I personally enjoy coming to this facility. The front door staff have always been pleasant. They greet every time I walk in. The equipment has a wide variety to choose from. It’s easy to move between free weights and machines without any hassle. My only issue with this place is a particular trainer. He’s not very polite. He likes to speak poorly about other clients regarding their personal fitness goals. I just never made eye to eye with him. I’ve never had a conversation with him (don’t plan on it either). It’d be nice if all the staff strived to empower others through fitness, and ultimately supported others to reach their goals. Cough… Chad Gomarko.

The facility was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I needed to work out some soar muscles so I did some exercises and stretching in the therapy pool. Water was nice and warm. Hot tub was clean although notbto hot but the people were really nice and struck up cordial conversation. They also have a dry sauna and steam room. I now it's a small thing but this gym actually has decent size towels that are soft instead of the small scratchy ones most places have.

My husband and I are new to Sioux Falls and wanted to check out this facility. Jason, Manager, gave us a tour and a three day pass. I cannot say enough good things about our entire experience! He was friendly and professional, taking pride in his business and community. The facilities were gorgeous, clean and well laid out. I have been in many gyms over the course of my 20+ year bodybuilding pursuit. This one was tops. They have a spa setup with hot tub, sauna (wet and dry) as well as a pool (by appt only for COVID). The locker rooms were spa quality with all toiletries provided-even shaving cream and hair gel!

We love this place. Extremely clean. All staff are professional and kind and more than willing to help with any questions. The classes available are awesome, and there is something for everyone. CNC is also a great plus for a healthy (or unhealthy) snack post workout

The fitness center is well kept and the equipment is in great working order. The locker room is always clean and well stocked with towels, shampoo, soap, conditioner and lotion. The swimming pool is wonderful. The stall is very helpful and the trainers are excellent. If you miss a week they even send you reminders to get you back in the swing of things. They are great !!

Changing my rating from 5 stars to 3. Not sure what has happened, but that staff are genuinely unhappy. The front desk folks don't seem to care if you are there or not, the floor staff are grumpy, and the management is happy to sit in their offices, or grump the few times they come out. The facilities are fantastic...so 3 stars. But the staff...not so much.

Very nice gym and always well kept. I used to always have a membership here, but with their restrictions and reduced hours I will go elsewhere. Closing early makes no sense as more people have to come to fit into the reduced hours. It's a business move, and it's not good for the member.

Anthony is the best physical therapist around! He listens and yet pushes me in order to get the best possible outcome! Six weeks after left knee replacement and I'm almost as good as new!

I went here as a guest, and the facility was amazing! Full amenities for showering after your workout is a great feature. There is also children's care for parents. I took a swim aerobics class and Charissa the instructor was awesome. I got a quick tour from by Sister, and the fitness center is nice and spread out with lots of room and equipment.

Great pool, warm water pool and hot tub. The upstairs has all of the cardio equipment and weights you would ever need. It's clean and we'll maintained. I've done physical therapy there for a knee replacement. Terry and Mark did an outstanding job on getting me back on my feet.

A really fancy health club. The supply toiletries, towels and lockers where you make up your own combination. They've got lots of classes starting early in the morning; a salt water lap pool for swimming. They've got a steam room, sauna and hot tub in both the women's and men's locker rooms. The hot tub I'm the women's locker room has the most powerful jets of any one I've been in. There's even a little cafe in the lobby area. You'd think I'd be a member. I would if I lived in Sioux Falls.

I think the Avera Fitness Center isn't the fitness center it was known as 15 years ago...Don't get me wrong, it's still a pretty nice place, but it seems to have an "old boys club" feel to it. The color schemes are dated, but the equipment is of high quality. The reason I bring up the decor and clientele is because of the price. My wife and I pay just over $100 a month. We have kids, but it's more to take them to the child care portion of the club, so we go at separate times, which means we don't go as often as we would like. With the Great Life perks and lower price, I would strongly consider checking them out. You would think with the competition, Avera would try a little harder to stay relevant. We will probably be dropping our membership soon to make way for a more family friendly option.

A pool, whirlpool, steam room, and dry sauna are all available to members, along with a well kept locker room. This is all on top of the nice gym equipment, included classes, and full basketball court. All the instructors here have been super helpful and people are very friendly and inclusive at all the classes, regardless of your fitness level. The friendliness of the staff and other members makes it easier to go to the gym and try new and challenging classes.

This place is amazing! So many different ways to get your exercise is even with existing health problems making it harder then normal. The pools are a really great way to work out if the other machines aren't up your alley. While the membership is a bit high you do get a lot of benefits! Including the fact that the memberships aren't on contract, so if you're unable to pay them it's much easier to cancel then other gyms. Lastly because it's offered by Avera it can go on your HSA if you have one, making it just a bit easier to manage!

, clean facility. It has lockers that have built in locks, lots of toiletries which include lotion soap, shampoo , body wash etc. Of course, towels & mouthwash. They have lots is classes to chose from. Separate hot tubs, saunas steam rooms. One of each in both men's women's locker rooms.

I went here for years, and between the steam room and indoor pool; it has set a bar that no other gym has been able to meet. Excellent equipment, friendly staff, clean equipment, etc . . . But I had to give up my membership because of the ~75/month cost. If you can afford it and don't mind a busy gym between 5 and 7pm, this is the best place to exercise in the area.

As someone who doesn't typically like gyms, I love this place! Always clean, helpful and friendly staff, great atmosphere, and hot tub in the locker room so you don't have to worry about the creepy old men that you so often see at other places always taking it up! ;)

Gym is excellent, equipment good, great sauna. The ONLY Huge major draw back is the extra help staff in the green shirts up in the equipment fitness area never bother to clean or wipe down the equipment in their free time? Nor do they remind any of the sweaty folks using the equipment to wipe up after themselves! I assume it is their job to clean the equipment as occasionally they go pick up towels. Tim is the only person I have ever seen wipe down equipment and I've been an active member for the last 6 years. Please adress this.

Large, clean gym with alot of different equipment. They offer a multitude of classes. The locker/shower area provides large towels and complimentary amenities: shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, bodywash, lotion, mouthwash and hairdryer. Childcare available for an additional monthly fee.

This place is really nice, a little spendy but you get what you pay for. Would be nice if they had a referral reward program because I have recommended this place to many friends. They really helped me keep on track instead of just shoving me at the equipment with the same fitness plan as everyone else. I am very happy to have joined here.
