Everything was good Ashley ( our server) did great with the service. Did have to wait abt 20 mins for table but on a friday night around 6 pm that's understandable. Couple people sitting at the bar was a "little" loud but again they were at the bar.

I can’t speak for inside the restaurant, but I order to go and car side quite a bit and they always have my food fresh, correctly made, and the car side employees are very polite and kind! Plus their time estimates through the app are pretty accurate - I’ve never had to wait too long to get my order. I appreciate the good service.

Food was good. Service mediocre. Quesadillas were good. Neighborhood Beef Nachos were really good. Although I found an eyelash in my salad and my wife grabbed and tossed it before I could show the waitress. For the most part. It's better than McDonald's lol.

Had the endless apps and fires. The shrimp was a tad bit overcooked. Honey BBQ winglets were a touch overdone as well. Service was awesome.

Steaks were cooked properly, vegetables were great. We ordered 2 bar drinks. The shark bowl and Captain Bahama drink. The captain drink was great and the shark bowl was good however it was missing the gummy described for the drink. Staff were patient and friendly. Overall good restaurant and was clean. Nothing really stood out to warrant a 5 star.

Owner is friendly and service is fast. Nice applebees and good atmosphere. The bartender, Nelson Crosby, is extremely friendly and gives amazing service even when he gets slammed. He makes really good drinks at a fast pace. I highly recommend him! I will come back just because of his customer service!!

The cook and waitress need to learn the difference between Rare and medium Rare. Medium Rare is warm pink in the middle. Not purple ,ice cold and need a very sharp knife to cut it.

I had placed an order of $70+ with a birthday gift card and during the span of that order and leaving to pick it up I had a family medical emergency. I had to call and cancel my order and the manager, Cedric was tremendously understanding and kind. More managers need to be recognized who have the compassion for customers and I'm certain his staff. He was wonderful and helped with the refund and I had a new order I picked up today. The food was absolutely delicious and prepared wonderfully, I highly recommend this Applebee's for the delicious food as well as the kind staff! Thank you Cedric!!

The food was decent. I know they aren't known to be a steak restaurant but I got the bourbon street steak, and it was kinda tough. Overcooked. I got it at a different location a few weeks ago and it cut like butter. The waitress acted like she couldn't really be bothered with anything or any questions we had.

Great place. Atmosphere is of course that of a bar but still nice. If you want a steak, just a heads up it's cooked with a gas grill. My favorite part of our meal was the nachos appetizer. We had cheese sticks and they were good. Burgers are good too only a tad bit dry though.

We were in town for a funeral and stopped in for lunch before checking in to the hotel. The staff was polite and friendly. The food was delicious. My sister ordered the wonton tacos. Wonton tacos??? I had NEVER heard of them before. They looked delicious and I did get a bite of one, lol and the slaw on them with the chicken and ginger was fabulous. Our server was friendly, and she got swamped by other tables and still checked in on us and had a smile on her face. Good food, nice staff and I would go back again. I am not a huge fan of Chain restaurants. I prefer to support the local mom and pop places. This particular Applebees was a pleasant experience.

The waitress was very nice, she was very friendly and didn't have to ask for refills. The food was excellent and made presentable. Burgers were grilled to perfection and the Asian chilli boneless wings were delicious. Great service for the price. We will definitely be back soon.

I had opted to have my Birthday dinner from here this evening. My parent's meals and my meal was PHENOMENAL!!! My Dad had the Rins which looked AMAZING!! He really loved them, he said they were fall off the bone tender, flavorful and DELISH!!! He loved the fries as well!! My Mom and myself had the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp. Big flavorful and tender chicken breast very well seasoned along with tasty Shrimp. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were AMAZING and flavorful as well!! All 3 meals was still hot when got them home. We have been eating at Applebee's for about 5years now and they've always been consistent!!!

This was an amazing dining experience! The food was fresh and delicious. The value was astonishing! Most of all, Sarah B. was the best server I think we have ever had an ANY restaurant! She was fabulous! We have only eaten there once or twice, but we will go back due to her efforts. She was friendly and attentive and had such a wonderful smile. She was a pleasure! The food and drinks were really good and so was the service, though it was slower due to a lack of waitstaff. They really need some more people here because it is a popular place for good reason. I tried the Wonton Taco appetizer and wanted a whole new round for an entree! Asian chicken with coleslaw and lime inside a light, cripsy wonton. Who knew?

Food was on point & the friendly staff was greatly appreciated. I've had visits previously not be as pleasant. But the last two times everything has been great. I am that person who doesn't like their glass to be empty before being acknowledged or not asking if my food is correct within 3 bites in case it's not it can be corrected timely. That being said I had a great time this visit & will be back.

Off-Grid Mountain Adventures

Food was perfect always a great place to stop when traveling. I got the 2 for 25 meal one for when I was there and another on the road at a rest stop down yonder. Atmosphere was friendly more than enough parking. My server was Ashley P. She was awesome very friendly and polite great Service.

Great atmosphere as always. COVID restrictions really put a damper on the speed of service and seating but this isn't their fault. It seemed the servers were exhausted and lacked quick judgement and decision making. Management needs to give these folks a rest.

Its Applebee's. This place I enjoy myself everytime I go. Last night service the bartender was slow unless is was an Applebee's drink on the menu he was lost. My Wonton tacos were on point yummy. The Nachos were greasy from the beef but overall just OK. Yes I'll b returning to Applebee's can't drop em cause of one not too good experience at the place. Sorry I didn't take any pics forgot once the margaritas starting pouring.

This place is good and could be great at times. It depends on the time frame that you go. The food can be great at times then sometimes not. It's very relaxed atmosphere. Service is ok. Right now as of the last two weeks, they have awesome bartenders. They really know what they are doing.hope they keep the two bartenders there because it makes me want to go back.

