Reviews of Honey Road
Such a great 1st experience. Definitely suggest making a reservation ahead of time as it's super popular and not a large space. Lovely atmosphere with multiple candles, lamps, and chandeliers and beautiful tableware. The idea is to order multiple smaller Mediterranean dishes to share. Everything we got was delicious and they have lots of healthier and veg options as well. Cocktails were tasty and we got some Raki with dessert. On the pricier side but worth it. One of our new favorite places
Overall great service, very good food, and a fun unique menu… but some of the dishes were a little heavy, and not all of them were great. Certainly a fun spot worth trying but not among the best in VT
So delicious. Love that the food is served as it's made and is great for sharing. The lamb was outstanding! Our waitress was so nice and explained everything perfectly to us. The Turkish coffee was the perfect way to round off the meal at the end.
Insanely nice service.
Delicious muhamarra. The best part was lamb kefta, so flavorful! We got 5 dishes and everything had such interesting flavors.
Ginger cake + lebne ice cream dessert with Turkish coffee was the best way to finish a beautiful fall day in Vermont!
Honey Road is a must-eat restaurant. Easily my favorite during my stay in Burlington, where every meal was good.
Tuesday evening for 3, told it'd be a 1.5 hour wait but they texted us back after 40 min.
Blew me away: snap peas (so fresh, crunchy, I didn't understand why but it made my mouth feel alive), farm greens (delicious contrast among the greens and crunchy falafel bits. My girlfriend found it too salty), pita (great texture, warm), grilled octopus (delicious and even the chips with it tasted unique), Greece Lightning cocktail (flavors hit in layers each sip, ouzo/herbal flavors hitting last).
Great: hot pepper labne, sweet harissa chicken wings (uniquely flavored, too sweet for my gf), grape leaf dolma (gf said it was her favorite ever), tahini sundae, Rising down cocktail (smooth subtly taste of the beet).
Good: Baba Ganoush (very smoky but no complaint), Tuna Nayeh (the baking spices were interesting but didn't seem totally complimentary)
Made two orders of the pita after the first wasn't enough for the labne and baba ganoush. Seemed a little odd neither came with pita.
In addition to cocktails, the menu included beer so we shared a Heady Topper.
The menu glossary was helpful.
Only criticisms: my gf thought some dishes (which I loved) were too salty, and it took maybe 10 minutes to get the check when were the last table.
Absolutely delicious food and excellent service. This was the first thing I booked for my trip to Vermont. Getting a reservation is rather difficult; they book up weeks in advance. Keep an eye on Resy; they do get cancellations you can grab.
So good! Nothing we had missed the mark at all. Even the texture of the octopus was amazing, which is so hard to find. I usually will not eat it because of the texture.
The service was also great, the food came at a perfect pace and we were checked up on just the right amount.
Highly recommend the Heirloom Tomatoes and the Salmon.
Everything was excellent. We were very well taken of by the staff, the food was prepared perfectly, and the drinks were balanced and flavorful. Definitely planning on coming back.
This is easily one of the best restaurants in Burlington. We ate at the bar last night - which is beautiful, gorgeous glassware and all around great vibe. For reference, on a Saturday night, we went in around 8, had a 45 minute wait. I had gotten take out from Honey Road a number of times, which was always very good, but dining in, the food was excellent. We started with the lebneh, then had the winter roots with goat cheese, the roasted sweet potato, the celery root pancake, and the lamb shish, and finished with key lime pie. Every single thing was excellent!! Complex flavor profiles, interesting textures, super fresh. I think a dip and 4 plates is great for 2 people (you could probably go one less but we like to eat and we felt very satisfied without being uncomfortably full. You could also do another one if you like to try!). We didn’t drink but I did get a mocktail with sumac which was excellent!! It’s not inexpensive (esp in the context of Burlington) but for the quality, I think it is very reasonably priced. Our total bill was $100 ($50 per person) before tax or tip. Highly recommend and am looking forward to returning and taking friends and family!! Also looking forward to eating alone at the bar in the future - I loved being up there, it’s a pretty space.
Amazing time at Honey Road last night! I flew in to see my friends for thanksgiving and had an incredible dining experience at bar seating. We ate and drank and every dish we had was AMAZING. Thank you Honey Road! - A visitor from Tucson
Excellent Mediterranean cuisine. Ordered the salmon shish kabobs, radishes, crudite, pita, hummus, quinoa kale salad, spanikopita, carrots. The baklava is in the top three baklavas I've ever had in my life, and I eat a lot of baklava. Come here every fall and we'll be coming back as long as they let us in the door.
Really delicious and beautiful food with lovely and attentive service! Some dishes are a bit too acidic for my personal taste but overall, the food is so so good.
I don't think I've ever had better tapas in my life! We went on a Friday night and had to wait an hour for a table but it was worth it because the food was fantastic and the vibe was lovely.
3.5/5
Pros:
- friendly staff/ good service
- great wine selection
- tahini hummus was delicious
- bok choy was darn good
Cons:
- pita over salted
- braised lamb over powered by large amount of bread it is served with
- many dishes needed more seasoning, the best Mediterranean food I've had is full of rich bold flavors
Honey road is a cool mix of fancy small plates and fast casual. You order at the window around the block and get a number for your food to be delivered. The menu options have some classy protein choices. We got the Lamb Pide and a delicious duck dish I forgot the name of. We also started with zucchini fries and an Iced Tahini Maple Coffee. Both were delicious! I ate here July 2021 so due to Covid, their regular dining room was closed but I did get a peak at all the cute decor inside when I used the restroom. Overall great vibe and great food.
Reservations don't work for outside, but they were nice enough to call us ahead of time and let us know. We went early to try to get an outside seat and they offered to hold our reserved inside table while we wait in case we changed our mind. It's a small thing but it was so nice and we really appreciated it, they were absolutely packed but still so kind.
The food is a much simpler story, everything was perfect and delicious and the pacing of the food is amazing. You can really just order 10 things, sit back, and relax.
First on Burlington must eats, Honey Road. We missed out on the za'atar garlic knots sadly, but nothing disappointed.
Food pretty good. Chicken wings were a little sweet for our taste. Rest was good.
Well crafted drinks, plenty of options for vegetarians and meat eaters. Service was timely. Truly a gem for Mediterranean and Turkish food in VT. Would def visit again.
Totally worth it.
Ps- they book well in advance for obvious reasons, so reserve and plan ahead.
The flavors and execution of the dishes are exceptional. These are without question some of the most skilled chefs in Vermont.
With that said, in spite of the quality of the dishes, it's also without question slightly overpriced. While they are undoubtedly suffering from the extortionate rent in Burlington right now, and subsequently need their prices to offset that, I still feel as though certain dishes cross the line into overpriced territory. Others, however, I feel are a fantastic value! This is a place that's a good example of knowing what to order. Additionally, it really is an experience that's best shared with more than just two people. While you absolutely could have a fantastic date night here (that's what we've done a few times now), the value is increased when the cost is spread across 3+ individuals.
