I had an amazing experience touring the units with my leasing agent Dylan. He was very attentive, polite and extremely informative. He assisted with cleaning the unit as I was moving in. His customer service went beyond expectation to make my move in easy and quickly. In addition to his service, the front desk team were very welcoming making the experience feel like home. And lastly, big thank you to the rest of the leasing team for assisting with my application while Dylan was off. Overall, an amazing experience at an exceptional apartment complex. Not sure you can beat this type of service at any other complex downtown. 10/10 recommend Eighth and Grand.

8th and Grand apartments went and did a tour I live in Chinatown and then thinking of stepping further into downtown you could call me crazy but I love the lifestyle and the people maybe in a previous life I was a New Yorker but yes we have all the big problems of a big city but I still love down town Los Angeles and yes the units are spectacular

Staff is trash.. they hire the same people from the same backgrounds which isn’t how you put together a good staff. The first 2-3 years of this building was incredible (everyone loved the staff). It went from mostly black workers with a cool mix of other cultures to literally all Hispanics which is strange because ever since then most of us haven’t enjoyed it here. It’s the way they are hiring the staff. No diversity at all here anymore and because of that the staff doesn’t feel the importance of actually doing anything other then collecting a paycheck. They all sit in the back and complain or talk about the residence and it never used to be that way. Bring better quality staff. Not 2-3 star workers.

I was a resident at Eighth & Grand [Downtown, Los Angeles] for almost 1 year and 10 months. Since the first time I set foot in the Leasing Office, it was a wonderful and delightful experience. The service everyone at Eighth & Grand gave me [since day one] was just outstanding. Rudy Camacho, the leasing manager who assisted me throughout my stay at Eighth & Grand was extremely resourceful and accommodating. Every single time that I submitted an 'online maintenance request', the service and attention I received were excellent: efficient and very friendly. Long overdue review but I lease a 3 bedroom apartment here and the stay as been a pleasure. I work in DTLA and found this Gem blocks away from my office. Great location to work and play. The staff here is very attentive and super friendly. I haven't had to call the front desk much but I had the pleasure to meet "Jay" twice when I needed maintenance help. The gentleman is very skilled and had great energy carrying with him. He went above and beyond to satisfy my complex needs. The rest of the staff is very courteous and always have a smile on their faces. They are willing to help me with groceries and are very friendly. I love going to the rooftop lounge and read a good book. Most of the time is very quiet up there and the tenants keep the place clean.

Jasmine is one of the BEST leasing agents I have ever came in contact with. I don’t live here but my boyfriend does and she literally makes it feel like home for me as well. She’s so professional and always willing to make sure not only my boyfriend is taken care of but me also. When it comes time to closing hours she’s never in a rush to go home, always helping and always attentive, literally the BEST!

Living at Eighth and Grand has been nothing short of a blessing. The building itself is stunning and I am so proud to call my apartment home. From the moment I went in to tour and was greeted by Rudy Camacho, I knew I had found home. Rudy has been outstanding, and has gone above and beyond to ensure that I am comfortable and happy! I'm pretty sure this building could sell itself, but customer service is invaluable to me. The entire team is great and should be commended! When I put in a maintenance request, they take care of it SO fast- like lightening speed! I have lived in LA for several years and have never been treated with the care and respect that this team gives me. This is the best community in LA, hands down!

I moved into eighth and grand and have had the best experience in any apartments I have lived in. The location is key. The staff is amazing. Rudy is the best and I probably wouldn’t have renewed if he didn’t work here. He is always attentive and isn’t a robot worker. The grounds are always clean. My maintenance issues are resolved within a day. It feels like a home and hopefully always will be.

