Jeffrey arrived quickly, exactly when I was told he would, he wore a mask while he was here, and he diagnosed my floor drain clog accurately. He was very skilled! Everything about the service went smoothly-Jeffrey provided a price quote and cleared the drain within about 30 minutes! He was professional and he cleaned up afterwards. I am completely satisfied with his work! He also provided me with a coupon upon request! I honestly have not had a better experience with a technician previously! Before he left, he gave me helpful advice and directions on how to maintain my drain lines in the future. In all honesty, in the unfortunate event that my main drain becomes clogged in the future, I will absolutely call them again, and I will be recommending them to my friends, relatives and neighbors!

Jesse was very professional. Arrived as expected. Well-mannered, very patient and explained things very well. Even pointed out somethings that the previous toilet installer missed doing. Amazing service. I was able to schedule online and got a text before they showed up. My service tech was very friendly and listen to my issues. We discussed the cost upfront before stating the work. I let him do his thing and before you know it he was as done and testing to make sure it drains. The sound of water rushing down the drain never never made me happier. I was super pleased with the service and how helpful the service tech was. I’ve used them in the past and will continue to use as I have not had a bad experience yet.

Good and quick service, Brian was nice and worked efficiently. I was able to easily get a next day appointment and they came early in the provided window, which was great. However, the service way more expensive than I had anticipated. I needed a main line unclogging that was backing up from 2 sinks and it cost $430.

Woke up to a sewage backup this morning, they were at my house within 2 hours and had the problem fixed as best they could. I was given two options for next steps with quotes, unfortunately my situation is a little different as the city planned on fixing our water and sewage mains this spring. I was advised by Nick, to contact the city to see if they’d pay for this or reimburse as our city already planned to do this. Nick and Brad were both very friendly and knowledgeable, had me watch the process and answered all my questions. We had to pull some carpeting back and they put it back, looks like nothing was disturbed. Very happy with the experience.

Our laundry room floor drain stopped up and began over flowing. I began calling and was having NO luck in getting anyone to my home to clear the blockage until I called Roto Rooter. They were able to schedule a service call the same day, even afterhours and at no added charge! Andrew (7928) came in, friendly and helpful, assessed the situation, explained to us what the situation was and what needed to be done to fix the problem and what the cost would be. He then brought in what equipment he needed, got right to work and explaining as he worked what he was doing. It didn't take long and the drain was free-running once again! Curt was very easy to talk with and was thorough when explaining all he had to do to clean the drain and piping. He checked and rechecked the drain. While he was working I noticed water leaking from the ceiling. He made a call to another service man ( Jerrelle) who came within 20 minutes. A third service man (Nick) came with a camera as Curt was concerned that the water was still filling up in the drain after he had spent a long time working on clearing it. After Nick left Curt came in again to make sure he didn't leave anything and made sure we understood all the work that had been done to clear the drain even though there was still a possibility water would reappear. You definitely get what you pay for. We've had 4 clogged lines in the last 2 years, the other plumbers hadn't ever found the main line stack access, they were just snaking from the kitchen or bathroom drain and hoping it would clear. We found we had a mainline clog at 10pm on a Sunday night because most of a washing machine worth of water backed up the floor drain. Called around for someone who was available, no one could get out yet that night, but I was able to schedule an appointment online for an 8am window the next morning, online confirmation and a text message. Got a text before the service window I'd selected to confirm we still needed help, then a text from the plumber with an ETA. Gabe was friendly as well as very knowledgeable, knew what he was looking for and guided questions to find the stack clean out which was well hidden, and had figured out enough of our plumbing structure to know where we should look. He got down to business and had the drain cleared in around 30 minutes, and is the first of 4 drain cleaning companies to actually pull a clog out of the line, rather than just pressuring the line until the drain cleared. Certainly not a $99 special, (we paid $430 for the main line cleaning), but worth the money to have peace of mind that the issue was actually solved, rather than just clearing the symptoms.

Got on the phone with Roto Rooter and they had a technician over to my house even earlier than they had promised! Brian arrived and was very professional, wearing booties to protect our new carpets. I called for a routine preventative sewer cleaning, just a non-emergency job. From the time I called till the time they sent a worker to my door was like 2 hours, super quick. Figured I'd have to wait a few weeks, maybe I got lucky. The job they quoted me was literally 1/6th the price a competitor quoted me at (a local twin cities big brand plumber who shall remain nameless). The guy they sent over was named Adam, I'm giving him an 11/10. He was professional and courteous, and you could tell real competent at his job. First time using roto-reuter, and within one day they've got a loyal customer now.

