They were very nice. The food just didn't do it for me. I might come back and try again. I'd get a double though instead of any single burger. I'd recommend getting a double because the burgers can't be bigger than McDonald's value menu size. Very good prices. French fries were good. I got the chili cheeseburger and it just did not satisfy. Nothing was wrong, just nothing was also great.

1st time here had alot of good reviews. I ordered a cheesesteak cuz I'm from Philly I'm sure I got a cheeseburger but paid for cheesesteak... lucky burger came with onions n ketchup I ordered for cheesesteak . The food was still hot when I got back to work. The fries coulda used a little more salt but other than that it was delicious!

When driving on 1st Ave South, there is a reason that traffic is backed up at the tiny burger shop called Kings Hat. This place is a local gem and is definitely worth the wait. The flying cheeseburger loaded is 🤤 as is everything here. Before going to any chain restaurant, always go local, especially with this place. There is a reason why they have been around for as long as they have. Muy bueno!!!

Always good food, and a very popular place to eat. Expect long wait times at drive thru. We call ahead for take-out and its ready when we get there ! Just walk in side door to pick up your to- go order and you can avoid waiting in long/slow car lines. Closed on Mondays !

One of the last great burger shacks! Locally owned and operated, Kings Hat makes delicious burgers, sandwiches, and fried items. They serve ice cream sundaes, and shakes and malts in nearly any flavor you could want! This is not the place to dine if you're watching your figure, but the BEST place to take yourself for a sinful treat!!

This is a drive-thru and at times the line is around the building. The menu is quite extensive, with a wide range of food. Even though the line was long, the wait was surprisingly short. For a quick bite to eat this hit the mark.

The food here is great and so is the price. If you haven't been to this gem you really need to. The only problem that lost a start was the wait time and having to sit on the road before getting into the drive thru line. Took up 45 minutes of my lunch to get there and back and I'm only a few blocks away.

What a great little spot! The food was awesome, prices were fabulous and it tasted great! We got 3 double cheeseburgers, fries, onion rings and a shake for $21. The double cheeseburgers are about the size of a McDouble but it has toppings and tastes way better! Definitely worth the extra 5 minutes off the highway on our road trip!

A local favorite! Absolutely love going to King's Hat, the food is affordable and delicious, their tater tots and onion rings are phenomenal! Food is cooked to order so there is a bit of a wait, and if you swing by at the buiser time frames the line can wrap around the block. But their food is super affordable and the staff is always friendly! So go grab a burger and tots, and wash it down with a hot n tot!

My husband wanted to go here because he used to get burgers here when he was younger. They are best known for their Flying Burger, which is a hamburger served on sliced bread instead of a bun. It has ketchup, mustard and chopped onion and is then put in a round toaster. This toasts the bread and results in a sandwich that resembles a flying saucer. They also have regular burgers, steak and chicken sandwiches, fries and tater tots. The menu is pretty large, including shakes, malts and a Bee Bop - rum flavored coke or a Hot 'n Tot - a cinnamon flavored coke. The food was good and inexpensive. Kings Hat is an old-fashioned drive thru. We will visit again.

This is a local classic grease burger joint. They do their best but your likely to encounter a long line if you go there around lunch time. Some times you get in line and it takes 10-15 min just to work through the line. Other times they are pretty quick. Prices are ok and the burgers have smallish patties. They have lots of choices for fried things and you can get your food in a basket which is like a meal with no drink but you get a 4 or 5 oz coleslaw. The shakes are great with some different flavors you might not have had before (Marshmello/pineapple). They have special syrup flavors to out in your soda, a rum flavored and a cinnamon flavor call the bee bop and the hotntot. My favorite is to buzz through right at 11 and get two breakfast sandos for $5. I also like the shrimp basket a lot.

This is a great little hamburger spot. This is hidden on the south side of Billings MT on South 1st Street. Great food low prices friendly service. This is a small drive in only with some picnic tables I highly recommend Kings hat. They have a unique burger and steam their buns.....

It's a pretty amazing experience considering it's basically a drive-thru. Pretty good burgers and fries that are made to order and not sitting in a tray, but be warned. It can and will get crazy busy so be prepared to wait a bit. But it's completely worth it.

As a huge fan of In-N-Out burger, I thought this place might be good to try. It's more like old skool McDonald and Jack's hamburgers. The way they used to make them back in the day. Lots of shake flavors but very artificial tasting.

Love this place! Flying double cheese burger with onions is my pleasure of choice. I've eaten many items off the menu and love them all. Flying burgers are still good and hot when you drive home. We always get large chocolate malts, they aren't hand dipped, but they are good.

a billings staple. a rare old fashioned drive through with great prices. i have been coming here since a kid. more frequently now that i live 4 blocks away. you can get everything a typical drive through has: shakes, burgers, fries, gems, chicken, tacos, etc. (their gems are by far better than their fries in my opinion. i feel they used to give you more though) ive tried everything on the menu minus most of the shakes and the shrimp. my go to order: 4 tacos, dbl cheese, and a hot n tot. hot n tot is coke with cinnamon, which is way tastier than original coke. i wont lie, their burgers aren't amazing. very skinny and a little dry, probably just frozen sysco patties. i adore the tacos though, they are $1.50 each, very small, thats why i get 4. they have a delicious sauce on them, favorite thing on the menu. they are known for their flying burgers though, so that is a must try! (a burger between two normal pieces of bread that is pressed down and formed into kind of like a hockey puck, cutting the crust off) i hope this place stays open forever, it holds so many memories.

Burgers are inexpensive and tasty. Little mom and pop drive thru. Large variety on the menu with many options that look tasty. I had their double bacon cheeseburger but they offer much more than burgers such as sandwiches, hot dogs, corn dogs Etc and tasty variety of different shakes.

What's up? I have frequented this little place for years. Always get the tacos which have always been really good. Now, the last few times I've ordered the tacos, they are totally cheapened down. About a teaspoon of meat and some sauce?! So disappointing!

I love this little restaurant that kind of has an old-fashioned feel to it delicious fast food friendly staff if you go during a lunch hour you can expect to have to wait in backed up traffic to get into there parking area to order the food. This is a drive-thru Burger place. Yes, there's usually a line of cars, and that alone should tell you why. Because their food is fantastic!! They have multiple speakers, so that you can give your order even as you're in line. The menu board is huge; very easy to read from your car, but they're also next to the speakers. My favorite is the loaded cheeseburger and a shake. The fries are homemade, the burgers are REAL meat, and the shakes are from the 50s. I promise you, you won't regret eating here, and you will tell your friends!

A Billings institution since 1949, King's Hat unassumingly serves up delicious and fresh food. And cheap! Try their signature Flying Burger and freshly cooked homestyle fries. The drive-thru lane is short and there's usually a line of cars, but the line moves pretty quickly.

If you love a greasy cheese burger, this is the place to go. Don't expect to dine in. This is a grab it and go kind of place. Everything is à la carte and made as you order. The line can get long, but the staff works quickly.