I give this place 5 stars mainly for one reason and that is Ashley P. When she is working in the evenings you'll get top notch service. The other waitresses are probably just as good, but ever since we first met her a year ago, we always try to get her. Since we go in the evenings there is usually no wait time for a table unless it's a holiday. Food is always correctly prepared or they will quickly correct it. If it's your birthday you'll get a free brownie bite and a "surprise". With TVs all around, you can catch whatever sports is on while you eat, or wait for your meal.

Love this Applebee's. Always great food and great service. The other Applebee's (Trace Fork/ Dudley Farms/ Corridor G) on the other hand, they might as well shut that place down or get a change of management! I went there before I came to this Applebee's. It was nearly dead inside and I was seated, but couldn't get any service. I sat there for 10 minutes before getting annoyed enough to leave, and come to the better Applebee's.

Always a great experience when my family meet up for Applebee's. Good atmosphere. Nice and laid back, the waiters and staff are always on their A game, and very friendly. It's always clean even the bathrooms. They have a great selection of food combinations for everyone, Appetizers are plenty to share reasonable prices. Wait staff is good. Kept drinks flowing. Plates are hot coming to the table, may want to watch that. I have kitchen hands and a couple were a bit much for me. Food was ok up to my burger. It was DEAD. BURNT ON ONE SIDE. Bacon was limp and the cheese wasnt melted??? How do you have one half of the patty burned and it not be hot enough fpr the cheese to melt??? Some serious concerns there. Had to send raw broccoli back to be steamed for my son. Otherwise as expected for Applebee's.

We accidentally decided to have a family outing during the WVU football season opener. There was one waitress actually working and the rest of the staff was standing around watching the game. The noise was measuring consistently at 100db. When something good or bad happened in the game it spiked to ear damage levels. They only messed up two of our orders.

***(Starts the direct Applebees review) Okay, so this is going to be a little detailed...First, Im not saying Im an expert or I feel like the 'Food Police', but I have owned two restaurants in my life and guess you could call me a 'Foodie', I have loved places that are Michelin Five Star/James Beard,etc from Montreal to Nantucket to NYC to Bucks County, Buckhead, SoBe, The Fla Keys, WeHo, Los Angeles, New Orleans, etc etc. My usual thing to order is a center cut piece of meat, pref. Filet or nice regular Sirloin Cut and Lobster Tail. *** Anyway, Ive oddly enough been to an Applebees 4 times in the past ten days. 3 times at this location and once in Quarter G? (New to area, South Charleston?..next to Jaguar dealer) But ALL 4 times I have ordered their "2 for $20/$25" . For $25 we have always chose the two Caesar Salads (Which is huge but would ask for less opposed to more dressing) instead of the ONE APP TO SHARE option. We then chose the Center Cut Sirloin (Bottom right of visual grid on menu). Its 6oz but we always pay the upcharge of $2.50 for an 8oz and is worth it. They have all been true center cuts (Not glued like some places...and yes, thats a thing now, look it up) I have asked for medium and got exactly medium each time. I always ask for drawn (melted) butter and several lemon wedges and like to sprinkle or dip my cuts into it. All four times I could have not needed a knife!...that is saying something! The taste was like any high end steak house that has cured the meat overnight. We usually get the Garlic Green Beans, which have been cooked to perfection, soft outside and firm/snap like inside and the loaded mashed or baked potato, I prefer the mashed since it has pieces of skin in it, and they use real products, not powdered or condensed.You get a ton of potatoes if you get mashed. This meal is worth of say, Hemingways at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, a favorite hang out of mine in Central Florida, but without the $55 price each. (I am not complaining, as its one of my best resorts to relax and be taken care of). One thing I have to say. When places discount their products to much or you happen to use a BoGo coupon for your visit, please remember the servers still do the same work as if you paid full price, so please tip them accordingly to what the meal SHOULD have been without the discount. Its just not right to do it any other way, if you cant afford a few extra dollars, then you shouldnt be eating out, stay home. Now if the service is terrible, ...please let the manager/owner know, like I always said when I had my eateries... walking out without leaving a proper gratuity does not let me, as the owner or manager know what we did wrong, if you feel someone doesnt deserve a tip, please let the manager know as well. I always leave AT LEAST 20% based on printed prices. For you penny pinchers out their, remember, servers do not get minimum wage, they get much less and if you leave no tip at all or very little, they actually have to pay out a certain amount for your meal, they pay YOU to eat. So please, mention any problems first with the server and if they are daft or have an attitude, then ask for a manager or even call and speak to the owner on a Tuesday or later, most places are dark on Mondays, except most chains. I hope this helped someone, take care. Remember the butter and lemon!

We ordered food from there tonight thru Doordash and there was a mix up. Thru no avail I couldn't reach Doordash and Applebees was closing soon. I called Applebees and the manager on duty found out our order was still sitting there but he couldn't reach Doordash either. I told him we just lived a a couple of blocks but it was too cold to walk up. So a very sweet young lady that was on her way home from working there was kind enough to drop our food off to us. They really and truly made our night! Please keep in mind that they have been open the entire time this pandemic has been going on. They have been working away from their families to provide meals to stressed out over or under worked families and stayed open. Thank you Applebees in Kanawha City for showing up and making amazing food by the way. As well as going above and beyond for this customer and her very grateful family. We do not have a car so we don't eat out much thank you for being customer service super heros!

Can be expensive. Stick to deals. They promote take out. But, eating in is more appealing. The staff is friendly and attentive. Drinks should be cheaper. I'd probably buy more food.