Even with the pricing factored in, Honey Road is without question some of the best food you'll eat in Burlington. Their donuts and coffee in the morning (for a brief period) was one of my favorite mini food events in BVT in recent memory, and their brunch take-out was a highlight of the Burlington food scene mid-COVID. I hope some of those return, but in the meantime, if I'm craving Mediterranean food (or just a really, really good dinner on payday), Honey Road is without question my first stop.
We came here to eat a light lunch. The food was pretty good, especially the fresh pita. It was pretty expensive for what it was though. I don't mind paying $15+ give or take for a small plate but I would like it to be memorable and interesting. I also feel like there could have been more spices or heat to the food. The cocktails were ok. We liked the thyme one but not the yellow one.
The pide is worth ordering. We got the lamb one and it tasted good but it was extremely oily. Their bread is just good overall though so definitely worth it. The wings were a little too sweet for me but solid otherwise.
The service and vibe were excellent.
Amazing mediterranean dishes, creative flavors that I have never tried. Best restaurant in Burlington I went to. The plates can be small so you will need to order 2-3 each.
Not sure why this placed is so hyped. Tables are super small, chairs are uncomfortable and food is mediocre. The spanokopita has way too much lemon and couldn't taste anything else inside the spinach pie but the lemon. Also got a kale salad which was ok but they overdid the crunchy quinoa on top. Dont waste your time with the baklava either. Its hard, small and nothing special. Hummus, pita, and octopus were tasty though and staff is wonderful. Wouldn't return as it's pretty expensive and nothing special IMO. 3 stars for having good staff and not screwing up basic hummus and bread.
If you want bougie, go here. I love it. I had no idea what I was ordering at all, but everything we got was delicious! The bartender as well was knowledgeable on the menu, and he was so sweet. The crunchy quinoa salad .. out of this world with texture and flavor!
While the atmosphere and service was phenomenal, the food was unfortunately lackluster. We went during dinner after reading such high reviews...ordered hot pepper labne (which was great)along with the garlic knots (not great). The garlic knot is one giant garlic knot; it was dry and didn't taste fresh. Next we ordered roasted carrots which comes with shishito peppers, goat cheese and tarator. The carrots were too hard - not roasted long enough. Taste wise it was good bc of the goat cheese but still lacked the Mediterranean flavors. We also ordered a curried cauliflower - but again the spices (mediterranean spice not hot peppers) were lacking. Finally we ordered the spanakopita - sadly too lemony and the top was charred. The inside was too mushy - just not your typical layered flaky spanakopita. The restaurant also offered desserts and we ordered the Tahini Sundae which was great but if you're not into overly sweet desserts then skip it. Overall I would recommend skipping this overhyped restaurant if you are looking for more flavor in your vegetarian food. This is a good restaurant for someone who eats mild / bland food with no spice.
The food here is outstanding and the service is attentive and friendly. We ordered many dishes and a lot of thought and details are put into the plate. The menu is very vegetarian forward and although I am not a vegetarian myself, a lot can be said about a chef who makes the vegetable components shine on a dish, when sometimes the vegetables are an afterthought. The kolrhabi pancake and roasted beets were to die for!! Will come back again if I'm ever in Burlington :)
BABA GANOUSH!!!!!
Seriously, the best I have ever had. (Only North American experiences tbf)
Slightly smoky, perfect texture, no bitterness, practically perfect.
We went back the next day for "Honey Hour", more commonly known as Happy Hour. Limited menu with small plates and some minor specials. Worth it!
So they lose 1 star for service and I will explain why in one second after I say this. Other than 1 flaw the service was impeccable. The food was timed perfect so we never had a moment where there was either too much or too little food for our party of 6 (btw they bumped our reservation count up by 2 with no problems, gold stars!) or our HH 2 top.
As I was leaving I started talking to a server (not our server) to express my gratitude for great service and to compliment the experience I had just enjoyed. She gave me the most indifferent and unimpressed look I have seen since the turdwiches at Victory Bar. I really felt like I offended her deeply. I spent the next few hours wondering what I did wrong. Not an "OK thanks" or a right on, no nothing, just a dead stare and an unimpressed chuckle.
Was it a big deal? Eh, mostly no.
Did I go back without a second thought? Yup, 💯
Will I go back again?
Also, Yes.
Every person has hard day, it happens. We were there up to and pushing closing time, but were definitely not the last ones nor did we linger . Sorry we kept you at work longer than you wanted, or whatever. I am not mad, not disappointed, just hope that this person has found their real purpose and joy in life by the next time I come back.
This is purely based on their donuts, which is only available on the weekends starting at 9am at the time of writing this. Make sure you show up at least 15mins early as a like quickly forms around then. You can also preorder the Thursday before online. Now for the actual donuts, wonderful and interesting flavors, def on the denser side (cake donuts).
This was a wonderful recommendation. We arrived just as they were opening and enjoyed, "Honeytime." The restaurant filled up very quickly and I totally understand why, it was really good. Definitely a spot to add to our Burlington favs.
The food is phenomenal. The restaurant is always busy, and now I know why! What tied everything together was our server, Alex. She walked us through a complex multi-lingual menu and made the perfect suggestions from apps through dessert. Go with the Kale salad, it was exquisite. Hope to see you there!
Amazingly creative dishes with mid-eastern flare. Delicious. Great outdoor seating in Church street. Servings are small a bit pricey. This is a trendy restaurant.
Everything was marvelous and elegantly plated. Highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the baby carrots! Great friendly fast service and outside seating made for a comfortable scenic experience on Church Street.
Just read some of the other 5-star reviews and I couldn't agree more with them. This place is amazing!
Eric took care of us at the bar, explained how things are sourced and prepared, and discussed the great beverage choices. I tried the Sweet Harissa Chicken Wings during the happy hour special, then ordered more. I rarely order wings anywhere, these were fantastic. Everything we tried was superb. Chatting with Eric and the staff was very nice, very pleasant and professional. We wished we'd had more time for additional visits. Great place and highly recommend.
An incredible experience. A bunch of mezze options to share. The cocktails were also exceptional and the service was fast and friendly. I recommend making a reservation!
Went here for dinner with my boyfriend on a recent trip. Mediterranean mezze/tapas is by far my favorite cuisine so I was really excited for this addition on Church St.
Food was great , wine was good, and the rose cocktail I started with perfect for the day. The bartender serving us was very friendly as well.
The only downside is I felt the price was a little high overall. We frequent places of equal to greater caliber and rarely end up spending as much. Plus we were both starving in about 2 hours and ended up getting more food elsewhere :)
Amazing drinks and epic food. Overall food and service was excelente! Wing and lamb are a must. Dips are out of this world and the goat cheese salad oponed up the evening for me. I will be back!
