Great communication. Excellent value. The final cost of the sewer reline was thousands less than a competitor bid. Marvel staff indicated during their quote process that if certain conditions were present, the cost could be just as much as the higher bid so I was prepared for additional services. However, which in my case were not needed. If you are in South Minneapolis, I would highly recommend Marvel.

We had a backup caused by a root blockage about 20 feet outside of our house that was causing a major anxiety because we didn't know what type of repair we were in for or how to proceed in a timely matter. Marvel was great with video inspection of my main sewer line and came up with the best solution to root intrusion and a couple of cracked tiles. Their price for the complete relining of the pipe is about what my other bids were for digging up and replacing 8 ft of my line, which would have left all the other 60 ft subject to the same problems. The relining was done fast, friendly and efficiently. I would recommend them to anyone. Great job!!!

They use a unique router along with a camera so they can see the problem and then confirm that it's been removed. I highly recommend them.

Marvel recently performed a repair of a belly in our main sewer line and installed a liner to the city hook up. While performing the job they discovered a crack in the pipe leading to the cleanout in the basement, under the basement floor (I viewed the video) which explained a lot about the recent issues we were having. They performed that repair and installed a new clean out in the basement for no additional cost. The crew; lead Andrew, Kylan and Jesus were efficient, knowledgeable and polite. They kept us well informed of progress. They even had to take down and put back up a portion of chain link fence to access the front yard. Also, kudos to David, who I worked with obtaining the proposal, and the office staff who were all very responsive to my questions. Cost was competitive. Thank you Marvel. Would highly recommend!

My city required a sewer line camera inspection. Marvel performed the inspection and provided a video. The city inspector stated that there was intrusion in the line and repair was needed. I disagreed with the assessment. Marvel was willing to send a tech back to my home and perform the inspection again with the inspector present. After the inspection both parties agreed there was no intrusion and no repair was needed. This saved me a lot of money. The Marvel tech was very professional during this meeting. I appreciate the fact that they came out a second time to settle the disagreement. I would highly recommend.

We had a sewer pipe that had some breaks and getting blocked by tree roots every 1-2 years. We finally decided to have a no-dig sewer relining, which should mean no more issues for years to come. It is an expensive repair, but Marvel's price was competitive and it will hopefully avoid a collapsed pipe that would require mean several days without sewer service and digging up our yard. Greg and his team were right on time to start work in the morning. They were friendly and respectful of home. They ran into some issues with our foundation which meant the job did not go as quickly as expected, but they stayed late to make sure the job was completed by the end of the day and we had a working sewer that night. If you are considering sewer work I would definitely consider Marvel. We would definitely use them again for our plumbing needs.

We found a severely damaged section of our sewer line during inspection and opted to have Marvel repair/line the entire thing out to the city main. I had Marvel Sewer and Drain out today to clean out the main waste line from my house to the street. Communication was great before, during, and after. The guys were courteous and professional, and even put down fabric tarps to protect the area from the equipment they brought in. I like that they run a camera before and after and showed me the state of the line and the roots that were growing in and were even able to leave the camera running as the root ball was cleared. They also let me know about a plan they have to contact you yearly to schedule a visit to check the line and if a cleanout isn't needed, the cost is much less than the cleaning, which I also considered to be a fair price for what I received.

I had two other companies out first to fix serious roots in my sewer drain and they both quoted me $9,000-$12,000 to fix the issue. Blake with Marvel was able to clear the line and said I really didn't need a fix at all, just an annual check and cleaning. I eve asked for a quote for a liner and the tech said he'd get it to me but I really didn't need it! All in, Marvel charged me $295 and completely cleared a sewer drain heavily blocked by roots. Another company (rhymes with Schmoto Schmooter) charged $430 to get some of the roots out before giving up and saying I needed to get on their schedule ASAP to have my yard ripped up. Thanks for saving me $10,000, Marvel!

I needed a new sewer liner in my 120 year old home that was well over 100ft to the street and passed under earlier construction, so lining was the only real option. I've had a few different drain service companies come to clean our basement drains, and each of them quoted me one price, then on arrival said they should really use a camera, "to make sure we got everything," for another hundred or so dollars. Say what? If you need to use a camera to make sure you have completely cleared the blockage, shouldn't that have been included in your original quote? When I called Marvel, their quote was higher, and when I asked why, she let me know that that included a camera inspection. I really appreciate this kind of transparency in a business, and they did excellent work, clearing 2 basement drains and checking on another, at no extra cost. I signed up for their yearly service plan and haven't looked back.

