I can't say enough good things about Jon. A cross country move is stressful but Jon was extremely patient, flexible, thorough, honest, and kind. Jon was amazing. Patient, intelligent, thoughtful, and a great listener. He worked with us for over a year in this crazy seller's market to find us our ideal home. He was quick to set up viewings for houses we were interested in – just as soon as they came onto the market. He suggested great options for us and helped us screen out the “lemons”. At one point we pursued a house that Jon recommended against, and then backed out of the sale after the inspection revealed additional work needed. Jon never said “I told you so” or wavered, even after all the work he invested, but continued to wholeheartedly help us pursue our new home. We closed a few weeks ago and are extremely grateful that we worked with Jon. He gave us great recommendations for inspectors and a mortgage company. If we had used our prior inspector we would have lost about $300. The mortgage company Jon recommended saved us about $500 in closing costs and another $300 in our first year's home insurance premium. When we chose a realtor, we were looking for someone that was on time, quick to write up an offer (especially in this market) and someone who could provide helpful advice and recommendations when it comes to the major options we were considering when buying a home. We wanted someone familiar with the region and neighborhoods, someone familiar with the costs of different building projects, and someone who could help us think through different house projects. Jon is a great listener. He heard us when we shared what we needed and hoped for in a home. He listened to the selling agent. He listened carefully to the home inspector. I think that his desire to hear first, then recommend, is why he was such a joy to work with and such an invaluable resource.
