Chicken poutine: yummy and filling. Wings: flavor is just ok, not amazing but not bad. Cajun Fries: crispy and flavorful although a bit on the saltier side. Chicken Lemon Herb Wrap: not that great. Basically a salad with lemon vinaigrette in a wrap and it fell apart pretty easily

Went to Charlie’s twice already on the same week! Ordered a whole roast chicken and pasta salad as a side. They were so good that we went back to try their wings and ribs. We were not disappointed at all. Everything was very good and prices were decent.

This is our favorite go to for a quick but substantial take out meal. Raised in the south, I crave southern coleslaw. 🐔 Charlie's creamy slaw is the closest I've found in Northern Vermont. The fried chicken is also solid. Everything we've ever ordered has been consistently prepared well & ready for easy pickup. These guys are a staple for our busy household. Thank you. EDIT: still good but the last few pickups have been lacking. Wrong items added to order & dried out chicken. We'll try them again but attention to quality has diminished a bit.

I stayed at a hotel in the area recently. I found out Chicken Charlie's delivers. I ordered the hearty chicken soup, and a pulled pork barbecue sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious! I didn't get a picture of the sandwich, but trust me it was good. Also I was shocked at how fast they delivered! I guess I called him at a good time. It seems like he showed up at my door within 15 minutes of me calling.

Visiting Burlington and ran across Chicken Charlie's. 🐔 and stopped in for a bite. Ordered the usual burger and fries. I was not aware the fries came with gravy.. an odd sauce being from the west coast, but it was OK. Other than that it was just a burger stand. Not great, but not bad.

We ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and a buffalo chicken salad. Both were excellent. The fries were incredible. We just flew in and this was our first stop, so glad we were able to support this business. The manager and the staff were so accommodating. We would definitely come back again. This place is a must when in town, especially if you love chicken.

Ooooooh! Let me say that again, ooooooh!!! My first time there, second for the rest of my family and my goodness, it was so delicious!! We ordered the giant ultimate feast which is a total value for the money. We ordered a bit too much but who doesn't love leftovers? My husband and I ordered from here twice when he worked in Vermont November 2020 so I will be including reviews for both orders… ———————— First “visit” - November 1st, 2020 My husband and I love BBQ so figured we would give them a try. I got the 8 bone ribs with two sides and he got the wings and ribs. We both got the mashed potatoes. My husband couldn't eat his because of the chives so I had them for left overs. The baked beans were really good and my husband liked the Mac and cheese. The ribs were really good (I had them for leftovers) and my husband said the wings were decent. The roll was okay and the gravy reminded me a lot of the Swiss Chalet gravy (being a Canadian) which my husband didn’t like but I do. We had curbside pickup. Our hotel was with a 2 minute drive. We arrived around the time our food was ready to be picked up. We called to let the staff know we had arrived and someone came out within a few minutes with our food. ———————— Second “visit” - November 2nd, 2020 Since my husband had been working nights, we got our order delivered to our hotel. We had to call after an hour of ordering the food (we were told it would be delivered within 30 minutes) and we were told it would be 10 minutes. After 20 minutes, we got a call from the delivery person asking where we were located when we gave instructions about the address and which hotel we were staying at, along with the hotel room number. The food arrived lukewarm, the poutine was cold, and we decided to try the milkshakes which were mostly melted. We were within a 2 minute drive and the food took over 1.5 hrs to be delivered which is incredibly disappointing. My husband paid the tip in advance so having the food be delivered that long after ordering, especially when we were within the vicinity of the restaurant, was incredibly disappointing. Picking up the food was the much better option. ———————— Due to our second order, I am giving them 2.5-3 stars. Our first time eating here was fantastic so the second experience definitely soured it. One the receipt, the address was clearly shown so no idea why the delivery person went to a completely different town with our food. Edit - the restaurant asked us to call about the issues we had and wanted us to drop in but we were already heading home at this point. They offered to send us a gift card for our problems but it never arrived.

Just wanted to say, this is a good restaurant for fast food. For me, it is (almost) always delicious --Montreal style--from the start ( lived here in SB when it opened). Sure, sometimes they're overwhelmed with orders--they're human beings. Employees work very hard to deliver you a good meal. Lighten up folks--if not, go somewhere else!

