We had our wedding at Wahoo and to say that it was JUST amazing is an understatement. It was absolutely everything and more. The set up and energy of the place was beautiful! We are so so happy that we decided to do it there. Pam's team is also wonderful! They went above and beyond to make sure everything was how we pictured it to be. We will definitely be using Wahoo for our future events 💜.

After an absence of way-too-long we moved back to ATL and dined here, one of our favorites, hoping it hadn’t changed. No worries. It’s still wonderful. We dined on the garden patio - safe, distanced, and heated. I had a half farm salad which was superb with tasty vinaigrette, and the mountain trout with green beans. The trout was flaky and done just right. It was so fresh I’m sure it was caught straight from a Blue Ridge stream, perhaps by a bear. My wife had the crab bisque, which she raved about, and the shrimp & grits. Our meal was grand, as we remembered Wahoo from years ago. We were seated on time and service was attentive.

I've eaten here plenty of times before, but this review is for Wahoo! Grill as a wedding venue. As a Decatur wedding photographer, I've photographed multiple weddings at Wahoo! Grill - you wouldn't know from the modest facade that it held a mini oasis out back, a space that can be transformed for intimate ceremonies and 100+ guest receptions alike. Restaurants come and go, it's an incredibly hard business to get right (pandemics also don't help...) but as evidenced by being a long-time Decatur staple, obviously the food is great. One fewer thing to have to worry about when planning your reception! If you're looking for a venue that's in a super convenient Decatur location, with tasty food, a beautiful ceremony/reception space, friendly capable staff and (last but not least) ample free parking, then look no further. Excuse the exclamation points, but long may Wahoo! Grill continue!

AIWN Happy Hour this month at Wahoo Grill. On Taco Tuesday!!! $4 tacos!!! We feasted on Truffle French Fries, pimento cheese fritters, calamari, then an assortment of chicken, short rib, grouper and veggie tacos, and a couple of salads. The food was excellent, the service was excellent. We had our own kind of separate section by the bar. Perfect for chatting and networking.

I just hosted a large business dinner here, and I simply cannot say enough nice things about this restaurant and its staff. Everyone was incredibly professional and helpful, from getting the event planned to making sure that all dietary needs were accommodated. Even the bartenders kept their cool when we all descended upon them like a pack of alcoholic wolves. The outdoor garden area was just perfect for our group, and the food of course was delicious. Nearly everyone came up to tell me how much they enjoyed such a fabulous meal. Thank you Wahoo!

Update: the last two times we sat on the patio and it's freezing - all guests are wearing their overcoats to endure. My husband and I got married at Wahoo! this fall and there are no words for how much we loved it. The intimate and beautiful garden ceremony site is enough to book it, but when you add on the incredible staff, delicious food & drink and awesome location…there’s really no comparison. Throughout the planning process, Sydney and Pam were responsive, professional and so helpful.. And on the day-of, Alissa and the rest of the event staff went above and beyond. Also special shout out to Chef Zach for being a wizard in the kitchen and Manager Brett for his wicked cocktails! Not to mention, for all that is provided – everything from day-of coordination to not having to worry about table/cutlery rentals and set-up – the pricing is beyond reasonable–and that is so rare in the world of weddings! We could not have asked for a more perfect day. So seriously, stop looking, you’ve found the one! And as if we needed another bonus, because this is a restaurant and not “just” a wedding venue, my husband and I plan to return year after year to celebrate our anniversary. <3 Thank you, Wahoo!

The service and food was excellent! I love fries and the final test to see how good fries are, is re-heating them after being in the refrigerator overnight. They tasted as if they had just cooked and served them. That puts Wahoo in my top 5 list for best fries

Very fresh and yummy food, beautiful atmosphere. The service by Michael was excellent. I had the delicious Peach Salad with Salmon. My colleague had the Auhi Tuna and salad. She loved it. Parking lot was small, had to valet, but only $4 for the whole time. I'd definetly come back.

We recently had an event here for about 50 people for our mom's 70th birthday and I must say that Wahoo exceeded our expectations in EVERY way. The venue is so charming, the staff were incredibly kind, and the food was absolutely amazing. I seriously would not consider hosting an event anywhere else in Atlanta ever again, that's how good it was (and I work in live events in LA and NYC so I'm a tough customer). What a fabulous place, I'd give six stars if I could. ❤️❤️❤️

Good food. Cute vibe. Although, someone (manager maybe?) was sure to tell us that the restaurant was closed just after 9 pm, our waiter was professional yet full of character. The restaurant has been thoughtful about covid 19 procedures. They use pass through trays and touch less menus and checks. Be advised that it is out door seating and heat lamps aren't enough by themselves when the temperature drops.

