I’ve tried other gyms and other trainers, and nothing stuck for me. My husband convinced me to give Epic a try and from day 1 I felt comfortable and confident with the workouts they’ve given me. I needed to change my program to accommodate some physical therapy, and they’ve kept me on track and feeling my best. They always check in, always make changes when I need them and are incredibly knowledgeable. I feel better than I have felt in a long time, and it has positively affected every other aspect of my life. The trainers are all incredible, I love working with all of them. If you are looking for a gym, give Epic a try. You won’t regret it.

Epic Fitness is too awesome!! I have never had personal coaches before and everyone at Epic is extremely welcoming and friendly. They are open to listening to our opinions and make changes to the program such that they fit our body and goals. I was just there for a month but have seen so many changes in my energy levels and strength over the course of the program. Epic Fitness has changed my life. I have always been an active person, rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, skiing, and scuba diving. When the pandemic hit like most, I stopped my usual routine. I became inundated with pandemic response work. Then my best friend introduced me to Epic. I was welcomed with open arms. The coaches helped me finetune my form. They have taught me how to do exercises correctly without getting hurt. They have helped me bring out the best attributes in my body. But most importantly, they have helped me be grateful for who I am. They have helped me recognize the power that I have. They have supported me through challenges. You’re either coming out of covid fit, fat, or dead. I really only wanted the first option. For the first eight months of covid, I gestated a flabby physique. I wasn’t getting out and it was really showing. So I made the decision to birth a better lifestyle and joined Epic Fitness. Being just two blocks from my house, and having heard good reviews of other “neighborhood gyms”, I chose to invest in myself and start working out regularly. Epic had taken significant steps to adapt to covid and that was just one hallmark of their dedication to excellence visible throughout the gym and business. The practices I found there were continued as covid waned and the gym moved to a new location. Epic Fitness has superb facilities with top-notch training gear. This is shown through available Glute Loops, exercise bands, mats, plates, hex bars, boxes, and training field, but, most of all, the knowledgeable instructors are always on hand for one-on-one help and guidance. And I don’t casually include them in this list of gear because Epic is truly centered around the experience of their members and their commitment to excellence is reflected in all their employees. Expect to be greeted with a smile every time you come and go, and by name. I didn’t stay at Epic just because of the staff but I’m proud now to call many of them friends. Workouts may be self-guided or under the immediate supervision of a trainer. Workouts are tailored to each individual. The trainers put together programs based on your level of fitness with new programs every dozen workouts. Epic is a Functional Strength Training program. This approach builds fitness as a body-whole slowly bringing your fitness up as a complete unit. The workouts are phone app-driven so you’ll see a phone or tablet next to everyone in the gym. But let me define who everyone is… It is very rare to ever have more than 10 members working out at the same time. This number is not facility size limited. It’s a part of Epic’s offering as a neighborhood gym. There are never less than two trainers in the gym and I’ve seen as many as six in there. Outnumbering the members is not unheard of. Epic is not a muscle-bound gym. The members are of respectable age and able to afford such a pristine environment. Loud grunting is only heard when Mitch makes a joke. These are everyday people who care about their health and make an effort to put in the effort. Coming from a big-box gym you may not appreciate all the amenities of Epic. But, if you go back to one, you’ll be in for a shock at what you put up with. Since becoming a member, the biggest takeaway for me is the know-how to work out correctly. I’ve worked out for most of my life but the techniques I learned at Epic are far and above everything I have learned before. I really appreciate the time I have spent working out at Epic Fitness. I lost significant weight and am keeping it off. I’m healthy and have good muscle fitness and I can do anything I ask of my body. Ben Fogel has really created something wonderful in Millcreek.

I’ve had such an incredible experience with Epic. The facility is clean, equipped, well maintained. The program was truly customized, no cookie cutter box gym bs template. The coaches and staff were some of the most authentic individuals I’ve ever interacted with. That is probably my favorite part. They took the time to listen, observe to make modifications, push me when I was ready or take it down a notch if needed. They were big on correct form, consistency, being supportive and motivating. Even on my worst days, I never once felt unwelcome or judged by the staff or any members. There is a community vibe in the gym if you want to be a part or if you’re more of a lone wolf you can easily be that role in this gym as well without prejudice. The classes are small, short, intense, effective. If anything constructive to say, I wish they had more operating hours and additional classes offered. The owner is local and very hands on. You can often find him at the gym coaching, teaching a class, working out, or just chatting with people. He is always responsive and friendly. I would highly recommend this gem of a gym to anyone considering getting their fitness on track!!