The food was absolutely amazing. The heirloom free today was fresh and crisp and flavorful, the baba ganoush dip was the perfect compliment. The spanakopita had perhaps the most feta of any spanakopita I have ever eaten anywhere in the world. The Baklava was a textural, flavorful gem that was subtly nuanced and just the right size for one person. On a Wednesday night at about 6 it was super crowded and I would highly recommend making a reservation.
What an amazing experience. Delicious and creative food. Unique wine list. One of my favourites ever. Worth a trip to Burlington just for this
Excellent everything, from the food to the ambiance to the staff. Our waitress, I think Tara(so sorry I don’t remember but she was a beautiful redhead), was the cherry on top of some delicious and authentic Middle Eastern cuisine!
Delicious, thoughtfully presented food for sharing with friends and family. Menus poorly designed but with a glossary that helped. Tested the service by downing water as usual. Relatively attentive, bottle was left on the table but they were still serving me!
As a Burlington resident for almost 10 years now, I have to say that this is the best restaurant in town hands down. The amount of flavors in every dish, even the ones that seem pretty straightforward are absolutely incredible.
The food is good. Presented well and flavorful, but don't expect to be filled up. Also the restaurant is so new it has a strong paint/chemical smell.
Absolutely fantastic. I mean all this place basically got only positive, raving reviews. But what can I say - well deserved. Staff was nice as well as was the location. 5 stars all around.
Dinner was amazing. We found Honey Road by accident and could not have been happier. Delicious small plates (the wings and the dips are especially good) and a great wine list. Would recommended.
Ordered the hummus (amazing and authentic), pita, crunchy kale salad, and fried chickpeas. The service was excellent, the food arrived quickly and was delicious. Everything was a 10/10 except for the fried chickpeas. There wasn't anything "wrong" with them but just not really my taste. Especially compared to how amazing the rest was. Seriously, very very good. And great atmosphere sitting outside in Burlington. Would definitely go back!
I love this restaurant! You can pick a lot of small plates to try and everything is delicious :) the decor and ambience is also spot on! This makes for a great spot to celebrate or go on a nice date!
Exceptional food in small plates. Fun cocktails. Nice service. Plan to reserve weeks ahead.
This brings Burlington to that next next level.
My girlfriend took me here to eat and we had no idea what to expect. Some would say "tapas-style", but that really doesn't capture this place. The southern Mediterranean dishes are absolutely beautifully served and makes a treat for anyone who enjoys a good meal. There are tons of delicious vegetarian options, wonderful service, a great mood and style, and just the loveliest little glossary on the side of the menu card for those not more commonly acquainted with the vocabulary of the region. I would recommend a reservation since this place moves FAST. But if you have a stop in Burlington, you should DEFINITELY have a stop at Honey Road. How else are you going to try out their absolutely phenomenally perfect garlic knot??
My five points stars go for service, food, style and mood, soundtrack, and overall execution!
I tried Mediterranean food first the first time while visiting in town. I was nervous, but the food here is absolutely amazing. The outside seating is lovely. 10/10 would highly recommend.
Great atmosphere, fun cocktails. Creative menu. Baba ghanoush was smoky and delish. Boyfriend loved the wings, which came with a dip that offset the sweet sesame flavor. The roasted lamb shoulder was delicately done and the sides did not over power the main dish. The kale salad and pide are our “go-tos” when they are on the menu. MVP of the night was the tahini sundae for sure. I’m not typically a sweets person, but with a Turkish coffee on the side, it was quite a delightful end to a lovely dining experience.
Good to note: super accommodating with tree nut allergies (and I imagine any for that matter). A manager marked up a menu for my friend on what could be modified and what dishes were unable to be nut-free. Very pleasant experience.
Delicious flavor combinations, perfectly cooked and presented. Friendly service and lively environment. Highly recommend!
Food was delicious and unexpected. The kale salad with crunchy quinoa was spectacular! We loved the pepper labne with pita too! The baklava was super authentic and had a great cinnamon finish. Wine options were yummy & brought me back to Athens! A definite while in Burlington!
We really enjoyed all of the dishes here! They had first-come first-serve outdoor dining available, there were plenty of seats and we waited about ten minutes at night to get a table. We ordered at the window to get our food, and a server brought out the plates. Everything was delicious, and portions are on the smaller side for the price.
Definitely recommend the zucchini fries and any of the dips + pita.
From atmosphere, to food, to waiters, to drinks. Everything here is perfection. The staff is amazing at explaining the restaurants style and all the delicious plates, trust me, you'll need some quidance here! But this is a must try. Sharing size plates. Five plates are enough for two. IMO.
We ate out on the patio with hybrid service. The staff was exceedingly helpful in getting a seated. There were six of us so we were able to sample more than half the menu. We literally loved everything the tiny plates are perfect for sharing. The food was stellar. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented
for my experience, it wasn't the best of the best of burlington.
The wait was told me to be 2 hours, which was wild for 5 pm, but we took it and waited about 45 mins.
We sat on the high chairs near the bar and we started off with the pita and the garlic bread. to my dismay, both came out cold??? I was super confused but still ate it as it was $$ for just 2 slices of pita and 1 little tiny garlic roll. LOL! but we had the mussels for dinner and the wings. i thought it was both subpar and nothing to be raving over. a lot of people though have been like OH THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT EVER and i didn't see that. I am hoping to return back soon and have a better experience with more flavors and warm apps!
SUCH an amazing experience, anything you order is amazing — we went outside our comfort zone and LOVED everything we got! If you want to make reservations call about 2 days ahead for the weekends!
Hands-down once of the best Mediterranean meals I’ve ever had. Lovely staff and great vibe here!
Wonderful meal and service. The chicken wings and kale salad were incredible.
We ate here last night and experienced one of the best meals I have had in Burlington and maybe recently anywhere. The flavors in all the dishes were so special and unique. A must if you are visiting Burlington!
We had a truly great meal here. The flavors are well defined and explosive! All the dishes (we had 14 in total plus dessert) were expertly prepared and presented and the server was well versed in the menu and extremely helpful. We also had several innovative and we'll prepared cocktails. And the wine list is extremely varied and interesting. It's not an inexpensive place to eat, but well worth it!! We will be back for sure the next time we visit Burlington.
Wonderful experience of amazing flavors and presentation. Service is done with care. Must visit!
Holding down one corner of Burlington's famed Church Street marketplace, this Nu-Mediterranean eatery seems inconspicuous, as evidenced by its one sign hidden beneath an awning. Perhaps this is why Honey Road's slower and more nuanced vibe greatly differs from its over-touristed neighbors.
One would be wise to judge the culinary fare here in the same manner, for it does anything but cater to tourists. Dishes from the small but impressive menu suggest much thought and planning went into their creation. And once tasted, the food only verifies that assessment. You don't need a large menu of options when any one of the ones here will not disappoint.
