visits. She was wonderful to work with during the event having everything that I could need including AV wiring for running photo movies on the TV's to a great set up for music to choose from...Loved the Golden Oldies channel.
Staff was incredible with wonderful service and even helped me set up before hand...which was so thankful.
The food was delicious, with every guest gushing over it. We chose to do about 7 heavy app's, drinks and they allowed to bring in our own cake.
I will continue to tell everyone I know about Bridge Rd. Bistro and can't wait to visit the restaurant again.
Emanuel Valencia
Thank you BRB for hosting our work party. We had amazing time! Great service and food! That lobster bisque was a hit!!!

Great food, great service, and overall great place to go for a wonderful dining experience.

Service was very good. Food was prepared as expected. We were reated respectfully and we were not rushed .

Delicious cocktails and food! The crispy brussel sprouts are amazing.

I ordered Grecian Chicken Penne Pasta as a take out meal this evening. The Chef prepared My meal to PERFECTION. I have food allergies that include Cheese and cream based food. The Chef tossed my penne pasta in an olive oil seasoned blend that was Amazing! Thank you so much! See you again soon! Thelma

Attended an office Christmas party here for lunch. Food and service were good. Liked the Cajun pasta I had.

I had a great experience at the Bridge Road Bistro. The restaurant and lounge had character and a relaxing atmosphere. The bartenders and waitress were pleasant, knowledgeable. and very timely. The food was delicious. The owner and manager went out of their way to introduce themselves to our party. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for great dining experience or just meeting friends in the lounge for a chat and a few drinks. I will be going back frequently.

Had a wonderful 1st experience here a few nights ago. We started with the bistro chips- the blue cheese was to die for. My mom had the crab cakes and loved them. They had just switched to a new menu that day and didn't have anything already vegetarian on the menu for myself, so the chef threw together a pasta for me! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Lara Bissett
We have eaten at Bridge Road Bistro many times, both on date nights and as a family, and I have never been disappointed. The food is consistently good and fresh. My favorite dishes are the simple ones. The flash-fried brussels sprout leaves are absolutely incredible, as are their summer menu replacement, the kale chips. But all the entrees are equally delicious. Other restaurants in town may get more hype—and we have dined at those spots as well—but my choice is BRB.
Carrie Samuels
The food was absolutely incredible! The service was great. The only complaint I have is, it is too noisy in there. If you're looking for a quiet intimate dinner this is not the place. If you are looking for a place to socialize and drink, this is your place. In my opinion I will only be ordering take out from here. I didn't quite like the atmosphere but that's not the restaurants fault. In conclusion, if you are looking for some fantastic food and drinks go check out this place!
Ben Meckley
Food was great, excellent service. Slightly overpriced given the settings and decor.
Jason Martin
We LOVED this place. Stopped half way home on a long trip and we so wish we lived closer so we could be regulars. Mark was the best server ever and Sandy stopping at the table for the first time actually didn't feel awkward like it does when so many owners/managers do. Keep up the fantastic food and great service.
Only wish we didn't have to get home otherwise we would have loved the live music!
Connie Porter
The service is exemplary. The food is so delicious and the Creme Brulee is to die for.
Marshall Filler
Despite a shortage of staff and hot weather the two humans and two Bouviers were well served by Mark the GM who was performing multiple jobs and the food was excellent.
Jacob Bias
The food there is great. It gets to you fast and it doesn’t feel sped up. It’s constantly great and they have people who come up and sing and I believe it’s a great environment. And nothing I’ve ate there was made poorly. The chefs there have talent. No doubt about it. If you have any doubt go ahead and try it.
Brian Henry
I ordered the salmon with kale and new potatoes- and didn't like the taste of the sauce at all. It was too bitter for me. So, the quality control guy brought me the steak medallions with mash potatoes and asparagus. It was excellent. My partner had the pork chops and was very pleased. We both had delicious chocolate cake for dessert. The staff and service were ,overall, very attentive. Especially the quality control guy. We will definitely return.