I’ve gained so much coming here. They are so helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and amazing. My body feels and looks better than ever. My aches and pains are gone because I’ve been given workouts that more suit what I need. The coaches check often to make sure I’m on track and getting out of the experience what I need. Epic Fitness has exceeded all my expectations! Normally I find trainers to be annoying and pushy ("Just one more...") and focused only on outcomes they can measure like my weight or inches lost. I initially resisted having a trainer more than once a week, but Epic is different. They listen! The focus is on the client and the client's goals. I clearly stated my goals (1. Moving in ways that make me feel good and encourage me to keep moving 2. Being active 3 days a week) and they entirely focus on those goals. They asked if I wanted to participate in some measures. I declined because I don't want to get distracted from my actual goals. The response was complete respect and acceptance of my answer. The trainers continually check in on how I'm doing with my goals. It's clear they understand what I'm trying to achieve and they support me in that. I always leave excited to come back. It's refreshing to have a place that listens and respects my personal goals.

If you are looking for a place to just get gains and hang with the bros in a sea of machines and cables, best of luck in your search. If you are looking for a gym that has attentive and supportive coaches, a personalized workout plan created and taught by people who know what they’re talking about, and a great community feeling where you are surrounded by others who are trying to live their best healthy life then this is the place for you. Epic Fitness Utah has been such a game changer for me. I have tried other big-box gyms in the past and usually ended up in the dark theater room because I didn’t know how to really utilize the weight machines and didn’t want to end up on the internet in one of those “gym fail” videos. That won’t happen now because the coaches at Epic show you all the proper moves and correct way to use any of their equipment. They also build a personalized workout program after talking to you about your fitness and health goals. This is the first time in my life that I have been this consistent with any workout program or gym membership and I attribute that to the personal touches that Epic offers. From the reserved parking spot the first day I went to talk to them about signing up to the coaches learning my name the first time they met me to the greetings, high fives, and shout outs I get every time I’m there to the Friday morning class starting “Fun Sock Friday”. You aren’t just a membership number here - you are part of a community. A community of people who are willing to support, cheer, and help keep you accountable through your health journey.

I want to share my story. I have been a member of Epic fitness for the past 4 years. It was getting close to my annual renewal and I thought I would check out a closer gym who I could train with. I met with a trainer at another gym and he was so excited that I would change from Epic to their gym. I let him know that I wasn't 100 percent on what I would ultimately do. After a day or two of emotional roller coaster decisions. I decided I couldn't give up this amazing gym and family. All the team and all the members treat each other like family and are beyond encouraging and friendly. I went back to the gym I was going to try out and let them know that I just couldn't make the change. I was asked what keeps you going to Epic.. I let him know that it is the personalized training programs that they write. The atmosphere and how it feels to just walk in each day! All the coaches and members really care about you and are there for any help you need. The following week I went for a class and one of the members who I hadn't seen in a while said "it is so great to see you".. it made me feel happy and know I made the right decision. My sister also said I don't think you should quit going to Epic because they have been so good for you. If you are looking for a training gym, I would highly recommend you giving them a try. You might think I can't afford it but you you can't put a price on your health and getting encouragement to work towards your individual goals.. whatever that is.. Thank you Epic fitness family.

I signed up with Epic Fitness a year ago to get in better shape before a total knee replacement that was scheduled for May 2021. By three weeks after surgery I was 6 weeks ahead of recovery schedule and back at the gym by 5 weeks after surgery. Now it's been 6 months and feeling great. The trainers at Epic Fitness are not only fun and personable but professional, knowledgeable and always have my best interest in mind. I love the personalized workouts that are accessed through their app. The gym is very clean and organized with sanitizer throughout the facility to wipe down the equipment I've used. Best investment in myself I've ever made.

