Under the best of circumstances, buying a home can be complicated and nerve-wracking. So, imagine trying to buy a house on the other side of the country in a market with which you are completely unfamiliar. And then imagine doing so remotely and in the middle of the most chaotic real estate market in decades. Well that's the situation I found myself in earlier this year. The odds of everything coming together for a satisfactory experience were long (to say the least!) and yet everything worked out far better than I had the right to expect and I'm now happily relocated in New Mexico. So, what was my secret? My son had bought a home here a few years ago and worked with a real estate person named Dorothy Cummins. He told me that Dorothy had been an invaluable resource for him and suggested that I give her a call. As far as I'm concerned, Dorothy's knowledgeable input, professional approach, and patience are the factors that made all the difference. Trying to buy a house sight unseen from the other side of the country is, of course, nuts. But Dorothy was unfazed and unflappable. I was consistently impressed by her professionalism and her willingness to do whatever it took to make things work out. We next asked her to sell three distressed rentals and she took it on as a real professional. not only did we get significantly more than we expected but she held the buyers and other broker to strict standards of the sale. Irene Murphy was recommended to me by a coworker. I thought I knew a lot about the home buying process before but boy was I wrong. There was never a question I had that Irene could not answer. During the house shopping phase, Irene would email me every day with listings that I may be interested in. I have a very busy schedule and she would always accommodate me. Weekends, evenings, whenever. Irene made sure I was taken care of. Irene would look for things in homes that I would never even think of and for that alone I am immensely grateful. Once I had finally decided on a home, Irene was very helpful in the negotiating process. She provided market analysis and also helped me determine what I could afford to ask for without busting the deal. She took my 10 calls a day with questions with not a single complaint. She was on top of things that had completely slipped my mind. She went out and got several quotes for repairing the fence, replacing windows, etc. When I could not attend inspections, she was always there. She worked closely with my lender to make sure that everything was on track when I decided spontaneously to close early. I strongly feel like she went above and beyond her duty to me and I couldn’t have asked for more. I am so glad to have made a friend out of such a stressful period of my life and I can not wait to buy another house just to see Irene work her magic once again ❤️

My bank, USAA, connected me up with Lisa Brown when my mom, for whom I was a caregiver, passed away. My mom's house needed to be sold, and I needed to buy a place to live. USAA has very rigid standards, so I knew she would be knowledgeable, but had no idea that Lisa would make the whole experience seamless, under very trying circumstances. Every detail was attended to with her personal attention and frank and prompt communication. Her team has excellent photographers who showcased Mother's home, and she was available for the many questions we had. She was tireless when I wanted to see many properties for myself, and had an excellent website where she would post info/pics of every MLS home I was interested in.