Can't complain about the service. They were out within 2 hours of calling on a Monday morning. They identified the issue and corrected it promptly. However, they charge by the job as opposed to the hour. Since they corrected the problem quickly it cost me more than paying by the hour. I called on Thursday while on vacation but no one cleaned up until Monday when I heard back that they left without cleaning up. I had to return a day early to get it straightened out. There was much confusion in communication with the person I called, the people who came out that were supposed to clean up the water. Once it got started though everything was great. They worked hard to fix the errors and I was lucky it was clean water. It took a few returns to complete instead of just one trip. Don’t know how they missed the very wet carpet that had tape on it marked to dry out.

The charge was $456.60 with $75 preventative pipe shield maintenance treatment. I had a $55 off coupon from valu pak website. We had tried to snake it but didn’t work. The roto rooter plumber came in after we had another company come in and the first plumber from the other company said we needed hydrojetting. The plumber from rotorooter told us we did not have a problem with the line. He found that the original installer had put 2 flanges on top of each other and they had misaligned and that is what was blocking the toilet from flushing. Yes it cost a pretty penny to have it fixed but now I know it is done correctly. Our roto rooter plumber rocks and I will go to Roto rooter from now on.

I had requested a quote for a tub drain, overflow, and faucet installation. My plumber Ray was fantastic. I would give him 5 stars. He was respectful, professional, and did a great job installing everything. He also cleaned up and gave me some tips on what I should do with a couple other things in my bathroom. The price was also the best quote I got. The only thing I had a problem with was my appointment being cancelled twice after I waited around at home for 2 days. Luckily I can work from home but my contractor also waited around in case the plumber needed anything those 2 days. My hope is they can get more plumbers to work on their overflow of jobs or get better at predicting the schedule but I know that predicting customer flow isn't always possible.

My only negative comment is that the pricing felt unreasonably high, in the past we've had a similar service for 50% less through other providers. We couldn't use any plumbing in our house, so we did not have a lot of time to shop around and I wish the price was more economical. It includes a complimentary scoping of the line, which really isn't necessary and I wish they would exclude this in exchange for a lower rate. However, I really enjoyed the technician who came out to our house. He was attentive, communicated well and completed the service quickly. The scheduling platform is super user friendly and a great feature. The customer service reps are easy to get ahold of and answer your question quickly. If you are really in a pinch, like we were today, I recommend this company because they will come quick. If you have time to shop around and keeping the price low is important, look elsewhere.

This would be a 5 star except I called at 9:30 or 10 pm and was told there was not any techs available overnight even though it is a 24 hour service. I was then also told it would be Friday before they would be able to be out (this was Wednesday night) and that was for an emergency (had sewer block and it was backing up into the house). I logged on the website and was able to get someone out the next day. I set it up online and by 9 AM the tech was here and he fixed it no problem. He was very informative and apologetic that we were not given service in the overnight hours. I have used RotoRooter once before and have always been happy with their services.

Let me start by saying the service was very good and the technician was great. What I am not happy about is that we called to see how much it would cost and they would not tell us coven a range. The technician would let us know when he got on site. So, we waited about 2-3 hours for the technician to arrive. He brought in his equipment and then told us it would cost 430 dollars. Regardless if they were there for 30 min or longer. So, we felt that we were trapped and kinda bait and catch. I know we could have had the sewer cleaning done for less after I got the price on site. This company should be able to tell you rough estimates based on this standard service. If someone were to ask me for a referral on needing this work done I would tell them they do a good job but you could probably get a more economical rate by another company.