I came to Vermont on a company trip. This is the most positive takeaway I have. I ordered the cheeseburger Mac and Cheese and didn't get what I was expecting. IT WAS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED!!! Chunks of hamburger served on a bed of perfectly cooked macaroni with cheese melted on top of the hamburger and in the macaroni! It's some of the best food I have ever eaten. I would give this place 10 stars if I could.

This has been my family's go to dinner night. We get the meal deal and everyone is happy. Great wings rotisserie chicken was on point and the ribs were perfect. I'm not proud of how much food I eat Everytime we get this. But I am satisfied. 10/10 recommend EVERYTIME.

Amazing deals for the amount of food you get! The chicken was fresh and they have wonderful sauces that taste made in house. I got a full lunch meal and it was under $20, which included a drink 2 sides lots of chicken and a roll with sauces. I had plenty to take home after.

Have always wanted to try their food and tonight we finally got takeout. I got the chicken wing platter and my bf got the fried Cajun chicken platter. While mine was good wow his was amazing, I kept stealing from his plate. The fried chicken was so moist and so crispy I couldn’t stop eating it! Will definitely be back

You have got to try this place if your travelling and want something delivered to your hotel or if you're just stuck at home this is where you go for great food. The ribs were moist and fell right off the bone. The chicken was moist, tender and cooked to perfection. Don't skip the chance to try the maple bbq sauce because it takes a Vermont staple to a whole new level. The chicken gravy included with the fries is a tasty alternative to the usual ketchup! They delivered directly to our hotel room which is an awesome perk in the social distancing world we live it today. Tip your delivery person well. This place is well worth a try!!

Food was great! I got a large salad with chicken and it was delicious and couldn’t eat it all. I also got chicken tenders that were very good. Jalapeño poppers were awesome too. I ordered online for curbside pick up. I got there and they brought out my food in under 5 mins. Wish I had discovered this place sooner.

Not enough positive things to say about this restaurant. I absolutely love coming to this place, from the friendly workers, to the amazing food. I can honestly say that there isn't anything on the menu that I wouldn't recommend. The service is wonderful, they have a lady at the front named Jen who is as friendly as can be and always has a smile on her face. I really enjoy seeing her when I come in. The food is wonderful, if you are thinking that this is fast food you are mistaken. This is a more sit-down atmosphere and the food quality shows the same. Their chicken is so good! I have gotten the tenders, the rotisserie chicken is full of flavor and is so juicy. Let's talk about sides for a second. Their potatoes are made each day and you can tell how fresh they are. I would say if you have the chance, Go!

Changed to 4 stars from 3 after enjoying leftover fried chicken breast 2 days later. Chicken breasts are the most difficult to get fresh, juicy and tender when cooked with the other parts. That's exactly what they achieved with crispy & flavorful seasoning! Not sure if the secret was to fry each piece separately. Whatever it is it worked! My brother chose Chicken Charlie's for his birthday dinner & ordered the Family Feast with rotisserie chicken, chicken wings, rolls, mash potatoes, Montreal slaw & French fries. Everyone seemed to enjoy & noted the wings were spicy! I had the fried half chicken which came with 2 sides, roll and gravy. Fries, Montreal slaw plus extra Mac and cheese. The slaw with vinegar was my favorite. This is counter service and then meal brought to your table with very little wait. Pretty typical fast food atmosphere. The staff was friendly and helpful. Have had take out for work lunches, but this was my first time eating in the restaurant.

Chuck's is fantastic. I order carryout from this place at least two or three times a week. The food is always hot and delicious. The portion size is quite large too, which is perfect for me. My favorite things on the menu include the half chicken dinner, chicken tenders, grilled chicken tenders, wings, and Charlie's club chicken sandwich. The sauces they offer for their wings and tenders are great too - love the garlic buffalo.

Great food! Quick delivery service, friendly drivers with great attitudes. Ordered from a third party delivery service and had to wait an hour and a half for my food to get to me old and cold. Ordered from chicken Charlie’s for dinner food came quick and still steaming right to my front door. Again drivers have great attitudes so I had to tip well.

