We have been using Amco since the spring of 2020. Amco is responsive, professional, and always on time. We have the ultimate defense bimonthly program and if we need treatments in between regular services, there is no additional charge. The technicians arrive with utmost professionalism and are always thorough. They wear shoe covers when inside our home, their pricing is reasonable, and the service is excellent! I will always recommend Amco to anyone searching for pest services. I’d like to add they also provide services to remove voles, moles, mice, raccoons, etc… We had them take care of a vole problem 2 summers ago and we haven’t had any voles since!

I asked them to come out and take a look at some wasps and hornets nests that I noticed after a treatment. I could count on one hand the number of insects or spiders I've seen inside the house over the last two years and my house even backs up to the woods. When I noticed a few bugs that looked to be termites, I called a company that has been around a long time, scheduled an inspection. I was told I had termites and it would cost about $3000 for the treatment I needed. So I asked around and I was referred to Gabe with Amco Ranger. Gabe offered to come by that evening but I wasn’t going to be available then, so he came by the very next morning to inspect my home. He was extremely knowledgeable in his field. Also very polite and professional. After the inspection, it was determined that I did not have termites, but rather “ant swarmers”. Similar looking bugs but Gabe explained the difference. We went over a treatment plan that is DRASTICALLY lower in cost than “the other guy”. I’ll have my treatment done AND I’ll be treated every quarter throughout the year for $500!! So happy I contacted Amco Ranger for my pest removal services. Highly recommend this company.

We went with Amco Ranger based on the positive reviews we saw online. I can say that, by and large, the staff was professional, courteous, and responsive, both on the phone and in person. So those are positives. There were, though, two significant negatives for us. One, the only products they seem to push are one-year contracts paid out in one-month installments. Those contracts – which include both a fairly large startup fee and a recurring monthly fee – add up to several hundred dollars. In addition, if you cancel early there is a cancellation fee equal to half of the remaining balance. If you pay up front for a contract and later discover the problem is gone, or that their work isn’t solving your problem, you’ve potentially lost a lot of money. They don’t really talk about one-and-done services when they visit, so customers are likely to feel compelled to get a more expensive contract to get services. Also, keep in mind that while the contracts pay out monthly, workers don’t necessarily come out every month and don’t necessarily check everything they set up every time they visit. Two, while their site suggests they deal with just about every kind of nuisance, we discovered, the hard way, that there were exceptions. We had one of their inspectors out because we were hearing sounds inside our wall. He quickly concluded that it was probably mice. We weren’t sure based on the noise, but he was the professional, so we followed his lead, and got the 1-year contract he pitched to us. By chance, a couple of months later we saw birds coming out of a spot in the house very near where we were hearing sounds, and realized that was likely our problem. When we called Amco, though, we were told that they didn’t deal with birds – they told us they were too difficult -- and there was nothing they could do to help us. Keep in mind that we had a 1-year rodent contract at that point, but there was no way to transfer or otherwise get help on our bird problem. We eventually cancelled our contract, losing some of our money in the process. Overall, our experience wasn’t terrible, but there are definitely some things to keep in mind with Amco. If you go with them, you’ll most likely be told to go with a 1-year contract. What’s more, you will want to be sure they take care of the animals you might be dealing with. For termites, mice, and moles, you’re probably okay. But if it’s something else, you’ll want to make sure you ask.

Note: we just had our first treatment, and so haven’t had time to see how well it works. This review is of our experience so far with the company. We’ve been having an increasingly bad ant infestation and so my wife started looking into the different pest control companies. Of the ones she looked at, Amco were the only ones who wanted to come see our situation before providing an estimate - everyone else just gave a quick over-the-phone estimate. Not only did we get the in-person assessment (which made us feel more comfortable with them right away) but their start-up fee ($99) was quite a bit less than the other companies we looked into. They were able to schedule our first treatment about two weeks after we agreed to the service. We are getting their Ultimate Defense package which includes 5 yearly treatments for $50 per month plus as-needed visits at no extra charge. Gabe arrived for our first treatment a few minutes early and, after introducing himself, got straight to work. He was fast, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He explained the treatment and gave some great tips on things we can do to help eliminate pest intrusion into our home. The entire appointment took less than an hour. So far I am very happy with Amco and look forward to seeing how well the treatment brings these ants under control. Based on our experience so far, I would definitely recommend them.

We have used Amco Rangers for about 25 years. Our first experience was termite infestation. Andy, the owner at that time, informed us that to guarantee the warranty, we would have to remove the flooring on sub on grade structure. We complied but after about 3 years we had another swarming in the spring and Andy made good on his warranty. We did get the Centracom at his suggestion and have been termite free since. We wouldn't think of using any other service.

We have used Amco Ranger for pest control and termite protection since we moved into this house in 2009. I love the piece of mind of not having to worry about potential termite issues (they back their service in the form of insurance against termite damage.) And we rarely ever have a bug or spider in our house. I've had many door-to-door sales people try to tell me they could undercut pricing on Amco Ranger and each time I tell them they are wasting their time... when you're dealing with a company that you are 100% satisfied with, it's hard to consider alternatives. After the treatment, he let me know exactly what was found and then the next steps. Today was the follow up and again, he was 10 minutes early which was nice because I have to go to work. Last fall I was mowing the yard and apparently ran the mower too close to a hornets nest and got stung at least a dozen times as I ran frantically towards my garage while pulling them from under my shirt and shorts. So far unhappy. They came out for beg bugs and we had the heat treatment. The first people that came out said they were doing the entire floor. The people who actually came out to do the treatment made it sound like spot treatment. Found live bed bugs the same day and still some in the area they treated. Hasn't even been a week since the treatment. Update: They came out to retreat at no additional cost to us. So far, we have not found any live bugs. They were understanding and were quick to reschedule another re-treatment.
