Stopped by for a quick snack after craving some mac & cheese for some time. Went for the lobster mac, the cheese itself was good, the lobster was cold (despite everything else being hot) which was odd but it all still tasted pretty good. The amount of lobster in there was decent, but could have done with a touch more macaroni in there. However the portion of fries for $7 was insane, so big that we had to take some home, and perfectly crispy too, so if you're hungry and want to load up on some carbs, I'd definitely recommend going for a side of fries. You can never go wrong with a big side of fries.

For months, many people have told me about this place. I finally decided to make it happen. I ordered the lobster Mac(picture included. YUM!) Let's just say, you need to visit this place! It is well worth it! My friend ordered the lobster roll. With outdoor and indoor seating Our House Bistro is the location to be at!

Came here for the first time and I am extremely glad I choose this place! The restaurant itself is relatively small and can not seat more than 8-9 groups so I would highly recommend making a reservation to ensure you have a spot. I ordered a Margarita from their menu and it was absolutely amazing! Probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The food menu has a looong list of specialty max and cheese. I love the different options available and would have loved to try them all! I order the surf and turf Mac and cheese and it was absolutely delicious! It was perfect and the portion size is definitely enough to feed at least two people if not three! Great restaurant in general. My only complaint is that restaurant door was propped open. It was about 55ish degrees at night so it was VERY cold inside the restaurant. I don’t think anyone took their coat off. It would be really amazing if they were a little more mindful of the weather and close the door whenever temperature is below 65-70 degrees.

This place is really cool!! The lunch boxes took me down memory lane. The menu is dangerous ... in the best way possible!! The drinks are on point. I ordered a crab mac and cheese...it was amazing. Every one of the staff wore the biggest smiles and were very welcoming. This place is a MUST while visiting!!

The food is super good but a bit pricey for the amount you get. The fried pb&j is amazing and they also have great cocktails! This is home cooking so expect to wait for your food longer than other restaurants but it's worth it.

What a great spot to get some comfort food, with a well-curated beer list and cocktail offerings. We started at the bar for a beer and cocktail. Our bartender, Kalani, was so warm and welcoming that we stayed at the bar through dinner. We shared two mac and cheese plates: the Super Cheesy (with 5 cheeses!) and the Southwest off the veg section of the menu. Everything was great from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town!!

May I say!!!! wow delicious! Great service today and some of the best modern pub food in Vermont. This place has the best french fries and the cheddar ale dip and the best tasting pretzel. Great mac and cheese too and so many different kinds. Great Winooski gem.

All I can say is go here, and get anything. From New Orleans I looked at the Cajun poutine and scoffed. Once I read the ingredients I was like ok imma give it a shot. Bruh, bruh it was incredible and had a nice little kick. If Louisiana had poutine that's what it would be.

Quaint and tucked away in a great area of the winooski/burlington metro. Great food and such nice service. Their Poutine gives Canada a run for its money. They have some of the craftiest dishes of mac and cheese as well. Definitely worth a stop in.

We had a party of 10 and everyone loved their food. Several of us tried their award winning clam chowder and it was very good. They have a lot of Mac n Cheese options and one couple split one of those and the chowder. They had a good variety to choose from. The waitress and cooking staff were great!!

Delicious we came in right at open. Got seated instantly. I got the sugar shack Mac. So delicious. My child convinced us into getting dessert after. We got two lava cakes. And Oh man was that some chocolate goodness. Will be back

Very nice small comfort food place. Ordered the lobster and BBQ mac which were divine and soul filling. Ella, our server, was great and very attentive! Only downside was the leftovers we forgot on the table! We'll just have to come back for more!

Sadly, underwhelming. The Mac n cheeses ordered were good, but our other entrees were sub-par. Sure a smash-burger is not cooked to temp, but hockey-puck well done is too done. Fries were yum! Having been here since it's inception, it's noticeable that it's not what it used to be. Could have been a rough night. Service was very slow. We were in on a Monday. For a small dining room and 3 staff on in front of house, the length of time to wait for drinks was much longer than expected, and the staff's morale/personalities seemed like they could really care less. Super bummed. I hope they turn it around. I know covid has brought on some tough times for the area. I'll try again in a few months, maybe. Love the Plattsburgh location!