We had to repair a 100-year-old clay main drain pipe, past a beautiful maple tree and on a major street. Marvel’s team was the only contractor to do a full on-site inspection - the others just bid based on a video from the drain cleaning service and would have dug up the street and the whole yard, probably killing the tree. Not only that, their bid was clear, comprehensive, and less than the others. Marvel’s team came up with a plan that needed only one pit to dig, fairly far from the tree, and was done in 3 days. The guys were friendly, respected property, very skilled. They hooked the sewer back up every evening (3-day job) so we could use the water.

We had a small backup from our basement floor drain, and knowing we have an old sewer we wanted to have it checked out. Marvel did an inspection for us in the past and I liked their service, so I went with them again. I called on a Friday and even though it wasn't urgent they were able to send someone out by Monday morning. Jesus arrived well within the window and was able to scope things out and find the blockage in the sewer lateral. Thankfully it was just tree roots and not a more serious problem, so he was able to clear the blockage and clean out some of the roots. In the end it didn't take very long, and Jesus did a great job through the whole process. He was also very professional and friendly. Given the high cost of big sewer repairs, the cost for the cleaning was very affordable, especially given the quality of the work done. They also provided a 6 month warranty on the work should another blockage occur in the near future. All in all a great job. I hope we don't have many more sewer problems, but if we do Marvel is highly likely to get future business from me.

We were able to schedule a CIPP sewer lining project 3 weeks out (other businesses had up to a 6 month wait), AND they were able to do it from the sewer entry point in our house (other companies said they had to dig up ground outside our house to do it, doubling- almost tripling- the cost), and at the most competitive price we were bid at. The day before they communicated the time they would be coming and they showed up right when they said. They worked diligently and were done in under 5 hours. There was no extra damage to our basement floor at all, no leakage. We have a finished basement and that was no problem for them (Ouverson, for example, told us they wouldn’t do the job in a finished basement). Can’t say enough how happy we were with Marvel and how smooth it all actually went. The best part of all was that it saved us money ON TOP OF ALL THAT too. 100% you should contact Marvel if you are looking to have a CIPP lining put in your sewer.

Dan showed up right on time (they gave us a 8:00-9:00 window, he showed up at 8:00) and after getting a bit more information, went right to work. Dan was clear with what he was going to try first (cable the cap to the street) and if that didn't work, that he would use the water jetter. Luckily for us, he was able to get the cap out to the street with the cable, and was wrapped up in under an hour. He gave me a rundown on the health of our line, as well as answered all of my questions about our plumbing, and reassured me that we had nothing to worry about for years to come (as long as I don't drop another cap down there). Very professional crews. Unfortunately had to have them on site a second time to fix what was supposed to be done the first time on site - a transition liner. They instead lined the main pipe and not transition at city connection. Had to come back to do a patch liner over the transition from 4” to 6” at city connection. Estimator was not very responsive but receptionist was very helpful. In the end they took care of everything without any hassle, it was just the inconvenience of a 2nd trip that dropped them from 5 star to 3.5 star.

I had an actual sewer inspection from an independent company and the Marvel workers tried to upsell me a product that didn't make sense for the issue that I was experiencing. Alex P, our plumber, used two different snakes to unclog and then clean our basement floor drain and then ran a video camera to inspect the pipe for breaks or further blockage, after which they cleaned more spots where the pipe was narrow from build up. They were quick, on time, professional and at $140, much more reasonably priced than any other companies! And the video camera is standard with every snake job/unclog they do and not an extra price. I will gladly work with Marvel again for any future (hopefully no more) drain unclogs.

We had previous quotes from other companies to dig up a possible mainline break, but Ben wanted to be thorough and attempt to hydro-jet first before digging as he was wary there was actually a break. Our basement floor drain was clogged, and would flood the basement anytime we used the kitchen sink or wash machine. Ben arrived at our home 20 minutes after our first phone call. His schedule was full, but he was able to accomodate our needs anyway. He inspected the drain via camera to ensure the pipe was in good working order. Once it's condition was verified Ok, Ben cleaned the drain in about 20 minutes. He even set us up with a new clean out plug and lint screen for the waste sink - free of charge. Roto rooter came out last November. Supposedly rooted out my line. Now 7-8 months later the back up is back. Jake came out and found a secondary access in my yard.
