The plumber was on time, worked efficiently, and kept me informed throughout the process. He replaced a flap in the toilet tank, and he installed a new pop-up stopper in the sink. This review is overdue. Several years ago a difficult to access/replace upscale shower fixture in our master bath had to be replaced. Several other plumbers were either not interested due to the complexity of the job or provided plans/quotes which were too involved and costly. Bob was responsive and provided a comprehensive plan which was executed seamlessly, coordinating the tile and plumbing work at a reasonable cost. I was very impressed with being provided with a total solution for an involved project with an excellent result.

We had some issues setting up the appointment. Their on line contact site was not working. So after emailing several times I finally called and spoke to the office team and provided pictures of the work. They told me one of the plumbers would call me. Three days later I called back and had to set an appointment. Needed a credit card to secure the appointment. They called to confirm the day before. Plumber arrived on time. Inspected the job and priced out the faucet replacement at $1057. Higher than expected but the job was completed that day and seems to be quality work. Will possibly use them again depending on the job.

The technician came to my home during the window of time that was given to me by the main office. The gentleman was very polite and professional. He put on his "booties" to enter the house. I showed him the outside hose spigot. The technician shared with me that I really didn't need to tie off the spigot line but could use a new knob for the spigot. He explained the costs but there really wasn't a cost difference he explained "why would you tie off a perfectly good spigot if you can have one for the front yard and one for the backyard." I liked the fact that he shared this information in a non-pushy way. He went to work. In and out. He understood that I had to work while he was at my home. Overall a good experience.

Our rep, Shane, was 1) quick to arrive and polite, 2) diagnosed our issue quickly and honestly, and 3) chose a more difficult to him, but cost effective to me option (he cut and climbed through insulation in a difficult to reach, super tiny crawl space rather than pull/tear up my floor, which would have been a lot more billing hours) to reach a separated pipe. He fixed the issue, kept the mess to a minimum, and even my dog liked him. Thank you, Shane!

I reached out to McLoughlin for a second opinion after I was told that I had a "major" coolant leak. The company who installed my geothermal units and who had been maintaining them, wanted to replace my entire unit. My McLoughlin technician was so knowledgeable. Not only did he diagnose where the leak was coming from, he explained everything. Needless to say, I switched companies and will be using McLoughlin for my HVAC service. Thank you!!

He had to break up the concrete floor, extract the old pipe that had a crack in it and insert a new cast iron section of the pipe. He was efficient and competent and cleaned up everything. I'm really happy with the service we received! Bob McLoughlin was really responsive when I reached out to schedule and gave me an estimate over the phone. He sent a plumber out really quickly, who removed a radiator for us. While he was here, he gave me a few great suggestions to make our hot water system more efficient (one that was free for me to do, and one that would require some work but with no pressure to do it). Next time we have a plumbing need, I'll come back to McLoughlin.

I called the company on 7/21/20 about a slow leak originating from my second floor bathroom and dripping into my foyer. The person who answered the phone was professional and helpful. The earliest she was able to schedule a plumber to come out was on 7/24. She was upfront about the $50 fee for the plumber to come out, which I agreed to. The plumber came out on 7/24 and was punctual and friendly. In order to properly assess the situation, he needed to open up my foyer ceiling to expose the pipes. He was upfront in telling me there would be a $300 charge to cut open the ceiling, which I agreed to. He was able to determine the source of the problem to be the drain line for the vanity. He temporarily stopped the drip by turning off the water to the second floor bathroom. I was told the owner would need to put together an estimate for the job and was promised that he would be in touch. I paid my $355.59 bill, no problem. After not hearing anything for a couple of days, I placed a follow up call to the office on 7/28. I was told the owner was on vacation the day before, out on jobs all that day, and that he would be in touch. Today marks 3 weeks since the plumber was out to my home and I still have not heard back about the estimate. Very disappointing to have paid $350 and be left with the same problem I started with, a hole in my ceiling, and no estimate. Perhaps they were not interested in the job but I would have preferred to be told directly rather than waste time waiting for an estimate.

After Saturday and Super Bowl Sunday with no heat or hot water, I visited the website of McLoughlin PHC. I read the reviews and liked that they were in close proximity. I left a message Monday morning at 6am and the office called about 8am. The receptionist confirmed my information and told me that a tech would be out between 11 and 2 pm; and Jesse, the tech, arrived around 12:30. I was very happy to see him since it was 55 degrees in the house. He diagnosed the problem and about 3 hours later, the problems were fixed. He explained what needed to be done and made recommendations to extend the life of my boiler. I am a first time customer and I will be following up soon with the service recommendations.......thanks to Jesse.