Great food but not good service. Def will order takeout going forward! Deets: Nothing was bussed off our table except a bowl. Drinks weren't replenished. It took forever to get boxes, then for the check to be picked up and a second box to be delivered. Seems like we got unlucky; two of the three people working were great—watched one service the table next to ours promptly and nicely, and the other saved us at the end with running our check.

Our House is a great local hang out in Winooski. It's small, with a bar and seating inside and out. There is usually a wait. Everyone who works there has been so nice and friendly. We just love visiting for drinks and/or food.

Smaller retro restaurant that specializes in gourmet Mac and cheese. They probably have something for everybody. The base Mac and cheese is super solid. For desert, definitely get the fried PB&J sandwich, it’s wild.

You could easily overlook this amazing spot if you are in a hurry. Make sure to call for a reservation or get on the waiting list. The service was quick as it is a small restaurant and very friendly. Their esthetic is very acentric and funky. The poutine was everything you've ever wanted in a dish, salty fries, gooey cheese and delicious gravy! Try one of their many Mac and cheese dishes they are amazing and filling you will have some to go! Over all a great spot in Winooski.

My daughter suggested Our House for breakfast and she was spot on. We really enjoyed our meals. The server was very pleasant. Our food came out nice and hot. I had delicious French toast with fruit and red bliss home fries; my wife had the grilled cheese and mushrooms with fries which she also liked; my daughter had the waffle and fries which she had plenty left over to go. VT maple syrup on the table and ketchup. The atmosphere was retro with old lunch boxes and records. My wife commented on how nice the place wear and hot beverage cups not being dinky. We can highly suggest having breakfast at Our House.

My original review was 3 stars, but I gave Our House Bistro a second chance. On my second visit I was very impressed by the quality and service. I was able to get the clam chowder and it was near great. The best part though is their mac & cheese. That was amazing. Had the lobster m&c which I return to have. Surprisingly, I am not the biggest lobster fan, but for some reason it sounded good that night. I am so happy I made that choice because weeks later I am still thinking about how good it was. Old Review: I will give it another try, but dissatisfied with the first visit. I wanted the clam chowder but they were out. Not going to ding them for that. I ordered a rueben sandwich with fries. I watched 2 groups of people who came in after me get served their food before I did. When I got my sandwich it was greasy and the fries were lukewarm. The place is known for it's clam chowder and specialty mac -n- cheese. I want to go back and try both. Hopefully, they will improve this review.

Man. When they say "comfort food", they are not kidding. We started with the clam chowder and frickles(fried pickles). Both were great. We then ordered the crab rangoon mac and the chicken parmesan mac and cheese. Both were very flavorful and filling. We bowed out of the mac and cheese before finishing so we could have the deep fried ice cream with oreo crust and strawberry coulis. Best dessert I have ever had. I have zero complaints about Our House Bistro.

Left a lot to be desired. The service was top notch and the hostess was kind and accommodating. The ahi tuna & wontons appetizer was unique, looked great and tasted delicious. However, the mac and cheese (which is the primary reason I went here) did not meet expectations. I ordered the super cheesy mac and the first time it came out it was undercooked and still had plenty of unmelted shredded cheese. Fortunately they took it back and cooked it further, but when I actually tasted it it was surprisingly bland. For a place to have such a big mac and cheese menu and not be able to deliver on it is kind of disappointing.

Service was prompt and the food was good. We were here for Saturday brunch. I got the pulled pork sandwich with the lemon parmesan fries. The sandwich was just ok and the fries were pretty good. We also got an order of the maple bourbon wings with a side of their spiciest sauce (pain something, I forgot the name) since my wife can't handle anything too spicy. I wish we had come here for dinner to try some of their famed Mac and cheese.

What can I say, Our House Bristo is great! It's a small area, but great, super friendly staff. I love the retro motif, very fun There food is delicious, worth every cent, and they do not hold back on any of the ingredients. It may seem expensive, but the portion sizes are equivalent to 2 meals or enough to split with a date Pictured is the Caprese Mac and Cheese 🤤 So good 💖

Food was out of this world. Service for beverages were fast, the kitchen was extremely slow. Verdict is still out if the food was worth the wait. Definitely a lot of geese in the mac and cheese. We had the poutine mac and the lunch special which was soup and a small crock of mac.