The food was delicious and arrived quick thanks to a polite delivery driver. I would've given 5 stars but they forgot to give me the baked beans and French fries we ordered. We have to date tried: their Ribs (tasty but small), burgers (delicious and big), amazing maple bbq wings, fried chicken (crispy and tasty), chicken strips ( huge and dripping with great flavor glazes), and a vast selection of great sides. Thier gravy is beyond reproach, the rotisserie chicken is moist and flavorful, and their prices are very reasonable. I took away a second star because I just ordered the sirloin tips and for $20 I got 6 small pieces (size of a quarter) that were tasty but tough. Still a great restaurant.

I found this place by referral. The menu was a little overwhelming so I called in from the parking lot. The customer service was superb. The 3 tenders are a large enough portion for myself with sides and I like to eat. The only negative is that I wouldnt have know this place was here because it appears to be closed. I will definetely be back. Oh..and service was so great we laughed that I was ordering from the lot and they brought it out to me when done.

Once again, I’ve forgotten to take a photo before eating what I’m going to review haha! I had the Asian mango wings, 1/2 lb. chicken tenders with the sides of creamy slaw, dinner bun (with gravy?), and mac n cheese with bacon crumbles. I ate the dinner bun first and dipped it in the gravy side. It was an interesting combination and was slightly spicy, I’m not sure I was supposed to dip it or not, but it seemed to be the right thing to do. Their slaw was creamy at first, but it may have lost its flavor after I had my chicken. The Mac and cheese lacked cheese, but somehow still tasted like cheese-I know, it sounds like a conundrum! I had the bacon bits added on top because I saw it on their website-it wasn’t really worth the extra buck and quarter. For my drink I ordered a chocolate milkshake-for 2 reasons: in case the sauces were fire breathers and well, I like ice cream of all sorts. The milk shake was well balanced and excellent. I would recommend trying to get it a little bit more creamy and serve it in a foam cup during the summer because it truly keeps it cold. I had 5-6 wings in the Asian Mango sauce and 3 tenders in the Vermont Honey BBQ. The wings were served with blue cheese-perhaps the BEST blue cheese I’ve ever had! Not sure how to rate the tenders as I’ve never had them in such a qualitative state, so perhaps 5/5 stars? The Vermont honey BBQ had a nice kick to it, but not too much as to make you choke. The wings also had a delicious sauce, but I wish that the meat of the wings were a bit more juicy on the inside, although they were not dry, so I’d have to give them a 4/5. The customer service here is excellent. They were friendly and accommodating. In the atmosphere of their small diner they played country on the radio. Although I’m not a fan of country, country music goes well with the type of food being served. I would come here again to try more of their meaty menu...and another shake : D

Easily the best place to order Chicken/Wings. As a college student I've order many WingsOver in my day, it's never worth it!! The chicken here is amazing and the next day you can tell your body recognizes it as real food. Nothing feels as good as eating 2 lbs of wings and Mac n cheese for cheap! Wow! So good! I was really impressed with my food here. The ranch dressing is FANTASTIC! It has a lot of dill flavor which complements the Hot Buffalo sauce super well. The wings are juicy and the Hot Buffalo sauce has a really solid kick to it. I also had a chicken ceasar wrap which was super super yummy! The dressing was strong enough that although I forgot to ask for extra, it turned out that I didn't need extra. And the chicken was extremely flavorful and juicy. Definitely the best chicken ceasar wrap I've had around here! Service was super friendly and they had a nice standard selection of local beers at good prices!

Their fries dipped in their gravy are debaucherous and so good. Salads are fresh and big. Montreal slaw is highly addictive. Burgers and ribs are solid. Why wouldn't you eat here?

Excellent food, nice staff. I had the jumbo tenders with fries and side veggie, it came with a roll and gravy. Everything was on point. Fried tendies had a nice light batter while the fries were crispy and both were very good to dip in the gravy. If It was a little cheaper I would go here 4-5 times a week.

