I eat here a couple of times a month and they NEVER disappoint. My 4 year old ask for the fried chicken and onion rings by special request! Their lemonades are made for a HOTGIRL SUMMER bc liquor in my slushy all summer!

Every time I visit and eat there I am completely satisfied with their food. I love to get there crab balls they are really good, and I don’t know what the seasoning the put on the food but it brings out every bit of greatness. It’s always fresh and hot. I just love eating there whenever I get the chance. Highly recommended.

I really wanted to enjoy it more than I did. Because of the location, parking is limited and sort of chaotic (this likely varies according to the time of day and how busy the gas station is). The number of pigeons in the parking lot is overwhelming. It was like a scene from the movie "The Birds". I honestly wanted to cancel my order upon arrival, but didn't. Each person I encountered behind the counter was personable and seemed to be working to get orders out quickly which was great. My order was incorrect, however I had no interest in going back inside to have it corrected so I kept it. The fish was easily the best part of the meal. The fries that I didn't order were soggy and soaked in grease, so I didn't eat them. The shrimp were okay, the coleslaw was delicious and went great with the fish. It was slightly sweet, finely shredded and creamy.

Food is what you expect, their special seasoning is great though. The inside wreaks of grease so be prepared to smell like grease from head to toe when you walk out. Staff isn’t very helpful and not necessarily kind either.

Listen...idk who cooked my food tonight but BABaeeeeee....it was on point! My food was so hot that when I opened the bag steam billowed out! I live 30mins away and the food that was remaining was still hot when I made it home!! This chicken with that seasoning, plus however they season the chicken had me about to turn around for more! Definitely going back and you definitely should go! I suggest ordering while you're there, it didnt take them long to have my food ready. I also recommend going when its busy to ensure you get hot-greatness! 😉

One of my favorite locations they are quick and efficient however it’s a bit trashy outside and sometimes soliciting can be aggressive, it’s connected to a gas station and considered in the “hood”. Lots of displaced people around.

In Tallahassee we had a place called Hip Hop Fidh & Chicken. They've been gone for a few years now, so everytime we come home I'm glad to be able to get some great soul food like fried okra and cat fish. It's a place for everyone as the have large family meals that can feed many! Our rating scale 1-10: Appetizer 10 Entreé 9 Drinks 8 Dessert 10 Restroom 8 Customer Service 9 Environment 7 The food is amazing so do drop by, just be advised this location is a little sketchy so lock your doors lol. Come here for alot of good/fresh food for the price, good service and fun.

We are from Michigan and my family decided to get Catfish nuggets, chicken, shrimp, and a few sides. My daughter (8) said the chicken was the best she had ever had. Catfish and Shrimp were spot on. If I would have known the spices were as good as they were I would have had them pile that on. The fries were also great. There was not a thing that could have been better.

Chicken wings and little crab bites were good. Need to offer choice of wheat bread vs white bread (ask if customers want bread I'll tell you since it's white bread you can keep it it'll- just get thrown away)and don't give people the end pieces of bread-what I got👎.

Absolutely delicious! Even after moving from Pittsburgh to Clarkston, I still make the 20-minute (or more!) drive to get an order of cheese sticks with extra seasoning on a bed of golden, crispy french fries. If you're looking for awesome fast food, at an affordable price, J & J Fish & Chicken is the best!

This was my first time here. The customer service was good. It was all cooked well, as far as breading and the crisp. I personally will have to get it without seasoning, as I can't intake much salt (I've developed a sensitivity to the taste of it). I'd go back again and give it another try.

I was recommended by a friend. I had the fried whiting and fries dinner. The food was so fresh and hot out of the grease. I literally drove 40 minutes to get it and couldn’t wait to get home to eat it. I pulled over and parked in their lot to eat it. The taste was out of this world. It was super amazing, fresh, hot and delicious. Mind you I’m not a seafood lover or a foodie! The prices are also very reasonable; honestly, I felt bad that they didn’t charge more.