Charleston’s Hidden Gem! The food was impeccable— Highly recommend the filet, sirloin, and scallops. Mark, the general manager acted as sommelier, suggested great wine pairings. The owner was also amazing, love supporting a local woman owned business. Can’t believe we waited so long to go here it will definitely be the new date night go-to.
Shelley Garbart
Had dinner here tonight. A gentleman named Mark waited on us. Very nice and very informative. We had the bib lettuce and apple and bacon salad and roasted cauliflower soup for starters and the Walleye and Pork Osso Buocco for entrees. Our food was delicious, on time, and plated nicely. We own a restaurant outside of Morgantown and I will be stealing the Roasted Cauliflower Soup. After the meal we enjoyed a house special Spanish coffee prepared, I must say rather adeptly by Mark. Great drink and great show(Mark)! We are now enjoying our appetizer-pinto bean poblano hummus in our hotel after the Righteous Brothers concert. Great time-great food-great waiter-great time!! Jim and Shelley

I just shared my review on Yelp but I need to share my great experience. I have to say that this place really blew me away. I'm visiting from NYC and wanted a nice but casual place for dinner with a pretty large group. It was a last-minute reservation but the hostess greeted us like old friends and instantly made us feel welcome. Our waitress was darling and attentive and steered us to some of her menu favorites. They did not disappoint! The cocktails were inspired, creative and expertly made. My entree of chicken and waffles was epic! It had some regional flair which made it so unique and delicious. I heard from a local that this restaurant had gone through some turnover, but I'm happy to say the current proprietors have figured out the magic. I highly recommend this gem. As a jaded New York foodie I have to recommend this so highly. My only regret is not ordering dessert.
Emmanuella Onyekwere-Eke
Very lovely environment for a date night. Loved this restaurant and would definitely come back. We weren't a fan of the lamb burger or the pasta but absolutely enjoyed the chicken wings, the Spanish coffee and the show that came with it.
Nathan Epling
Honestly this has been one of the best meals I've had in some time. I had the crab cake and my wife had Pasta Norma and added shrimp. The food was amazing. The service was even better. Mark was our server and helped us navigate their menu and made some solid recomendations. We plan on coming back and bringing more with us. When you stop by ask for Mark he made the experience even better. Do yourself a favor and stop here

My husband and I just moved to the Charleston area and happened upon this delightful restaurant! So glad we did, and we will definitely be visiting again . . . and again . . . and again. The Autumn Salad (recommended by our friendly server) was absolutely delicious . . . wanted to lick the plate clean . . . but being new to the city, thought I probably shouldn't. My husband liked it too and is joining me as a member of the "clean plate club". Their crab cakes are really thick and yummy . . . a specialty of the house . . . and the avocado hollandaise sauce was almost like icing on a cake! I only wish I had had a little room for dessert. The owner came by to welcome us, the bar tender knows great places to fish, and our server was helpful, pleasant and is a new friend! You just gotta check this place out if you haven't already. Highly recommend!

Could not have had a better experience. Food was out of this world good. Service was good, atmosphere was good. It really made for a Great date night. If you have been to Bridge Road Bistro before or haven't been for awhile. You should put this on your list of places to eat. Hats off to everyone there. Loved it ❤️❤️❤️
Jeremy Rose
Loved the food, I considered taking a star off for the environment as it felt just a little dated perhaps, especially in the bathroom oddly. But I still think we had a very enjoyable meal overall and would return! The BBQ bacon wrapped meatloaf was amazing!
susan greene
Mark was a wonderful waiter. We were celebrating our 38 anniversary and I had the crab cake egg Benedict with asparagus and a spring salad. White wine. Husband had the ceaser salad and spaghetti with meatballs. The carrot cake was to die for! You must come and support your local businesses.
Chanel Hunt
Wonderful environment and food was spectacular. Please go check them out.