I typically order for delivery, and they are always on time and some of the best delivery staff that I have encountered. Price is very fair with a solid value for what you get. A great choice for a quick meal. I highly recommend the sandwiches, of which there is a fantastic selection, and the Montreal style slaw. One of my favorite places to get food from in town.

My wife and I love this place. They have a great menu filled with great food. They also deliver quite quickly which is always a plus. We order from here at least once a month I'd say if not more. If I had to say something negative its that the online ordering doesn't give descriptions of the food. That sure would be convenient if they did, but not annoying enough to give less then 5 stars!!

Had delivery as staying in a local hotel, they messed up my order, gave me zero napkins or flatware. Got a chocolate cake instead of berry cheesecake that I ordered, I try to call multiple times and it rings once then disconnected. I decided to walk to place, down a bit from hotel - and the manager was very nice and apologetic. He made things right. Apparently their phone system was down. Food was good.

This was the first place I ate when I came up to Vermont for a job interview. Instantly became one of my favorites. I recommend the chicken and especially the chicken soup! Very rich. I've been going to Chicken Charlie's in South Burlington for 3 years now. I usually don't get any chicken, not because it isn't good, but because I love the Pulled Pork Poutine specialty so much. It was the first thing I ever ordered there 3 years ago and remains my stand-by. I've eaten in the restaurant, picked up for take-out, and ordered online and had it delivered. The service is always good and I've never left hungry. I definitely recommend.

Good takeout spot where you can see the chickens dancing in the rotisserie before your very eyes. A number of great sauce options, but I find myself always going back to the maple bbq. Great sides - Mac n cheese, etc. but I think the menu is larger than necessary. I liked the poutine a lot better the first couple of times before I found out they don’t make their own gravy, but it is what it is.

My last experience with chicken charlie's was awesome! I ordered online, and even though I had to drive about 40 minutes round trip, my food was still piping hot when I got home! I ordered the Jumbo chicken strips, coleslaw, and pasta salad. Everything met my expectations, But I gotta say, the pasta salad was really good. I'll definitely be ordering that again.

The food here is never bad.. it’s my go-to for quick, tasty meals. They have so many options on their menu, including vegetarian options (their veggie burger is so good!) I’ve tried a bunch of different menu items, and been impressed with all of them, especially their fries which are to die for. I would definitely recommend this place.

Oh my gosh the wings at this place are spectacular – I am in love with the Vermont maple glaze and the classic Buffalo!! Oh, and I just saw that they're introducing habanero mango, Which I can't wait to try. The staff is always nice and occasionally the owner of one of his family will be working and they are totally charming. Always stop by when I am nearby.

Very Fast delivery and always comes hot! I love their fries and gravy to the end of the earth, and EVERY chicken dish is just perfect. Stopped in with friends for a late lunch. Ordered a wrap with a side and a chicken tender platter. Cost was less than $30 for two people. Husband said chicken tenders were great, but I found my wrap to be a little boring. The sauce seemed concentrated on the ends of the wrap so the middle parts were a little bland.

As a resident of South Burlington, we're always looking for good restaurants that deliver that are more than the normal pizza and Chinese. Chicken Charlie's fills this role to a T. Not only is anything they make of chicken absolutely delicious, but you can also get a solid burger and even a steak if you wanted to. Some of my favorites are the roasted club sandwich and the cajun ranch burger. Also, the gravy is one of my guilty pleasures. To top this all off, you can order online, which is often a deciding factor for me if I'm going to order delivery.

If you like your chicken enthusiastically greasy, Chicken Charlie's is the place for you. It is NOT a restaurant to take your date to, nor a place to come after the senior formal. This place is a favorite of ours, but there are definitely things they do well and things they don't. We love the rotisserie chicken, the chicken salads, the ribs, the hamburgers, and the poutine. Sides are great too, especially the french fries. My wife also loves the chocolate cake (I never get a bite). I'd avoid the gravy* and the rolls; not good, not worth the calories. Also the cajun fried chicken; rotisserie chicken seems to be their thing, not frying. * - yes, even on the poutine. I don't get soggying up french fries with gravy, even if they gravy is good.
