Tony is an excellent coach. His passion for training is evident in everything he does; from the moment you meet him and the time he takes to understand your goals, to the patience he has in each session, especially making sure you have perfect form and an understanding of the science behind the movement. I’ve seen great progress in just 3-4 months, and I have a greater appreciation for the process because of his coaching style.
Super fun and good humoured, Tony has created a non-intimidating environment to train. The whole team is friendly, approachable, and make you feel like you belong. They meet you where you are and inspire you to be better. I cannot recommend Sandbothe Strong enough: whatever your goals, they can help with the training plan, the nutrition, the motivation, and the fun.

Tony and his wife are such incredible trainers! I had hurt my back when I retired from competing on the WTA tour as a professional tennis player. I used to love lifting really big and heavy weights and had not been able to for years until I met Tony. With his unique technique and years of experience, I lift heavy again, safely! The gym is a fantastic family of very diverse people of all walks of life. Everyone is welcoming, encouraging and has your back, literally!

I’ve been training with Tony for almost a year now, and appreciate his goal oriented and thoughtful approach to training. I started going with my husband to prep for our wedding; I had no real experience with free weights and Tony made it approachable, easy to learn, and fun. It’s been 2 months since our wedding - we reached our weight goals and are continuing our fitness journey with Tony! I love the feeling of strength and accomplishment his training has given me over the past 11 months. The atmosphere he, his wife, and Alex create as trainers in the gym is low-key, friendly, and zero pressure, which is what keeps me motivated to keep coming back. They are a stark and welcome contrast to the big, commercial factory gyms I was used to going to. Tony is a fantastic trainer and an even better human. I was apprehensive when I started because I could barely lift my shoulder above my head. But, five months in, I have complete flexibility. He does a great job explaining his training methods and constantly rotating his workouts, so it never gets boring.

She has taught me so much about the importance of proper form and technique since we've started training about two years ago. She's incredibly knowledgeable and I appreciate how each session is intentionally tailored towards helping me grow stronger and more confident, both inside and outside the gym. Tony is a fantastic coach/trainer. I was looking for someone to help me with strength conditioning after a bad MCL injury. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and set up a specific plan for me to succeed. I came in with a max squat of 225 lifetime and within 5 months hit 315. Through his coaching, instruction, and guidance I have been able to successfully build my strength and knowledge. Great atmosphere and you can't beat his taste in music. Would recommend to anyone!

Alex is a phenomenal trainer and I can’t recommend him, and this gym, enough. Before I started training here, I had tried lifting on my own a few times, but always wound up hurting myself and would have to call it quits after just a couple of months. It’s been a completely different experience since I started working with Alex almost a year ago. He creates challenging workouts, but always ensures they are done with proper technique. His programming makes sure that weak points are appropriately targeted so you really see quick progress. If you’re interested in getting into shape and getting stronger, definitely make an appointment with Alex!

Before I started training with Alex, I was going to group fitness classes somewhat regularly and seeing minimal results. I didn't have much experience with personal trainers or strength programs and was a little intimidated to give it a shot. In nine months, I've seen huge improvements in my strength, athleticism, and overall confidence — and I've learned a ton along the way. Alex is very in-tune with how to motivate his clients and adapt advanced training systems to their specific needs — even when they're recovering from injuries.
