Great gym, in my opinion probably the best in South Brooklyn. There is almost everything you need for a workout. There are disadvantages of not timely maintenance of simulators. Some simulators are broken. Small sauna, maximum for five people.

It’s the nicest and most spacious gym in the area. It’s not cheap but means there’s less riff raff and not busy during rush hours. Couple of things they can improve is the digital lockers that are broke and the CrossFit area is not utilized by most gym goers. I believe going forward the gym will be better as they are adding more equipment and improving on the experience.

Fantastic gym in Coney Island area. Modern equipment. Cleanest facilities. Friendly staff. Well maintained locker room. Very affordable monthly fees. Look up their selection of morning and evening group classes. Try one. Professional coaches for personal and group training. Special mention to HIT and CrossFit classes. I am a physician with 20 years of Internal Medicine practice. If you care about your health, start with the gym membership. If you live in South Brooklyn, MatchPoint is the easier choice to make.

My first positive experience started with Valeriya who was very patient, professional, and responsive to my inquiries. I signed my son up for group swimming lessons. On his first day, it took the instructor 5 minutes to convince him to get into the water. Slow and steady progress still better than zero progress. The instructor is patient, and now my son enjoys getting in the water. The locker rooms/bathrooms are well maintained and clean. The lounge is very modern and provides great view of the swimming pool and tennis courts. I will consider signing up my other kids for lessons.

Friendly staff. Clean facility. My child comes every Friday nights for swimming. Their swim schedule is flexible with weekday and weekend availability. I usually chill at the cafe upstairs while waiting. There is plenty seating with healthy food/drink options. The large windows and TV screens allows you to watch your child who swims or plays tennis. There are 2 accessible parking lots located at the front and back entrances.

I switched over from blink to this gym with my husband! We got a membership during their holiday deal. This gym is huge! The locker room has a hot sauna inside for men’s and women’s. For extra amount you can use their pool that they have. They have classes included in your membership from Pilates, yoga, CrossFit, to boxing. This gym is really clean and well organized! Worth the price.

I have been working out by myself for over two years. Mainly lifting weight in order to gain muscle and lose fat. I began working with a personal trainer, Alexander Mikula, at Matchpoint in August 2022. Initially, I was reserved about spending the money on a personal trainer—I thought that I was doing a pretty good job by myself, but because my results have plateaued I decided to try a personal trainer anyway. I must say that the results have exceeded my wildest expectations. My fat/muscle composition had significantly changed within the first two months of our training, and I really began noticing the results. I also believe I got lucky with a personal trainer as well. They are not all the same. Alexander is a real enthusiast of fitness, highly knowledgeable in all the aspects—ranging from the expertise on human anatomy to sports nutrition. I mean, the guy really lives fitness, it is obviously his passion. I am not even sure who is happier about seeing the positive dynamics in the change of my body composition—me or him. When I started working with Alexander, I thought that it would last a month or so—just to get the finer points of fitness. It has been six months and we are continuing together, and I could not be happier. He is on top of all the body fitness science and monitors its development very vigilantly. As a result—I benefit in a big way. I am 52 and I never actually thought I would ever be able to do pull ups— I could not even do it when I was 18. My only regret is that I waited for so many years to start working out right. I highly recommend the guy—of course if you can get in on his busy schedule.

I like Matchpoint very much, this my favorite place. I use gym and pool and other yoga classes and etc already 3 years. all coworkers and trainers are very friendly, polite and security too. Everywhere is very clean, but the cashier Man in the lunch bar is very rude and so nervous to the customer and to me too. that makes me very disappointed. Or he needs more training how to be polite with customers or he needs to be a retirement

Great place to bring kids to learn sports. Tennis, swimming, gymnastcs. Clean facility. They have launge area and a cafe to orted healthy choices food or drink. If price is not an obstacle, great pleace to develop physical health.

Went here for my nephews birthday..and fell in love with the place. It was great. They had bouncy houses, basketball, badminton,and so much more for the kids. The staff was nice. I'm will definitely consider this place for my child's next birthday party.

Great facilities, very clean, BUT I decided to find another swimming pool for my kid, because it’s extremely not comfortable for parents to watch how their kids swim, we have to stay in a crowd in a narrow hallway, and we don’t see a much from the screen at the match point cafe, the quality of video not great, and i often didn’t see my kid, because he was swimming in the line of the pool which camera didn’t show They used to allowed for parent to sit on the bench by the pool, and it was great, if I would knew that now we have to stay and that extremely not comfortable area I would never by a swim classes there

Dear management, thank you for making the gym a great place. Please consider posting a sign in locker rooms asking members not to place gym towels on the floor. On a regular basis I see members placing towels on the floor, where someone was standing wearing dirty boots a moment ago, while they are drying themselves/changing.

I have been a member for over 5 years. I give solid 3 stars. The good: 1 star for facilities: plenty of space with options, 1 star for fitness classes (really good trainers on staff) and 1 star for cafe upstairs for great food choices/options. That’s where service and offerings stop short. The ugly: swimming pool: I have gold membership, which allows to swim in the pool. No one is managing the pool area at all. You have lifeguards checking phone/ playing loud music on speakers (pretending to be a nightclub) where sound bounces off water and creates loud echo sound throughout facility, you have swimming coaches, reserving swimming lanes for themselves to swim whenever they please and then you have gold members who pay around $100 and only get 2 swimming lanes most of the day. What happens is you have 3-5 people WAITING to swim. If you charge people $$$ to allow them to use the facility, people are not expected to wait in line to use 1-2 swimming lanes. Either stop selling gold membership or increase number of swimming lanes for club members. The other ugly side is smoking: so clearly smoking is not allowed inside of the facility. However, next to each entrance, you have staff, members and trainers constantly smoking. There are ash trays next to each entrance. When I bring my kids to practice at the facility to play sports, I don’t want her to see people smoking by the entrance! If you promote healthy lifestyle, smoking shall be banned throughout entire facility (inside and outside).