Delicious food, fresh cocktails and great service! We ordered the house margarita and a blueberry vodka lemonade. Best blueberry lemonade in Vermont! Made with blueberry purée instead of blue curaco and the tase is superb. The house margarita was also great, not full of sugar like other places. We ordered the Cesar salad with shrimp and the Sugar Shack Mac and Cheese to share. Definitely enough for two, the Mac and Cheese was dangerously delicious and the shrimp was plump and juicy! We will definitely be back. Had to give 4 stars because they have a fly problem. Not enough to ruin lunch just enough to be a nuisance.

Great service and pretty exceptional food. Have been coming here for several years. Menu includes many "farm to table" options with mac & cheese and grilled cheese sandwiches as standouts. You can customize these to include a wide variety of toppings. Grilled cheese includes some tomato soup for dipping! Menu includes rotating specials and some exceptional sandwiches. Also poutine, which, while frequently encountered, is rarely great. At Our House, they've really mastered it. Beer, wine, and cocktails are available--draft options are good & local, but somewhat limited. Decor is simple, but includes some vinyl examples, and classic lunchboxes. Parking is by the hour per Winooski downtown. Seating is generally adequate with outdoor tables in good weather. A visit to this establishment is well worth it--you won't be disappointed!

GREAT food! The staff was friendly, but just as the other reviews stated it’s an extremely long wait to get drinks, food and the check. This isn’t because the staff doesn’t work hard, our waitress was running around like crazy and having to bartend. Place needs to come up with a better system for serving

The holy temple for Mac n Cheese. It has an enormous choice of recipes and everything seems to taste delicious. Will get there again for sure. Only drawback, the place is small, better to call ahead and be prepared to be close to people. But it worth this ;)

Awesome place to eat, there is a wide variety of food (though most are variations on Mac & Cheese) on the menu. I had the Poutaine as a starter (awesome flavors) and then had a Chicken pot pie which I really couldn't even finish. The waiting staff were friendly and playful, the only thing keeping me from 5 stars on this review was the handful of flies that must have wandered in throughout the day and were buzzing around trying to get out. Serves me right for sitting by the door and not outside.

The food is always amazing! I love their variety. But, eating here is always a 1.5-2 hour ordeal. It takes 20-30 mins for them to take our order and about an hour wait for food on a non busy day. Then the wait for the check and the server to run the card takes another 30 mins. I wish I could come here more often because the food is amazing, but I don’t have time to have a 2 hour lunch.

I love this place. I always have. But coming back I am giving a 4 star because they went away from their amazing sweet potato fries which is the whole reason I come! I am beyond dissapointed that they went away from the large hand cut delicious fries to ordinary normal fries...otherwise it would be a 5 star.

The wait time for the food was excessive. From the hostess to the server, no one seemed to have ANY pep in their step. We waited a half hour after being seated to have our order taken, and by the time we got our food and ate, it was a 2 hour event. Granted we did show up during a busy lunch time, but the wait was terrible. A table that was seated after us, actually left after waiting probably 20 minutes, and the staff didn't even seem to notice. HOWEVER, the food was AMAZING. The mac and cheese selection is great, the portions are huge and the taste is spectacular. It would have been a 5 star review if the service had been better. You will not be disappointed with the food!! Hopefully we just caught them on a bad/short staffed day. If I were ever in the area again, I would order take out from there for sure!

Super location, extremely quick service, and best mac 'n cheese around. I highly recommend the shrimp scampi mac 'n cheese if you are a shrimp lover. There was tons of tasty shrimp in the dish - most restaurants really skimp with the seafood but not this place. The drink options are also wonderful - very creative and delicious. Excellent restaurant all around.

Wait staff was friendly and helpful. There was a small mistake with my order, but the helpful staff corrected it quickly and efficiently. I had the Sugar Shack mac and cheese. The portion was large and it was very filling. Also, the flavor meld was excellent, I really enjoyed it. This was an overall positive experience for a first time trial. I believe we'll be going back again.

Place has great clam chowder and Mac n cheese...so many different kinds and huge portions. The place is decorated with vintage lunch boxes and vinyl. Super fun!