I have used McLoughlin Plumbing on a number of occasions and have always been pleased with the honest work the service technician has provided. Most recently I called on a Thursday afternoon to see if someone could come the next afternoon and even asked for a specific time. They did it! The work was done quickly and when I asked for advice about future work that should be done, I got an honest answer - nothing urgent! Can't really say how their prices compare, but I feel I am being treated fairly.

I had planned for another technician to visit but the lack of funds prohibited it. I have never, ever had a bathroom sink faucet cost 800.00 dollars. We have been struggling with a major air conditioning issue for weeks that no one was willing to help us fix/diagnose/triage. We called McLoughlin after being referred by a family-member and they responded right away. The specialist Rob spent a significant amount of time analyzing the situation and answering all our questions. He confirmed that the whole system had been installed incorrectly and that their were major issues (which we already suspected) but helped us come up with some good solutions and set us up with an appointment with their engineer the next day. My 86 year old mother had recently had issues with her 20 plus year ild heater and air conditioning. Since calling McLoughlin about 6 months ago we have had excellent response to the issues with our old unit. That being said when we realized our old unit had to be replaced McLoughlins professional sales staff (Tom Magee) stepped in and recommend options. Tom did not pressure sell or push extras that he felt we didn't need. He asked questions about my mother then guided us on what he felt would benefit her. I called McLoughlin to resolve my failed garbage disposal. The professional representative that answered the phone able to schedule a visit the next business day. I was impressed by: 1) The plumber’s knowledge and skills 2) His willingness to explain the problem and solution 3) The cleanliness of his work during and after 4) Their attempt at flat rate pricing I was not impressed by: 1) The cost McLoughlin charges $50 for a plumber’s visit. That’s totally fair. Each plumber comes equipped with a tablet that acts as a billing and payment collection system. Each task has a fee in addition into the $50 fee to show up. The $800 flat rate fee to replace garbage disposal was only revealed once the plumber arrived at my house. Why not post the flat rate pricing on your website so your customers know before the plumber arrives? I would call McLoughlin again but I would be prepared to call someone else if the price quoted in my kitchen was beyond the budget.

Fast, professional service at a price. I called at 7:30 a.m. on the coldest day of the year and someone was at my place by noon to fix the heat. As I was told when I called, the service fee was going to $79.50 just to show up and do simple diagnostic. The technician quickly diagnosed the problem, and provided a quote to replace the condensate pump ($372.70) and blow out the condensate line ($156.16). He had all the materials he needed on his truck. I later looked up the price of the pump he installed and it was around $80. So in less than an hour and half and with an $80 part, the problem was fixed but at a cost of $608.36. Giving four stars because that seems high to me. But again the service and speed was great.

Everyone was friendly and courteous, kept the house clean, and the salesperson Rob was on site throughout the install to ensure it was going smoothly and came back twice after the fact to check and ensure was running properly. I called about a leak on a Thursday afternoon and someone came out less than 24 hours later. They did tell me someone would come between 9 and 12 and he didn't get here until close to 1. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and offered a couple different options for replacing our disposal. I do feel that the cost of the disposal was much higher than it would have been if we bought it ourselves, but he worked quickly, and no more leak, so can't complain too much.

Required emergency service because family was coming the following day. I tried plunging and even ran a 20 foot snake down the line. No Luck! The water coming up out of the drain was black with bits of stone.They got a plumber on site within 18 hours of calling and billed us $350 to run "The Machine" down the line. They said we should replace the main house drain but when I requested a quote they never followed through. Only giving 4 stars not 3 because "The Machine" costs almost $400 and if I bought my own I would have to store it. Guess I could have rented one but had a pain getting that drain to stop leaking a few years back so I was happy to let a professional take care of it. Would have given 5 stars if the price was about $100 cheaper, showed up the same day and provided the quote I requested and they said they would give me.

We had selected McLoughlin Plumbing and Heating for our church St. Johns Indian Orthodox, Drexel Hill, PA after multiple rounds of reviews with different HVAC vendors. One of the things that stood out for us was they were the only ones who offered a light commercial Mitsubishi HVAC system for the church. Admittedly we had to call McLoughlin multiple times with different options and they were gracious to work with us till we could come to an understanding on best fit which could be convincingly presented to the church board. Once the contract was signed - they were professional in their work, everything was done before or on time. Their employees knew their work, kept the church premises clean and was very attentive to us as the customer, respecting the sanctity of the church. As of now - the units were tested for heating only as it was installed in the winter. The primary purpose though is air conditioning. We are confident it will work well although we haven't used it as yet - we need to wait for Summer 2016. Overall we are very happy working with them and would recommend them to any organization or individual. They know their stuff and they do it well. They are a tad expensive but if you want turnkey and a trusted partner, you can hire them simply for the peace of mind.