We had our rehearsal dinner at Wahoo! Grill on 8/23. They exceeded every expectation we had! First of all, Sydni on the events team was so incredible to work with. Very communicative, kind, and flexible to what we were looking for! They were able to make accommodations for everything we asked. The food was INCREDIBLE. The staff was wonderful and attentive. I could not recommend having your event her enough!

We ordered Thanksgiving catering from Wahoo! Grill. The evening before, we needed a last minute addition to the order and the manager (Brett I believe) and the chef were able to get us some extra food despite it being right before close. All of our guests enjoyed the food.

First date night in a long time and the crew tonight made for an awesome dining experience!! Our server, Chris, and even the manager and chef were so gracious, patient, kind and attentive! We had the red fish and the trout. Omg, super delish!!! Wahoo Grill continues to be one of my favorite restaurants! For great food and great service, I highly recommend!!

Ok .. I’m giving Wahoo grill in Decatur Ga a three star rating because although the inside of the restaurant was set up nicely, the outside of the place was a bit sketch and I almost turned around to drive home but I said to myself I’ll try it and see. The greeter , waitstaff and server were all very friendly and I was happy with the service. My entrée lacked flavour and the broccoli was very hard! The shrimp were nicely prepared and had good flavour! So that led me to believe the chef’s strength is in preparing meat dishes not pasta dishes. Again three star based on location and the outward appearance of the restaurant! You probably are losing customers because of it. Maybe some flower pots in the front to accommodate for the non pleasant eye catching scene of the lot next door. 4 dollars for parking is really a turn off why are your customers paying to park smh. So I did express to the greeter that the food was just ok to me and that’s my honest assessment because I had not been to this restaurant before since I just moved to Georgia from Germany it’s been a hard adjustment. So I wrote this to let folks know about the parking and the scenery out front could be better so don’t let it stop up from going in. I’m sure they may have other options on the menu that are tastier!

Our fall wedding (ceremony & reception) had a sense of relaxed elegance in the backyard at Wahoo. The staff set up the space exactly as we had envisioned, and having dinner outside by candlelight was so romantic. Pam and Reggie were warm, reassuring, and extremely organized. We felt very taken care of and we didn't worry about a thing. There was plenty of food and our guests were really happy with the meal - including those with a variety of dietary restrictions who made special requests. The only thing I wish had been different is that the dance floor not be separated from the dining area, but we knew that when we decided on the venue. With so many other reasons to book, we decided to do so anyway. We had a great time, the venue looked beautiful, and our guests had all their expectations for service met or exceeded. Highly recommend!

Super service and lively atmosphere. Excellent wine list and very fresh fish! We had a great meal on half price wine Thursday and enjoyed the heck out of it. Our service was amazing, with 3 different people helping us throughout the meal. Good parking and there is a 5% discount at the attached wine store with a receipt for dinner. Normal outdoor seating area was enclosed and heated; we were very comfortable in short sleeves in January. Definitely recommend.

Came here for a wedding ceremony and reception with 60+ people, and it was a well put on affair. The food was food, the staff was really friendly, and the accommodations for the wedding felt almost entirely separate from the rest of the restaurant. Even though we were only a door away from the indoor seating. It's comfort Southern Country food with and upscale twist depending on the evening you're gearing for. The location is a little inconvenient in terms if parking but valet was literally 4 dollars when we went, so it's nothing that breaks the bank or anything to worry about.

I absolutely love the ambiance of this place. From the outside, it looks like a little country inn or store. But once you pass the odd curtains lining the entrance, you become immediately mesmerized by the tranquil atmosphere. Please opt to dine out on the patio. You have a choice between enclosed or actual outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside and it was absolutely beautiful today. No bugs or flies disturbed us. It was a little noisy from a private party next door at their wine bar, but otherwise very relaxing. We both had the grilled salmon. It was good, not great, but enjoyable. It was accompanied by some veggies and purple noodles that look very similar to worms. I couldn't get past the appearance, but I did eat them. Our server was very friendly and professional..... overall our experience was fantastic! We will definitely be back to try another entree. Until then..... bon appétit.