The food portions were better than average in size and in quality. We enjoyed our meals. I took two stars off for two reasons. I ordered two items for my meal, and they happened to be out of both of the items I ordered. One was even listed on the specials board. They might consider advising patrons of any shortages before selections are made. The interior of the restaurant is filled with album covers and lunch boxes, many with fun cultural references to the 1960s and 1970s. These provided plenty of fun nostalgic references for our group, as these referred to our formative years. Ironic then that they make no effort to serve a similar patron with hard copy menus with large readable print. The recent trend of insisting on QR code menus means that if the technology in your pocket does not happen to support this, or if you prefer (as I do) to hold a printed menu, you may find yourself struggling to make a food selection, as the small print on the cell phone or on their pitifully small menus is unforgiving to the age of the eyes that can remember who Hong Kong Phooey was. Would it be so hard to print up a few large print menus? Serve the customer, whatever their abilities or shortcomings may be.

This place is AMAZING. Everything I’ve had here, maybe 4 or 5 diff dishes, have been incredible, and my girlfriend and I just got what we both said was the best burger ever. The staff is very polite and welcoming, and they were super nice when we had to send the first burger back (my gf’s pregnant and couldn’t have some of the things on the burger she got - only tiny problem we had and it was for sure partially our fault for not being more clear) which we both didn’t wanna have to do, but the young server was super nice about it. If you love mac’n’cheese, burgers, pretty much anything you’ll love it here.

A friend of mine and I first tried some of the food at the Mac and cheese fest and in our opinion it was definitely some of the best. As such we needed more. We ended up driving almost three hours to get there just to try some of there other Mac and cheeses, and let me tell you, it was worth it. This place is simply amazing. The decor is also pretty great. Will definitely be making the drive again and I recommend it to everyone.

Big greasey portions of delicious mac and cheese and other comfort/junk food favorites. Good salads and sandwiches if you're looking for something lighter, although let's be honest, you come here for the 20 different mac and cheeses. Excellent cocktail selection. Outdoor seating available so you can watch all the near-accidents in the Winooski circle. Staff is friendly but can be a little slow during busy periods (but that's true anywhere).

I can't say how great everything was. We tried 3 Mac and cheese dinners. And they had more to choose from, but the seasonal pumpkin one was wild. my partner and I had different feelings on it but if you're not scared to try something new, it's a good start. The wonton nachos were great. Not sure the actual name of the chips but that's what they called them at another place. On another note. The chowder was freaking good, like well balanced in ever department. I need more. I don't usually give a place alot of text unless I'm excited about it. Or found one thing I love there. If it's a 5 star from me go try it. And if it's a 5 star with a paragraph. You need this.

I went there with my girlfriends on a whim. The customer service was great and the food was greater. It's a great price for the quality of food you get along with the amount. I highly recommend. We got the crab mac and cheese, lobster mac and cheese, jambalaya mac and cheese, Irish spring rolls, and cheese curds.

My boyfriend and I were visiting from CT and we thought this place looked awesome. They were able to “squeeze us in” which was very nice of them, they accepted our baby Frenchie, and the nachos were great. For our drinks, I ordered the lemon basil margarita. It came out and it was pink colored... I didn’t think anything of it because it was really good. I asked for one more. My boyfriend and I were looking closer at the menu and saw there was also a “strawberry basil vodka lemonade” for $10. My drink (that I ordered) was $11. We got the check and saw we were charged for 2 “lemon basil margaritas”. We asked the waitress if my drink was the strawberry lemonade or the lemon basil. She said it was clearly the strawberry and told us she would make the change on the receipt. We get the receipt back and saw she changed the drinks to the strawberry lemonades but still charged us the $11 per drink. What was REALLY odd was both my drinks had salt on the rim.... We then looked deeper in the bill and saw she charged my boyfriends buffalo Mac and cheese a dollar more. The service wasn’t the best... they seemed short staffed but the mess up on the charges and the drinks were really strange. Overall, the atmosphere was cool but the service was not the best.

OMG!! This their food is absolutely the BEST comfort food I've ever had!! Only 29 different Mac and Cheese dishes to choose from :) I especially like the Super Cheesy Mac & Cheese. My Mom loved the Chicken Pie Mac & Cheese and I can't say enough about Poutine appetizer!! My Niece loves this place too - popular with College students of course. The decor is fun and whimsical with our favorite old time lunch boxes. If you need to get your comfort food on - this is the place to go!!

