If you’re looking for a gym, look no further! Ryan (the owner) only hires the very best to be part of his team. I watched the fitness journey of one of his clients, now turned IRV FIT instructor, Seana, over a two-year period and that is what prompted me to reach out to her to see if she knew of someone that could work with my special needs grown son. When she recommended Ryan, I never hesitated! It’s been the best decision ever to incorporate a weekly personal training session with Ryan for my son. He’s professional, kind, flexible, and all-around great human being! Everyone at this gym mirrors his excellence. They work with every type of person: Needs to get in shape Needs to stay in shape Professional Newbie Training for a sport Special needs person needing a specialized program Group Individuals And everything in between And the gym itself? It’s clean, stocked with everything you need, and simply and tastefully decorated. It’s super welcoming! Seriously, this is the gym for your fitness journey! Check them out!

Being a member at Irv Fit has honestly been life changing for me. I started last year around February after reaching out to a friend who was already a member here. This place is more than just a gym. I have built some really great friendships and crossed paths with some really amazing people. I am physically and mentally stronger since starting here. I love everything about this gym. Ryan and Seana are more than personal trainers to me. They are friends that have turned into family. Being a member at Irv will add so much to your life. The second I walk through those doors, my mood instantly changes. The environment is so fun and upbeat, I love it. And if you’re looking for a special place to break out the dance moves, Irv Fit is for you!!!! :)

IRV FIT offers an upbeat, clean, and welcoming space. I am always greeted with a warm hello and a smile from all of the trainers. I have never taken any of the small group classes, but I can say that every time I’ve been in the gym when there is a class, the clients and the trainers look like they’re working hard and having a blast! I’ve worked with personal trainers on and off for over 20 years. Ryan is, by far, the best I have ever trained with. I’ve been working with him for close to 7 years and have been challenged both physically and intellectually (!) every step of the way. The workouts are tailored to meet my capabilities and goals. I’ve had some health changes over the last couple of years and we work at my pace, always. Ryan has graciously accommodated me when I have schedule changes, etc. I appreciate his knowledge, his humor, and his kindness. IRV FIT is one of my favorite places to be. I know that when I walk through the doors I will be greeted by Ryan and Seana with a smile. IRV FIT is a warm welcoming environment for anyone looking to start their fitness journey or athletes who are looking to further their training. Each class is tailored to your individual needs and Ryan and Seana have a strategic approach to help you reach your goals. Classes are small which allows for one on one time with the trainers while remaining affordable. I have been training with Ryan since 2019 and began training with Seana in 2021. Ryan and Seana are two of the most kind hearted, dedicated, passionate people I know. They are invested in my growth in addition to my life. I have built confidence by seeing the weight I am able to squat or deadlift increase each week while feeling the health benefits of moving my body. Seana takes the time to explain how each movement should feel in your body and demonstrates how to perform the lift with proper technique. She plans her programing to fit the individual needs of each client. While being knowledgeable of the fact that each client is different and what might work for one person's body might not work for mine. She takes the time to research information specific to my body to help me be successful. It is evident to me that Seana and Ryan love their job and I look forward to working out with them every week!

I was looking for a personal trainer that is experienced and skilled to assist me in resuming workouts in lieu of sports injuries. I found Seana at IRV and glad I did! Seana is very attentive and dedicated in structuring a safe workout for me so that I can feel confident and excited about working out again. I knew when I when it was time to hire a personal trainer, IRV FIT would be the first choice. The reason being is I had heard many great reviews about this gym from friends and family over the years, and I will just say that all of those reviews were spot on accurate! IRV FIT and their trainers take the time to work you individually, ensuring you work around whatever issues you have and make the process of working out fun and entertaining. The group classes are blast too and every other gym member I've been in class with have been a lot of fun to be around (if you like group classes, I highly recommend IRV FIT for this reason!) I began strength training at IRV FIT to ensure that I can continue to fully participate in all the activities which I currently enjoy (ballroom dancing, gardening, biking and travel), and for my general health and spirit! I enjoy the positive feeling I get with each workout I complete, and appreciate the new friends I've made. I especially like the app which allows me to complete workouts at home when it is convenient for me. IRV FIT is a safe place for me to reach my goals; the gym is clean, spacious and well-ventilated. The coaches are supportive, instructive and well-trained. They explain the 'how and why' of each exercise so I feel confident in performing what they are asking me to do. Group classes are small and one-on-one training is geared to my specific needs. Sure, I was looking for muscle definition. I have been coming to IRV FIT since April 2022 and it has been an absolutely wonderful experience!!! I recently moved to RI and thought I would never find a place to workout that would match my old place. I DID!! You could not ask for better people or more knowledgeable trainers! I was referred to Ryan, the owner, by Pappas Physical Therapy in North Providence to re-establish sound movement patterns due to a hip impingement and a pinched nerve in my neck (not easy issues to deal with, I can assure you). As a former runner, rower, and fitness competitor, my expectations were naturally very high and Ryan surpassed them all! As personable as he is knowledgeable, he not only got me moving correctly with weights again, but also took the time to EXPLAIN the anatomy behind the exercises and WHY we were doing them. I have been training with IRV Fit for almost 2 years now, I came in with severe back pain, shoulder issues, and crooked posture. I was going to the chiropractor once sometimes twice a week for years just to feel better and Within about 6 months of seeing Ryan my visits to the chiropractor steadily decreased and now I might see the chiropractor 4 times a year. They help focus on strengthening your problem areas gradually instead of avoiding them which is tough in the beginning but when you trust the process it all comes together. I ve been wanting to get back to the gym but needed some motivation and a jump start- so I decided to sign up for group training sessions at Irvfit- they offer several classes/day accomodating most anyone's schedule. Each session combines the perfect mix of cardio and strength training I found the workout challenged me to push myself in ways I probably wouldn't on my own. The trainers pay close attention to each individual's needs- making sure they pace themselves and their form is correct These sessions are really helping me get back on track but I think what really stands out for me is the great atmosphere theyve created- warm and welcoming- a real sense of community that I have never seen in other gyms or training studios. I found Irvfit through Paladin-Pappas Physical Therapy. Because I have mobility issues due to a medical condition I liked the idea of training with someone who has the knowledge and experience as a physical therapy assistant in addition to being a certified personal trainer. My initial goal was to develop a weight bearing exercise program to help minimize my risk for osteoporosis I have been working with Anthony for nine months. I cannot believe the gains I have made in my strength, mobility, balance and confidence. Anthony is also coaching me on healthier eating habits, the weight loss I am achieving is an added bonus. The atmosphere is relaxed and the coaches are genuinely supportive. I never thought I would say I enjoy working out but I truly feel better than ever. Found Ryan and IRV through social media, and am so grateful to make this connection. I'm about to turn 40 and things are starting to get a little stiff and creaky. Ryan is attentive and knowledgeable, and his genuine interest in his clients is a rare thing. You will not see him playing with his phone, but instead he's on the floor or jumping up in the air (!!) too, focused on your movements and making sure you get the most from your time together.