I gave them 4 stars bc although this wasn't my best visit, I have been here a few times and my experience has always great. We had a 6:15pm reservation for 3 to celebrate my mom's birthday. We sat in the garden bc the patio was reserved for a wedding. Our server, Sarah, greeted us and gave us a quick run down of the menu. We had water while we decided what we wanted to drink. We decided on our drinks and appetizer, octopus. The drinks came fairly quick but the appetizer took a while to come out and we had to ask for bread while we waited for the appetizer. When the octopus did come out, it was smaller than expected but it was enjoyable. We ordered our meals, which took longer than usual, but was very enjoyable. Mom had the steak, my sister had the trout, and I had the blackened wahoo. My dad has ordered the steak and I've ordered the trout in the past and we both thoroughly enjoyed them. I believe service was slow bc there was a wedding party going but in spite of that Sarah was very pleasant and helpful, as was Reuben. Also there's a wine store next door that does free tastings on Saturdays.

Great ambience and most importantly delicious food all around!!! From the Spanish Octopus which was tender and that hummus was oh soo good!! to the Crab dip to the Cider Braised beets, we loved it all. For entrees we had the Ahi tuna, the blackened Wahoo, New Bedford Scallops, Shrimp and grits and Salmon. Everything was top notch and the service was quick and friendly and very efficient!!

Easy place to find, valet on the aide only $2.00, met with some friends today. Made reservations Sat. They sent a txt message confirmation. Today was a brunch buffet and it was excellent really loved the hashbrown casserole, french toast and peppered bacon! Bar is amazing. There is a beautiful covered patio and an outside seating. Beautiful plants, great lighting. Modern decor. Will definetely be back

My Memorable Wedding Day! Words cannot express my gratitude for Pam Ledbetter and the rest of her staff, especially Sydni & Reggie! These people are a class act! My husband and I had the wedding we wanted and more! I didn’t want a huge wedding, but I wanted an experience nonetheless. Our initial plan was to whisk off to Hawaii to have a quaint ceremony and later have a party with lots of friends and family. We quickly realized that our close family and friends had other ideas and wanted to celebrate with us and see us take our vows. So, we had to change gears and try somehow to bring a bit of the Hawaiian tropics to us, but we couldn’t afford to blow our budget on an idea. We searched so many places in Atlanta and either they were waaay too expensive or the setting wasn’t quite right. Not to mention, we didn’t want a huge guest list. A family member suggested I take a look at Wahoo Grill in Decatur. I thought at first, what would a restaurant be able to do for me, but after making an appointment to see the location with Pam and what they could offer me, I quickly fell in love and put wheels in motion to plan my special day. She turned me onto, Sydni and I cannot tell you how important she was to me. I had no clue what to expect, how much my wishes I had would cost or next steps, as I had never planned a wedding. I only knew what my vision was and I tell you, this woman had the patience of Jobe! I will simple say that everything I threw at her she handled with patience, grace and a smile over the phone. She never let on to me that she was tired of the questions or changes I had. She simply told me what was possible and if she couldn’t do it she offered suggestions, right up to the very day! My husband and I had some unfortunately things happen during the planning of our wedding and I was really overwhelmed and stressed by it all and planning a wedding certainly didn’t offer any relief. For a moment I didn’t even think we could go through with the wedding, but Sydni was right there all the way and put me at ease with what was possible. Needless to say, our wedding day was all that I had hoped for! Let me not forget Reggie! I don’t know how this woman did what she did the day of my wedding. She had gotten off around 2am in the morning and had to meet me and my mom and hair stylist at 7am running on fumes! She knows her stuff and was the constant professional and lead this wedding with lots of patience and due diligence while keep me and my wedding party calm and focused. The food was excellent the drinks were delightful and the scenery from the outdoor covered patio and private garden brought my Hawaii directly to my footsteps in October 2019 with an absolutely gorgeous sunny brunch wedding day at the end of the fall season, all at an affordable cost. I cannot thank them enough, but I will never forget Wahoo Grill, its captain Pam and her crew of talented individuals that made our special day one for the record books. A simple thank you isn’t enough, however if you are looking for a local place to hold a special event with lots of charm at an affordable cost and flexibility, especially your “once in a life time wedding day”, look no further than this diamond in the rough. There is a damn good reason they get so many great reviews and they deserve each and every single one of them.

For years I have hesitated to write a review on Wahoo. And, for the sole reason that I want it to remain this secret garden. Wahoo is nestled in Oakhurst but with all the vibes of Napa Valley. From the moment you walk in you are greeted with warmth. Whether you want to cozy up to the bar solo or for a date the barside experience begs you to baby a table. Carefully crafted cocktails, wine for the wine lover and never is it served with pretentiousness! And, let me not forget the mocktails-- packing layers of flavor and style! I have hosted events here and dined for brunch-- Wahoo never disappoints. The service never misses a beat, because the staff is passionate about food and care for your experience. It's a must. Summer nights ask to be seated on the back patio. The menu changes with the season, but whenever you visit you can rest assured that the menu is thoughtful, the service is on point, and they are ready to make you a a repeat customer! I love this place.

