I posted the rating of 4-star rating due to the difficulty I experienced in furnishing your business with the exact information/details that were required. As a new HOA homeowner I just wanted a simple, privacy fence ... something within my budget. I think the process would have been more a more pleasant one had I been able to discuss the application process with someone local ... rather than a business three plus hours away that has never seen me or my home. I really found the process quite intimidating especially after the first rejection notice and the original contractor (that I really wanted for the job) gave up on me ... after having to wait through such a long process to be approved.

I live in Meadow Bend Community and submitted a request for an approval letter from our HOA for construction of an in ground pool and decking. We had been on a waiting list with the pool contractor and they were ready to move forward in a week. Although the normal process in 30 days for requests, Community Management was able to expedite this at my request so our pool will not be delayed. My emails were promptly answered and their help was greatly appreciated!

This was our first time dealing with an HOA. We were worried it would be a stressful process. We needed approval for a fence prior to closing on our house as we have dogs and needed the fence done as soon as we close. Mary was very helpful and responsive even during evening hours. To get information from pool company was very tough since they were having difficult time too so it took me almost 6 month or maybe little more to provide all if information!

Human capabilities and frailties can fall along a spectrum from worst to best like the shape of a bell curve. Organizations, too, can be ranked on a bell curve. Over twenty years in two different states we’ve been involved in three different Home Owners Associations (HOA). For the most part the interactions between my family and the “HOA overlords” have been infrequent: and those have ranged from slightly annoying to outright maddening. I would rank my interactions with Community Management, LLC toward the upper (positive) end of the bell curves for both organization proper and for the staff that it employs. To a person each and every of one of my interactions over nearly five years have been a delight.
Kasey Marx is one such person with whom I’ve had the good fortune to interact. Ms Marx is an exceptional individual who provides valued customer service: she has earned a place among the very best ranked staff of any community HOA with which I have dealt. She is five star caliber. She quickly verified and addressed the financial issue involvef that had cropped-up in our account, and notified us of its resolution. Her ‘spot’ at the top end of any organization in which she finds herself during her working career is assured!

Natalie has been so helpful with everything from rules, getting items approved for changes to the home and she personally delivered our new pool keys to our home. My interaction with the Copper Mill-Community Management (Architectural Change Committee) was positive and informative. I was given information prior to submitting my request that it may be a long process; however, the quick response was unexpected but yet appreciated. Extra documentation was requested early on to complete the process which I had on hand and was able to submit immediately. My advice to all is to have the proper paperwork to support your request and also to avoid delay of their decision-making process. I want to thank Community Management- ACC, especially Jennifer Touchet, for the timely communication when I had questions and also for their kind and friendly staff. If I ever have to go through them again for anything, I will not hesitate.

When we initially sent our requests to this management company, they were very slow to respond or maybe they lost our requests? I don't know. However, once they switched to the online request system, EVERYTHING improved. Even though our community is strict, I appreciate that and I knew it ahead of time. We have been rejected over and over for a concrete addition to our driveway, but please be willing to keep asking in order to find a middle ground on your improvement. They will eventually say yes.

As I am new to my neighborhood I had never dealt with an HOA in any form or fashion before, let alone knew what it was . I was told a few negative things about having to deal with community management people from a couple friends and family members that actually live under such over-site.
But I can say so far I have had nothing but a great experience. Jody Martrain who is an Administrative Assistant at community management LLC has been a pleasure to work with. Jody has been outstanding at helping me getting things taken care of for me and my family. Communication with her has been A+ . She always responds to my questions or concerns in a very timely fashion. If I have a question and she isn’t sure of the answer, she will reach out to somebody who does. She doesn’t throw me off to someone else like a lot of other people do ( ie: utility companies and some Gov employees are the worst) Either way I’m never waiting longer than a day or two.
I hope to be dealing with her as long as I am a resident here.

She found our application and promised a quick response. The next day at 8:00 got an email stating we were approved to build our shed. They are the worst HOA management company I have ever dealt with. They try to manage properties from half way across the state and have no idea whats actually going on in the neighborhood. I am aware of the HOA rules and follow them to the best of my ability. People do live in these neighborhoods and they do have lives and hobbies. Its a complete waste of my HOA dues for them to send petty notices just because somethings out of place or a boat is in my driveway while i am working on it for a few hours, and that happens to be the time they make there once a month drive through. If your looking at a neighborhood and they are involved RUN!!!!!!
Update: I did receive a call from the management company as they said and I am improving my rating for that. They have brought to my attention how there business model is set up and how there contract with the developer reads. So the management company is not fully to blame. However it is still a terrible waste of money and I myself and neighbors are still having to deal with the petty notices for things that are typically corrected before the notice is even received or the notice is sent for something that is a far fetched interpretation of the HOA covenants. For example when warranty work is being done by the builder and the HOA send a notice for the scaffolding in the front yard while the work is in progress.

I served as a president of my HOA board from 2019-2019 and community management was and still is our management company. While challenges always arise I found that community management always performed to exactly what we asked of them. Through my time spent on the HOA board I came to learn a lot of the behind the scenes work that most residents don’t see, nor appreciate. Most people live upset because they got a violation.. while there were most certainly hiccups and bumps in the road, it was never anything strong leadership and vendor management couldn’t overcome. I was so pleased with their work that I opted to extend our contract with them. For 10 years.

Being here less than a year, it took a little time and experience to get used to the way the developers expect things to be done. We had previous experience with a Design Review Committee in another city. After a false start over placement of a security camera, I finally understood that Mary Pourciau was not the person giving the thumbs up or down over our requests, but rather the developer. I also learned that Community Management is simply a subdivision management company who has sixty (60) or more subdivisions to manage. They might get up to a thousand requests a week for changes to a yard or house! Wow!
I also realized that she is the one, whom I blamed erroneously for what I thought was a simple request. Wrong again. However, she went to bat and got an answer we could live with, suggesting placement of our camera which would meet with the approval of the developer at Couret Farms.
I am deeply grateful for her hard work and understanding about our request. She is the reason for the five star review. In the process, it was suggested we involve a board member, which we did, and their hands on involvement was a big help. After all the pieces were sorted out, we love living at Couret Farms! Thank you Mary for seeing us through to the end.

While going through hardships of losing family members and illness that my wife and I were experiencing, we inadvertently forgot to pay our dues on time. When we made the payment online, a short time later, we received a bill for $5. A few days after that, we received another bill for $45. Concerned, we called them, CMGT, to find out what this was about. I was told to send in the $5 and a letter explaining why I didn’t make the payment on time. I, Mr Green, did all that was asked of me.The $40 was waived, however, we feel we were not treated respectfully in this situation.

i think community management does a good job. The actual job they do is a hard one and it is IMPOSSIBLE to make all residents in a neighborhood happy at once. Some people want stricter rules and more violations, some people want a more relaxed environment and to be left alone. everyone doesn't agree and i think they do a pretty good job and trying to give a little to everyone. They try their best to work with you and get conflicts and problems settled.