A lamb pide, immaculately seasoned lamb mixed with complimentary ingredients, just made me want to eat three more of them. Even something as simple sounding as a kale salad was way beyond that, and a meal unto itself.
If you head to Church Street Marketplace, ignore the sardine can seating in the main thoroughfare and head to the end for a more quiet and worthwhile experience at Honey Road. Yes, there are less seats to be had, but it will be worth the wait.
Honey Road is SO GOOD. It's fancy Mediterranean food, but not the usual falafel and gyros that you're used to (although they do serve hummus and it's amazing). Fried chick peas, harissa wings, garlic bok choy, and lamb pide are what we had last time we visited. The flavors are unique and amazing. This is one of the few places where we actually prefer the vegetarian dishes because they're so good and flavorful. Oh and their cocktails and non alcoholic specialty drinks are great as well!
It is pricey and there is often a long wait for a table, but it's worth it. If you live in the Burlington area, you should come here at least once for the experience.
The food was pretty good although overpriced for what it was. There is no table service but they charge a 15% service fee. They don't allow customers to use their bathroom because of COVID and admit that the staff is not yet vaccinated. We also had to wait 40 minutes for a table because they didn't want to seat us at a larger table that sat empty the entire time we waited. Would I go back? I'd probably explore other options first.
The menu and cocktails are exceptional, and are complemented by the service, atmosphere, and experience. This is the best restaurant in Vermont right now. You can't get anything else like it here. You definitely need a reservation. Let Honey Road take care of you on your next date night, special event, or treat yourself dinner. I would recommend 4 people or more so you can try as much of the menu as possible.
Had a spectacular meal here this weekend. The food was dynamic and flavorful, the cocktails perfectly balanced, and the service on par. It’s worth noting, as you’ll read in several other reviews, that this is a pricey restaurant. So if you’re prone to look at the price before you look at the food items being listed, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you’re into the type of food experience when you join a small group of friends, order a bunch of fantastic small plates and drinks, and enjoy lively conversations over a meandering meal that rolls out over an extended period of time, this is the perfect location. Highly recommend, and worth the expense.
Fantastic food with amazing cocktails. Plates are smaller than traditional "American" portions, yet sharable and very filling.
Definitely end your meal with a delightful Turkish Coffee and a Cookie Jar. You will not regret it.
Incredible food. We sat at the bar and Evelyn , the bartender was absolutely wonderful. She recommended a lovely bottle of wine and a few suggestions on what dishes to get. Every dish we ordered was so wonderful and had tons of flavor that exploded with each bite. I highly recommend Honey Road.
One of the absolute best dining experiences of my life. EVERY. SINGLE. DISH is perfect. The food is local, ethically sourced, and simply delicious. Add to that a chef that uses phenomenal spices and cooks literally everything to perfection, and this restaurant puts to shame many of the Michelin-starred restaurants I've visited. Do not miss this if you live in or are visiting Burlington. It is simply phenomenal.
LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE. Pricy (for a cheap girl like me) but SO WORTH EVERY BITE!!!
It’s been more than a week since our visit and I still feel the same emotions that I felt tasting their plates, absolutely everything I ordered was vegetarian and delicious.
Cocktails were unique and tasteful as well.
Service 10/10. Loved the place. I am definitely coming back for you next time. So glad I got to try so many different dishes!!! Will try more next time for sure !
Went to the restaurant with a small group of friends a couple days after they opened. They have fantastic and personable servers. The cocktail list is interesting and single. Best part of the whole evening was the food though! Their appetizers and mezze meals are thoughtful and delicious. I can't wait to make this my usual spot!
AMAZING food! Truly outstanding flavor and texture combinations! We ordered several of their small plates and loved each one. Our favorites were the honeynut squash and the fried feta cheese! The chefs know what they are doing there and the ambiance is relaxing and fun. Highly recommend this place!
The food was FANTASTIC and service was amazing. If you go, ask for a gin, cucumber, lime and mint cocktail!! Absolutely the best. I wasn’t a fan of the tomato dish...but still loved all the other dishes I shared with my boyfriend. Definitely a must when visiting.
My husband and I loved this place! We were lucky to get in without a reservation (we are not from Burlington). We were looking for restaurants to try and this is one of our favorites. The food is beyond delicious. Their hummus and homemade pita bread is excellent. We loved everything. Thank you for the great attention from your servers. Their baklava is to die for.
Pretty sure Honey Road doesn't need my 2c for it to be obvious how wonderful they are, but they're going to get it anyway! We just finished the most exquisite take-out dinner from there and I can't say enough good things. Each dish was beautifully presented (even as take-out) with its own amazing flavor profile and special deliciousness. I normally don't go in for chicken wings, but they were caramelized and sprinkled with sesame seeds and were lip-licking goodness. The muhammara is always a favorite! There were no dippable pitas included (oversight?) but we made do and it was terrif. The spanakopita was delicately rolled like a cinnamon bun with tons of fresh dill and it was my absolute favorite... wait, I think I already called a favorite... well, they were both my favorite. The lamb shawarma rocked my world. Seriously, I said "yum" after every bite. The lamb pide was the most gorgeously presented, in a canoe shaped pastry and bursting with fresh herbs on top, but I hadn't read the description closely and an egg on top of anything doesn't do it for me... but I still thought it was really good! We even had tahini ice cream bars at the end (because clearly we had not had enough food...) and they were a delicacy all on their own. I just can't say enough good things about this restaurant so I'd better quit while I'm ahead. Oh, and they have a super organized take-out system. I was in and out in a matter of seconds. Amazing in every way.
Best meal in Burlington I've had in a while. Excellent service, great cocktails, but the food is the star of the show. We ordered about 9 dishes (4 people) and dessert and were quite full when we left. Everything was delicious and there is great variety in the menu.
We ate here on Saturday afternoon. Everything was wonderful, we tried the Muhammara, Falafel, Scallops and Lamb Pide. Everything was really delicious. It was all very well done and I hope I get a chance to go back again soon and try more of their great options.
The service was very impressive. Neat and kindest servers. However, the food was expensive given the amount of a dish (I was still hungry after finishing two courses of cuisine and ice cream a cup of coffee). This restaurant is better to have a meeting with others, but you better not expect to have a proper meal.
It was overpriced for what it was.
The food was well made, and with middle east flavors.
But why only 3 stars?
They called a falafel plate shawarma. The falafel was not even made from chickpeas but from red peppers.
The sabich was with breaded eggplant instead of grilled eggplant and served on the pita instead of taking the time and effort of inserting it into the pita, making it easier to it.
Basically it could have been a great representation of middle eastern street food but they tried too hard in the wrong places so completely missed the mark.
I did like that the salad was chopped very fine, as it should be and the hummus was excellent.
Extraordinary food. The menu offerings are wildly creative and perfectly executed. The service is warm, personal, exceptional. The staff obviously cares deeply about each patron's experience. If you are in Burlington even for a single night, do not miss this restaurant.
