We absolutely loved our experience at this facility. The instructors out west, Mrs. Hall and Ms. McAnderson, are absolutely amazing with the students. Our daughter not only learned physical skills in class, but also valuable lessons on setting goals, integrity, and how to generally handle herself in various situations. Both instructers are so encouraging and get excited for the students when they are able to grasp a new skill. I highly recommend giving this studio a try!

My daughter has been enrolled here for two years and she Loves it! I have seen a dramatic increase in her confidence and improvement of her class room behavior. Also her overall balance and fine motor skills have improved. The forms started out simple in the beginning but have gradually increased in level, which I do very much appreciate, for the forms and skills kept her occupied and continued to challenge her. My daughter in particular can get bored easily, but so far we haven’t had any issues of that. I also like how my daughter has to earn her rank. If she does not perform or practice the task given she will not be given a stripe or new belt. I prefer my child learn this lesson early. Baby number 2 will definitely enroll when he is old enough.

My 6 year old daughter has been attending class here since February 2015. We saw an immediate improvement in attitude and her ability to focus. She has also learned self-control and has a strong sense of pride. She loves all of the instructors, and still enjoys attending class. In the past 5 months I’ve also joined class, and as an adult find it fun and enjoyable. I would highly recommend this for any age.

Empower Martial Arts is AMAZING! The encouragement they give with their can do attitude is a great source of confidence for kids. Through martial arts they are teaching our child life skills, mentally and physically. It truly is the best! We are proud to be part of the Empower family!

My son Austin and I both received black belts from this school. It one of the best experiences of my life, and I know the quality of the instructors and training program had everything to do with my positive experience. Not only did my son grow leaps and bounds in his ability to deal with challenges, but he learned how to truly show respect to authority and I could not be more happy with this program. I would recommend it to anyone. Martial arts teaches respect and discipline like no other sport can. Now my daughter is excelling through the ranks, and she couldn't be more excited for any sport. What's happening to her self concept and confidence is amazing. This school and it's instructors are have over 75 years of combined experience in martial arts.

We’ve had nearly a year long experience with Empower. Professional, dedicated to the physical and mental growth of the students. Patience and outstanding communication were definitely witnessed. The way in which Empower handled the safety and engagement of each student during COVID-19 was nothing less than remarkable. Even during the very first week of uncertainty in March Empower was up and running classes via Zoom before others. This transformed into biweekly classes, story times, and social enrichment (games, discussions on Zoom.) During our spring of quarantine, Empower became a true source of predictably for our child, as he met with instructors and classmates 4x a week online. As an early childhood professional, I found that Empower offered developmentally appropriate content and guidance. Senior Master Beisel even took the time to offer a one-on-one zoom lesson with our child after we had a technology glitch. I highly encourage this program and business for parents looking to introduce their child to physical fitness and respect. Much gratitude!

Absolutely LOVED taking classes here! Instructor made sure we were included even though we were brand new and had no idea what we were doing. He was very good at breaking it down, pushed us to our full potential and made us feel very EMPOWERED! Definitely recommend if you are looking for self defense - Krav Maga classes or martial arts classes for you or your children!

I have been taking my son to classes since last December, with brief periods of absences due to our busy lifestyle. The school has been wonderful in understanding and meeting the needs of our family, personally. Very easy to work with, in fact. My son has learned a bit more about responsibility and respect and I LOVE LOVE LOVE that discipline and routines are heavily taught. I do think it's a bit pricey, but that;s because I am a struggling, full time, single mother and sometimes have to make extremely difficult situations into magically positive ones. $197/ month would be very helpful to me, but I understand the cost and if I could find a way to get my son to lessons more than 2 times a week, I might feel better about the cost. All of that being said, the only criticisms I have, are that I feel sometimes Master Beisel isn't as involved as I'd like him to be. I only say that because I love that he doesn't let my son slip through the cracks when he's not following instructions. Some of the other "teachers" are less strict or occupied with other students to notice. My son needs what Master Beisel has to offer. Also, communication between the instructors and myself have been subpar. I have left several messages for a return call and made several attempts to reach someone, in the past, and wouldn't hear back. Lastly, I think some protocols/education on how the program works, or what the students are expected to do, were missed when we signed up so it's been confusing and frustrating to follow along. Other than that, we are please with our experience.

Empower Martial Arts is an incredible place to learn and train in martial arts. I have been doing Krav Maga for 10 months now and couldn’t imagine going anywhere else. The instructors are very patient and understanding and they truly want the students to learn and ask questions. They push you to be the best you can and have high expectations for the students. I go four days a week and it has become my second home and my escape. I feel comfortable training with both the men and women there and truly feel like part of a team. It’s worth every penny!

I went to Empower from 8th grade to the end of my freshman year of college. Everyone there was always incredibly kind and respectful and I had a lot of fun there. Even when I moved across the country, they were still willing to work with me and set up a system where I train 1 on 1 with them over video call so that I could continue working towards my blackbelt. Although I had to stop because school and work grew to take up a lot more of my time, I still intend on going back and earning my black belt. I've learned more than just self defense. I've learn patience, trust, and most importantly respect. I highly recommend Empower! You won't be disappointed!