I always love visiting this place, it's quaint and a hidden gem in downtown Decatur. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of my dish but it was a great salmon dish with a tomato-y, garlicky sauce. Instead of the broccolini I substituted with asparagus. I also oredrted the peach side salad that included blackberries and almonds. It was very tasteful The ambiance was really nice and we sat in the Garden Room which overlooks the beautiful patio.

The restaurant is lovely with a very welcoming atmosphere and I’m sure in warmer months the patio would be beautiful too. We had a fantastic dinner, from starter (calamari) to soup (crab bisque), bread, and all entrees my group tried got rave reviews. Drinks were on point and our server Chris gave us a great experience! Good wine discounts on Thursday night. Perfect for a date night, celebration, or just if you like good things.

Celebrated our 2nd anniversary here. The food was delicious. I had the Joyce farm chicken meatballs & hubby had cider braised beet salad (husband ate b4 I could take pic) as our appetizers, entrees were Georgia trout (he started eating but I got pic of his entree anyway, lol) & fried chicken. We had German chocolate cake with scoop of ice cream as dessert but you guessed it, hubby ate b4 I remembered 2 take pic. The service was quick, our waitress was very attentive.

My 2nd time here. I love this place. Location is great. Energy in the restaurant is chill. The jazz music gives off good vibes. I had the same waiter as my last visit; professional, attentive, & very courteous. If you looking for "In-Town" fine family dining in Atlanta try Wahoo! Reservation were at 7:30 was seated at 7:31. Service was what stood out most from the parking attendant to the hostage and waiter; very good. The is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat inside but the outdoor had heating for the cool evenings. I had the fried chicken with colar greens which to my surprise was pretty good. The wine select was okay. We had a bottle of French red which was full bodied and no bad. Highly recommend this family owned establishment.

Wow...so delicious! We ordered take out...the ordering process was easy from their website. The food was ready when I arrived and packaged neatly. We ordered food that we thought may not travel well, but it was all still so good even after a 20 min drive. We got the crab cakes, trout, the scallops, and a few sides (fried green tomatoes and collards). Loved all of it! The collards were some of the best. Oh! And the lemon cheesecake for dessert was full of these beautiful creamy layers and was the perfect end to this perfectly executed meal. Well done!

This place is a hidden gem. The garden patio is a wonderful setting in which to enjoy a bounty of incredible food. My wife had the scallops and risotto and I had the trout. The only thing we regretted was not saving room for dessert. We will be back.

I went to Wahoo Grill for my cousin's wedding reception. Parking is very limited, but they have valet parking. The coordinator and staff were very nice and on point with serving, cutting the cake, clean up, and refilling glasses. The food was okay.

The staff here was so nice! The food was delicious. The location is so gorgeous as well. It's really nice to know that there's a wildlife sanctuary located within the heart of Metro Atlanta. If you want to try something truly delicious, I would recommend you check out the bread pudding that they have here; it might change your life.

Wonderful dinner celebrating our 39th Anniversary. Enjoyed sitting in the garden. The food is always wonderful. It would have been nice if there had been some quiet music being played out in the Courtyard but it was a great atmosphere and we enjoyed out meal and desert.

This is a great venue. The staff was attentive and courteous. The only thing I would like to be improved is the table setting specifics. Before our party's arrival, the water glasses were already poured but the glasses with water were uncovered during our seating. People were walking from table to table. It made me not want to drink the water.

A cozy, down home venue with an amazing menu! Our server was also very pleasant and welcoming. A great spot for the small, relaxed pre-wedding 'meet & greet', where 15 family members of the bride & groom met to get acquainted a few days before the nuptials. Wahoo is always a good choice. Staff and servers are attentive and friendly, drinks are great and the food is delicious 🤤. Consider making a reservation because they do get busy.

We shared the fried green tomatoes, enjoyed the crab cakes and strawberry and spinach salad with the grilled blackened shrimp, and finished off with the bread pudding. All of it was delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive, they even changed out our chairs when we had an issue with the original ones (short people problems). The outdoor dining area is so pretty, all the plants, lights and decor are quite tasteful. Could totally see a wedding rehearsal dinner taking place here. Owners also support their community. Top notch in my book!

