I called on Wednesday and Mike came out the next day. After arriving on time he walked me through different options (snaking vs. jetting), their pros and cons, and their prices. I decided to go with the jetting as these four storm drains have not ever been professionally cleaned (commercial parking garage). He removes multiple contractor bags full of debris. He gave an estimate, updated me when he realized the job would be more involved, and didn't give me any surprises when the job was done. He worked diligently and efficiently. When the job was complete he gave me suggestions for keeping them clean in the future. I don't think I'll have to search for any other drain professionals soon.

Mike is a great plumber much more reasonable than other services.prices are reasonable than most other services. Cheap johns will not rip you off or look to take advantage like some other services. I highly reccomend. I have used them to install new toilets as well prices more reasonable than others.they unclogged my sewer line that was backing up great service

Our technician, Mike C., was awesome! He worked his tail off to clear a major blockage in my in-law’s house. Had he not cleared it, we would have been stuck opening up the ceiling downstairs. That would have been a huge, costly mess! I will be calling them soon for a vanity and faucet installation. I highly recommend this place. They disclose their pricing BEFORE the work is started. Wow simply amazing. I had Mike come within 3 hours and diagnose my issue when all the other companies are full of talk when they advertise emergency service. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable. My basement was flooded as the sewer line was cracked. Mike gave me several options for the repair. I am happy to say that the entire sewer line from the house trap and other fittings were replaced successfully. He stayed till 930pm to ensure it was done the right way. This was quality work done for a reasonable price compared to other companies. So if u need anything plumber related call Cheap John ...ask for Mike. I recommend.

I called John's this afternoon because of a clogged bathroom sink. John himself answered, was very personable and professional, and told me that someone would be here within 90 minutes. A little more than an hour later, Eric, one of the master plumbers arrived, and he was wearing a walking boot! He told me that his foot had been fractured for several months, but he loves what he does so much, that he didn't want to take off! He trudged upstairs, took a look at my ancient sink and pipes, and assured me that it would be OK. Although we had a great conversation about getting older, the Knicks and life in general, he was very professional and outlined what needed to be done, and how much it would cost. Plumbing work is rarely cheap, and it wasn't this time, lol, but it was less than I thought it would be. I approved and he went out and got his electric snake. In a few minutes, my sink drain was running better than it had in many years. Thanks again John and special thanks to Eric! Feel better soon my friend!

I have no words!!! Eric came in and saw our bathroom asked 2 questions and knew what to do!! We had used the everyday stuff like Drano and other stuff and did not resolved the issue. I called at 6pm and got here before they said he would be here. He was so polite, professional, and friendly. He knew his customer service behavior 😊. Eric came in to snake out my basement. He was patient and explained what my issue was and how to best resolve it. Because of his expertise, I knew I had to get a bit more work done. He and Mike came back the next day to water jet my lines and removed a good chunk of junk. They both were knowledgeable and took ownership on the issue I was having. I felt more comfortable knowing what I was dealing with and that I had the right guys there to fix it. Not to mention, the price was right. Wow what a great experience using Cheap John’s the true sewage line professionals! I had a mainline clog and my drain backed up in my backyard, in my kitchen and in my sewage line - it was a mess! But I was fortunate to find John the owner who promised he’d have someone at my home within an hour (and he has the funniest joke including the Beatles) and Paul who came out to do the work (within the hour as promised) and did it with integrity and excellence! The biggest bonus is that Cheap John’s are really Plumbers who can triage the problem and they did and now I am confident with their written six month warranty on the work done I am their and happiest newest client! They ROCK! Use them with confidence, I certainly will again if needed. KUDOS!!!😁

Was amazed a t how good these guys were. When I called, John himself got on the phone for nearly 10 minutes discussing our backed up pipes. Two other companies had tried to clear them and failed. They said we would have to rip up the basement floors and do repair work. Cheap John's sent over Mike who was outstanding. He worked for several hours, refused to give up when he couldn't find the problem, and finally got the line clear. Saved us several thousand dollars. Would strongly recommend them and they are a good example how the local guys can beat out the name ones with hard work and expertise.

Cheap John's is an amazing company. They truly are professionals especially Mike. Me and my fiance just purchased a home and we were already having plumbing issues 1 week in with the bathroom sink. The pipes were very cheap and poorly installed and the job was sub par. As first time home buyers, we had no idea this would come about but then Mike came to our house and he was definitely put the test in trying to find out the issue of my bathroom sink. He was able to determined what the problem was and explained what our options are and explained in full detail what would need to be done. He got to work immediately and was able to fix our sink issue which made me and my fiance very happy! He was very patient and he is a very skillful plumber. Eric showed up to snake my main waste line. He was on time. He was friendly. They won't give any quotes over the phone or general idea of price. They were upfront with pricing when they got to my house. They are EXPENSIVE. $350 to snake a main 4" waste line. It wasn't a difficult case either. A simple snake in and out. Beware their name is misleading they are not cheap and their website is misleading as far as pricing. They are also CASH only and they don't tell you that when you first call.