Perfect place to have went for date night! This was our first time going and we were both very impressed. Everything was OUTSTANDING, from the atmosphere to the service, to the food that was cooked to perfection! Misty was a fantastic server. I highly recommend this place, to anyone reading this, you should go! Thank you to The Bistro for a perfect dinner experience!
Kevin
If you want great food and a friendly bunch of servers you should come here. If you are passing through on the highway it is well worth your time to exit and drive the 5 minutes to the restaurant. I was driving through myself and they stayed late to accommodate me, I will definitely be coming back. Ask for Mark, he was great.
Teri The Cupcake Lady
Sandy Call and staff run a beautiful, spotless restaurant with absolutely amazing food! I was thrilled to pick up our Christmas Eve dinner From these wonderful folks! Bridge Road Bistro is an absolute gem and such a community treasure. Please make sure you stop by to visit them soon, wonderful food and top-notch service!

I ate there recently with my wife, the food was just okay and we weren't very impressed. The Korean chicken appetizer was good but the French onion soup wasn't very good, it had a very peppery taste and that wasn't appealing. For the main course my wife had the crab cakes and I had the sea bass, I believe it was a daily special. Both were just okay. Nothing stood out from the meal coupled with the high price. I don't think we would return. Overall the atmosphere was nice and there was some music.
Rick Clay
Wounderful eatery! Owner very knowledgeable and service was delightful. Glad she opened after this Pandemic! It was great being around people again!
Kelsey Scott
Nice decorations and very good service. the restaurant had many conference rooms, which worked great for my groups meeting. They also offered a broad wine selection. I had the black bean burger, which was good but I expected more for the price.
Jessica Toath
We arrived around 7 pm, I don't know if it was too late, but the server informed us that they were sold out of the majority of the menu: crab cakes, lobster mac and cheese, and filet! We decided to stay and see the performance so I elected to get an alternate item. The bacon wrapped meatloaf was available. However there was not any potatoes ready. We had to wait on that. My friend decided she would get wings instead of crab cakes, she did seem to enjoy those. I usually love the french onion soup, but on this particular evening I had convinced my dinner date that it was amazing. She and I both ordered a bowl, it was very bland as if It had been watered down. I was a little disappointed because this is a place that I frequent and wanted to provide my guest with a nice experience and came up short in doing so. There was no butter! Perhaps it was just a bad day. I do not know what the situation was, but it would have been nice to know of the items that were not available upon initial arrival .
Dannille Freshour
I only went there because I got a bogo for a burger. After being seated and waiting about 15 minutes for the waitress we find out that the deal was no longer valid. Then we waited another 10 minutes before our order was taken. Then it took another 20 minutes to make 2 burgers. Unfortunately I didn't think the food was worth the price or the wait.

First time ever going to Bridge Road Bistro today, and I can 100% guarantee we will be back! Mark was our waiter today and he was beyond absolutely fantastic along with the rest of the staff. Our food was phenomenal, best calamari and desserts ever, also the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, without a doubt will recommend!
Brandy Brown
Love this place. They are the best in town for private parties. The walnut room was perfect for my husband’s 40th and the food is delicious. Ask for Mark. He made our experience special and worked with me on every detail.
Greg Harkins

Our server, Savannah, was top notch.... not a cheap place to eat .. some portions were less than expected..... still very good....

The catering you offered to cover for the cheer team who lost one of their own, was absolutely beautiful. This place AND its owners are what's RIGHT with this world. Thank you for your kindness. If someone inboxes me the bill, ill gladly cover it ♡

My friends and I had a lovely experience here last week. Everyone loved their meal, I loved the menu choices. Excellent cocktails and service. I found the design very handsome. I wish the owners well.

Menu contains selections to please everyone. Delicious fresh food served with a smile. The potato chips are to die for. Order as an appetizer to share. We were delighted on our first visit and will certainly go again.

Outstanding dinner perfectly prepared to order. Friendly professional service. Quiet Atmosphere for intimate dining. Great Cream of Mushroom soup. Highly recommend!!