Thanks so much to Mitch and Robert! You guys are the best! I just finished up the Kettlebell Strong series with these guys and couldn't have been more happy with the program. My wife has been a member of Epic Fitness for quite a while now (couple years?) and she's always had great things to say about it. She signed me up for the program after I asked about the proper technique on some moves. So happy she did! Ben and his team at Epic are the real deal when it comes to fitness! It's not a typical gym. You don't go in and work out by yourself. You also don't go in and meet solely with one trainer, wondering what is this person going to do with me today. Instead, their method includes a systematic program personalized to you. They will ask you when's something hurts or even if you don't like a particular move. They will talk to you about your goals and help you achieve them. First let me explain why my review is valid. I have spent plenty of investment in custom programs "tailored to my needs" and I have participated in several college level athletic programs. I have also done Olympic TOSH speed training as well as your home work outs like p90x and insanity over the years and none of them gave me the inner satisfaction with results I was feeling and seeing. I first saw and heard more about Epic Fitness a year ago at the Utah health and fitness expo in 2014. Their hours are decent, they have personal programs built to what YOU want, nutritional guide, and a trainer to assist at all hours. I've never felt so taken care of until I found Epic Fitness. I've now been a member for 10 months and since that time I've lost close to 100 pounds. My personal goals have never been such a priority until now and without Ben and his Epic fitness staff I wouldn't even dream of the results I'm getting right now. If you're truly desiring more out of your personal health. Take my word and sign up for Epic Fitness.

This gym is amazing. I have never been to a gym with such a great atmosphere, not only are the trainers amazing but all the members. Everyone motivates each other like I've never seen before. I went to my Dr last year because I thought I was having hormone problems and her only suggestion (after multiple tests) was to go to they gym. I got a membership to a big name gym and started going. Since this was the first time I had pretty much ever been to the gym since I had my baby and gained 75 lbs I found it very hard to get myself motivated just to go and do the ONE thing I actually knew I was doing correctly (the treadmill). It was very hard to look around and see everyone else that knew what they were doing and wondering what I was doing wrong. I couldn't afford the personal trainers at the gym so I decided to give up. But then a friend showed me Epic Fitness and I got to go to a week of free classes. I had never been somewhere like this before, if I did something wrong they showed me the correct way to do it, it was exactly what I needed to build my confidence at the gym. I started going to Epic in December of 2014 and I cannot even express how happy I am with the way I look and more importantly, the way I feel. Epic Fitness changes lives, if you are ready for that positive change you have been looking for you need to come to Epic.

What I’ve learned through my journey at Epic Fitness ...Improving yourself 1% every day is a journey and takes time. Quick fixes don’t work. Epic is an amazing place to go for truly individualized training. They start by understanding your health and wellness goals and the team creates a program custom designed for YOU! Want a better golf swing (check) higher vertical on the basketball court (check) improve your personal weaknesses in the gym (check). You will not run on the treadmill here, you will get a unique full body training program to reach your personal fitness goals! They also have a few group metabolic classes that are a blast to really burn those calories. Mitch doesn't hold back. Highly recommend giving them a visit to learn more!

This is a small gym so it is impossible to get lost. The training staff Ben, Kambie and Suzy, are so knowledgeable and are always available to assist and ensure that moves and exercises are done correctly. This gym is my "home away from home." everyone is so warm and welcoming and encouraging. I feel like my fitness level has increased 10 fold because of my experience working out at this gym. Just check out the photos on Epic's website,.... you can change your body too. I would like to keep this gym as my little secret but, I guess I will encourage others to join....it's one of the best things you can do for yourself!

I joined Epic Fitness last year at age 55 with 3 main goals: improve my cardio endurance, tone my overall body and increase my strength for cycling. Ben did a complete assessment when I joined and wrote a personalized program to get me started. I had pain issues with my knees and shoulder, so the exercises were designed to build my strength slowly and without injury. As I gained strength and endurance, the personalized programs became more challenging, but he always kept a close eye on my injuries. After a year, I'm at the weight I want to be and I've lost 13% of my body fat, not to mention the fact that I'm able to climb hills much faster than every before. At my last phyiscal my cholesterol had dropped to its lowest level in 20 years and I'm now able to get off my medication. The staff is always attentive and helpful.

Well worth the money, if you’re serious about staying in great shape or just want to be around great people.