Exquisite mezze plates. Seasonal menu with Mediterranean standards like hummus bi tahini. Fabulous cocktails, innovative and all too tempting to drink more than one should. Everything we ordered was made perfectly. Delicious meal in every way, service is friendly and professional. Entire menu is small plates- enough to share with 4 people. Can get quite expensive.
Absolutely amazing! My aunt came to town for a visit and we had dinner here on Friday. The service was great, the ambiance and decor was beautiful, and the food was to die for! We had 4 small plates and the whole fish. We finished dinner with coffee and dessert. Every single dish was tasty and we couldn't decide on our favorite. My aunt and I are from Manhattan and can be food snobs sometimes but we both agree that Honey Road is the best we've had in Burlington and could really hold its own in the NYC restaurant scene. I will certainly be eating here again, especially when I start missing home.
Overall a good experience. Three out of four dishes we ordered were good. The snap peas were drenched (not drizzled) with aioli. The fattoush was tasty but too many pieces chips and not enough beets. Baklava was tasty but tiny. Service was excellent. The plates were a bit expensive for the size (understanding most are quite SMALL plates).
At the insistence of some friends at UVM Medical Center, my colleague and I decided to give this place a try last night. Not only were the drinks good but the so was the food and service. We were glad to get their during "honey time" about an hour before dinner is served as the place fills up quickly! The wings were delicious, sweet but with a little heat. Some of the tapas were surprising larger portioned than we expected and definitely make the price point worth it. If you want some thing a little different, a trendy atmosphere, and friendly service then I suggest giving this place a try.
One of the best dinners of my life. The food is local, ethically sourced, and simply delicious. Every thing we ate was fantastic and perfectly cooked! They used wonderful spices and the delivery was beautifully done. The falafel was so tasty and the lamb was out of this world! Do not pass on the Tahini Sundae! It is absolutely phenomenal.
I went in with a friend and it was very busy. A wait time of around 20 - 30 minutes. I had never tried any kind of alcohol before and my friend was helping me try some wine. The staff was very friendly and provided me some suggestions and helped me try a few different wines. The food was also very good and fresh. We ordered hummus, pita, Brussels, and Broccoli. They enjoy explaining their food. Overall pretty great!!
My little brother had his birthday 27th birthday dinner here. It was the best meal I've had in recent memory. The food was fantastic and YES, they're small plates. I feel like some people still don't understand the concept. ORDER LOTS OF PLATES! The space is small, but cozy. And obviously the place was full because the place is awesome. The serving plates are mix-matched and beautiful - as is the case with the glassware to support a killer bar program. They have a stellar wine list too - including an fairly extensive selection of aperitifs, digestifs, and desert wines. I will be back.
Simply wonderful food. Textures and flavors all delectable. We brought a family with both picky and adventurous eaters and everyone left happy. Service is generally very good, though staff sometimes fail to coordinate/communicate to each other. Pricey, though that's typical for small plates.
I know it's trendy and one of "the" places to go in Burlington but we weren't too impressed. Liked the Shankleesh goat cheese balls, but more spicy than we thought. Whipped pumpkin was good. Crispy Potato was just French fries. Octopus large plate was tasty but overcooked and chewy. Didn't finish the lamb. Our favorite plate was the heirloom tomato with pita good flavor and refreshing vinegar hint that was a great palette clearing taste.
The food is decent but at least twice as expensive as it should be. The portions are very, very tiny. Two falafel balls cost $9. It wasn't really that special either. I won't be back. The meal cost $65 for two people including tip and I was still hungry afterward. Very slow service.
Our server had fantastic service, and all of the food was delicious! All of the mezze were great options, especially the braised lamb, and the cocktails were equally impressive. I would definitely come back and recommend it to anyone in the area!
My fiancee and I had our anniversary dinner at Honey Road this week thanks to recommendations from a friend. Thank goodness for this friend as it was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. There are few words to describe how unbelievable the food was. Everything was spiced to perfection, and even my sangria cocktail was delicious. Our waitress was wonderfully kind and overall we felt we received amazing service on such a special evening. You must try the home made pita bread, the baba ganoush, whipped feta and muhumarri to start. Plan to order many small dishes... everything is meant to be shared but the staff paces the meal so you are always left wanting more. We finished off with Turkish coffees and the most delicious rose sorbet. Cannot wait to go back!!! If you are on the fence do yourself a favor and get to Honey Road!
Food was fine, but did not wow. The menu shows a lot of potential, but the execution wasn’t quite there. The falafel was great, but the king oyster mushrooms were under-seasoned and the bok choi dish was unspectacular. Folks seem to love the harissa wings, so I should probably try that next time. Prices were a bit high for the portions and execution; Service was great. I had high hopes given the good press, great reviews, and vegetable forward menu, but Honey Road isn’t quite there yet.
Great atmosphere, great music and the food is first rate. The meals are designed to share which makes it very fun to pick and choose from the menu. The food is thoughtfully prepared and out of this world delicious. A must visit, a great change of pace from the other Church St. restaurants.
Visited from NYC and this restaurant is better than most in NYC! I have high standards and Honey Road exceeded them. Every single dish we got was exceptional- perfect combination of unique flavors, fresh ingredients, everything prepared to perfection and presented beautifully. Great service and super friendly chef, too. Fatoush was my absolute favorite! Wish it was open for lunch, too.
I brought my co workers there for a team dinner, and everyone had a great experience. The food was amazing and the service was second to none. This is my favorite restaurant in Burlington because it is always a great experience. Bonus points for the great music!
The menu items here we're all absolutely wonderfully made. The chefs clearly have the utmost care and thought put into every single dish. The wait staff whom we had was absolutely hands-down the most personable and friendly without being overly imposing or obnoxious in any way. I don't think I've ever left a 30% tip until now. I wish them the absolute best of luck in the business and continued success!
Hands down the best food in Vermont. Everything here is at least great if not exceptional. Drinks are creative, dishes are delicious... I'm not even upset at needing to make a reservation out a ways as it's worth it.
Certainly exceeded expectations. I'm always a little apprehensive walking in to a tapas place but the food here is very good and really good value (for a tapas restaurant). Obviously lots of care goes into each dish. Try the "buy the kitchen a bucket of beer". Only $8 and makes up to 9 kitchen staff very happy.
Amazing food and even better service. The staff goes above and beyond to explain the menu (which is constantly changing with the season) and help you craft a meal out of small plates that will knock your socks off. We stopped by twice in three days because it was just that good.
Small plate alert! Make sure to order enough for your group. Everything here is fresh and so tasty - it's a bit pricey, but worth it for a special night out. Great service, great cocktails, great food.
Service is always good and the food is awesome. Can get a little loud at times though.
