I searched thoroughly before choosing Matt and the team at Five Star to manage my two Las Vegas Properties. They have managed and sold 2 properties for me, and they've been everything I hoped: professional, timely, on top of paperwork and homeowners issues. Matt's available whenever I need advice, my properties have been taken care of and re-rented promptly when vacated. Most importantly they care about their tenants, too. In particular, they did an excellent job of making sure tenants are not without facilities. When unexpected outages or maintenance issues come up, they're on top of it the very same day. Couldn't be happier with my choice to go with Five Star and the service level they've offered in taking care of my properties.

I am a Realtor in the Las Vegas valley and was trying to find a rental for my clients. This was a second choice home for them but when we read poor reviews of the property management company for their first choice, they decided to try this one instead. Five Star Real Estate & Property Management were awesome! We turned in the application in the morning and they approved that night. It was quick, easy and painless. My only negative was when I showed the home, there was an alarm that went off. There was no alarm code on the MLS sheet to turn it off and I wasn't able to get a hold of anyone for instructions because they were closed on the weekends. My suggestion would be to leave an emergency number for weekends just in case a situation like this occurs again. Other than that, they were awesome!

This company continues to provide excellent service since I transferred all of our properties to them last year. Amanda, Alma, and Ryan have been doing a great job in their dedicated roles within property management. Five Star is great. I was connected with them 2 years ago when I moved to Vegas. I was a tenant under their management. Application was easy enough, fair fee, fast approval, etc. During the 2 years renting with them managing the house I was at, I never once had a problem. My first point of contact was Christy, but I don't think she is there any more...She was wonderful, always attentive to tenant's needs and we never had to tell her anything twice. Repairs and our need dealing with the property were taken care of ASAP. La Tasha took over our property I think halfway into the second year and once again, no problems at all everything taken care of. Matt the Broker/Owner was always available as well and attentive. I can say renting with Five Star was a great experience, and for owners looking for a management company to take care of their tenants, Five Star is where it is it! I did everything through email, but I really had to do very little. They took care of everything, and made sure my property was taken care of and my tenants were happy. I was out of state, and it was still an easy process.

Last year I asked Matthew and Five Star to manage an investment property in Las Vegas. Prior to that I had reached out to him for guidance on a tenant issue. He offered solid advice and impressed me as a professional and experienced problem solver with a no-nonsense approach. Later, when issues reoccurred I was comfortable hiring Five Star to manage my property. I've owned this property for over 10 years, managing it remotely, without significant issues. Local realtors provided new tenant leads as needed, but it was expensive and new tenant screening wasn't thorough. This arrangement was satisfactory until the most recent tenants and a recurring problem with late rent payments, in some cases over 60 days. Looking back, I may have made the situation worse by waiving late payment fees specified in the lease contract. At this point I made the good decision to bring in Matt and Five Star. Matt met personally with my tenants to inspect the property and review expectations. After being assessed late fees just once or twice, payment consistency was much improved. Then, in January, Five Star dealt with another challenge after the tenants gave notice, vacated the property, but failed to return door keys. Access was delayed, which delayed the clean up, maintenance and marketing for the unit. Matt handled all correspondence with my tenants, then coordinated repairs, painting and photos to get my property listed in the next few weeks. After rejecting a couple of applications where the background check raised questions, I have a new, thoroughly vetted tenant under contract for my unit. Without Matt's help, the situation would have been worse. This experience absolutely changed my view as to the value of effective Property Management. Matt has competently dealt with challenging tenant issues, coordinated repairs, marketing and diligently screened applications for quality renters. I would strongly recommend Matt to real estate investors who want reliable Property Management who will treat the property as his own.

Having had some not great experiences with other companies managing my property, I decided to stop using recommendations from friends and associates (never turned out well) and looked for a company highly rated by owners and renters. That is how I found FiveStar. Fees are reasonable and fair, they actually call your warranty company if there is a problem with your property, and they communicate with things come up. Matt went above and beyond during the sale of the property when I was having some issues with the tenant. Definitely stepped outside his normal duties to help me and my realtor make some decisions and work through a few problems. You want to make sure you have a company liked by those renting as well, or renters will not want to sign a lease for your property. All around a great management company.

This company has not been perfect when I first moved in. But had the new manager Matt is great! Very logical and attentive. My move out was pretty weird dealing with Alma some who doesn’t work in the office but remotely. Probably a miscommunication. But some of it seem very illogical. Like I couldn’t fill out a 30 day unless it is 30 days of move out. Or it seemed like to her I was trying to end my lease early. And I wasn’t able to get a proof of renters affidavit until I fill out a 30 day move out notice. But Matt understood the situation. Locks were changed when I tried to get an extension of like a day because I had 4 item in the garage. On the 13th. Locks were changed so I couldn’t get in but I had the old keys. Which is no longer good. Alma said I will still be charged for everyday the keys isn’t returned but I was locked out and the keys won’t work anyways. Once again Matt listened and fixed the miscommunication. And let me grab my 4 items from the garage. All in all I would rent again if I didn’t find a new home before having a great experience with Matt. Rent with confidence if Matt is still the manager for Five Star Property Management. He is very logical and attentive. Once again thank you Matt. I wish you great success in your career.

