I've only been renting from Elara for a couple weeks, but I'm already (pleasantly) stunned at both their professionalism and their kindness. We spent weeks putting in applications to rent from other places, only to wait days or even weeks for a response, if we got one at all. We got an approval from Elara in literally less than an hour, on a Friday late afternoon before a 3 day weekend. Our resident services manager, Sarah, has gone above and beyond to make sure any questions we had were answered. In 14 years of renting from various companies and individuals, I've never before felt like the property manager truly cared about if I felt at home in the property I was renting--until now. :)

Finding a new home and moving can be stressful. Elara has made the whole experience so simple and easy with their online tools. The hardest part is getting unpacked. Elara has also been extremely responsive to maintenance requests and very accommodating for scheduling repairs around our busy schedule. So far this has been by far the best property Management team we have worked with. They are extremely helpful and quick to answer any questions I have about our new rental. We even received a move in call that lasts up to an hour the day after move in. I was able to voice any concerns I had/ be updated on how systems work and how to get into contact with thr team. I have been looking for a home to rent. It is exasperating! The multitude of property management companies all have different hoops they require one to jump through. This fee for you, your spouse each child. Fee on top of fee!!?? Not a warm fuzzy process or confident in what is happening. BUT, I lucked out when I found Elara. They answer the phone! On the first ring! Return phone calls, are extremely knowledgeable, respectful and polite. Their application was a breeze, a piece of cake. The approval notification was swift and polite. I am so very thankful to have found Elara! I already feel like part of the Elara family.

I've never worked with a property management company like Elara. The application process was so simple, and we received an approval notice less than an hour later--on a Friday afternoon that led into a 3-day weekend! Our leasing agent was willing to work with us on the timing of our security deposit if necessary, and he even offered to push back our move-in date to give us more time to gather the funds if we needed. I've really enjoyed that Elara does most everything (that we know of) remotely. Not having to meet with someone face-to-face better facilitated our move-in process as we weren't required to carve out time for a meeting while rushing to move out from our previous home. Elara Resident Services scheduled a move-in video call to go over the app, connected smarthome features, regular and standard maintenance contact, etc., and we didn't even have to be on-site for the call. Our Resident Services liaison was so kind and patient with our questions, even looking up any HOA terms for our new home when I asked about them. She even explained what the large vent in the upstairs was (surprise, it's an HVAC intake! I learned so much about basic HVAC workings from her)! Elara Support has also been extremely responsive to our email communications. We've emailed with a few questions since moving in, and the longest we've waited for a response was overnight. Elara staff and Elara as a company also seem to care about their residents as people and not just income generators. I've never had a property management company tell me up front that I can paint the walls any color I want and mount anything on the walls so long as we return the property in its original condition by repainting over any new colors and patching any holes. They'll even send exact color swatches so there isn't any guessing! The company also considers small things such as blinds that are difficult to open, close, etc. a maintenance issue to be fixed and not a "welp, guess you better buy new blinds if you want them fixed, tenant" situation. Additionally, the PET POLICY! I can't gush enough about the pet policy. We paid only a single deposit for all of our pets, and while we pay a small monthly pet rent (which I don't like, but I'm happy to live with it to keep my pets), Elara has no breed or number restrictions. I saw so many pet deposits in the several-hundred-dollar range PER PET, plus restrictive breed, weight, age, and number requirements, while searching for a place to live. I felt sick every time I saw a new one, but Elara's pets-are-family policy has been a delightful breath of fresh air. I can't speak for other Elara properties, but our new home is so nice and kempt. It isn't in any way a victim of the dreaded "Landlord Special." I can actually breathe here (figuratively and literally), and I finally feel like I'm safe in my home. Give Elara a shot if you can. I know so many people are unsure about remote companies--I was too, as our lighting-fast approval was so unexpected--but we vetted the company by comparing names, addresses, owners, business profiles, etc. both before signing the lease and after we first received our signing copy. They're legit, and I'm positively thrilled to be living in one of their homes.

We had one glitch in the system when I applied for a place and we ended up losing it but Joe was extremely helpful and found us another property in the same town with everything we wanted and it actually worked out better for us with the location. Mackenzie did a great job with the onboarding and answering all our questions.