My partner and I scheduled an online reservation for two at 8pm. We were seated promptly upon arrival and felt welcomed to the restaurant. Amazing that there was only 1 open table when we arrived on a Tuesday night! Our server David was kind and understanding. It was my first time at Honey Road, and he was very open to explaining the options and so patient while we worked through deciding on our courses. Sharing a bottle of my first Orange wine was amazing. Loved the flavor and the stone chiller to keep it fresh for the whole meal. We enjoyed Lamb Chips, Warm Pita, Baba Ganoush, Dolmathakia, Brussel Sprouts, and Braised Lamb. David was great in providing recommendations of the favorites and they aligned perfectly with options we had been thinking of before he shared his opinions. I truly enjoyed the experience and look forward to going again in the future. 10/10 would recommend!
Outstanding food. Can't wait to return. The service is great, too. Just one complaint: most items on the menu are share plates and the waiters didn't change our individual plates once during our meal. At one point one of our plates was no longer usable (wet naps, chicken wing bones, various sauces) which the wait staff delivering the orders and picking up the finished share plates didn't seem to notice. I had to ask them to change out my daughter's plate and they never brought back a new one. For a high end restaurant that is otherwise doing everything right, this seemed like an odd oversight.
Great looking donuts. Excellent harissa bloody mary. Great job with walk up and to go with pandemic going on.
YYooooooo. This place is awesome. I've gone and sat at the bar a bunch of times now, always eating, as well. The cocktail menu makes you appreciate what a cocktail can actually be. They're complex and fun and even seasonal. Last night I had a Dirty Garden Gibson and it tasted like drinking a garden. In a good way.
The food is delish. I don't know where to start but it leaves you full, and feeling great about being full. I'm not a dessert guy but luckily my wife crushes them so I always get a taste, and the desserts here are excellent.
Surprisingly, it's as affordable as you want it to be, with diverse menu options and I don't think there's a single item over $20. I can't say I've ever walked out without spending a hundred bucks, but that's my choice and I still feel like there's great value here.
Finally, dude Burlington isn't always the spot where you feel like it's worth putting on a nicer shirt or shoes, but stepping into Honey Road does transport you to a far-off world where it's ok to go on a date and look nice. It's refreshing.
A+
Really scrumptious Mediterranean food! Would definitely smash up their falafel again. Wasn't too bit of a fan the way the spanikopita was done but their baba ganoush was excellent.
Where to begin....this restaurant has so much to offer and will not disappoint. Every single dish that arrived on the table had such impressive presentation and amazing flavor! This is our new favorite restaurant in Burlington and looking forward to the next Kale Salad
Very well located. Very qualified and friendly staff. Menu is really well chosen and very tasty. I can recommend that you try multiple items on the menu. I would highly recommend this place. Need to get back to Burlington for the food.
Honey Road is a fabulous experience and a ridiculous value. Three of us ate our fill & had cocktails to boot for a bit over a hundred dollars. The dishes we had were unique and exceedingly flavorful! Our server, Payton, was as knowledgeable as she was charming. We will never come to Burlington again without eating at Honey Road!
This place is absolutely delicious! Portions are small but that is on purpose as you order many things and share. It is on what many would call the expensive side even for downtown but the food here is very good. When seated out side last fall they offered lap blankets to us as the temperature dropped in the evening. My fiancé loved that.
Chic female owned place for great food. The chicken wings are fantastic and the main courses are all very good. Serving sizes are more european size so be sure to get one or more of the starters.
Everything we ordered was perfectly executed. Timing was impeccable, with the next plate coming almost immediately after the first. The dishes were delivered in order with light dishes first, heavier dishes last. Three people, six plates. We left full, but not crawling from the table. This will be a place I take out-of-town guests!
I've been a few times now. Every time the food is very creative and flavorful and the service is excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and give great recommendations and they make it really easy to navigate the menu with dietary restrictions (esp. Vegan). Start with the Muhummara and eat the entire menu.
Good, fresh, unique food with a Mediterranean flair. A bit pricey but servers were very personable and friendly. The drinks were spot on. Would definitely recommend
Excellent food and evening
TL/DR: This place is awesome. Go now.
My girlfriend and I came here last night. We'd had some of their food before at pop-up events before they actually opened, but this was the first time we went to their actual brick & mortar location. We arrived at about 7:30 on Thursday evening and were told it would be about an hour and a half for a table for two. That's a pretty long time, but they were up front about it so I didn't mind. The place was packed. We went elsewhere to grab a glass of wine while we waited, and came back about 5 minutes short of the expected wait time. My phone chose right then to die, so we went in to let them know we were there and they actually had a table ready to go.
We knew going in that it's a Turkish/Mediterranean themed, small plate restaurant. My girlfriend and I are both total winos, so the first thing we looked at was the wine list. It. Was. Awesome. Easily one of the best restaurant wine lists we've had recently. Our server, Xenia, was very attentive and helpful when we were so overwhelmed by the wine choices that we couldn't make a decision, and she was obviously very knowledgeable about the wine they sell. For good measure she also sent over (I think) one of the owners, who offered a little more insight.
Decisions made, we moved onto the food. We were much more decisive about that. I want to say, we appreciated the order that things came out. We've been to other small-plates places recently where it seems like everything gets put in at once and they come out when they come out. Maybe it was just random luck that things came out in the order we would have chosen, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that it was intentional. We ordered 4 plates, starting with Fried Feta, then moving to Cheese Borek, (I'm not sure what kind of cheese this was but it was definitely heartier than the feta), then Chicken Wings with Harissa-Brown Sugar, and finally Mousakka, which was a whole tomato stuffed with Greek cheese, crispy potato, and lamb. All of it was tremendous.
Service was fantastic; attentive without being obnoxious. It probably helps that, being a small-plate restaurant, they're constantly coming by to clear plates or bring out the next thing, so they're probably more apt to notice when we're running low on wine or water or whatever. Regardless, we felt like the service was nearly perfect.
We ended with Baklava and Turkish coffee. I'm not sure what exactly Turkish coffee is or how it's different from regular coffee, but it was delicious, as was the Baklava. All told the bill was in-line with what we'd expect for the amount of food we had plus two glasses of wine each.
There are a lot of great restaurants in the Burlington area. This was is, I think, wholly unique in their style, and it has immediately moved into the conversation for my favorite restaurant in the area. Go here, you won't regret it.
I’ve eaten here twice in the last two months, once with a party of three and once with a party of eight. It was very good both times. The service is perfect, the food is excellent and the atmosphere is very good. I’ll be back with more friends.
Delicious food! Super fresh and creative. Lots of great vegetarian options. I wish they offered outdoor seating but we enjoyed the food to go.
Delicious small plates for sharing and a great selection of wines you don't see anywhere else!!
One of the top 3 restaurants in town right now. Excellent service, not pretentious, comfy seating, great atmosphere and...the mezze was delicious - EVERYTHING we tried was excellent. 3 of us had 3 mezze plates each to share - just perfect. The Duck legs were to die for, too.
