She went above and beyond to ensure we were not happy with our home but the entire experience. She travelled up to NC a number of times to show us the house by video call, go through the home inspection/punch list for us because we weren't able, and go with us on the final walk through. She even kept our pup preoccupied during closing so we didn't need a dog sitter! Brent is an amazing agent. He also is a professional and knows the real estate business. He is upfront and honest about what needs to be done to prepare you for selling your home. We choose to take his advice to do make a few repairs and put fresh paint on the walls before listing. Within a week of listing we had several offers on the table and signed our contract. He also was our agent to purchase. Long story short- we ended up with our dream home after backing out of the contract we originally had due to a few reasons and it immediately went under contract to another buyer. After looking at several other homes- we were heart broken we didn’t keep our contract. We sent emails and had talks with Brent about trying to find a similar home but there was really nothing available that we liked. For some reason, the contract fell through and we received a call at 6am from Brent telling us that he had heard that our home may be available and that he had called the listing agent and did we want to put a contract on the house- we said definitely! We had good realtor service with this group, but READ THE FINE PRINT FOR AN ADDITIONAL OUT OF POCKET $995 FEE! We had worked on and off with a realtor with this group... even selling a rental home with them a year prior... who did a fantastic job for us, but when it came to buying our new home (& getting ready to sell the current home we owned), we noticed fine print in the contract stating that we would owe an additional, out of pocket $995 fee... that was on top of the realtor commission. This fee was for both the home we were buying AND the home we would be selling (nearly $2000). When asked about it, we were told that it was "just a concierge fee" to help pay for the admin that we would be working with. When we mentioned that we needed to speak to someone about getting the fee waived, we were told that there was no point because no one was exempt from the fee & there was no one to talk to. After the time we spent working with our realtor - who was great for us - we felt rather obligated to use them for the home we were buying, but due to that ridiculous fee, they lost the commission they could have made on the sale of the home we were selling, along with commission on the home that our nephew just purchased because they went with another realtor after finding out about the extra fee. Trust me on this, whether buying or selling, $995 is just greed on their part.