I arrived here with a few of my coworkers on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was mostly empty except for a few other patrons scattered throughout the restaurant. We were seated promptly and greeted by an eager, talkative, and very nice waiter.
Four of us ordered a bottle of red wine, while one in my group ordered a glass of white wine. She was served red but sent it back. It was an honest mistake. When I ordered the bottle of red wine, the waiter commented that it was an excellent South American wine, much better than the William Hill from California. He seemed very knowledgeable. A few minutes later, he came back and stated that the restaurant was out of the South American wine and he suggested the William Hill which he had previously bad mouthed. It seemed paradoxical, but we accepted the William Hill.
The William Hill was brought out to us. The waiter accidentally dropped William Hill on one of the wine glasses on the table. The wine glass shattered but the bottle was fine. He replaced the wine glass and cleaned up the glass promptly. He apologized profusely for another honest mistake.
One of the wine glasses served had lipstick on it from a previous patron. I would have expected a restaurant with such an extensive and distinct wine list to have cleaned and scrutinized the wine glasses before serving them.
One of my coworkers was vegan and she was the one who recommended we attend Bridge Road Bistro. The waiter made his vegan recommendation, a fried chickpea plate. Me and another co-worker ordered steak (I got the filet, he ordered the ribeye), while another ordered the pork chop and another the salmon.
The vegan dish was well enjoyed. The salmon and pork chop were each said to be delicious. However, me and my coworker were disappointed in the steaks. We both ordered our steaks medium rare and the steaks were cooked to the ordered temperature. They lacked flavor and didn't seem to be of a quality grade meat worth paying $40. I've made better steaks at home and not paid nearly the price I paid at Bridge Road Bistro.
Overall, my experience was okay. There were many honest mistakes that were had, but they combined to be something I would expect in a play. Further, the lack of flavor of the steak left much to be desired.

Our food was most excellent. Nice atmosphere and great service. The French onion soup here is a must try.

BRB never disappoints. The house made chips w/ blue cheese, scallions (bacon if you want) have just the right balance of crispy & chewy. The Asian salad w/ mixed greens, fried tofu, mandarin oranges, tomatoes is a palate pleasing taste for late summer. The crab cake which has more crab than filler, was perfectly, lightly seasoned & allowed the full flavor of the lump crab to come though. Try this restaurant if you are in the area. Good restaurant in an eclectic mountain setting.

kept seeing similar iterations of menus all over town until I saw Bridge Road Bistro website menus. .. I had reservations on the downtown side of the bridge for 730p .. no res needed so went early to the Bridge Road Bistro walked in, sat down, called to cancel dt res... enjoyed two unique presentations during my dinner meal both soooo good. please, never remove the stuffed local banana peppers from the aptzr line up!
Ferdinand Sorongon
Great customer service, Pork carnitas taco is dry, spinach dip appetizer has a different taste than usual, asparagus is tough, unevenly cooked.
Daniel Houghton
The food was fantastic and service was excellent. Only disapointinng part was the ambiance of this establishment. From the menu and the name I was expecting a bistro atmosphere but instead it was a large dining area with large booths through out. Luckily that didn't take away from the meal.
Cj Pritt
First time eating there.. The food was good and the atmosphere was good... Service was little slow at first had to wait for a little bit to get ours drinks..
But the Manger came to our table to apologize for the wait and said that he was sorry and ask of he could get us dessert or something.. But over all a good place to go.
Marlene Price
Food is always delicious and the service was great. Thanks Bridge Road Bistro for a awesome dining experience.
Gabby Goodreau
Owner was very nice and took amazing care of me and my group. The food is absolutely amazing as well! Perfect place to go for a family lunch or family dinner!
Rob O'Connor
Delicious food, and a really appealing atmosphere are the characteristics of this restaurant conveniently located in the South Hills neighborhood.
I especially like the pork tenderloin, and the home made potato chips. And the rolls with butter are amazing!
Justin Kraynie
The food and the service were both excellent, but I think the prices are a bit high. I have paid more for a meal but the price to quality ratio is slightly off. Not bad though, they are only over reaching by 5 or 6 dollars on most of the entrees my group saw.
Michelle Retort
Expensive, waiter was not personable and seemed irritated he had a party of 15+ people, food was good but rib portions were skimpy, they didnt have our reservations even though they were confirmed the evening prior, over all not worth the money due to service. Maybe use them for a catered event those seem more important than restaurant business.
Anthony Benton
Try this spot tucked right out of city view. Highly recommend.