What a fun, quirky place! The decor was unique. We had the mac and cheese w/a Caesar Salad and the wings. The wings were average. The mac and cheese was excellent and the portions were large. Will definitely be back to try their Clam Chowder that they brag about :)

Amazing service first and foremost! Brittany was our server today, and she really took great care of us. Friendly and accommodating, Brittany and the kitchen staff really met all of our late lunch needs. The food was yummy as always and might I recommend you end your meal with the fried PB&J, it was childhood on crack. Can't wait to come back!!!

Stopped in here for the first time with my parents and enjoyed some warm and filling Mac&Cheese. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff make this a great place to stop in on a cool day. They hadn't updated the seasonal items on the menu, which was a bit of let down when Mom couldn't order the pumpkin/squash option, but all in all it was a good experience.

I'm visiting some of my good friends in Winooski, Vermont for a few days. So upon announcing that I had a mac and cheese craving on Sunday night after hiking Elnore Mountain generally discussing the nuances of Vermont cheeses, they wisely suggested that we go to Our House because it has an extensive list of mac options and is close by. They warned me to be patient, as there is often a long wait to be seated due to its popularity and service can also be slower than average. It took us about 15 minutes to put our names in, and it took about 40 minutes to get seated (though we had a lovely drink at Mule Bar). We did have to approach the hostess about seating us, so I'm curious as to whether she may have forgotten that we were in line. All that said, our waitress was attentive, pleasant, and lovely. While it took some time for the food to arrive, I thoroughly enjoyed my lobster mac, which had some pretty solid lobster chunks. This a personal preference, but I wish it were a bit crispier (maybe up the bread crumb game). If the don't do this already, maybe they could ask for how crispiness the customer wants it and offer more crispy for an extra fee? My friends and I are truly curious - who gets the traditional mac at Our House? While people should do what they want, because we all recommend, and hope, that folks branch out and explore the literal dozens of mac and cheese options on the menu. I would definitely go back and recommend that others do the same, but I also suggest that you build in plenty of time for all stages of the process.

Such a cute place. If your macaroni and cheese lover this is the place for you they have about 17 different macaronis. They also have many other Andres from octopus to hamburgers. Staff was outgoing and friendly. Prices are fairly high but the food is definitely worth it my only complaint is that they have limited seating that place man fills up fast!

Must try their mac and cheese options! Must! A billion mac and cheese options for every taste bud. My favorite is the chicken pot pie mac and cheese. It is literally a home made pot pie with delicious home made mac and cheese inside. yummmmmmmmmm! I end up making 3 meals of it. Great food. Great service. The only reason I give 4 and not 5 stars is the place is a little small, and if you go when they are peaking in business you will have a wait for the food. But they have good beer to drink while you wait!

So, maybe I should have just ordered one of the famed versions of mac n cheese. I like mac n cheese. I, however, ordered the chicken pot pie. It was personal sized (although large), but the crust wasn't cooked all the way through, so the crispy flaky experience I was hoping for was sadly diminished. The chunks of chicken were small. The rosemary flavor was strong - which is a good thing for me, since I like rosemary. It was really runny. Just not what I was hoping for. The atmosphere was fun, it was busy (I sat at the counter so I didn't have to wait), and service was as attentive as it could be given the business level that evening.

We've gone to Our House for Lunch and have been very satisfied - great fish chowder, menu items you usually don't see on most menus. We decided to go for breakfast yesterday and were blown away. The corned beef and sweet potato hash was the best breakfast my husband has ever eaten out. The Hungry Man will feed two people. Best Bloody Marys and Fiona was our server and she was great. If you are in the area this is a great place to eat any time, breakfast, lunch or dinner.