I used them for a really bad sewer backup. They provided a great service. As for the price is ok. The guy came did a quick snake and left. But the clog came back again an hour after. I called them up and John had the guy snake thoroughly this time. All is good. I can't recommend John enough. Thanks John!

I manage a 6-story mixed-use condo in 11204. Fortunately, these guys do a lot of business in my neighbourhood, so in times of emergency (like I had yesterday) it really helps. This is my second time using Mike, and first time since the pandemic hit. Mike has also done a job for one of my tenants. Each time a perfectly executed job. But yesterday was an emergency case: commercial unit in the basement got flooded from the ceiling due to a completely clogged up water trap. Simultaneously, water began overflowing from toilets on first and second floors, and was basically backing up all the way up, floor by floor. Making matters worse, it all began at 7 pm, so we needed someone immediately. Mike came within an hour as promised, figured the issue immediately, identified the exact water trap (and we have many of those), gave me exact price for the job, waited while I consulted with board, then ran hose all the way to the outside, and ran his clog-busting machine for about an hour until the 15-year old crust inside the pipe was all pulverised. He then further cleaned it out manually, and instructed me on future maintenance. Mike came in a mask, and wore it throughout this job, explained every step of the way, was as he's been in the past very sociable and friendly. I have and will continue to recommend Mike without any reservations. Call main number and ask them to send you Mike.

Mike arrived on time (early!!) and carefully analyzed what caused my drain problems. He quoted a price I found acceptable and he went right to work. Mike did everything he promised and checked carefully to make sure my sewer drains were running clear after the machine was used. My shower drain was too messed up to clear, but he tried hard and it was not his fault. I am completely satisfied with his serious, competent work and the respect shown for my property. Highly recommend this company and I would ask for Mike to work in my home again.

I was tired of hiring the cheap sewer companies that did not solve the problem and it was not even a quick fix. Mike came very professional, punctual and took the time to explain to me what was going on and what I needed. I never heard of the technique of blasting away the oil n dirt to really clean the pipe. As far as unclogging the plumbing goes, they are great, the job was done in about 15 minutes. But I doubt anyone ever gets it done for 49.99. That's the internet price, then when I called the phone quote was $100 and when he arrived it went up another $50 and cash only (hence the stated 49.99 price). Ask the right questions, arrive at a price and stick to it. Hey John, I didn't see how to reply so I'm editing this - it was at 4pm and it was a basic bathroom sink. Like I said - the job was done well and quickly. No dispute on that.

Eric showed up when I was told he would. Cleaned up my blockage in no time flat. He's very knowledgeable and knows what he's doing. But, above all, he is a man of integrity. Service is Great! However, John isn't so cheap. I asked for a price quote, I told him it was the main that was blocked, and he wouldn't give me a quote over the phone. Instead, I was told that I would get a "fee estimate" when the plumber shows up. Because of this, I have to give 4 stars only instead of 5. Don't plan on spending $49 dollars, be prepared to spend at least $200 for the main to be cleaned.

Called them yesterday for a clogged drain. Tech arrived without a call and took a look. Said the toilet may need to be removed for $300 if he couldn't clear the clog and I passed on that. He then offered to try the job with his auger for $120. I asked what happened to $49? He mumbled something about a longer auger. I said $49 or thanks for stopping by. He said that the website small print indicates the total is $60, in cash, including tax and the "travel fee". I agreed on that and in 5 minutes the toilet was working fine again. He suggested that, next time, I get a stronger and longer industrial auger, rather than the basic home depot one that I purchased and unsuccessfully tried myself. It is a bit tricky to "do it yourself" but if you have the time, strength and initiative, it's a good idea before calling in the professionals.

Eric was my technician. I called Cheap John and ask for a quote. John said that someone has to assess the clogged drain first before he can give me a quote. He said someone would be in my area in an hour. Came earlier than expected (25mins). He took care of my backyard sewer drain in less than 15mins. Let a water hose run the pipe to check for any blockage for the next 15mins. Mission accomplished! On his way out, I also asked him to check my kitchen sink as it is draining slow. I tried Drano in the past but didn't work. He showed me a trick by using dishwasher detergent. Problem solved! Paid for the sewer drain and freebie for the kitchen sink. I have inquired with other companies and gave me a quote between $350-$500 without even assessing the pipe. Cheap John is a trustworthy and reliable company. I will put him in my contacts for future issues.

I have dealt with several of the low cost sewer cleaners. I have had my share of good and bad experiences with them. It really depended on the individual not the company. This time all my storm lines were clogged by debris from mud and roof material. They came the first time and were unable to unclog the drains using the big snake. No charge. They came a second time with a high pressure gas tank and were only able to dislodge a little of the material. No charge. It was clear that I needed the big Jet. They came with the high pressure jet. They gave me a reasonable price unlike some others. They worked at the drains using all their tools until they were clear. Other companies would have just given up.

I can'r recommend the company/Mike highly enough. First clog on 70 year old pipe was figured out & fixed. Thorough, detailed, honest. Two weeks later, the 4" cast iron pipe broke.