Came in last week to look for an apartment and had an amazing experience with the staff. By far one of the most accommodating leasing offices in downtown LA. Deliz was my leasing agent and she was wonderful! She took me on a tour and discussed all my options with me. She was very friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. She made me feel like I was already at home. I have even emailed her with some questions regarding our visit and she has been very fast with communicating. I just moved in a week. The entire process has been so wonderful starting with the tour of this luxury building. From the pool with the skyline hanging over my head, to the gloriously designed lounge, and the crazy gym that is so huge and state of the art, I plan on quitting my own gym...I was blown away. Rudy Camacho, the leasing specialist who helped me has been so patient and accommodating! He showed me around for the initial tour and even when I was out of town he did remote video tours of other units to make sure that I would be happy with my choice. Since I have arrived the entire staff has made me feel like I am in a five star hotel. I wanted to use the cinema (yes they have a cinema) to screen a film and Li'Derian, the Resident Relations Coordinator went out of his way to help me. He walked me through the whole process and made sure that everything was working properly. He is amazing! So caring and professional! From the start he, Lorenzo and the entire staff treated me not like a tenant, but a family member. I had a maintenance issue, Javier from maintenance was there literally within hours of me filling out a request. And finally... There is a Whole Foods IN THE BUILDING... I had a salad for breakfast this morning just because there's a salad bar right here! The choice to eat healthy was easy for once! I'm really grateful to have found this place.

I needed them a few times and always respond promptly. Jay is the go to person, he is so reliable and answered all of of my questions. This guy loves his job and the residents in the complex. Eighth and Grand is a beautiful complex in DTLA and I love all of the amenities as well as my apartment. It was a perfect location while I was attending FIDM and was close to a lot of restaurants and coffee shops. When I had issues with anything in my apartment that needed to be fixed maintenance responded quickly and were very clean when they came, sometimes I didn’t know they even came. At Eighth and Grand I went through Rudy and he was beyond helpful and one of the nicest leasing agents I’ve ever met. Anytime I had questions regarding my time here or just random needs he was very responsive and helpful. It was super easy to make an appointment with him to see the apartments. If you choose to tour Eighth and Grand make sure to request him he won’t let you down!

Eighth & Grand is truly a shining star in the mist of downtown area. From the moment I walked onto the property I was greeted with a smile. I requested to speak to a member of the lease staff and was taken immediately to Delise (Leasing Consultant). We sat down and I explained to her in detail my current living situation issue(s) and she reassured me that I had come to the right place. She asked me all the required/necessary questions (i.e. price range, apartment type, amenities, etc). Then she took me on a full tour of the property from the parking garage, gym, community areas and etc. She then took me to 2 well decorated models (Jr. 1 Bedroom, and 1 Bedroom). While walking the property I asked if she could show me a vacant/ready units; she agreed immediately and we proceeded to the unit. Once we arrived to the unit Javier and Enrique (Members of the Maintenance Staff) were completing there final walk through. They both immediately greeted me and introduced themselves and then proceed to finish whatever they had to do. I loved the unit so much that I'm most-like going to submit my application today. I'm totally in love with this building and its staff and definitely plan on submitting my application. All in all, this place seems like a terrific place to live and I'm excited to submit my application.

This place is one of the most beautiful buildings in downtown. Walking distance from many restaurants and bars. My apartment is very spacious and well maintained. Jay has been great since day one. Jay answer a couple questions that I had prior to my move in and ever since then he’s always been there to assist me. Truly this is the place to be.

The location to this apartment complex is unrivaled! It is right above Whole Foods and only 7 minutes away from Staples center. Delise helped me with the tour and she was nothing but incredible and even better with the leasing process. I’ve only been here for a couple of weeks but I already like it. The management is very responsive and the security is awesome, they always great you with a smile! Highly recommend it!

This review is primarily for the maintenance staff and MVP Jay. Every time I need something in my apartment Jay goes above and beyond. He is very knowledgeable and outgoing gentlemen. As for the complex amenities I have everything I need here! There's two pools, state of the art kitchen, the gym and movie theater are amazing! The prime location is great as I can go down to Whole Foods and buy my groceries. Shout out to the rest of the staff!

I visited 4 other downtown LA "Luxury" apartment complexes before Eighth and Grand. Like many, I liked the proximity of stores, restaurants and the amenities of the property. However, the real Luxury of the Eighth & Grand was my leasing agent, Delise. She was very knowledgeable, energetic, attentive, and courteous; She was a true seasoned professional, the Rolls Royce of leasing agents. I cancelled my other appointments and chose to sign a lease at Eighth & Grand because of the awesome experience I had working with Delise. If you're considering this apartment complex, definitely wait until you can get an appointment with her! She deserves 10 stars!

