Hi. I admit I was a bit surprised at the level of fitness it takes to complete these classes with proper form. The instructors are very good at keeping each individual focused on the isometric and strengthing impact of the bands, barre and other the exercise tools. The music is great, the staff is warm and welcoming and the work outs are worth the time and the money. No doubt through commitment and proper form everyone will realize visible results in the area of body sculpting.

Checked out the free foundations class -never did any Barre fitness before. Already in love with this type of workout!! It’s challenging and you can really feel your muscles working. Can’t wait to go back!!

I have been a member of Pure Barre Virginia Beach for just shy of 3 months now. It came recommended to me by my mom who is a member at a studio in another state so I thought I would give it a try a try! Since my first class, a love has flourished! Pure Barre has become engrained into my lifestyle and something I look forward to each and every day. It may not look like a lot from a distance, but Pure Barre is much more challenging than you'd think! It only makes sense why one of our phrases is "embrace the shake" because, BOY, will you shake! The classes and movements are constantly changing (you wont get bored!) and there are always modification options offered, making it enjoyable for all ages and body types! The staff at the Barre are empowering, friendly and are truly there because they feel passionately about what they are teaching. And I guarantee, soon enough, you will too! Stephanie, Madison, Michaela and Kensey are my favorite teachers (although they are all incredible), so be sure to check out their classes when you join! Don't put it off any longer- I promise, you will LOVE IT! & a big thank you Pure Barre for being the best studio in town and my favorite home away from home. Love you guys.

I have been going to Pure Barre Virginia Beach for five years, since they opened. I can say that I loved it from the every first day. I have always worked out, mostly just with machines and free weights, but Pure Barre has totally changed my body, as in, it has become very toned and I even have muscle definition in my arms. All the instructors are incredible and patient and will take the time after class to explain or answer any questions you may have. Pure Barre is almost like its owe little community of dedicated women who are there to better themselves, cheer others on and even feel their pain. I have made so many new friends since starting Pure Barre. Would definitely recommend anyone trying a class. The only thing you would regret is not trying it sooner!

I have been going to both the Norfolk and Virginia Beach location for almost two years and I absolutely love the studio! The workout is really great for sculpting your body, as well as shedding a few pounds. I have never gotten bored with the routines since they are constantly changing and each teacher has their own style. The teachers are very nice, helpful and always encourage you to push within your limits! They are always giving you helpful corrections and encouragement during class too. The facility is convenient and clean. They also sell workout merchandise, so if you forget no worries they got you covered! Love this place it is the best workout I have ever had.

Awesome studio! It’s clean and well organized, with very friendly and helpful instructors. I would highly recommend Pure Barre to anyone who wants to improve their body tone and definition. Each instructor has something a little different to offer so you never feel like you’re just repeating the same moves. That keeps it challenging, interesting, fun, and a great sweat!

LOVE PBVB and recommend it to all friends!!! Every instructor is motivating and welcoming and clearly LOVE what they do. Love them all! Pure Barre is a challenging class that not only shapes/tones your body but also your mental strength and self-motivation! I was hooked after trying it my first time and have been going for 2+ yrs now. Classes are never boring & never the same! Definitely recommend to anyone who has ever considered but has never tried it before!!

Pure Barre Virginia Beach is amazing! It’s a challenging workout but so much fun at the same time. I have only been 5 times so far but I really enjoy it. The atmosphere doesn’t make you feel uncomfortable and it’s so welcoming to know that if you need a minute to breath, it’s ok. All the instructors seem very knowledgeable and willing to help. Now if only my schedule would allow me to go more then once a week!!!!

Pure Barre has become my new favorite! The instructors are fantastic and make you work every minute of those 55 minutes. Very different from the traditional strength training classes but I look forward to every class. So glad I joined.

I have been taking classes here for a couple of years. This is a great environment to tone and sculpt without judgement, only support! Always a clean studio and equipment. And most importantly, the instructors are always welcoming and upbeat... even at 6am, when I need it from them the most. I keep my back pain away by keeping my core firm with Pure Barre, added benefits are long, lean, tone muscles and that Pure Barre ledge!

I never realized how much I needed Pure Barre in my life! I have been taking classes regularly for close to three years, and It has truly changed me both physically and mentally. My body is leaner and it's the one hour of each day where I get to focus on me and only me. The community of instructors and other clients is also something that is immeasurable. We encourage each other, and the friendships that are gained are amazing. Don't get me wrong- the workout is challenging, but even though I have been taking classes for years, my body still gets sore and it never gets easier.

I have completed my 5th class for pure barre now and I love it. It’s a great mix of yoga and aerobics. I wanted to find something to tone and get my heart rate up and the classes offered are perfect. All the instructors are great and very helpful with modifications during class!!

After finally completing my BSN degree, I was able to redeem the Pure Barre gift certificate that my baby nephew gave me for my birthday/Christmas! I purchased the new client special of unlimited classes during the first month for $100. Amanda was friendly over the phone and when I registered at the studio. The instructor, Arianna, was also friendly and welcoming as I attended my first class today! She helped me set up and corrected my posture/alignment during class. She was energetic and kept the class exciting. She also told me about the Breaking the Barre class, which was held monthly on Sundays. The class involved low-impact, yet isometric movements that worked the muscles in women's typical problem areas. I felt so out of shape, but pushed myself and sweated to the end. I reminisced of my ballet and jazz dance days many years ago, and I enjoyed pretending to be a ballerina again. I'm looking forward to taking more classes at Pure Barre in Hilltop and Ghent.

I'm a newbie to Pure Barre and recently completed my 5th class. I am slim, but not toned and have been looking for something that can help me reach my goals. At first, I felt extremely intimidated in a room full of clients with their PB gear on looking so strong and confident while I'm barely hanging on to understand the lingo and get the form right. Everyone from the instructors to the clients kickin seat next to you are vibrant, encouraging and really make you feel at home. 6/20/19 Update- A few months shy of my one year mark, I'm still loving the PB life! This place is awesome. I went for my first class tonight and had Erin as my trainer. She is phenomenal. I had no idea what I was doing and she came to help during the class and shows you the correct way. Even though I was new to the group the other ladies and staff members were super motivating and helpful. I will definitely be back again. Loved it!!!

All the instructors are attentive and can suggest levels of adjustments for each position. Definitely recommend Breaking Diwn the Barre instruction class to get an idea of what the goal of the class is. This is also perfect for strengthening ankles, knees and hips. I find Pure Barre compliments my strength training.

It has been so long since I have taken any kind of group class and I was very anxious about it. Ericka my instructor was awesome in making me feel comfortable and was very helpful in showing me the proper technique of certain exercises. Leanne the receptionist was very informative. I'm new to Pure Barre, and was a little intimidated. Everyone was friendly. I got through the class, concentrating on form, giving myself a break for not looking perfect. The teacher was great about making corrections without making you feel like you had two left feet...which I do. I was sore the next day, but good sore.
