Susan and Krystyna were AMAZING to work with and helped my husband and I get rid of the unfortunate bed bug situation that followed us into our home. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND going to them. I had a very good experience with Susan at NW K9 Bed Bug Detectives. I've never written a review before, but I was inspired after Susan helped me and my partner get rid of our bed bugs at our two different apartments. I was being bitten by horrible bed bugs that were really painful and I was super anxious. Now the bugs are gone and I am so grateful!! I highly recommend the K9 Detectives because they really care about fully solving the problem and they are warm, flexible, detail oriented, honest, and fair with the price. I left Susan a panicked voicemail and she called back promptly, on her day off, scheduled quickly, and constantly followed up. Susan described our options to us clearly and presented the pros and cons of each strategy along with her recommendations. K9 Bed Bug detectives has all the most effective extermination options available. Including two dogs that can detect a single live bed bug egg. That is wild! Dogs can do amazing things like smell cancer and these dogs are really talented. I can't imagine a better peace of mind investment after treating an infestation. Seriously! K9 Bed Bug Detectives will get rid of your bed bugs and will not up charge you. This is a small business that will really take care of your from that first horrified phone call you make until you're writing your own review. NW K9 Bed Bug Detectives are great to work with! We slept in our basement bedroom during the three scorching days of the Seattle summer of 2021. My wife got three bits on the last night. Looked like bed bug bites to us, but no one had slept in the room in 3+ months and only 2 people in the last 7 months. We immediately washed all the bed cloths on a steam setting and throughly vacuumed the bed and bedroom and put the vacuum bag in a sealed plastic bag. Then I called NW K9 and spoke with Susan. She explained the inspection process and cost, treatment options if bed bugs were found and the training of their dogs. WE had guests coming the next week and needed it take care of pronto! She booked an inspection just a few days after my call. Krystina called when she was on the way to let me know. She was on time. Krystina again explained the process to us and introduced us to her detective beagle, Pistol. We left the house on a short walk with our dog so as not to distract Pistol from his work. Krystina came out to talk to us when she was done. Great news, no bed bugs! Krystina showed us some bed bugs she keeps in glass vials to use as training for the dogs. NW K9 Bed Bug Detectives did all they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Very professional! We couldn't be happier.

NW K9 is beyond amazing! They are professional, patient, courteous, and manage freaked out clients (like us) w/remarkable grace. They respond nearly immediately to any questions and provide detailed information about bed bugs AND what exactly happens to get rid of them. Exactly. From the first encounter w/ Susan on the phone, to the 'paws up' from Pistol (the beagle, and his patient handler, Krystyna) assuring us that we are FREE of these beasts, the experience has exceeded our expectations. Once Pistol and Krystyna made the diagnosis that we had bed bugs, the infestation in our bedroom and another bedroom were far enough along that we needed the heat treatment (we have a 1927 home that while recently renovated/insulated, gives the bugs especially attractive places to hide). Darcy and Christian (the heat treatment guys) greeted us w/sincere patience and compassion for our angst! Again, we were consistently informed about what to expect and what we needed to be aware of pre and post treatment. Christian followed up the heat treatment w/a chemical treatment to make sure in wayward survivors bit the dust! Pricing is reasonable and fair. NW K9 just has a gift for this kind of work (thank goodness)... we just cannot recommend them highly enough!

I must say that Susan and her team are some of the all around kindest people I have met. Having even 1 bedbug is a very stressful experience and I feel that these folks handle it professionally, with integrity and kindness. They are incredibly thorough and Susan goes out of her way to check in and make sure everything is fine. Though I hope to never have this experience again, I will be recommending them to others and will utilize their services preventatively in the future.

If you found this search because you are dealing with bedbugs like we were I am so sorry! But you are in great hands!! I am writing this review 4 months after our personal bedbug nightmare, and we have not had any issues since. The entire team at Northwest K9 Bed Bug is incredibly professional, kind, and understanding. I am just so glad we found them!

This place is absolutely amazing!! Susan is very helpful and does a great job with scheduling and accommodating for you. Darcy is a suuuuuuper knowledgeable guy and explains everything in great detail!! They were here last in March and I have only seen a couple ants as of lately. Going to call and set up the monthly service!!! Recommend them over all the “bigger” names!! They actually care and want to take care of the problem not just want your money!!

Reasonably priced Peace Of Mind- worth every penny! I stayed with some family that had bedbugs and brought some home. We treated to get rid of them ourselves (instead of hiring a company) and stopped getting bites. But we hear horror stories on the web how they can just stop eating a couple months and come back even when you think you got rid of them. And so many sites say it's impossible to get rid of them unless you hire an exterminator. We were afraid they might be lurking around anyway. Well, we had to move and we had a HUGE bedbug clause at our new place, making it clear that if we brought them (or if there were any here before we moved in) I would be looking at needing to bankrupt from the cost to treat. And then I got a weird bite my first night in our new place. I called Marty and he was coming to my town any way and was happy to help. He arrived a day and a half after I called and was pleasant, kind, quick, and thorough. He and his amazing dog checked out my new apartment, my old one, and a storage unit. It took us 40 minutes time to drive across town and have the dog sniff over everything. And I was only charged $125 for 3 places and all the driving. The starting cost to treat an empty unit for bedbugs in my town is $750 and goes up $200/ hr. This was an extremely cost effective way to be sure I had no bugs and the bedbug clause I signed will not steal my future finances for my own dreams. Our family happens to be agonizingly reactive to the bites, getting huge welts and rashes that steal quality of life away. And self treatment was not cheap either. Dry ice, DE, endless cloths washing, buying huge ziplock baggies, dump costs, buying new furniture.... Bedbugs are a financial nightmare no matter what you do to get rid of them. I lived in fear we still had them and people we knew did not want to come over in case they caught them. Bedbugs made life hell. Worrying if they were going to come back was clouding my wellbeing. I was thrilled Marty and his hardworking dog found nothing. Our nightmare is over and we truly no longer have bugs. We had no mattresses, beds, or furniture left. They had been tossed to get rid of the horrid bites. So there wasn't much for the dog to sniff. We only had cloth items, shelving, and kitchen stuff so it wasn't a huge labor for Marty or his dog. I'm sure $125 felt very fair to us both. I saw the poor dog try hard to find a bug to get a treat. The poor thing was very disappointed at my place! I think he'd rate our place 1 star, since he's the only one who wanted to find a bug! I'm a very happy customer and would definitely call again if I suspected bugs.