I had sewage backing up into my basement caused by roots in my main sewer line that have required bi-annual removal. I called 12:30 pm on Sunday of Labor Day weekend ( no extra fees for holiday weekend - another place quoted $120 extra fee). They told me they could be out between 3-7pm that day. Twenty minutes later, they call and tell me someone cancelled and they can be there within 30 min. Zeb arrived by 1:15pm, super professional and knowledgeable. He asked me some questions about previous work, did his inspection, explained what he was going to do in detail and went over cost and paperwork (camera inspection after completion was rolled into price). He did a fantastic and thorough job of removing all roots and debris from my sewer line. While he packed up his equipment, the sewer solutions specialist, Spence, arrived to perform the camera inspection. He showed me the whole main sewer line out to the city and explained the issues and what he recommended but also went over alternative options and then pros and cons of preemptive measures vs emergency repair/replace, as well as all the costs associated with all the options. I really appreciate how informative he was and more-than-willing to answer my questions. It’s frustrating when service providers make assumptions based on gender, talk down to you, insist on waiting for a male to arrive, or have the audacity to try to swindle or use fear tactics to consent to unnecessary work. Roto-Rooter obviously hires wisely and has a smart business model that really delivers for the customer; they are honestly more transparent and give more personable service then the local and family-owned companies that I’ve tried in the past. Spence must be a top asset, it’s rare to encounter a salesman of his caliber. All this took less than 2 hrs.

Our line turned out to be frozen and the first effort to clear the drain failed. There was no charge for that and no charge for another call to use a camera to confirm ice vs. a broken pipe or root obstruction. Final fix required the use of steam to melt the ice. They also immediately sent one of their restoration specialists, Garrison. He used a device to check what areas of the floor would need to be replaced and he explained the results to us. He was very friendly and reassuring while we discussed how to proceed with restoring the damage. Additionally, they send another employee shortly after (within one day) to run a camera through the pipes to double check there aren’t any further occlusions. Overall, this company is very efficient and they employ kind and knowledgeable staff. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter, and Brian and Garrison in particular, if you ever have plumbing needs! A field supervisor did the initial assessment and the drain technician confirmed it was not sewer line related. The 3 stars are due to my being given a 2 hour window, getting a call close to 2 hours later to alert me that someone was wrapping up a job and would head my way in about 45 minutes. Then, I got another call roughly an hour later telling me that I would have to wait until the morning—everyone is tied up. Grrrr! It was 11:pm. I guess it’s silly to think that 24/7 means 24/7. I think 3 stars for the scheduling and the price, after all that waiting, is generous. Zeb was my plumber and I rate his job performance at 5 stars. Zeb arrived at my home at 9:09 am, he asked for a few additional questions about the plumbing problem and then explained the process he planned to use to remove my drain clog. He was very professional, personable and understood what the job called for. There was a situation that required a special tool that he didn’t have. I located my tool and he applied the appropriate level of effort to get the job done to my total satisfaction. Zeb worked out how to complete my project and even though the cost seemed high, I was okay paying it because he didn’t give up when he hit a snag and I got the use of my water and toilets back. In addition to unplugging the drain, he cleaned up a very unsanitary mess and left the main problem area cleaner than he found it! He was done with the job roughly 2.5 hours after his arrival. Thank you, Zeb. Roto Rooter—you will be smart to keep this young man happy in his work.

The actual root cleanup was done thoroughly. I did not appreciate all of the talk about insurance and cleaning - it felt really creepy to me - I just wanted my roots cleaned. Clearly you charge.such a high price because you hope people can use insurance. My root cleaning person didn't have really any way to clean up - he had a towel to put the icky stuff on, but he didn't have a bag for it or washclothes to clean up and he left spattering on the wall and damaged a base board - but he was thorough with the roots. I will use DrainBusters next time for sure - just roots, honest price, no scamming.

We were looking to have our water heater flushed. Plumber who came out was awesome. Mike had a great diagnosis of our unit, and provided an extremely thorough walkthrough of how we could proceed. Something the operators really should screen is the age of your water heater. RotoRooter won’t flush or service if it’s 10 years or older, which ours is. So no service was done…which was a bummer because I took time off work to meet the plumber. But the meeting with Mike was worth the professional opinion he gave us.