This place is my favorite restaurant. Kale salad is insane (never in my life did I think I would write that a kale salad is amazing). Make sure you order a 'Hadley' from David at the bar (imagine a negroni that went on vacation in Jamaica and came back with a tan).
Wow! Great, great place! Food and drinks are out of this world. Yes you are going to spend a bit of serious money to fully experience their middle eastern-Israel food but well worth it. Truly a culinary experience.
This place is amazing! Our waitress was helpful and friendly and the food was delicious. The plates are the perfect size for sharing and the pita was to die for and clearly fresh. Highly recommended.
Honey road was a fantastic experience! The drinks were delicious and served with the single large ice cube I love so much! Food was delightful, filling, not overly so and nuanced with flavor.
Absolutely splendid. The first dish to come out was a game changer. Worried, we wondered how the rest could possibly stack up. Amazingly each outdid the one before. Service was on point: attentive but not suffocating. We plan to make a return visit from Connecticut. You won’t be disappointed.
This just might be my favorite restaurant I tried while visiting burlington. The food and atmosphere were fantastic and I enjoyed every dish we ordered. The menu offered a very wide variety of choices so I'm sure most people should be able to find something they enjoy.
Delicious, creative, well executed food and cocktails. Great for sharing as most of the menu is small plates. My favorite restaurant in town.
Holy smokes! The food here is SO GOOD. The service was prompt and incredibly friendly. And the patio allows dogs. Definitely a great experience at this restaurant!
Amazing food, super fresh and using the best ingredients from local farms. The service is always top-notch, efficient, and very adept at accommodating food allergies and dietary restrictions.
Good food here. I tried so many wonderfull dishes that i cannot decide which i liked best. Wonderful waitress who explained everything and was very patient. I look forward to returning!
Possibly the best food I've ever tasted. Mediterranean based menu, and Homey Road nails every dish.
Menu is small plate style, so you can try everything. And you should.
Simply put amazing, I'll start by saying that the deserts were fascinating and intriguing yet so elegant and delightful. Not to say that the rest of dinner was anything less. All the flavors came together perfectly, the corn falafel special melts in your mouth.100% would Reccomend to anyone who is looking for an incredible dinner, service was on point, our server Courtney was phenomenal. Next Time we are in burlington we will be back !!
Cozy, upscale restaurant in the heart of downtown Burlington. The food is phenomenal and lovingly prepared. Honey Road is a great place to share delicious food with good company. Can't recommend enough!
Great food, a bit expensive for portion size but not unexpected for high dining. Would eat here again but expect to have a pretty expensive (or smaller) dinner. Quality is exceptional.
Amazing food, amazing service! My friends and I went here a few days ago and had no complaints. Will definitely return, 100% recommend.
An incredible addition to the already strong Burlington dining scene. From day one, the food has been top-notch. The menu evolves through the season, so there is always something new to try. My favorites so far are the carrot tzatziki, goat cheese stuffed dates, lamb dolmas and fattoush. Also, the specialty cocktails are quite special and delicious - the dessert drinks are a perfect pairing to the amazing treats the kitchen serves up - try tahini ice cream or the baklava. The space is lovely with high ceilings and simple, tasteful decor. A must-visit when dining in Burligton!
Great spot. Great wine. Fantastic food and service. Can’t wait to come back.
Menu looked limited but everything was delicious and our server was super friendly and helpful.
Looking forward to returning here. What an amazing place to have in our small City. Dining here is an experience not a place to go to eat. Go here when you want to thrill your palate and your dinner partner's.
A church street gem! I LOVE the food and wine here— super authentic and I don’t think I’ve ever ordered anything I didn’t like. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff. Worth the price, I promise ☺️
Enjoyed a fantastic dinner with coworkers. We were surprised at how small some of the plates were but after 8 plates between 5 of us, we were stuffed. If your willing to spend a little more for a couple of extra plates it's worth it.
I was passing through Vt and was told about this restaurant and I was greeted by an amazing young man, Raymond Looney. What an incredible young man. He welcomed me w a smile and made me instantly feel so welcomed. He was engaging and initiated conversation with kindness. He did everything to make our experience one that I will never forget. What gift you have to have him on your team. Raymond thank you young man. Sincerely a very Happy customer!
In many senses describing the soaring heights to which this establishment flew, gastro-experientially, of course, is impossible. In another, more literal, textual sense though, it is. Exquisite - scrumptious, divine; definition not of the eatery as a whole, but of the immaculate wings created therein - think of these as praises sung not as review of Mary herself, but of Her divine progeny. To call these wings simply art would be to spurn the holistic decadence which one finds oneself wrapped in upon embarking. Sweet, savory, crispy, toasty, all dance on the palate in harmony, leaving one in a reverie, bound only to this mortal earth by the lingering warmth of perfectly blended spices. To say I am changed upon clearing my carry-out container is not enough, and not nearly 1000 words. Until I am blessed with another fleeting taste of nirvana-wings, I salute you.
So good, from the cocktails to dessert. Hard to pick highlights, but the whipped feta with honey, harissa wings with lime labne, fried quail, lamb dolmas, were excellent. The winter daiquiri with lime, strega and vanilla rum also yummy. Definitely a new addition to the must do list in Burlington. We'll be back.
Came for dinner after a day on the slopes. Waiter recommends 2-3 meze per person. We over ordered and just took home leftovers.
chefs kiss. vibes are immaculate.
Seriously the best ever! My favorite chicken wings. I am allergic to nuts and I greatly appreciate the care and consideration their staff has with allergies!
Got the lamb pide and wings for take out. While both were great, we enjoyed the pide slightly more than the wings. Overall good place!
This is my second time eating here and I love it! They made me feel so welcomed and I appreciate that more then you know. We were able to eat outside and listen to jazz at the same time. The chicken wings are delicious along with the fresh spanakopita. You have to try the fresh tahini along with the pita. I think because of covid you have to place your order at the side of Maine & Church and they bring it to you. They serve tapas here! The only thing for me is I wasn’t crazy about the selection by the glass but you can always purchase a bottle and take it home if you don’t finish it. Next time I’ll order a bottle 😝 now that I know. Cheers!!!
They serve a wonderful variety of creative blends of flavors and textures. And the small plates allow you to try several dishes. It was amazing!
If your pockets are full of cash, absolutely divine. Food was super delicious and service was excellent. Highly recommend. One of the best places I’ve eaten in Burlington in quite a while.
One of the best restaurants in Burlington. Everyone should try the harissa chicken wings. Honey Road is a great place to share a meal with your friends and/or significant other.
Great food. The dips and pita were great but don't skip the pide: it's like a pizza boat of awesomeness.
Love this place! Great selections of food they offer. Unique experience. Perfect portion for each dishes. Highly recommended.