Matt and Five Star Real Estate & Property Management are someone I would recommend highly for any of your real estate transactions. Matt was someone I reached out to as I was going about the sale of my home. Although I had done alot of my own leg work with regards to the price, logistics and timing of the sale it was not until I met Matt that my wife and I had a truly clear picture as to how to get the process started. He educated us as to how the market was currently working and how to make our home more attractive to potential buyers in a buyers market. He help us formulate our plan and executed it with precision. He sold the home in a timely manner and got everything out of the house he possibly could in terms of price and concessions. It was at that time Matt assisted us with our need to rent a house for a little while as the dust settled from the sale of our home. He helped us look at properties that were in the area we wanted and price range. He showed us at this time how he not only had a grasp on the selling market, but also the rental market. We ultimately ended up finding a home we loved but it was out of our price range. However, Matt never gave up and through effective communication with the property management company and hard work was able to secure us our rental property and I can assure you that was no easy task. Finally, when it came time for us to buy our new home, Matt was at the top of our list of people to call. He worked with my wife and I to draft our realistic "Must Haves" and "WIsh List". Once that was complete Matt his the ground running providing my wife and I with a list of homes that matched those needs. He worked hard to create offers that were attrative and competitive to sellers who now had the ball in their court with respect to the market. However, it was his work on the home we ended up getting that set Matt apart from any other agent out there. We had made an offer on our current home. However, they seller went with another offer to start. It was during this time Matt assisted the listing agent with some questions he had about an exam and license he was attempting to get. So a month or so went by and the original offer the sellers accepted fell through. It was at this time that the agent reached out to Matt because of his help and asked it we were still interested. Obviously, we were and jumped at the opportunity to buy the home. I know for a 100% fact that we would not have gotten the house we did if Matt did not go the extra mile. Basically, if you are looking for the best decision you can make during an extremely hectic part of your home buying or selling experience call Matt. I recommend his knowledge, expertise and hard work to everyone and anyone I know that is in the market to sell or buy a new home.

Very good property management. I am honestly a terrible tenant calling all the time to get things done. The house didn't have a washer and dryer as promised in the lease agreement. Within 48 hours, a washer and dryer was setup to be delivered. Also we're very good on rushing me into the home since I was living in a motel and my job wouldn't pay for house hunting expenses anymore. Update: I previously rated them 5 stars, now I’d rate them 2. Their main issues stems from a lack of communication. I email them all the time and call, just to hear generic terms like “we’ll call you back tomorrow” or “I’ll see about a rent compensation for your troubles”. Meanwhile it doesn’t advance much past that unless it suits their agenda. It’s been over a month since I had a leak in my kitchen for something I had complained about 6 months earlier. Low and behold, the repair was more of a short term fix for the first complaint. Now, the ordeal has been going on since September 25th. It took the owner a week just to file an insurance claim. I figured he’d want to sooner since it’s his house being water damaged. Then another two weeks go by and the fans from the water damage are still in my house wasting electricity and causing noise. By the way, I never received any form of compensation for this electricity. Not to mention, the noise was loud from 8 fans blowing. It also caused a lot of heat because that had to use a dehumidifier to heat up the water damaged areas to help the drying process. This wouldn’t have been a big deal if it wasn’t September and 80s/90s. All the meanwhile the repairmen keep saying the same thing everyday as they checked up on it, demolition is the only way to treat the issue. I could see the wood and wall areas warped and I have no background in water repair. The management company also scheduled appointments without my knowledge, then asked why I missed the appointment. They presumed that the charges would be passed along to me, but I never knew. They then were reasonable about not charging me for the missed appointment fees. Nonetheless, after the three weeks of fans, they get insurance approval for demolition. The repairmen from the water restoration company then tear out the sink/cabinets/dishwasher. I left town for a week so I could be gone(as well as my dog) while the contractor repaired the missing cabinets. The contractors have yet to begin and I’ve been home three days. All in total, it had been over a month since this started, and who knows when the cabinets will be replaced, so I can use my sink again? I sure don’t and neither does the property management company. This is the main reason I rate them 2. Because it seems like they are just there to collect a check and not do much besides make some initial phone calls. I mean it has been a month and 90% of the information was told to me by a repairman. That wasn’t even his job to relay it, I had to ask him the status. Edit: It was fixed by the end of end of the year. They also did give me reparations. I am glad the whole process is over. I believe if they maintain good communication throughout the whole process moving forward, rather than after it has occurred, they will earn my full five stars back.

I did not need the website I needed to speak to a specific person and they would not connect me to that person just say go to the website.