We first ate at Wahoo grill, shortly after it opened years ago....my husband's co-worker had a part-time gig there. Back then there was only inside seating. About a month ago (January), I celebrated a girlfriend's bday with 4 others, eating in the enclosed outdoor area (with some of the most powerful outdoor heaters I've ever experienced). The atmosphere was cozy, despite freezing temps and the redfish was absolutely delishous, as was the flourless cake. The hubby and I could not do our Valentines Day celebration until February 15, so w pleasant memories of our first visit, years ago, and my January 2022 visit, we booked Wahoo Grill to celebrate. It did not disappoint. As in January, Toni was our server and was very attentive and engaging. We had calamarie, crabcakes, salmon and halibut. All was the delish, although I found the halibut to be bland for my taste. There was no sangria on the bar menu, however the bartender did a fabulous job making a white sangria from scratch. We found Wahoo Grill to be as amazing in 2022 as it was when we first visited, many years ago.

Rating this place as a venue for weddings up to 70 people. Great setting with a beautiful open area that can accommodate a celebration/ceremony with adjacent dining area and another for hot d’ouvres and drinks. The open area can host also space for live music and serve as a dance floor. Really nice atmosphere! The food was top quality with pasta , veggies and three meats (outstanding steak, by the way). All catering and coordination was done by the venue staff and was top notch! So to get to the point: Highly Recommended place for this kind of event

I had a really hard time finding a location for my birthday dinner. I originally had Wahoo! Grill on the list with 2 other locations to choose from. The other 2 had outrageous deposits for my party size and it was non negotiable for me to accommodate my invited guests. When I called and booked, the young lady was very accommodating and answered all of my questions. Then, the team was great with confirming that we would still be dining and Dewy was awesome and our lead server and the other assistant server did the most amazing job with communicating, making sure all of my guests were served and happy with their meals. It takes a lot to manage a team and make sure the restaurant is following protocol and simply hosting guests with great service in mind. So yo you and the staff I say THANK YOU!!!!! My idea for the garden patio setting was just as I imagined. It had been about 4 years since I dined at the location and this time I was yet very pleased. I promise, it won’t take another 4 years for me to return!

Solid neighborhood joint. The trout and chicken alfredo were really good. The menu is pretty basic so don't come expecting to eat something you've never had before. Skip the yeast rolls. I was hoping for something big, soft and hot, but got a little hard bit of bread that reminded me of freezer rolls.

We had our wedding reception here on 10/10/2021. Pam was handling our day-of arrangements, and Sydni helped plan all of the details leading up to the event. Both went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered and our needs were met! I really can’t say enough about Pam and the way she helped out day-of. She helped guide us when we didn’t have answers for things like, “how do you want them to announce you?” Also, they took care of set up AND break down of our decor. The instructions I left for how to set up the decor were followed to the letter. I couldn’t have done it better myself! They let us customize the menu, the food was DELICIOUS, and they even packed up our leftovers for us to take home in a picnic basket. I really couldn’t have asked for a more seamless day! Food was great! LOVED that the brunch offered non-pork options and the shrimp and grits didn't have pork so those that can't/don't eat it could partake. Desserts were ok...not really stuff I eat. Would have like more options. The only think I didn't really care for was how you had to access the private party room. It felt like I was going in the kitchen and it was small to me for a party of 36.

Went here for their brunch buffet. It was a great and delicious offering though pricey. We loved that they had crab legs as part of the buffet. If you eat your weight in them then it's a good deal! The shrimp and grits were delicious and the smoked chicken was great. I was a little disappointed in how crowded it was and how dry the cinnamon rolls were, but overall great experience.

Took my wife and 3 month old daughter here the other night. First of all the food is incredible. The most memorable part to us though was the service. I'm pretty sure our servers name was Oscar, (very sorry if I am incorrect on the name) and he was awesome! All and all between the service and the food it gets an A++ in our book. I was a little disappointed tonight. It wasn't my first time here but I most likely wouldn't come back. The service was decent but lazy. Server didn't take the time to make recommendations or even offer dessert. The Chef admitted that the duck was prepared incorrectly but yet they still allowed it to be served. I had a dining out passbook and the server stated that its restaurant policy to add 20% gratuity to discounted tickets, i understand that many people fail to tip on the original ticket amount but this seems a little tacky (Allow people to add their own gratuity and you may be presently surprised) Not only that but they tried to charge gratuity on an item that was sent back to the kitchen. Manhattan was very well made but honestly that was the only thing I enjoyed about tonight's service.

