I had the opportunity to work with Aaron and Rachel and both were superb. As soon as I saw a listing and requested info I had an immediate response, literally 30 seconds. This led to a face time call with a walk through of multiple units and the building amenities and immediately sending me prices and floor plans. The call was professional. thorough, patient and made we want to go and see the place in person the next day. On arrival Aaron, the broker was welcoming, attentive and made the viewing an absolute pleasure. Aaron listened to my concerns of some reviews of the property management company and talked them through with me and explained where they came from and what area and assured me they were not representative of the building I was viewing. The fact he was honest and transparent made me trust the process more. After 3 weeks of stressful apartment hunting this experience dissolved all the bad experiences I had had. Historically I have not seen great professionalism from realtors or management companies and to receive this level of service was truly phenomenal and not common place in NYC. After I chose the unit I wanted, everything else flowed so seamlessly and efficiently. Deposit was paid to hold unit, application was completed same day and approval was granted within 24 hours and lease signed. Both Aaron and Rachel made this an incredible experience from personable delivery to operational excellence. I highly recommend this company to work with and feel truly blessed to have crossed paths with them to help me find my new space to call home. I am so excited and so grateful. Thank you for being a great company made of fantastic individuals and for changing my perception of realtors and the process.

I would say he also was very honest and appeared to be genuinely interested in not just helping his broker but me as a potential tenant. Only downside is there was a broker fee, not sure I can hit Brookliv for that since this is fairly normal for NYC but it still stinks. Would definitely recommend working with them other than that.

The Brookliv team was very responsive and helpful throughout the process of applying for an securing our rental in Brooklyn. I’d have given 5 stars, but was left a little disappointed that we didn’t receive all of what was promised to us when it came down to final negotiations. This probably wasn’t Brookliv’s fault, as the agent said it came from the building management. So, I recommend them, but also suggest that you remain weary of this.

To be honest, I was skeptical of Brookliv at first due to the lack of google reviews at the time I was searching for my apartment--I ran into some sus agents and brokers so I was wary of getting scammed--but my overall experience with them has been positive. My agent Abraham was very quick to respond to any questions and when I wasn't able to view my apartment in person, he kindly facetimed me to show me around until I could check it out at a later time. The company also helped me along with the many questions I asked along the way and I am pleased because I got the apartment I wanted! I would recommend making sure you ask questions if you are ever unsure of anything because they will do their best to answer them. The only downside of course is having to pay a broker fee, which for most is expected.

The Brookliv crew got me set up in my new place fast because I had to move suddenly. They were patient and helpful as I jumped through the hoops to get my application in, and they took care of my requests for pre-move-in repairs, which was relieving in a stressful time. Some things on my new lease were clearly boiler-plate (not relevant to my building), but they talked me through that and they were reassuring and took my concerns seriously. I just signed a lease two days ago, and am really happy. Joesph, the broker who I got in touch with through, was absolutely great! He was very friendly, but did not give any pressure on signing a lease. Very honest about the apartments he shows, which is why I really liked him as a broker since that is hard to come by (at least from my experience). I’d rather find out all the facts + pros and cons on the apartment that I’d be potentially living in, than find out after I sign the lease. He also gave a lot of effort to show couple of additional apartments that he thinks would match my criteria (which it did). Very accommodating. I have already asked him to see if he could find a place for my cousin to move before his lease ends on August. Signing the lease and picking an apartment absolutely depends on the quality of the apartment and how well it fits to what you are looking for. And it is really hard to come by and at times frustrating. But Joesph made it very easy for me to work with. Would highly recommend him as a broker. Lauren, the administrative assistant from Brookliv was very helpful and efficient as well. She managed to get all the paperwork / application process done within couple of days. Very friendly and was happy to work with her. Also, would highly recommend. Overall, I had a very good experience with Brookliv.

Beware of any rental units attained through Brookliv that are managed by Benny Breuer of BNC Management Inc and owned by Verasmus LLC. They are complete scammers who will engage in all types of deceptive, gaslighting tactics to ignore the needs of tenants AND are most likely motivated by racist, anti-black bias. My roommate and I spent the last 3 months of our lease at 55 Veronica Pl. being manipulated and ignored by Benny over a super concerning water quality issue. I will say that the owner of Brookliv was very supportive in reaching out to our landlord at the height of this issue, but I am still holding this company accountable for doing business with backwards people who do not care about the livelihood of their tenants. This city is depleting enough as it is.....

We signed a wonderful no fee apartment in Crown Heights at a fair price and are very happy with the process. These guys have great listings and really helped me narrow down my search for an apartment in a roommate match-making situation. Is Brookliv the same as a Corcoran or Brown Harris Stevens? No. They cater to a different audience and it is a transition from your traditional full-service real estate firm if you're used to that. You have to do a lot of the learning yourself and you have to be very prepared, organized, and firm to get what you want. Al was very helpful in coordinating the details of my search with the management companies, but there should be reasonable expectation of what you're getting.

I come home to an apartment where there’s a water main break, and I have to move 6 months before my lease is over, 6 months before I’m ready to move. He refused to give up even with two landlords saying no, and make it work with a guy reno place and kept checking, even letting me call him late asking for updates.
