The Howell is definitely a clean and cozy place to live in. The public area and amenities here are well sanitized. The quality and variety of the furniture provided in the furniture package are far beyond our expectations. Moreover, whenever we have concerns or questions, we usually get timely response from the staffs. Special thanks to Carlton who is really friendly and is always there to help us with problems like packages.

An exceedingly comfortable place to stay that I would love to revisit. The staff is immensely friendly and nice. The rooms are streamlined and comfortable, with plenty of space (barring the half sized fridges, which are disappointingly small). The beds, sheets, robes, and towels are all great. They have the nicest gym equipment of any hotel I have visited, plus a very nice business center and on site laundry facilities that, while sadly are not in guest rooms, are nevertheless very very nice. I would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for an unpretentious, comfortable home away from home in the financial district.

Review was for AKA Wall Street when building was a hotel. Great retreat in Downtown Manhattan. Large comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Very clean! Quiet, even though we were facing the street. Free laundry was a great bonus with quick high efficiency machines.

The suites are spacious, the shower space is large. It has a kitchen with electric heating area for cooking food. The rooftop is surrounded by skyscrapers giving a very metropolitan 'feel' to the urban density that the hotel inhabits.

Quiet and large. Housekeeping not included which I though strange but it wasn’t necessary. The quietest hotel I’ve stayed in in this part of the city. Fridge, microwave, cooktop, dishwasher! Keurig but bring pods (free coffee on rooftop at 7am). Impressed!

Just moved to the city and The Howell was great. Carlton the concierge was absolutely amazing and helped us through all of our questions. He even went out of his way and gave us amazing recommendations as we were new to the city. The room for the budget was completely stunning. 10/10 would recommend.

I have my issues with the building and its residents but several people that work there are excellent and would deserve five stars if I could rate them separately. Carlton mans the front desk in the mornings and is fantastic. He always goes above and beyond in helping with packages or whatever else we need! He is the best!

I went on a tour recently and the building was extremely clean and updated. While this was a big draw, our leasing agent Grace was what really sealed the deal in us submitting an application. She was absolutely wonderful with the tour as well as prompt with communication in the application process. We really look forward to hopefully moving in!

Love living here. It's pretty well priced for the area and close to major subway lines. Citi bikes are a block away. The leasing staff made the process super straight forward and easy, and were very communicative throughout the whole process. The front desk staff is awesome (shout out Carlton!) always very attentive and kind and always helpful. Building management resolves problems same-day. I live on a lower floor and thought I would have problems with street noise but it's pretty minimal. Overall 10/10 experience so far!

Carlton is the best concierge you could ever have. He is detail-oriented, helpful, and friendly. While there are certain issues with the management team at the Howell (slow in responding to emails, never take the calls, take weeks and speaking with the upper managers to respond to complaints etc.) I truly appreciate all the help received from Carlton.

I just moved into the Howell this week. So far it has been a great experience! The apartments are very clean and everything very new / remodeled to convert from a hotel as it previously was, into apartments. I was able to rent the furniture at a very agreeable price, which was incredibly helpful as I just moved here from overseas. The staff in particular has been very attentive to my needs as I have moved in. For example, Carlton went above and beyond to help me move stuff up to my apartment that was too heavy for me to manage solo, after his shift had ended for the evening. He, the maintenance staff and leasing staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and its a pleasure to see Carlton's cheerful face every morning as I head to work. I would definitely recommend considering this residence as your future home!

I moved in here for about one month and everything here is awesome. The room is pretty new and furnitures are all in excellent condition. I can see the staff here clean the corridor and garbage everyday. Also, I really wanna thanks all staffs in the front desk. I have lots of packages and they always helped me to organized them as soon as possible. Great experience to live here!

More importantly, the staff and management company have been incredible. Great hotel, nicely decorated, extremely comfortable bed. The shower is amazing: great pressure and temperature, very spatious. They serve coffee and tea, as well as fruits and granola bars in the morning on the roof terrace, that was fun. We could hear people open and closing their doors in the morning, but with only a handful rooms on my floor it wasn’t too bothering.

A very nice hotel. The staff is incredibly friendly. We stayed here for a couple weeks as part of a relocation package when we were moving to the city. We had to pay a pretty hefty fee to have our dog but it’s also a very nice place so it was kind of understandable. The gym has state of the art equipment. Laundry is all Samsung, very nice. And every morning there is coffee that’s actually good up on the roof!

Hands down, the best bang for your buck hotel in lower Manhattan. The staff are very friendly, and the rooms are large, clean, and quiet. They even have suites that have a full kitchen, so you can cook instead of eating out. I will definitely be staying here in future visits.

I just moved into the Howell and love it so far. The doorman, Carlton, is so friendly and made me feel right at home! It's in a great location in Manhattan's Financial District and walkable to a few grocery stores and great quick-eats. There are quiite a few CitiBike docks around, including one on our street. It's a 3-miinute walk to the East River Ferry and 2-minute walk to the downtown hub for the subway, the Fulton Center!

My favorite place away from home. I stay in NYC often and this is my favorite place to stay when I’m traveling for work. The front staff are the best by far and make me feel like I’m home. Rooms are beautifully designed and are well laid out with a fully equipped kitchen. I love the on site laundry and roof top view.

Absolutely like it! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The location is great, with Westfield five minutes in a walk and many coffe shops nearby. The nearest subway station is within 4 min. Rooms are stainless. If you are a professional, AKA Wall Street is great for a short stay, because you have a tiny kitchen and a working board inside the room, and on the 2nd floor there's a laundry room, a meeting room. There's even a fancy lounge atop the building.