My husband and I had our reception here in October 2021, after having to reschedule from 2020. First off, the fact that the venue worked with us during a pandemic was so gracious. We didn’t lost any money and the process of picking a new date was simple. We are so appreciate of that. The whole team at wahoo! Grill seriously blew us away. They were prompt, communicative, and organized. Sydni and Pam were always so helpful and available to answer questions. We were planning it mostly from out of state and required a lot of check ins and they always responded respectively and promptly. The day of our event everything ran so smoothly. Pam was on site with us and was a BLAST. She made sure everything ran smoothly- from the table layouts, the band getting set up, decorations, timeline, etc. I was sooooo impressed! Not to mention the set up and green space itself is GORGEOUS. You forget you’re in the city. I’ve heard so many horror stories of wedding days going wrong and ours was far from that. Went there for my Meema's birthday and the brunch menu was really good. In spite of our large party AND a wedding in the back, our food came to the table relatively quickly. I had the veggie skillet and it was flavorful and surprisingly filling. It's got an aesthetic worthy of Decatur that's so homey and earthy and yet professional. But, you know it IS Decatur, so bring a couple of dollars to too the valet man! I would definitely come back here! If the brunch was this good, I wonder how the rest of the menu is...

Let me start off by saying we made dinner reservations a month in advance for a large party. The waiters were a little unprofessional. We had a large dinner party celebrating a birthday and to me it just seemed as if some of the staff was annoyed that they had our section, and trying to get their attention was another issue. There was a wedding that they were setting up next to us and the entire time we were there, our group was being side eyed as if we were not supposed to be there. At some point everyone felt uncomfortable being there. The food was tasty but I believe the portion sizes could have been a tad bit bigger for the price. Maybe I will try them again in a more intimate setting, I will just give them the benefit of the doubt seeing how they were trying to accommodate a wedding and a large party, but then again the standoffish attitude wasn’t necessary when taking care of us.

We got married here in 2017 so we already loved it. True to form even with current events and COVID measures we had a wonderful 3rd anniversary dinner. We felt safe with their social distancing measures and the food was just as amazing as usual. We got the Garden Party cocktail that so delicious we purchased a curbside version to go. I had the Ahi tuna, which was to die for! Husband got the Cajun chicken, also amazing. Highly recommend for quality and safety. Staff is amazing!! You really can't go wrong in their beautiful patio.

Very nice place!!! The atmosphere is AMAZING!!! I had the crab bisque. Oh my!!! DELICIOUS! Even though I did not have the main entree I desired, I can tell you the mash potatoes and corn risotto were both heaven in my mouth!!! I personally didn't care for my protein. This is my all-time favorite restaurant! I lucked out finding it randomly after a trip to Fernbank years ago and have been back countless times since. The food and drinks are incredible and seasonally changed; it is a locally owned business (along with the next-door Wine & Provisions shop) with the owner frequently working at all times of operations; the atmosphere is warm, inviting and the employees are helpful and informative explaining the menu without pressuring your meal choices. The entire menu and offerings is reasonably priced as well. Lastly, the butterscotch pudding. It is divine! If it's on the menu go ahead and order it because it's just THAT good. I've begun asking if they have it even when it's not on the menu.

My family and I visited for Sunday brunch. Very disappointed. The food was cold and dry, like it had been sitting there a while. Very limited menu. The shrimp and grits were the only saving grace. Everything was underseasoned. Desserts were disgustingly sweet. There was no salt and pepper at the table. The service was lacking, and the price was ridiculous. We all left hungry and drove home to make something to eat. I should get a refund. Needless to say, I am never patronizing this place again. ***Amend- The owner got in touch with me and invited my sweetheart and I to give Wahoo another try, free of charge. She graciously made the reservation. We were sat in the beautiful patio. What a difference! The food was quite tasty. I had a veggie omelet with chicken sausage made to order- delicious. The french toast was superb, so good I ate it without syrup. The hash brown casserole was good. Another favorite was the cajun (?) chicken. The shrimp and grits were again incredible. I did not try the desserts, as I am doing a no sweets January. All in all, I had to amend this review and give Wahoo 3 stars.

It was my first time coming here. If there's a spot available, you can park on the street but you can also valet for just $2. We had reservations for 1:30 and we were seated right around that time on the patio. I skimmed the menu and quickly realized that the brunch buffet was the best option for me. It was around the same price as most of the entrees ($18) and it's BOTTOMLESS which definitely excited my inner (and outter for now) fat boy! The food on the brunch buffet was delicious. The salmon and pimiento spreads were flavorful and the breads were so soft. The shrimp and grits are on point! They put them at the end of the buffet and I think it's so that by the time you get to them, you won't have enough room on your plate to pile up. The trick worked on both my trips because there are so many other forms of deliciousness that I couldn't resist. French toast, turkey sausage, hash browns, Cajun chicken, potato salad and mini strawberry muffins just to name a few things. I don't know where this place has been all my brunching life but I'm so glad we've been united.

