Would recommend to a friend. Only critique would be a need for a more robust payment portal option. We had trouble getting zelle to work with the information provided and other options like venmo and wire transfers can add additional fees to the process.

I have never really enjoyed working with brokers when apartment hunting. Normally it feels as if I'm the one doing all the work and the broker just collects a month's rent in fees for literally opening the door. I would say that I was very pleasantly surprised by my experience with Encore Realty as a broker. While I WAS the one to find what's now my new apartment, Cameron did all the heavy lifting from there out. He was incredibly responsive and detailed. I had very few questions along the way but when I did he replied in a timely and thorough manner. Although I initially inquired about a specific apartment, Christian also provided a list of similar apartments in the same area for me to consider, without trying to steer me toward a particular property. When I asked him to show me the apartment I was interested in, he was able to arrange a tour for me even late in the afternoon. Later in the process, he even agreed to let me see the unit again to thoroughly check for any existing damages before I move in. He also answered my questions well and promptly followed up with me when he needed to get more information about the apartment. Signing the documents was also relatively painless as most of them could be done electronically. As I waited for the landlord to review my application, Christian notified me as soon as it got approved, and he charged me the broker fee only after making sure that both parties agreed with signing the lease.

But Christopher got back to me promptly and we started to discuss my options on email. Even though it was difficult for him to coordinate across time zones (I was 12h ahead in Singapore), he made every effort to communicate with me and fulfil my requests. I definitely gave him a lot of pressure to film a video tour of the apartment as we were apartment searching while COVID was still ongoing. I honestly don't know how he did it, but it must be because he is such a genuinely nice person! Dave Monheit is phenomenal. Let's face it, buying a home is one of the most expensive, stressful things you will do in your life. I've been through this song and dance twice, and in doing so I have realized that there is a significant difference between having a good realtor and a GREAT realtor. Dave had the patience of a saint with me as I changed my mind roughly every other day about what I was looking for, where I was looking, and what my time frame was. I never felt pressured to do anything, but he was always there waiting to support whatever my latest decision was. When I finally found my DREAM HOUSE, his negotiation skills were completely on point, and whenever I started to freak out about even the littlest things he would call me and talk me off the ledge. This guy made buying a house a completely non-stressful ordeal. My financing fell through (due to another deal it was contingent on) the day after I signed my P&S, and Dave worked his personal connections and got everything back on track that day. I have two coworkers who bought houses a few months before me, and frequently we'd talk about my home buying experience. Their reactions to my updates were always the same - "Wait, what??