The location in downtown could not be better and the amenities are amazing - first-time visitors usually say they feel like it’s a resort! I've been living here since July of 2017. I'm not gonna lie that I've had some problems with this building before because of the management. But today Stephanie Bird helped me out a lot!!! and I can say with confidence that she is restoring my faith in the management of this building. I asked her to help me out with my parking spot because I am having car issues. Not only was she willing to help me out but also she gave me a few options to choose from. I hope she will always stay with this building because I believe she is doing an awesome job!!! I thinking about moving out when my lease is up but now I am reconsidering because of her. She is very considerate to the resident's need and concerns and that is what this building was missing. Everything else in the building is amazing. It is brand new, clean and peaceful, which is the most important thing. Also, it is in a great location. Thank you 8th and Grand for brining in Stephanie Bird. Just moved in about a month ago. Absolutely love living here so far. Great amenities, friendly neighbors, lots of dogs everywhere. Had a couple maintenance items as far as paint touch ups and whatnot, and Milton from maintenance has helped out and taken care of things ASAP which has been much appreciated. Location is right in the heart of Downtown LA, and above Whole Foods. Great experience so far!

I have enjoyed my time living at this particular apartment complex. I have lived here for a little over a year. The kitchen in my apartment is state of the art and I have enjoyed this since I love cooking. The view is also spectacular from my windows. What has made my stay here great is the amazing staff that they have. Jay has been instrumental with providing great hospitality. He has been very patient and helpful when I contact him. Also, the location of this apartment complex is great. There are so many things nearby within walking distance such as restaurants and entertainment. I have been trying to have a healthier lifestyle so it has been amazing to have Whole Foods located so close to me to buy my groceries. There is also a gym located in the apartment complex with really good machinery and I have heard that it is the best gym in downtown Los Angeles. I have enjoyed doing yoga in particular but they also have boxing and spinning available. It has also been great to have access to two pools that are always kept clean. For those of you that like going to the movie theater, there is one available as well and I have enjoyed going to it. Also, I do not take advantage of it everyday since I am not a coffee lover but they do provide free coffee 24/7 which is just wow. There is also a Wells Fargo located in the building for those of you that are bank members there. I also want to give a shout out to all the cleaners that keep the property clean and looking fresh. Maria for instance, always makes sure the coffee machine is spotless in the mornings. Overall, I feel that you do get what you pay for and totally recommend this place to everyone whether you are living alone, with a partner/spouse, or with a family including pets.

Possibly one of the best apartment complexes I’ve visited so far in the downtown area! I am hopefully relocating to downtown LA next month depending on a job offer (fingers crossed!) so I thought I’d get a jump on things and see what the area has to offer. As soon as I walked up, I could totally see myself living here! It just has that amazing downtown vibe and is super close to everything I would need to make living in downtown comfortable. I met with Rudy that day for my tour of the apts and the community. If you’re interested in this community you’ll want to meet with him too. He was so knowledgeable about not only the property, but the neighborhood, and managed to paint the most ideal picture of what life could be like if I choose 8th and Grand for my new home. He was also great with sending me follow up info to help with making my decision over the next few weeks. Definitely keeping this property at the top of my list.

