Well this review is well over due! Better late than never! Recently me and wife moved to Arizona from NYC and we where looking for a better life and a great home. When we first got here we where looking for a home and we met Rachel from CalzaCo at a open house, and I don’t know what it was but she just had this warm and very positive vibe that we instantly fell in love with. We decided to use CalzaCo because of Rachel. Let me tell you it was the very best decision of my life. I don’t know how hard it is to purchase a home because CalzaCo made it too easy for us. The hardest thing for me was holding my new home sign. They are great and if I would ever purchase another home I would only use them from now on. And if your looking to use them trust me you will not regret it. Best company in all Arizona. What an incredible service that was provided! My wife and I have been in the market for sometime and were given a realtor recommendation by my best friend. Before we even got to AZ we had a Zoom call with Kristy where we explained what we were looking for and at what price range. Immediately she got back to us with lists of homes that may fit us. She also got us in touch with a recommended mortgage company who immediately reached out to us to start the pre-qualification process. We requested multiple walk through videos of homes since we weren’t in AZ yet and the team was always quick to get us those videos, usually within 24 hours and if not a reason why they couldn’t. I was new to home buying, and new to the area. I heard about CalzaCo from my shirt who referred them after they helped him get a home. They were professional, reliable and friendly! They never made me feel uncomfortable and helped me every step of the way! If I wasn’t able to view the home personally they would take videos and immediately send them over to me and if I wanted to make an offer they immediately started the process and offered their opinions to make sure I was comfortable and safe with the process. Julie Calza and her team/process are tailor made for military moves. It really takes someone with inside knowledge and experience on your side to level the field. That's what Julie did for us. Julie Calza was amazing to work with. As military homeowners currently out of state, she and her team made it ridiculously easy to sell our house. She handled the walkthrough with our tenants, the cleaning, and even went the extra mile to coordinate the repairs of all of the items that our perspective buyers ask for us to repair. We just said "go" and she made it happen. She even sold our house for top dollar despite the fact we were just coming out of the hottest market. I would highly recommend her and the team at CalzaCo. First time home buyer review: So let me start off by saying that our situation involved a very short notice PCS ( under 28 days to exact). We began the process in August while out of state in New Mexico and received keys in Oct. I’ve been serving in the US Air Force for over 13 years. My wife and I bought a house in the West Phoenix Valley back in 2007, right before the housing market crashed. Rather than cut our losses, we decided to hold onto it and turned it into a rental property. I want to start by saying I rarely take the time to write out reviews... but aftter our experience with Julie Calza I have to shout her praises! Our biggest fear in buying a home when we PCS to Luke AFB was that it was something we had never done before. We are preparers, so we did a lot of research, everything we found was all new, sometimes conflicting information, and we didn’t know where to start.. it was very intimidating. When we saww how highly recommended Julie Calza was in the Luke community, we immediately contacted her and assked for an apointment. We thought we would have to wait to see her, but she got us in the next day. Any fears were cleared up within the first 5 minutes of meeting Julie. After introductions, she jumped right in and started walking us through the process, and going over what we were looking for. She went through enough information about the different areas and the VA Loan that by the end we didn’t even really have questions. The entire time everything was transparent, we didn't have to guess what was happening next or if we did something right. She never pressured us to work with her, she just shared a ton of info. We trusted her quickly and were excited to have found her to hold our hands and walk us through. The VA loan process was not as stressful as we thought it would be. Having never gone through the buying process before we expected to be constantly worried. Instead it didn’t even really feel like we were buying a house. Julie literally took care of everything, all we had to do was sit on the couch and occasionally sign something electronically. Very easy, we were always kept in the loop. We even got ahead and asked a lot of questions, but Julie never seemed inconvenienced by hearing from us, and was always patient with answering our questions as they came. It was rare, but even if she didn’t know the answer right away she would say “I don’t know the answer right now but I will find it and get right back to you”. Then she would get back to us quickly, without fail! There was no overwhelming part because Julie had great communication and always made sure we were well informed, but if I had to pick the hardest part it was being patient and waiting for an answer from the sellers after we submitted our offer. We felt like we bugged Julie all day asking if we had heard anything back, and she would always respond even if she hadn’t heard anything. The minute she got the counter offer it was even late in the evening and she called us and explained it. Julie never pushed us, she always backed up her opinion with fact and market data, and was very professional throughout the entire process. We felt like we could trust her from the beginning, she was very direct and you can tell she really cares and is passionate about what she does. Plus, we got her throughout the entire process, we were never passed around to anyone else -- we chose Julie Calza, and we actually got Julie Calza the whole time. When our VA appraisal came in low, Julie called us right after the lender sent the email, and went over what would happen next. We were never worried because we knew she had our back, and she was so determined to find a solution that would work for us. In the area that we wanted (Surprise, AZ) and a home that we absolutely love! And we only came out of pocket to pay for our own inspection. I am confident we would not have been able to save that amount of money with anyone else. Julie Calza more than surpassed our expectations. We never felt like we were just a sale to her, we were treated like we mattered. That our family was important to her. It was more than a bottom line to her, it was about looking out for our best interested and .