Amazing food and service. Try Myra’s carrot cake. And they kept the kitchen open for us!

LIKE A CHURCH EXPERIENCE! NYC, Nantucket/Martha's Vinyard, SoBe, Los Olas Blvd/Worth Ave... And now The Bridge Road Bistro in little Charleston, WV.. One visit & is now in my top ten eateries within my 52 yrs. Even GREAT live music, you feel like your sent back to the age of Art Deco 'Bistros' when the bottom line was great taste, great ambiance and great service. The best Shrimp Cocktail EVER! (large and clean) Had Wedge Salad, Thai Lettuce Wraps Flatbreads, Stuffed Banana Pepper.. Couldn't eat anymore, but we wanted to. The prices are akin to processed chain, so called restaurants, yet you receive the product and service you would find at The Savoy London Hotel or The Paris Ritz. Our attendant (Server) 'Jana' was the best and well put together, as in starched looking uniform and clean in appearance (Which seems can be a stretch to find these days). The owner Sandy was a gem and because I have owned a few restaurants, as well as my parents, you can tell her heart is in it, that she ENJOYS walking through the doors. I dare you to find a ball of dust in this place. I LOVE THIS PLACE.!
*I read some of the past reviews, like Mr. Bryce Johnson.. As a foodie, an ex owner of a few restaurants and have lived in many places known for their cuisine, let me say that from what I personally experienced and from others photos posted, there was personally and it seems from the pics there was no 'frozen' items (And YES.. I can spot frozen food from photos, if you can't you should never be in the restaurant business) but even though we all are entitled to our experience, I would HAVE to assume, with an apology, that some of these unsatisfied guests had 'other' negative issues going on around them (or unfortunately had very little eyesight, if any and/or were born without taste buds. I don't expect everyone to be a super taster ((Yes, that is a medically scientific thing which I have)) But some of these reviews reaked of 'other' circumstances. I hope I have not crossed a line, however, like I said, I'm a Foodie and eating out is my drug of choice and where I happily choose to spend my money. My apology to the owner and staff of this place if it feels I have stepped on one's toes or perhaps it may seem I have an 'agenda', which I don't. I even expressed the few minor things I thought could be improved on with the owner, so I'm no 'Kiss A**'... I just found a few of these posts 'suspect' and I'm not sure that some people realize that one star or post can make or break someone's dream of owning and running ANY business, not just this type. Anyway, thats my two cents plus a Smith-Corona Typewriter, a winged back chair, a kitchen sink, a 1987 Hyundai Eclipse,.... 😂😂
3-15-19 "Stopped by again, was over the moon to find they offered Cobb Salad (A REAL One) on the lunch menu. WAS HUGE, I think the cheese was Bleu d'Auvergne (one of the best) we also got Lamb Burger👌. 'Elle' attended to us, SHE WAS SO MUCH FUN! Thanks yet again🥇🍽️

Just traveling and by chance found the restaurant. We had the filets with mac&cheese and it was awesome! Great service from Mark.