Tried the first and cheapest option which worked as it does he said most of the time. When we were in the demo process we learned our new shower fixture needed to be installed to copper pipes. We did not have the necessary tools to handle this. We called Roto-Rooter at midnight on Thursday to help get our only bathroom working again. It is our only shower and bathtub in our house. So this was urgent and needed to be handled.Clint a tech with Roto-Rooter showed up at 9am on Friday to install our new shower equipment to our copper pipes. Then he helped fix a leak from our shutoff valve for our toilet along with sharing insight about our new faucet to be installed. He set it up so I could install it and explained what I needed to do to make sure it had a perfect installation when we were ready to install it. Then when we were installing our bathtub learned the piping was not center so we called RotoRooter again and they came out to center the piping below the subfloor and the copper pipes on the wall. He showed me how to set my new toilet too!! Wow the care and customer service was beyond my expectations. Clint went above and beyond. I will call RotoRooter for all my plumbing needs. I called Roto-Rooter on Friday evening. Aleister was out within an hour with his bubbly, positive attitude. What I thought was a main drain issue was not. He was unable to locate it and called to have a camera come in the following morning. There was no charge for this visit. Saturday morning, Spencer was there. He tried to use his camera and was not able to see much due to the standing water (and to come to find out, the way the pipes were installed in my old house). He gave me the bad news that it was going to cost a few thousand to tear up the floor and re-route the pipes. He would have his guy come by Monday afternoon. Cody showed up and took a look with all his equipment. He wanted to know what he was working with. The install of my pipes that I mentioned earlier, made it difficult to get to the clogged pipe. But he was able to snake it at just the right angle and remove the clog without any other services needed. What I thought would cost me thousands, only cost $400 because of everyone's through inspections. I am so happy that I am able to use the sinks in my house again. Very fair and high attention to detail.

I had to call and confirm that they were still coming. We called at 8:30 am on a Sunday morning, after having a back-up at 1 am that morning. Roto-Rooter had a technician out to us within an hour. The technician (Andrew) was polite, knowledgable and helpful. He explained our sewer system to me in terms I quickly understood, and then explained the costs of cleaning out the lines with a sewer snake. We have approximately a 180 foot set back from the city sewer and they would have to run 200 feet of line to clean it. Our system was unclogged quickly and efficiently. He also gave us tips on clean up and preventing future problems. Andrew then called out another technician "Luke," to show us our system with a camera- this was included without extra-charge. Both agents wanted to be sure we did not have any trouble again, and followed the sewer pipe to the street where they found that a possible cause of the backup was from the city sewer. They guided me in contacting the city and requesting maintenance which was prompt in part because of their explanation. After the city sewer department cleaned out our city sewer line at the access point I spoke with Frank at the downtown office because I was concerned that the problem might come back. He arranged for Andrew and Luke to return to make sure everything was free and clear in our sewer line without any extra charge. I can't tell you how happy I am with this service. Thank you all! Our total cost was $762, and I would definitely use this company and their agents again. They have set a standard for professionalism and customer service that I have not seen in years.

I thought the $205 for 15 min of unclogging a toilet excessive. I asked for a pricing when I booked the service but they said they would quote the cost when they arrived. The tech said it was standard/fixed pricing so I was really disappointed that they couldn't be upfront right away. Tech was friendly and here for 15 min tops. My normal plumber couldn't get here until 2 days later so promptness was good. I did google costs before tech got here but I just wish the scheduler would be more upfront.

We had a very clogged drain. My husband and I are very handy so we went to work. An embarrassingly lengthy amount of time later, we gave up. We had only made the clog worse. I called on a Sunday expecting to pay an emergency fee. It’s a Sunday after all, that sort of a fee would be justified. This isn’t a true emergency. But, to my surprise, there wasn’t one and they said they could come out within 2 hours. Awesome! 3 hours came and went. I called again. Turns out they had called me from a number that mimics mine (and so was flagged as spam by my phone) and I missed it so they didn’t come. To their credit, I looked at my phone log and they tried 3 times and said my voicemail was full. My mistake. Then they said they could send someone as soon as someone became available. Roughly 2 more hours later, someone came out. He spent almost an hour getting out the clog (which actually made me feel better about my own ineptness at being able to solve this issue). Overall aside from the phone snafu and delay getting someone out, this was a good experience and I got a drain fixed on a Sunday. It was much more expensive than I anticipated but I think it was the going rate for the work and it turns out I’m no plumber so I didn’t have much of a choice. Now I have a working drain with a 6 month guarantee!

I'm giving them a 3 beacuse of the price. Brian was great and was very professional. He gave us a little deal on cleaning 3 basement floor drains. The bill was still $600 for about an hour of his time and it was not an emergency call either. Come to find out the drain we called about only had a little debris and the solution was to slow the water down by using a plug with holes or jackhammer the floor to put in a bigger pipe. It wasn't his fault but we still have the same problem and spent all that money. I talked to my brother-in-law that is a plumber he said he would only charge $130 bucks for each branch drain. Very professional but maybe you'll want to shop around for a better price.