Food, atmosphere and service. All exemplary. Our group tried shrimp and grits, grilled chicken and the blackened Wahoo along with beet salad and the gumbo, each was masterfully crafted with perfect seasonings. The gumbo is delicious but I wouldn't call it Louisiana style. The patio is lovely and romantic. And the server was upbeat, knowledgeable and didn't talk too much, just right.

I had my wedding here last night and I am still on cloud nine. Pam and Reggie made everything just perfect along with the rest of the staff. Everything was beautiful, the food was great and the staff felt like family. I am really going to miss these people now that the big day has passed but we will be back as often as possible for some yummy food and just to say hi. Not a repeat. Both burgers were overcooked. Ordered medium and they came out well done. Their wahoo fish was overcooked as well. The quinoa dishes were very good however. Excessive covid rules made for a tense and cold environment. Way more lockdown than other restaurants. No indoor seating. Patio only and the lighting was LED and very hard to see what was on the table.

The Sunday brunch was great but the selection was limited. You could however order off a nice menu that they did have available. I don't drink alcohol so I loved their mocktails. The Georgia Peach was really good. The price was on par with the most Sunday brunches. There was valet parking which was great because there's no real parking in the area. The valet parking is not free though it's $2. I would recommend it.

The wife and I were first timers to this restaurant this evening. We purchased the 'Dining Out Atlanta Passbook' and decided to try someplace new. Glad we did! We had never heard of this place before... coupon was for 'buy one entree get one free' - a great deal and a great way for restaurants to introduce themselves. We ordered the Crab Bisque, Salmon & the Carbonara. We sat on the patio - it really was relaxing. Strong service from the staff. We'll be back to try their Sunday Brunch!

First, you walk in and see randomly placed 5 foot tall clear partitions. This would be decent protection against slinging things across a room, but nothing for COVID 19 (especially in an open air setting). The waiter introduced himself and immediately explained some intricate COVID rules - how he would not place any of the plates on our table, or clear the plates, instead we'd have to place them on and take them off a tray next to the table. Spent a good amount of time explaining this strange process, but then didn't follow it at all. The waiters did this strange maneuver where they would outstretch their arms and be careful not to lean too close to give and take food. This required our fellow diners to pass plates to each other, all touching the plates, rendering their bizarre system moot. Then, we have the multi-layer glove-on-glove situation. When I asked him how often he changed his gloves (not that there is an effective use of gloves against communicable disease outside the medical setting), he said he changed his top layer of gloves "when they seemed dirty." I understand that people are trying to be safe in an environment that may not be comfortable for them, but this defied common sense. Another pet peeve, 20% tip was automatically added to the bill but this was not told explicitly to the table. I'd go back if a friend invited me, but it would not be my first choice.

My boyfriend and I shared the crab bisque as an appetizer and an apple fig tart for dessert. I had the pomegranate char with sweet potatoes and brussel sprouts and he had the steak. The flavors were deliciously complex, especially the bisque (helpful and warm on a cold January night!). I felt like the portions were on the small side considering the price, but everything tasted great and it was well worth it. Warm, inviting atmosphere especially with the open kitchen (different smells constantly wafting over) and speedy service. We used a Google Offer to get $10 off (min $50). Coming back for sure!

They have a wonderful menu of different Bloody Mary drinks, a few sweet drinks like mimosas, and a lot of "Mocktails" which are non-alcoholic mixed drinks. Beer is sold by the bottle only, but they feature a lot of local brews. What is unforgivable is the lack of air- conditioning, and even air circulation, in the back patio area.

I cannot remember a better meal... I took a friend of mine out as thanks for her unwavering support over the past year. The rules were: any place you like, my treat. She chose Wahoo! Grill. Everything was perfect from the moment we entered. We decided to order a couple of sides as appetizers. The garlic spinach and the mushrooms. The spinach was tasty and fresh, the mushrooms were phenomenal. A nice medely of not so commonly served mushrooms. The enoki really stood out and everything was perfectly saute'd in butter. The trout was calling to me from the menu, and I was not disappointed. Moist and done to perfection, it was topped off with sugared pecans and a pesto butter. I couldn't imagine what this would taste like... now I dream about it! My friend had the scallops, which were huge and perfectly prepared. We were more than satisfied, but engaged in a conversation with the table next to us, so we ordered some irish coffee and a serving of bread pudding. The bread pudding was as good as my grandmother's and was the perfect finish to a wonderful meal. I'll definitely be heading back to Wahoo!

Wahoo for great local restaurants in the neighborhood! Had the chance to visit here for Sunday brunch and the food was pretty good. I ordered the French toast that was prepared on brioche bread topped with strawberry compote and cream cheese. It was pretty tasty although it was tough for me to finish the entire meal. My friend ordered the omelette and she was impressed too. At the end of the meal, they gave us a bogo coupon to use on our next visit. The plan is to return here soon and try the brunch buffet. Overall good experience.