Excellent food! Wonderful juxtaposition of flavors and very creative concoctions. Now I understand why it's so hard to get a reservation!
The experience was superb. You can tell the entire staff, from the servers to the cooks, are passionate about good food. I can’t wait to return.
Food wonderful, atmosphere wonderful, staff wonderful. But so dissappointed in music. Contemporary Musak aka the elevator. There are local middle eastern musicians and some I know in NY. That kind of music would compliment your wonderful atmosphere beautifullly and complete the out of this country experience.
Although this place is on the expensive side, the food and service are fantastic. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic, the food is creative, satisfying and delicious, and the space is comfortable. This is a wonderful spot for a special night out, to treat yourself, or for a date.
I was just kidding btw, the food was great, special the bread, and the long thingy (lamb+eges+chess) was delicious, the sea food was good, but dolma was decent, maybe not the same of my country thats why taste weird, the only thing i did not like is the water, was taste bad. I see the price was in middle, worth to try again, the staff was helpful and quick respond.( sorry for my broken english)
Food was amazing.. staff was super rushed. Never took our dirty plates. Had a reservation and gave a crappy table. The place was hot busy enough to squeeze ppl in together
Do you like to spend money and leave hungry? Then this is your place! Mezze does not and should not mean "tiny." This ain't Per Se. Food is fine generally but value just isn't there. Lots of people want it to be great but it just isn't.
Exceptional dining experience. From wings, chick pea, and dolma appetizers, Quail, asperagus, and pide, the flavors were culinary expertise. Thank you, Courtney, for great pairing suggestions.
Simply superb. A must try on Church St.
Great atmosphere. Unique Mediterranean tapas style dishes. Servers are very informative & willing to explain the menu.
Always excellent. On pricey side (but worth it) and usually requires a reservation well in advance. The staff and food have always been great.
This Turkish food here is surprisingly authentic and supremely delicious. And, the red-headed bartender was friendly, helpful, gave great recommendations and was awesome!
Fantastic food, drinks, staff, and atmosphere. While it's on the more expensive side, it is worth every penny! If you are planning on stopping by, definitely make a reservation as this spot fills up fast.
Delicious food and great service!
Sampled six dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them! Wonderful dining experience but be prepared to talk loudly.
Amazing, amazing food. Wonderful service and an owner who cares about their employees. Can't wait to go back!
Great competent service with clear wait times and good seating. Going to bring my NY City foodie friends here so I look like I know what I'm doing. Try the lamb kabob.
My wife and I stopped in for dinner while touring the area. The food was absolutely wonderful and the wait staff could not have been more pleasant. Thank you for a great evening. Michael & Laura
With takeout this good, I can’t wait for COVID to be over so I can eat here again. Delicious food full of flavors and a super friendly staff, I can recommend Honey Road enough.
Eclectic flavorful dishes to share. Impeccable service, creative seasonal cocktails. I enjoyed every bite and sip.
Definitely not Oleana levels of meal, but pretty good.
Good spot to grab some food or people watch during the day or at night. Lots of shops and people around in the summer
Amazing food and a unique and suprising wine collection keeps us coming back. Reservations required, it is always busy.
I've been to many exotic restaurants! This one is not good. Small portions! expensive food! Not great quality. Won't goagain.
many interesting options! the sweet potato brik (sp?) is amazing.
BEST food in Burlington. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options as well, which I love!
Excellent food and service ☺️
Favorite restaurant in Vermont; so glad they’ve found a way to weather the pandemic and super excited for patio seating now that it’s warmer. 🥰🙌 …
Worth the wait if need be. Friendly service that is only bested by the fantastic food. Nice wines by the glass.
Ordered there donuts. Super delicious.
AMAZING food, every time, plus a fantastic wine list and really fun, delicious cocktails. I love Honey!!
Had the pleasure of experiencing this place during their "shake down" opening. Wonderful staffing and a varied menu have them deserving the James Beard recognition.
Excellent small plates to share, friendly staff. Be sure to get items that are in season and get something made by the fantastic pastry chef!
OMG, where do I start. Baba ganoush, hummus, garlic knots... And those are just the apps! Mezzas are amazing with the cauliflower, lamb, and falafel. Just amazing!
Very pleasant staff, very tasty drinks, and a really good vibe. Haven't had the food to really know, but it sounded very tasty
Great food. Very unique menu. Excellent cocktails. Overall wonderful restaurant.
Great time at this location. Food was delicious, customer service was terrific. Loved the atmosphere, enjoyed to go food items.
The staff knowledge of the menu is incredible and and the food superb.
A very fun shared dinning experience.
Well thought out small plates that will satisfy the foodies in your party. Interesting flavors that excite the palate without being over the top
Best food I have had in Burlington. Non vegetarian options are better though. Kale salad is a must have
Great service and cocktails! The patio was perfect for a summer evening. The muhammara was delicious.

Delicious, unique menu. Highly recommended and definitely make a reservation.
It was a neat experience and delicious food to share with friends.
Absolutely excellent, one of the best octopus dishes I've ever eaten.
Overpriced and pretentious. Food is, of course, excellent. It did not "fit" its decor or surroundings. Will not return.
All the dishes we had were delicious. Service was great.
Such a wonderful dining experience! The staff is amazing, the food is to die for!
Excellent food, great menu and friendly service. This was a great little discovery.
Halibut was amazing! Everyone loved their food.
Nice friendly place, Mediterranean cuisine but very small portions.
This place is special. I wish the ambience was slightly cozier, but the food is so good it doesn't really matter.
Very nicely made and presented food with some delicious donuts.
Great tapps. The flavors are amazing.
Nice tasting mezes, good atmosphere. A great surprise during travels.
Doughnuts are worth the wait. Coffee is great too.
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere! The finger food style is a great idea
Very small portions for the price. I mean extremely small. Would not go back
Delicious small plates, and a mighty fine cocktail and beer list.
This place is unbelievable. Go with a big group (6-8 people) and try as many dishes as you can!

Delicious!!!
EXQUISITE.
Cramped, expensive for small amount of food (and waited over 90m for it). Online service fee is ridiculous. Ended up buying more food elsewhere
I visited here last year with a friend on her recommendation. Excellent. Went by myself again last week, Perfect. Great restaurant.
The food, service, and vibes are all incredible. We ordered spanakopita, baba ganoosh, falafel, mushroom mussakan, baklava, and zaatar garlic knot. The spanakopita is a must! Everything is fresh and packed with flavor.
Owen was our waiter, and he was so awesome.
Best restaurant in Burlington
For vermont, it's good. It's mediocre if you've traveled outside of vt. The portions are small. Not a good value for the portion size. There are other places you can get same quality food at a better price. I would say try it at least once. Top restaurants for me would be single pebble, eb strongs, and pascolo. Almost $200 for 2 people. Single pebble was the sMe price with like 8 coarse.
Excellent small plates with Mediterranean influence.
