The entire On Guard team was nothing short of amazing! Highly recommend their services for all your pest control needs. I was convinced we had a bug infestation of some sort and the team responded to my many questions and calls with the utmost professionalism and patience (I literally called multiple times a day). Todd and the team are so super knowledgeable about their work. Their detailed responses and quick, friendly visits assured me and my family that we didn’t, in fact, have a bug infestation (but we did have mice!). I seriously cannot thank them enough (especially Todd, who was kind enough to take my call as he was feeding his 18 month old - talk about a saint!) for the patience and kindness they extended to me and my family.

They were able to get someone to my apartment within a couple of hours. The tech was awesome, explaining the process that he was going through and was very thorough in his inspection. Update: We didn’t see any more mice! I e continued to use the company for maintenance and checking out a potential bug issue. Highly recommend! This was my initial service so I don’t know if it worked yet (fingers crossed!). The person who picked up the phone was professional, knowledgeable, and quick to send someone out. From the first call, OnGuard was professional in answering my questions and prompt in giving me an appointment. They followed up to confirm the appointment the day before. On the day of the appointment, the time frame was again confirmed by the technician. He also called to notify me he was on the way. Andrew arrived a few minutes early, introduced himself and he began the termite inspection. He looked through every nook and cranny and showed me areas of concerns I would not have noticed. I suspected I had a bedbug infestation after observing some potential signs around the house. After doing some research, I came across OnGuard which was conveniently close to my apartment and well-reviewed. Todd was extremely responsive and helped me get an inspection for the same afternoon; it was Friday and I was concerned about going into the weekend without clarity on whether or not I had a problem. The technician was prompt and showed up in the allotted window. Most importantly, he was incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. Looked at all of the beds in the house, checked our couches, and helped put everything back together after removing things. The entire inspection took maybe 30minutes and what a relief to find no evidence of anything. I would 100% percent use OnGuard again for bed bugs or any other service and felt the services were well-priced given how thorough & professional the team is!

We could go on and on about how much we love working with this company! John has been our main technician for years and he is the best! But everyone that has ever come to the house is super nice and professional. Kim at the office is really dependable - she always gives us reminder phone calls and she's really flexible and understanding when it comes to last minute schedule changes. If you have any kind of pest problem at all, the only people to call is the team at Onguard. They are not the run of the mill exterminators - they use creativity and ingenuity to solve the toughest of infestations (I’m speaking from experience, I had an ongoing problem for months couldn’t figure out the source until I got them involved) and best of all - they work CLEAN. They not only take care of the problem but they put all your stuff back neater than it was before! If you have a really bad infestation, request John - he can take one look at a bag and know instantly if there is a problem so no more needlessly discarding food. I’ve used their services twice. The first time my tenants introduced bed bugs to the property. Todd’s technicians were incredibly thorough and eliminated the problem in a few visits. The infestation was terrible and the apartment has been bed-big-free ever since (for the past two years). I then had another set of tenants with a roach infestation. Again the technician came right away and eliminated the issue in a few visits. I definitely recommend them for any extermination need. And they have a three-month warranty, which proves that they stand behind their work.

On guard came two years ago when we had mice and roaches, which we’d hoped would go away on their own. On guard came when they said they would, they sealed up all the holes, put out bait, And put out traps. They came back after two weeks to see the progress. There was still some activity, so they rechecked everything. Another 10 days passed, and there was still some activity, so they returned once more. We saw no evidence of mice or roaches for 2 1/2 years. Recently, mice returned, and rather than waiting we got right on it. En garde gave us the same excellent service. They may seem a little pricey, but they charge a set fee, and will come back until the job is done. Everyone is really nice and responsive.They also come quickly and promptly. They’re absolutely first rate.

He was recommended by my mom's building in NYC when there were bedbugs in the apartment. My mom is 94 and has 24/7 aides at home, and I live five hours away, so I was very grateful to get a recommendation. Todd's first treatment got rid of all the bugs, but the way he works is to do three treatments no matter what, and he came back reliably when he said he would, and took care of everything. I saw a somewhat big mouse walk across my kitchen in the early morning (like 12:30am) when I went to my bathroom. So I screamed. And I had no plans to go back to sleep after that. I called two exterminators with no luck but was able to get someone when I called Onguard. I spoke to Todd who was a true professional and was also able to calm me down actually since I was freaking out. Todd is very knowledgeable and explained to me what the procedure would be and how much the service would cost which I thought was decent. He also offered a two week follow-up visit as part of the service. Even though, he set an early appointment to come the next day, I told my landlord what happened so she is going to get her own exterminator to do the job. I really wanted to use Onguard. If the landlord's exterminator doesn't do the job well, I would definitely call Onguard back because I refuse to share my apartment with rodents.

I can say from personal experience that OnGuard does an EXCELLENT job responding to concerns of any type of critters. They have a bed bug dog named Parker that is very effective at locating bed bugs. Todd, Sal, and Danny do a great job of explaining how bed bugs work, finding any issues, being honest about their findings, and alleviating any concerns. They take the time to explain the different types of bugs that can get confused with bed bugs, and are very quick to respond to spray for any types of bugs. I have nothing but good things to say about OnGuard Pest Control. Back in 2013 I had a serious bed bug problem. I was living in a densely populated building with a severe infestation and the building management hired the cheapest company they could find once they got around to actually dealing with the problem. They switched to another company halfway through the year that was a bit better but the problem was never resolved. I moved to another place and picked up a few bugs with me. I decided to take matters into my own hands and hire an exterminator myself. I found out about Todd from a friend who lived in a nicer building managed by more responsible folks. My bedbug nightmare lasted a whole year. Hers was over in a week (she had one more treatment but no itching or sightings after that first week). Having gone through 4 treatments with three different exterminators I picked up a thing or two about bedbugs. OnGuard was the most professional, honest, and direct company I dealt with. Everything they told me about bedbugs and the different ways you can treat them made sense. They didn't make me do half the preparation the other exterminators demanded. They sprayed a fraction of the poison but the bedbugs were gone.