My wife had the spinach artichoke dip with big savory chunks of artichoke and creamy vermont cheese. This place is our new go to spot. The regular mac n cheese is great, we have never had a bad dish there. The breakfast is to die for (seriously though, heart attack worthy). I'm a local in the area and I usually like our house as there meals are tasty and quite filling. Unfortunately, there salads are a different story. First issue is they don't have any pricing online, so how is a customer supposed to budget for a take out order unless they call and ask for the price of all the options? Second, I ordered the salad with chicken, and upon getting it, I was surprised by the 4 dollar up charge for a few pieces of chicken and then surprised by the small portion size of the meal. 15 dollars for a small spinach salad and a few pieces of chicken, seems a bit steep to me.

Their thing is "twisted comfort food" so it's all rich, delicious, heavy foods. There are definitely lighter options. I love their tomato basil soup and grilled cheese. The mac n' cheese is there signature dish and you can have it literally any way you like. I prefer to get pick up orders of mac n' cheese and then I've got dinner for that night plus the next 2 or 3 days. Huge portions! Brunch on the weekend is also really yummy, and I highly recommend it. It's a pretty small spot so you might have to wait a few minutes for a table to clear up but no where near as long a wait if you went to the nearby Sneakers.

So, so good. I've been twice and will be back every time I'm in Winooski. The number of creative mac and cheeses they serve is almost overwhelming and they're all (that I've tried) amazing. It is on the pricier side but there is more than enough in a serving so you can enjoy the second half as a late night snack or a meal the next day. A few decent local options for draft beer and cider, too. Tip: add an egg to your mac and cheese.

If I was renting that space I would put the rent in an escrow account until the landlord put in a front door system for the colder months. We felt like we were sitting in an arctic blast zone.

It was fast. I ordered the grilled cheese and had avocado and buffalo chicken added to it. It came with tomato basil soup and a lot of fries. The grilled sandwich was super delicious. The fries and soup were so hot, it took a few minutes to get to them. I liked dipping or scooping the soup onto the sandwich, but the soup by itself was incredibly salty. I give four not five only because of the too-serious service and too much salt, but I will certainly go again!

The food is great. It's the only reason I've kept coming back for years. The service, however, never ceases to leave a bad taste in my mouth. Every time I go there my waitress is rude. Call me crazy, but if I'm leaving a tip I expect you to at least smile and try to make my experience pleasant. Is that too much to ask? Each time the waitress brings out my food without a word and then shoots off without asking if I need anything. I never, EVER get a check-back (waitress coming back to see if everything is OK). I always have my daughter with me and they don't even acknowledge her existence, speaking to her through me instead. What, are you scared of kids? For a place with lunch boxes all over the walls you could at least say hi to her, she doesn't bite, I swear. My advice? Improve your service. Smile. Act like you're actually happy to have a customer.

We went to Our House Bistro aka the Mac & Cheese restaurant. I got the Chicken Pot Pie Mac, Mariah got the Gouda and Brisket Mac, Andrew got the Reuben Mac, and Aiden got the Crab Mac. I thought my Chicken Pot Pie Mac was amazing. Everyone loved their food except Aiden. His Crab Mac was extremely fishy tasting and intolerable so he shared mine. I informed the waitress who was clearing the table when she asked but the restaurant did not offer any substitution or comp for the meal. For 4 waters, 4 Mac & Cheeses and a pretzel appetizer it was $85...good food for the most part and nice staff but def not worth that price.

I have to admit this was some of the best comfort food we had the quality and presentation was very good and you couldn’t beat the price for the portions you got. I used to come here all the time but moved away. I was recently back in the area and went to try it again. The food was decent, but the restaurant layout is terrible in the winter because the door opens straight into the booth area. The waitress was quick and careless ,asking if anyone in the party wanted a drink and before everyone could respond was gone. We had a peanut allergy in the group and because they fry their peanut treats in the same fryer as their other items we had to avoid those. When the food came one of the items was fried and the waitress's response was "oh I didn't realize you had the food allergy". General carelessness. All in all the food was satisfactory but the cold air and wait staff was a disappointment to my previous experiences.

I mean, it's the only place around here that is strictly just a mac & cheese place. It's good, but I wouldn't say it's out of this world. Its honestly kinda way overpriced. Also if you aren't dressed in a suit and tye the waitress will assume you cant afford dessert...I had a 100 gift card and asked about dessert and she literally said, "yeah, if you have enough for that" are you kidding me right now? I just payed 25 dollars for some dressed up noodles and cheese, and this is how I'm going to be treated? Definitely wont come back. This is a must-visit restaurant any time we're in the Burlington area. Such delicious mac'n'cheese choices. Always leave stuffed with doggie bags for lunch the next day. Terrific award-winning clam chowder, too. Place is tiny, and parking is what you can find on the street, but a little inconvenience or wait is worth it. Also, bathrooms are comically small.