I stayed for 9 nights in February in a Premium Studio. As a serviced apartment - really aimed a longer stays (not a hotel for a weekend stay) - it’s great. You get discounts on rates for longer stays so the pricing compares very well to a hotel in the area. Housekeeping is weekly or bi-weekly so you don’t have to worry about leaving items out the rest of the time. The area is nice, not much going on but good food options and the Jubilee Food Market nearby is great for day to day food shopping. Pros - rooms are huge - much bigger than a comparably priced hotel room. Although the amenities are more limited, you couldn’t rent a similar size room for anything near this price in NY. Rooms are spotlessly clean - the furniture is basic IKEA type, all hard surfaces but as a result the rooms are super clean and housekeeping were very thorough. Facilities like the gym and laundry were a godsend for me - they are both small and get busy at peak times but out of peak times they are usually empty. Staff are friendly, pleasant and helpful - helped me with getting cars out to the airport and kept an eye on my room when I had to stay away overnight. Kitchen is well equipped - there is a microwave/convection oven so you can broil and cook as well as heat. Also a small dishwasher which was great and housekeeping left a couple of cleaning items to use so I didn’t have to buy these. Nice small lounge and terrace upstairs with coffee during the day if you want a break from your room. Cons - not many - I had some electrical problems in my room, it wasn’t possible to put all the lights on without one of them blowing a bulb but this was sorted within 24 hours. I did have a room facing the internal courtyard in the building and as a result it was dark during the day and I had to keep the lights on most of the time. However, it was really quiet as a result. No neighbour noise and no street noise so it’s a bit of a trade off. I would have liked a small table and chairs to eat at - there was plenty of room for it and eating at the kitchen counter or coffee table wasn’t ideal. I would definitely stay here again for a trip of more than a day or two.

I come to New York a few times a year and I usually stay here. The rooms are clean, very spacious, and modern. I also love that it is a very short walk to the Fulton subway station, so it's easy to get to places in Manhattan or the other boroughs.

The hotel was clean and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for Manhattan BUT one elevator was broken for our entire stay and I understand has been broken for quite a while. A friend of mine stayed at an AKA uptown that also had a broken elevator. Super inconvenient to serve 20 floors of guests with a single small elevator. They need to prioritize fixing it!

We had a great experience at AKA Wallstreet in downtown Manhattan! Very clean and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. I was also impressed with the windows that seemed to hold out the the noise from the streets below and I appreciated that because we had full days and wanted to rest at night. I would have given the place 5 stars because everything was perfect until I got stuck in one of their elevators and then suddenly drops 2 floors!! I was scared for my life... Whatever you do, if you wanted to say there, do not take the left side elevator!! Even if they said it's fixed just don't take it! Good luck:)

The studio is modern, minimalistic and comfortable. The top floor terrace has a panoramic view of the Freedom Tower and is pleasant: you can sit comfortably sipping tea or coffee, savoring a muffin... Friendly staff. Exceptional view and location: on foot or by subway from Fulton street you can go anywhere in 20-30'.

Excellent hotel-residence structure with very kind, professional and always available staff. Clean rooms, with pay-TV and generously sized by New York standard. With fitness room and common laundry room on the second floor. The rooftop with coffee in the morning is also nice, both in the summer version outdoors and in the winter version indoors. They usually don't do housekeeping unless you request it. If you want to stay in the Wall Street area, definitely book

I worked at a wedding there a few weeks ago and I found the place charming. The rooms with living room have good space for two people. The whole hotel looks new and very clean. The best of the best is its rooftop and an area that I suppose works as a bar at night. You can see a part of One World and it is fantastic for photos.

Excellent location, 10 minutes walk from battery Park and a few from the new world trade center. Perfectly connected to the subways that connect to Uptown. Highly recommended

A wonderful hotel with luxurious apartments and a breathtaking view of the WTC. Well served by public transport, it has a 24-hour fitness and laundry service. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. I recommend the rooftop lounge for a unique view of the freedom tower. The service includes juice and coffee in the morning in the lounge. I strongly recommend!

The very comfortable bed The staff are friendly and very helpful The rooftop is beautiful Located 200m from Fulton St metro and surrounded by lots of super nice little restaurants including the excellent Poké at 111 Fulton St the lessers : The studio is very well equipped but there are no instructions for this latest generation equipment So 30 min to understand how to turn on the desk lamp, 1 hour to turn off the dishwasher and 1 hour to pair the Smart TV remote control.... All this thanks to the intervention of a technician Suddenly wasted time for us and for him And the fire alarm tests every morning...

Wir waren zum dritten Mal in NYC und das erste, aber sicher nicht das letzte mal im AKA Wall Street. Bisher mit Abstand das beste, sauberste und von den Zimmern her größte Hotel. Das Personal ist mehr wie freundlich. Zimmer sind super mit einer tollen Dusche und voll ausgestattete Küche. Alles was das Herz begehrt ist vorhanden. Die Lage ist viel besser wie in Midtown. Um die Ecke hat man einen tollen Supermarkt ( Zeytuna ) in dem man auch grandios Mittag Essen kann. Desweitern ist ein Starbucks, Pret a Manger Shake Shack etc. Pp innerhalb weniger Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Futon Subway ist in 5 Minuten zu erreichen, von da aus kann man überall hin fahren. Wenn man aus dem Hotel raus kommt sieht man sofort das One World Trade Center. Auch hier im Occoulus hat man alles was das Herz begehrt und zum Shopping gleich noch das 21 Century gegenüber. Vom Hotel selber, der Lage würde ich sofort 6 Sterne vergeben wenn ich könnte. Wir sind gestern Morgen abgereist und planen schon den nächsten Trip in das AKA Wall Street. Danke für alles.