Always love visiting friends here at Eighth and Grand! Some if the courteous staff around. I don't go less than 2 minutes in the lobby before someone approaches me with offers of assistance. Chalae, Chris, Brittany, the whole team seem to be on the ball in making sure the residents and guests are seen and appreciated. You can't just have a beautiful property run it self. Delise! Delise! Delise! Delise is the BEST leasing agent I’ve ever worked with. So communicative, efficient, professional AND friendly. Before I met Delise I had a move out date that was rapidly approaching and no idea where to start. I seldom leave reviews, but after having lived in this building for over 3 years, I think it’s highly overdue. I wanted to take this opportunity to shine a spotlight on Delise who is one of the leasing agents in the building. Always upbeat, positive and with a smile on her face, she always always always takes the time to come and say hi, especially to my 17 mo old daughter Elle. Even though I’ve been a long time resident, Delise has always made herself available to help me when at times it doesn’t really fall within her realm. That’s a rare quality. Be sure to ask for Delise when you’re ready to explore Eighth and Grand and you’ll soon agree. As a matter of fact I’ve referred a few friends to her and they all loved her smiling personality. There are so many pros to the building. The location is so close to grocery stores, restaurants, and bars. We are also close to the main hub for Metro. I’ve taken the train many times to Santa Monica to shop at the promenade and hang out at the beach. I’ve also taken the train to Hollywood for shows at the pantages theatre. When people visit me we have so many options and don’t feel stuck in downtown. Downtown living is great these days with all of this accessibility. My neighbors are also great. Everyone is so friendly and we actually seem to all know each other which is rare in LA. I came to this building knowing no one and now I know half of the building. The building also throws parties often and they are very lively. Open bar. Delicious catered food. Visit eighth and grand I promise you won’t be disappointed.

This review is primarily for Javier our amazing maintenance guy! Anytime we have an issue with our lights, shower etc he is there within 24hrs if not less to resolve any of our issues. I have to update my review because over the course of the last year (starting about March 2018 to current), my experience living at 8th and Grand has declined significantly. I will try my best to give an overall fair assessment of what it’s like living here. Cons: From the horrendous paint project that took over 6 months to complete and caused serious inconveniences to residents (ie -having your unit being blocked from sunlight for weeks, and restricted use of amenities) to issues with packages being routinely dismissed by parcel pending and the front desk staff due to lack of space (and management taking a low key attitude and failing to come up with a solution for weeks), to trash chutes being broken, and now, to fire alarms that keep reoccurring with majority of staff who are not properly trained on how to shut down the system. I've been understanding time and time again, but as I sit here at 3:30 A.M. with the fire alarm ringing in my ears as the staff tries to "handle" the situation for over 20 minutes, I am infuriated. To be fair, I will list some of the pros as well. Pros: - excellent maintenance staff. Can’t get any better. Shout out to Milton, Willie, and Jay. -front desk staff (Gary and Kenny go above and beyond expectations to help out all residents). - Brittany is the assistant manager who is very responsive to emails and always makes sure resident complaints are heard in a timely manner. -amenities are great, including an above average apartment gym (could use someone to restock towels more often). All in all, this has been a good place to live, but it comes with some headache due to the reasons stated above.

I would like to give you my experience of Eighth and Grand and the manager Stephanie W. I moved to Eighth and Grand in July. I actually came and toured the property once in May and again in June. I looked at several apartment communities looking for the right fit for me. When I first toured in May, Eighth and Grand gave me the immediate feeling of WOW. When I walked in the front lobby it was so beautiful! It reminded me of a very fancy hotel or something. There was even a doorman to open the front door as I walked in. The lobby was playing really good music. I was asked if I wanted a cup of coffee or water. I went to the coffee bar and made a Café Mocha. I wanted to stay there a while and enjoy my surroundings. It was very welcoming and inviting. I toured with the manager Stephanie since all the other leasing agents were busy with other people and I didn’t have an appointment. Stephanie said she would take me on the tour but said she was fairly new to Eighth and Grand. She didn’t seem like she was new at all to Eighth and Grand. She knew everything about Eighth and Grand and answered every question I had. She greeted me with a smile and she was very friendly. I was surprised that a manager would take the time to give me a tour. That was very impressive. We started our tour and she told me about Whole Foods onsite and how convenient it was to have a grocery store in the building. She also told me that there was a Wells Fargo Bank and a restaurant called Fundamental. She also told me that another restaurant was going to open up . We then headed to the roof where she showed me the roof top pool. It was so cool to see the pool on the roof with lounge chairs, barbecue grills, and a fireplace. I was impressed. Then we went to the Sky Lounge. The Sky Lounge had a very cool vintage vibe. It had a pool table on the patio, and again good music playing. She challenged me to a game of PacMan or Frogger on the video arcades there. I didn’t take her up on it then, but I have been practicing just in case she asks me again. The Sky Lounge also had a conference room which was pretty cool. Next she showed me three model units which were all pretty amazing. I also liked it when she opened the fridge and it was full of snacks and drinks. They even had ice cream in the freezer. During this whole time Stephanie was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She was funny and felt like she really was trying to get to know me and my needs. Our next stop was the gym. OMG the gym is so impressive. TWO story gym. I immediately knew that if I rented here I was going to cancel my LA Fitness gym membership. It was huge. She even explained to me that they offer free classes such as Yoga, spin classes, and others. Yes, I said FREE. Next on our tour was the pool on the second floor. OMG.. is all I can say. I thought the Sky Lounge and the gym were impressive. We walked into the pool area on the second floor and my mouth dropped. It had the best coolest vibe. It was a large pool with tons of lounge chairs and umbrellas. They have fire pits, hot tub, hammocks, tvs, tables, and seating areas. WOW it was impressive. We walked past the pool into an even more impressive area. There was a HUGE gourmet kitchen that could easily hold hundreds of people. Not only did they have a huge kitchen but two more big lounge seating areas, a movie theater, two areas to watch tv, more barbecue grills, ping pong table, more fire pits and seating area. This area and the vibe it gave me was one of the main reasons I rented at Eighth and Grand. She finished the tour by showing me the Pet Wash area. It was so cute it made me want to get a dog. I would of leased that same day if I didn’t need to come back with my girlfriend. My girlfriend and I came back in June so she could see 8th and Grand. She too was impressed. We leased that very day and moved in the middle of July. We have been here for 8 months now and have loved every minute of being here. I see Stephanie quite often and she still has a warm smile and greets us every time she sees us.