*NOTE: Though I have visited this eatery several times since moving here Nov. of 2019,I have only spoken with the owner & mgt no more than three times & would like to disclose that I have no "Ulterior Motive" for the following statement. My reasoning is that I have owned a few eateries & I'm simply a "Foodie". Since you cant post multiple reviews under your username, I will do so under this alternate Google Acct.
TO THOSE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED A LESS THAN PERFECT EXPERIENCE (HERE OR ANY OTHER RESTAURANT) : "Social media is everything now days, some of" US" (I'm now 53) are not used to this, nor do you understand that reviews can make or break a business, & if truly is so terrible, then so be it (Especially when the complaints are cleanliness and health issues, WHICH I HAVE NOT SEEN ONE REVIEW OF THAT NATURE HERE). But given the impact of reviews on social media, let me just suggest this... When I had my restaurants (When social media didn't exist), I explained then, like now... Walking out of the restaurant when dissatisfied WITHOUT INFORMING MGT OR OWNER (Always ask for MGT, not server, if not avail, call back later), then giving a bad review (Or bad-mouthing in general) does NOTHING to help your experience and if the owner doesn't happen to know of your review (Clearly they check & respond here "Good for them") But overall, unless you mention it AT THE TIME, It rarely rectifies issues & you gain NOTHING, and please don't "Stiff" the server as some sort of punishment, because if you do, they basically pay for part of your meal as they do not earn minimum wage & must report taxes based on sales. When you're not happy, PLEASE, ask for a Mgr right then. If uncomfortable, excuse yourself from your table & speak elsewhere. Who knows, you may get a discount, a glass of wine or if it's an owner/Mgr that truly cares, you will at least get an apology & an offer to make it right with an invitation personally to come back for another try. If you're part of the community the eatery is located, don't you want your area to thrive? Who wants restaurants or any business, to constantly close and open. It can eventually hurt even YOUR OWN property value. It's no secret that so called, "Art and/or Foodie" Communities have higher property values. So, please try & voice your dissatisfaction at the time of the visit to the appropriate person. 99% it will be an advantage for YOU & almost always is what makes businesses of this nature improve & thrive. Especially food & beverage. Would you want your neighbors reviewing you having a "Bad Day" or accusing you of something without you knowing or confronting you first? Of course not and neighbors aren't your livelyhood, dependant on making a living. PLUS, Thriving & well run (and reviewed) restaurants employs in your community! Use negative reviews as a last resort, give them a chance to correct, we all have hiccups, but usually we aren't rated on them for the world to see FOREVER!
Hunter.
PS: After reading most reviews, I noticed a pattern. When restaurants use local farms, the cost are extremely higher. Large farms can sell products (Meat and poultry in this case) cheaper because their products are pumped with tons of fillers, GMOs, bred & housed often in inhumane ways, all to make their profit on volume, not quality. Also, because local vendors are not some Orwellian mass production of almost artificial product, opposed to a few, real, living animal, the consistency often changes, with even weather. But at least you're eating something real, not of a Sci-Fi movie AND you're keeping your money LOCAL. Did you know that most of the higher grade meats produced at large farms in the U.S. are not sold to us? but shipped to other parts of the world, as they get a higher price to ship out instead to offer better quality locally! REAL, NATURAL MEAT & POULTRY CAN BE UNPREDICTABLE,they are free ranged & diverse. If you don't care or want assembly line CHEAP pieces of meat, perhaps an all you can eat or "Chain" location would invoke a review more akin to your expectations. With all due respect.

The Bistro is the best all around fine dining experience in Charleston. It edges out Laury's and beats the Chop House out by a pretty wide margin.

First time visiting the bistro. We both had prime rib with mashed potatoes and green beans. The prime rib was melt in your mouth delicious, the mashed potatoes were creamy goodness and the green beans the right amount of crunch. Mark our waiter was very friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely visit again.

Bridge Road Bistro is an amazing restaurant in the South Hills area of Charleston. Whether you dine in or get curbside take-out, the food is always consistent and delicious. The management cares about the customer experience and they're there to help if an issue needs addressed. I recommend Bridge Road Bistro to anyone looking for a nice dinner experience!

Second time eating here. The first was pretty good ( 1 yr ago) and I refrained from a review then. Recently I expected the same quality as last year; however, it was a let down. Ordered a Mule and I'm not sure what I got but it was not a Mule. The entree was just a watered down mess. One saving grace... those chips were pretty damn good. Sorry Bridge Rd., I assumed consistency but received inconsistency.

Wow, when I walked into this establishment I thought, “I guess this is just another ordinary corner market” but BOY WAS I WRONG. I have fallen in love with their selection of various veggies, and the service is phenomenal. I would give 10 stars, but they only gave me 5. I highly recommend!