I don't know where to begin! Wahoo has "The Best" breakfast brunch in Atlanta. This is a quaint, eclectic spot located next to the downtown Decatur area with lots of flare. We hosted our Founder's Day brunch at Wahoo and Everybody enjoyed Everything that went in their mouth! The staff is always pleasant and gracious with accommodating our requests. They have a great variety with crab legs and oysters on the half shell (for seafood lovers). The applewood smoked peppered bacon and chicken sausage is so good. The show stopper for their brunch is the French toast and bread pudding. I'm not a bread pudding person but this right here is Heaven! Needless to say, since January we have visited 5 times to date. Oh! I must mention, the valet attendant (Que) is the ultimate valet and makes our visits all the more enjoyable. (As I am posting, I'm making reservations for Sunday too 😀)

We decided to dine here based on many reviews here and on other sites. Right away, the staff here is incredibly nice. Atmosphere both inside and outside is fantastic - low key and comfortable. Our server was great - attentive, knowledgeable and just down-right friendly. For the apps we ordered Chèvre Brûlée and Fried Calamari. The cheese plate was uninspiring. The cheese was OK, bread was boring. The Fried Calamari didn't come with the spicy hoisin and instead with what looked more like an oil based sauce. Still, we were hungry and didn't let any of it go to waste. For the main course we ordered the Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna and Charleston Shrimp & Grits. Shrimp and Grits were decent. Where Wahoo! dropped the ball was the tuna. The sauce was supposed to be wasabi based but was a normal horseradish base instead. Did they run out of wasabi? If so, who in the world would think horseradish is an acceptable substitute? Seriously disappointed. To round things off we ordered the bread pudding for desert. It was good. Will we go back? Probably not. Too many missteps for one evening to warrant a return.

The tomatillo jam I could eat by the spoonful. I ordered the grilled Ribeye for dinner. It was cooked to temperature like I asked. The meat was tender, but could have used more seasoning. The compound butter was blah and didn't help flavor the steak. The yummy mashed potatoes and spinach were underneath the steak, which plate presentation wise didn't make sense. For dessert we got the Butterscotch Pot de Creme. OMG! Perfection in a jar. Great balance of sweet and salty.

This review is for Wahoo! Grill as a wedding reception venue. We had our daytime ceremony and reception at Wahoo! Grill on 3.31.2019. From the very beginning, the staff have been so flexible and so helpful and because of that, the day of went off without a single stress. Pam, the owner, allowed us to customize our menu to better reflect our vision, and our guests absolutely loved our food. Reggie, our day-of-coordinator, was so on top of everything and made sure that everything went so so smoothly. Sydni was our day-to-day contact and happily answered every silly question that I had, and kept in contact with us as things came up. The event staff also played a huge part in the day's success; they went out of their way to take photos of our guests with a Polaroid camera we had placed by the guest book, and during our rehearsal dinner (also held at Wahoo) they were so kind and accommodating. Our wedding day was perfect in large part to the people at Wahoo; thank you all for everything that you did!

I was searching for the perfect spot for my wedding reception and looked at tons of places. None of them seemed quite right so I turned to my own backyard. I called up Wahoo! Grill – a restaurant a short drive from my house that I love to visit. Lucky me…they do weddings! From the first meeting to after the event, the owner – Pam- and the staff at Wahoo were a dream to work with. They made planning fun and light and were genuinely excited to be involved. Since I didn’t have a wedding coordinator, they guided me through the key moments of the reception and gave me tips and advice to make the event more successful. They were always on top of it, taking time to answer my (sometimes huge) lists of questions. On the day of, I was blown away by how perfect the space was for the reception. We ended up with about 140 people, but the way the rooms were set made the space feel warm and intimate. The gardens and patio outside were gorgeous. And all of the little touches that make Wahoo special lent a wonderful feel to the event. The staff was incredibly attentive and kept everything running smoothly (even when a little rain shower required shifting of a few tables). We were able to relax and enjoy our family and friends, while Wahoo ran the show. They even had a dedicated staff member for my new husband and me…felt like royal treatment. Pam was able to work with my budget and really helped us make the event our own. She was incredibly flexible and accommodating with our menu choices – even creating a new dish for us – and a huge help in figuring out wine selections. As always, the food, wine and service were outstanding. Lots of compliments from guests and folks who had never visited, but were planning to return. To anyone who is planning to host an event, I can’t recommend Wahoo enough. And if you don’t have grand plans yet, visit them for a dinner out. You won’t be disappointed!