Finding the perfect place to reside in LA via rent/lease is overwhelming and can be exhausting. I have lived at 8th & Grand for the last 7 months. Rudy (leasing agent) was very pleasant to work with and made everything easy from the beginning. In all honesty, he was one of many factors why I decided to lease here VS surrounding buildings. Afteralll, you will have to see/live with these employees for the remainder of your lease. Amenities are great and by far the best gym (compared to 8th & hope and Watermarke). They also have an excellent maintenance staff which gets the job done promptly/ the same day as requested.Overall this is a great place to live & best bang for your buck.

Pros: -leasing staff, resident services staff (Ly'Derian is THE BOMB - friendly, helpful, funny), and maintenance staff (Willie is omnipresent and ON IT.) -amenities are awesome when they're working -location could not be better -balconies are huge -bathrooms are fabulous Cons: -Greystar as a management company has been... underwhelming. So many examples.They've halved the security and resident services staff in the 18 months since I signed my lease. Overnight there are now 2 people in the building - one at the front desk, one roaming 7 floors and and a city block. When I signed the lease it was 6. They so badly mismanaged a recent "maintenance" project that there are now lawsuits on the table. I won't live in a Greystar managed building again, if I can help it. -apartment layouts are a little odd - entryways are largely into tiny dark hallways, bedrooms don't have windows (except into the living room,) laundry closet door blocks the main door. -construction is cheap. You can hear *everything* happening in the hallway through the front door. Floor-to-floor noise is extensive. -There is no kitchen fan - it's just a re-circulator - and there isn't much in the way of being able to open windows. If you want to so much as brown onions, be prepared to have your apartment smoked out and your smoke detectors tripped.

I was here last week visiting my friend John to have a heavy study session at the conference room. As soon I walked into their sky lounge I was amazed by the 7th floor patio view (stunning). While we were setting up our laptops we noticed that the music was quite a bit distracting. John called the front desk to see if they could lower down the volume. After John call the front desk, Jay came within the next 5 mins to lower the volume which it wasn’t loud but we need it to be completely focused for our test. Jay was very friendly and attentive he even offered to decrease the temperature at the conference room which was kind of hot. Overall I have to say that this building is one of DTLA’s hidden gems.

I love eigth and grand! Resident services has truly evolved I BELIEVE now they stay on site till midnight which is convenient too me and have extra staff which i greatly appreciate. Security has gone thru sum changes in which they have provided us a phone no. To contact the Roaming security guard 24/7. They have even begun to have crime watch meetings with LAPD and neighboring apt's. Mainteneace here has been exceptional quite frankly. I can not find anything negative to say about them.
