What a wonderful company! From my very first phone call to inquire about a quote - the representative was so polite. Damian was the one that came out to check out what I needed. He educated me on the process which is something the other technicians have never done before and he was extremely thorough, patient and answered all of my questions. I recently purchased a home in New Orleans and wasn’t prepared for the amount of bugs that came with it. Roaches! Termites! Spiders! Oh, my! After seeing a mutant gargantuan cockroach cavorting on my bed and finding a flying swarm of bugs in my living room that, according to Google, were most likely termites, I knew I had to call someone. I chose Bug Stars because (1) what a cool name and (2) their reviews were glowing. The tech showed up on time and even texted me when he was on his way (much appreciated.) When he saw how shook up I was about seeing the roach the night before, along with a small swarm of termites, he took the time to put my mind at ease, explaining that it was Swarm Season for termites, and that seeing a bunch flying around in my living room did not mean my house would disintegrate the next day, or even in the next decade. Also that roaches vs. humans was an ongoing battle in NOLA, and seeing one did not necessarily indicate a full- blown infestation. He explained every part of his treatment, told me what to expect, and assured me that I could call him anytime I had a question or a problem. The price was very competitive, too. I’ve been dealing with tons of contractors since buying my new place, and it was great to meet one who was so attentive, professional, and courteous. I highly recommend Bug Stars!

A well-known large exterminator company was trying to sell me an expensive plan to deal with drywood termites, and I called Bug Stars for a second opinion. Although he could easily have gotten some money out of me, Damien assessed the situation as one I could deal with myself using my ideas of methods as I described to him. He explained in detail all about this type of termite and what kind of damage it will do. (In a word, "Don't panic. This is a minor nuisance you can handle yourself.") I really appreciated his professionalism (on time, called an hour and a half before the appointment to confirm/remind, and was very knowledgeable and helpful) and the fact that he did not try to sell me a service I did not need. (Of course, when my current Formosan termite contract expires, I will transfer it to him, so he'll have a net gain in the long term...)

Called Bug Stars for my airbnb’s when someone brought in bed bugs- others told me i’d need to spend thousands- throw things out. bugstars offered me a different option that saved me a ton of money. he came by a few times and inspected and sprayed thoroughly. had the problem again some months later and he returned and fixed it fir good. so much easier and such a better value. maybe go with the more expensive option if you’ve got the money and want to be 100 percent sure the first time around, but bug stars bed bugs spraying saved me a ton of money and he was awesome to work with- came right away. couldn’t recommend more!