Their slogan "Twisted Comfort Food" is spot on. Tasty and filling comfort food served in rather small quarters. Friendly staff, but the service was pretty slow. Gimmicky vintage lunch boxes decorate the sills, but if you bring one in that you are willing to part with, you can cop a free mac and cheese (of which there is a whole page from the menu dedicated to, so you'll have options).

The food here is amazing and I love the atmosphere. Reminds me of my favorite places in Austin. Great choices of music, 80's metal lunch box decor and all. I had the sugar shack mac which was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The mac and cheese is served in cast iron dishes so you get that nice burnt cheese dripping down the sides. Save room for dessert, though, because the fried peanut butter and jelly sandwich with warm marshmallow fluff is heavenly. The reason for my low rating is due to our server. She ruined the experience. This is the first time I've been ok with not tipping at all. She forgot we were there for a good 10-15 minutes after we sat down. She forgot our drink order. Then she forgot to put in our dessert order. Then she said she was getting our check like 4 times. Even put the empty plate at the edge of the table and she just kept walking by in her own little world. The thing that really made me angry is that I saw her multiple times in the galley where they prep the condiments and stuff eating people's food before she brought it to them .Not just a fry here and there. I saw her eating fried clams and who knows what else. With her bare hands. Nope. Not acceptable. I would love to go back here but you can bet I'll be getting it to go because I'm not putting up with her as a server again. Ridiculous.

5 or 6 years ago this was a good place, now they are just disappointing. Overpriced. Don't stray from the Mac n cheese you'll regret it. Avoid the cocktails, they are extremely weak. Just so you know Our House slaw is not made with romaine lettuce.

Food was OK. Went in for quick soup and waited aprx 40 mins to be served for just soup, slowest service and I expressed we were in a hurry. Tomato soup is like a pasta sauce very thick (I like ,wife not so much) no liquid in my french onion (more like bread onion) it was good cause I was hungry although not as good as many others I've had. Wife had the pumpkin-squash which was good although tasted like Apple? I'm also a local biz owner and appreciate comments on my Google listing so hopefully they do too.

I've been here several times, a mix of brunch and dinner. The food has always been good, and especially with the breakfast/brunch items, often enough to bring some home for later. The decor is a bit eclectic, not to everyone's taste but unlikely to offend or distract anyone. It is a small space, so as a result, you sometimes feel crammed in and you may wait a bit for a table, even on a weeknight.

Was not a fan of either of our breakfasts this summer. I recall the "eggs benedict” being a tooth breaking toast with some overdone spinach or something and hollandaise that didn't taste like hollandaise. I can't remember what Lenny had gotten but he wasn't very impressed either. We ended up putting our name down at sneakers and going there instead. The staff were nice albeit a bit flakey so I'm not sure when I'll be returning but it will take some raving reviews. They had good drinks...? Lol. Hope they've figured it out :)

This place has infamously slow and bad service. We just sat in there for an hour and 45 minutes and saw our server at two brief moments -- once when she took our order and once when she dropped it off. I always ask myself why I bother to go back, and the answer is because the food is so amazing. Come here if you've got a few hours to kill for a delicious meal and can fend for yourself service-wise.

I went to Our House Bistro last Saturday night, the food was amazing/beer was fabulous! I do have a complaint about the service- I waited over 15 minutes for my server to greet our table & bring us water. When she finally arrived to hour table she was a bit squirrelly & told us she completely forgot the host told her she had a table. ((It was ectreamly slow!)) I noticed the table next to us had a male server that seemed to be struggling as well, it was like neither of them were prepared or stable during our two hour meal. I noticed our waitress kept asking if we wanted to add or subtract anything from our appetizers, entry's & dessert. My family found it to be very annoying, I can see if she was trying to up-sale but she wasn't. I will be going back to Our House Bistro but I'm going to make sure I get neither of these servers- I would just appreciate better service.