They literally sprinkle crack on the chicken. It's amazing. I'm embellishing....I think. It's just great fried food. The crab bites are a house specialty! Order the generous chicken tenders (small or large you gonna get a lot!) to experience the crack....er, the delicious taste! There is a healthy amount of foot traffic here and the locals run the joint. Respect them!

I always love jjs from the many options of fried fish to the crab bites and the many flavors of great lemonade. I love this place. It's usually always packed so I recommend calling to place order before arrival but def worth the trip.

This is the second best JJ’s Fish and Chicken on the west side — that’s a good thing. My biggest complaint about this location is that their fries taste consistently freezer-burned. You can ALWAYS tell the difference and this is why I will always pick the location on Metropolitan and endure their long line. If your fries are freezer burned...throw them out. Your customers can tell the difference. That said, the customer service here is pretty solid. For some people, the surrounding area may be a little too “active” for their liking. My advice to you is to stay in your lane and look alive!

Oh wow! I see why this place is always packed! Good food prepared fast and always delivered hot. They serve whole chicken wings fried and they are great and the catfish nuggets are a must try! Whatever the seasoning is that they put over everything is so great that they should definitely package and sell! They have the best lemonade I've ever had, but go early because there are limited quantities.

I've only eaten from here a handful of times and the chicken and fries were amazing each time. The food is always cooked to order so it will be hot and fresh when u get it. I don't live anywhere near the area, so whenever I'm in ATL I try to come thru. The wait time is long especially if they are busy, but the good food makes up for it. One thing I don't like and its the only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is their poor customer service. One time I tried to place a call in order and the girl on the phone was rude and hung up on me when I was just questioning her about a few items on the menu. I tried calling right back to place the order and no one answered. Anyone who hangs up on a customer who's ordering food from your business needs to be fired on the spot.

The post stating that the area is sketchy is definitely on point. People loiter outside and beg inside. Management does not seem to mind that customers are harassed. The fish is good and the portions are huge. You definitely want it to go although they have tables, you will not be comfortable eating there. The ladies restroom is FILTHY. um..makes you wonder if the workers are sanitary.

I usually don't leave reviews but I just moved to GA from SW FL & this is the best fried fish, hush puppies, okra, and fries that I've had in a long time. They were very busy and cranked the food out fast and efficiently. The employees are fun, courteous, and professional. Whatever they get paid, they deserve a raise or bonuses for their performance!

My cousins and I LOVED this place! We were visiting Atlanta for a few days and ate here twice on our trip. We had the fried chicken wings, shirmp, crab balls, corn nuggets, fries, and blue lemonade. Everything tasted great! The prices are also very affordable. This place gets busy, so there will be a little wait for your food, but it’s coming to you hot and fresh. No complaints!

The jumbo shrimp meal is expensive but BOMB! The shrimp are huge! I usually get a chicken wing meal, and their fried chicken is the best I've had. I've also tried the catfish nuggets which were huge, tasty and plentiful. All meals come with fries and coleslaw, but other sides are available for an additional cost. A lot of people don't care for the (optional) seasoning they sprinkle on their food, but I LOVE it! This is my new go-to seafood and chicken spot! Their customer service is decent, at best, but for me, the food is worth it. Also, the lemondes are a big hit here. They're "slushy" and come in a variety of flavors.

Food is great. Staff gets the food out at good speed even with the size of customers inside the building and calling in. The only problem is parking with three businesses including a gas station on a busy intersection lot. You have to drive with caution watching out for people and other cars with careless drivers. I work less than three miles from here and my fellow workers live the food too.

The Pryor Rd location is the best one to visit. The staff there are always on point with the food preparation. And they try to get you in and out as fast as possible. I stopped in to get some Chicago style fish and chicken since this place is an original Chicago joint. I had the 6 wings w/ "mild sauce" (Chicagoans know what I mean) and 20 pc shrimp. Everything was cooked good and tasted really good. Reminded me of home!! Tough neighborhood but no issues. My only complaint is I wanted some catfish but the don't sale it like in the Chi, meaning steaks. Just filets, nuggets and whole fish which the guy said the don't cut it into pieces. Overall, it was good eating!!!
