First off, Loren was wonderful to speak with. She did an amazing job answering all my questions and concerns. I was actually calling to cancel and that is how I started the conversation. Loren was very understanding and wanting to know all the details. Even after hearing the reasons for me wanting to cancel (I had a really good reason too) she offered possible solutions to my direct problem and assured she would take care of me as a customer. She listed out some really good points why I should keep my service for at least one more application. These were truly valid reasons and the way she presented it was nothing less than perfection. We've been extremely pleased with Eco Shield. We just started using them and have been very happy. The service men are young men that are extremely polite and friendly. They do what you ask in a timely manner. We had a few call backs for wasps and they are they arrive usually a little early and take care of things in a timely manner. I was worried reading some of these reviews. I *did* sign up with the persuasive kid at the front door. However, after the Fall treatments, I went from sucking up dozens of box elders and stink bugs per day to a only a handful ALL FALL! Now, on to mice. Gross! I was scheduled for next week, but the mice didn't wait. I called up and Lou got me an appointment the next day. The young man, Connor, was professional and knowledgeable. He came in, set traps inside and outside. Explained everything. Found the likely critter hole outside where he put a bait trap. Gave me some extra solutions to try as well. I don't doubt other folks experiences, but mine has been top notch so far.

I have a serious problem with box elder bugs. And I’ve had the company come out several times to eradicate the situation after their initial visits. And I actually wanted to cancel my service with them. But after a phone call with Jen and talking with her for several minutes if not at least 30 minutes I was convinced by her to stay with them and it was her and only heard that convinced me to stay on and complete my service agreement with them. She agreed to contact me and monitor my situation to make sure that I was going to get the best service that they could provide and I thought that was going above and beyond . It is only Jen that is keeping me with this company at this time she deserves a lot of credit.

Technicians were great (5 star) but local customer service and scheduling was near impossible (1 star). We had a lot of issues but when manager Alexa from corporate office (not local)called her response was professional and sympathetic to our issues. We didn’t get the run around from her. I’ve actually never had such a good response that cared about what we had experienced with any other business. She gets 5+ star rating. Literal blessing to my day. She released us from contract and invited us back if we wanted to give them another try down the line but with the local office customer service being so bad and the fact they are understaffed I would not recommend at this time.

Marcus was the Service Specialist who came to our home (approximately 2 weeks ago.) He did an excellent and thorough job, spraying not only the outside of our home, but all the places inside that we requested, including the fan area in our bathroom. (We had sow bugs in the attic.) I signed up from a guy going door to door and I was skeptical because in the last couple years, we’ve been having a stink bug problem when I gets colder, so I thought I’d try it. They came out and did an initial treatment late August and then mid-Sept the stink bugs were flocking to my house. I called and they got someone out the next morning to treat the house - inside & out, free of charge. I was also skeptical that a ground, perimeter treatment would do the trick. Well, it’s been over a week now and I haven’t seen one since. I’m impressed.

I was told when I signed up if I tried the service for a year, I could cancel without a fee. Eco shield then tried to charge me the fee even after I was told I wouldn't have to pay it. Friendly technicians and decent price. 2 stars originally for a few reasons. First, wasp nest was not fully removed and the techs missed one in a windowsill...no chemicals on it at all. 2nd, they did not spray around our shed out back as promised by the tech we made the appt. with. 3rd, our gate was left open when they left which allowed our dogs to escape (and then kill a chicken). An innocent chicken lost its life due to their carelessness. Lastly, I requested a wasp nest removal in our shed during the appt. booking and they didn't perform that either. I expect more details when paying for a service over $150 with a contract. Update 7/8: Technician came today to remove wasp nests from shed. He was very kind and waited as we did not hear the door. We had honestly given up waiting as we did not get a clear time frame noted for the visit and he arrived at 6pm. Unfortunately we don't believe he got the message about spraying the shed with initial chemicals and the wasp nest in the bedroom window was missed again because of a miscommunication on our part. A follow-up call prior to leaving or a recap of work completed could have remedied these items. While I appreciate the follow-up visit to address concerns, there is still a need for more details in the work notes for jobs and customer recaps at the end of services provided. Update 9/3: After scheduling issues on their end, a tech showed up today but was very friendly and apologetic regarding the cancelled previous visit. I walked trouble areas with him and he took care of it all. Great work! Thank you!

