I actually found this company through Instagram first. I had actually started my apartment seeking adventures in 2020 in the mist of the pandemic and quite frankly, I the frustrations acclimating to virtual tours and not really knowing what I wanted on top of being a little rusty with apartment hunting made me stay put for a year. By February 2021, I knew it was time for me to make that move! Despite having a list of must have and a budget in mind, I still kept hitting the wall finding places to legitimately tour because the reviews from several sources would tell me to run! By happenstance, I saw a post on IG from Houston Luxury Renting and decided to DM them for information. Immediately, I received communication from Zia who sent me a listing based on a few must haves and gave me the time and space to peruse and research the information until I had some real potential places to tour. Despite her assistance because of the low inventory that occurs during peak times like summer, she encouraged me to keep looking and she would do the same. Zia wasn't pushy and really took her time to understand my needs to help me locate a place to call home. Although Zia showed me amazing properties, I actually ended up going with privately owned space. I still need to tell y’all about her stellar service. I originally had responded to a post on a general search site for an apartment. Zia responded promptly, letting me know that there were other properties like this available. She got in touch with me and we had a conversation about what I was looking for— not just location and rent wise, not just what would ACTUALLY be available to me based on my move date (a lot of people seem to miss this mark)—but the things that mattered to me or were more subtle and nuanced preferences like plenty of natural light, wanting an in unit washer/dryer but willing to sacrifice that for a patio or balcony if it came down to that call, preferences for amenities in the neighborhoods, etc. I even let her know my feelings and curiosity about luxury apartment living, but that I was happy to stick older buildings or spaces with more ‘character’ as I’m a country girl and not home much anyhow. She sent me listings of a great variety which was very helpful in making quick time of comparing properties. But she also was able to tell me specific properties that she thought would be a good fit: she was very right!! Some of the things I appreciate that Zia did not do: She didn’t put pressure on me. Each conversation was easy breezy, but felt very productive. She gave me options and then time to really contemplate them. She didn’t fall off. I understand that with this type of service, especially a free one, she is probably in contact with several people and new people each day. While she definitely gave me time to find the right space, she did check back in with me helped me refine that search each time that she did. She didn’t pout 😂 I found a private spot that wasn’t on any of her lists and she... congratulated me! That’s someone who wants people to be happy in their home. She doesn’t do showings. Now, don’t let that be mistaken for “you’re on your own!” She’d offered to set up viewings for me if I had trouble, but I didn’t. This one stood out to me as someone who has a tiiiight schedule. Another apartment locator in that past had really pulled me around town and gave me options at inconvenient times that would be off the table if I didn’t take them right then. I appreciated that Zia was “there” if I needed her, but also so knowledgeable about the properties that she didn’t really need to be there with me. I’d recommend Zia if you need help in your apartment hunt. There are soooo many options in Houston, get with someone who will listen to what you’re looking for and knows enough places in the area to help you hone right in on it! Thank you Zia!