Tim was very thorough in going through the issues I was having. He made recommendations based on my situation and it didn’t feel like a scripted “one size fits all” response. He treated the ant areas I pointed out as well as the perimeter of those areas. He also gave clear directions as to when to look for improvements by and what day to call to schedule service if needed again before my son’s outdoor birthday party next week.

I have never been able to reach the local office by phone to ask questions. Finally I picked option #5 on the voicemail and was connected to Bea. She said our local office was suffering a staffing shortage so phone contact was being managed nationally with a phone service. Bea was able to answer all of my questions ans was polite and professional.The 3 encounters I had with employees at my house providing the service was very positive and they answered all my questions and were polite and professional. Once it was pouring rain on the scheduled appointment day and the employee suggested we cancel the appointment, which they did despite the 24 hour notification rule. One question I asked Bea was how do they treat spiders outside in the winter. She said they use a dry formulation instead of a wet formulation. My husband and I were surprised by how quickly new wasp nests formed between treatments. And appreciated seeing them get knocked down.

I started using EcoShield Pest Solutions last summer. I am glad it's safe for children and pets. I saw immediate results with less ants, spiders and other insects. The wasps took longer to get rid of, but I'm hopeful that this summer will be better. We noticed some mice activity this winter. As long as the bait traps had a supply, I didn't see any traces of critters in my home. The price is worth it, since they will come do extra treatments in between whenever you ask. You have to let them know you need extra service though!

All in all, we have really enjoyed Eco Shield. The first few times they were out here we didn't notice much difference at all with the ants, mice and bugs, etc. We have talked with several individuals over and over and they have sent people out here a few times at no charge. We had some nests in our attic and come to find out we had very old insulation that doesn't kill the bugs and they just hide in it. We were paying a very high heat bill as well so they were here today and Andrew and Tim did amazing job. They even cleaned up the huge mess they made, which NEVER happens when people come do work on your home. You are usually the one cleaning up the "aftermath of destruction" These two did great.

While the service people are courteous and professional, I don't know about their product and whether it is effective. They tout it as organic. While they sprayed for wasp control, my wife and kids had been stung by the wasp within 2 days. They came back and sprayed again, but my wife was stung again. I got $2 spray from Home Depot and took care of the wasps. But the ant activity reduced and mouse activity was nil. So it is a mixed for me. But watch out for their sales guys. They are usually bait and switch and want to get you signed, without much info. You cannot cancel if you dont cancel on the correct day and if you dont, you are signed up for a year.

JJ came to our door and was kind, patient, and informative. He was willing to explain everything and be respect of my decision. We have it a shot and so far so good. I had them come back out because I saw some more ant hills. They came back within a few days and retreated those spots without charge! Here was my review of one employee: Isaiah was kind and patient. He took time to explain what he was doing and why. He continued to ask me if I understood throughout our time to make sure we were getting all of our spots that needed to be worked on. I would love to have Isaiah come back and do work on our property anytime! Other than JJ he is the nicest employee I’ve yet met.

The corporate business structure of a recurring service contract is possibly a bit miss leading but bugs aren't a one time problem so this makes sense. The local group have been amazing to work with. Techs know their stuff, are nice to deal with and haven't had any problems with our dogs who think they're the center of any visit. We've had all our questions answered and they've even identified potential problems that we didn't know about as new owners of the house. It's early in the season so I can't really comment on the effectiveness of the product (boxelder bugs in the fall will be the true test) but all the interactions we've had with the team have been great.

I was very impressed with everything that Justin told me and readily signed up although it is too soon to tell if everything works like they said but I’m guessing it will.

Revision 9/3/2020. The service team seems to be constantly rotating and it's been a mixed experience of people who know what they are talking about vs. just waiving a duster around the house. I was using this service for prevention vs. extermination. Continuing to see wasps on the house and in our trees. The team is friendly and no negative feedback there. It's hard to justify the quarterly service fee for 10 - 15 minutes of work.

We have only had two treatments, but thus far we haven’t seen an ant, spider, or box elder bug yet! Tim was our tech today and he did a great job! Very professional, thorough and friendly. He assured me if we did see any insects before the quarterly treatment to just give a call and they’ll be right out. I am seriously impressed with the level of attention and professionalism we have received from everyone, Nick, Tristan, Tim. They thoroughly go over everything they’re going to do that day and ask if we have any specific concerns or areas that need more attention. Now THAT’S customer service.