Immaculately clean. Nicest, friendly, most professional staff. I was there to see Dr Marcus for my knees & Gel shots. Dr Marcus, Pain Mgt. & her P.A. Julia, were exceptional! Explained everything each step of the way. Great care & effortless procedure. I recommend her & her P.A. to anyone seeking a Pain Management Dr. I was beyond pleased. My orthopedist, who recommended her made a superb recommendation. Forever Grateful!

Update - 7/23/2022 - Val's classes are the best!!!! This is why I love Matchpoint. To the Manager Of Matchpoint, please clarify why Matchpoint advertises outdoors classes? To date, I haven't seen an outdoor class. The facility is very clean and overall the staff is friendly. If you have questions, just ask, everyone is approachable. They offer lots of different classes and I've never seen so much equipment. There's never a shortage of treadmills or squat racks.

This place has a Slavic flavor, so don’t expect a lot of unreasonable smiles on every corner or from reception. However, trainers are very professional and dedicated to their work! Also the place (gym, courts, swimming pool, locker rooms) is very clean, and there is a lounge zone when you can watch the swimming pool or tennis courts (especially nice to have feature if you’re waiting for your kids), or have a snack. As a conclusion - highly recommend it, especially if you’re ok to spend a little bit extra $ in comparison to other gyms, but you also will get more!

Got a guest pass for 5 days and fell in love! Everything is clean, there you go towels, nice sauna, changing room. Went for zumba class first time in my life, so fun! Love the gym! All equipment is clean, looks like new. Got some tips from a personal trainer as well. They have so many classes for kids and parents can look on the screen what's going on in one or another class. Really cool. If you re a swimmer they have good sized pool, like tennis they have courts. Going to transfer from my gym there next month. Prices vary from $85 and up. Double check anyway.

EDIT: Met someone new at the cafeteria and I see a few new faces at the fitness center. Love the new people. What a huge difference! Horrible customer service within the facilities and over the phone. Very clean workout area, bathrooms and changing rooms. Lockers have digital locks. Parking on premises. Protein rich foods and snacks are available at the cafeteria, everything is tasty but the service is rude.

Nice facility with large parking lot. Facility is clean and we'll maintained but membership is expensive. I came for just classes so didn't have to pay for the membership but I have very limited usage of th3 facility.

Many of the reviews here state negative facts about the fitness center, but I am here to tell you about the swimming lessons for children. At first they give you a free trial, which seems to be fun and interesting and the instructor was watching every move. The actual lessons are harder but a bit fun. One instructor told my children to swim with only a small belt. They were in beginner 1. By the second lesson, my 5-year old daughter said she didn't like it because the instructor ignored her and left her alone in a huge pool. My other child continued, and thought it was difficult but still good during the 2ND lesson, which is 30 minutes swimming time and 15 minute warmups. Overall, I recommend children 4 and younger to have private lessons. They don't give refunds in some cases, however they do let you use the money for something else like a tennis lesson of anything else if it goes in the system.

When you walk in, you're hit with the smell of the chlorine pool. Not in a bad way though. It's always busy here, from the tennis courts to the dancing center. The staff here are predominantly Russian, but they work to provide you with the best experience possible. Everything is clean and tidy, and to top it off there's a lounge that serves piping hot food right after your workout. Dang it feels good to be here.

New courts are much slower than the old ones but still the best courts in town. Top notch gym and services. Cafe excellent. Physical therapy and cryogenic etc all in one spot has no equal around here.. NEW UPDATE: Bay Parkway location: they switched the orientation of the courts! Let the tennis world cheer! Courts are brand new albeit very gritty court, good for your spin game. Tougher on the knees. The place looks great still working out the kinks like don't forget to bring your own water bottle no vending machines yet. Looks great! Once they fix some of the nets to reach the floor it's a great option right off the highway. The lights can be a little blinding and traffic noisy and somewhat windy but all in all absolutely thrilled to have these courts back in action. It's been way too long... 5 stars for hearing the masses and looking forward to many matchpoints there...

My daughter takes swimming here. It is a beautiful facility, can't compare to the local YMCA. Her coach Valeriy Kopot is wonderful. He is amazing with kids, always positive, encouraging and unbelievably effective. In 3 lessons only she is starting to swim. So happy we stopped struggling with our old place and switched!

First thing I said when I walked into this place was “wow”. Very impressive facility with great tennis courts. Played there for an hour with a friend after not playing a few months due to the winter here in nyc.... If you love tennis and miss it in the winter this is the place! Only reason for 4 stars is because price was a little expensive and they don’t offer membership for the tennis courts.

As a sports club, Match Point NYC is fabulous. As an avid basketball player, it is hard for me to find a place to play in the city. The facility is clean and well maintained, and the staff is extremely nice. They are friendly and super knowledgeable. Next time I am on a business trip nearby I will make another visit.

I frequent a lot of tennis clubs and i really enjoyed the experience here. I dont know if it was the staff, professional instruction (Alex Roberman produced an intense lesson that i am definitely coming back for), clean look of the facility (the lighting and speed of the courts were perfect), etc but it was certainly worth the trip. A must for anyone in the metro area.

Overall, a very good and clean facility with professional staff all around, with just one exception. I have been coming here for almost two years and never had any issues. Always enjoy my time at upstairs cafe while waiting for my daughter's class to end. I hate giving negative reviews or naming names but lately, it's becoming an increasingly unpleasant experience coming to MatchPoint Cafe. The reason being is their manager Slava. I have never seen a more miserable looking human being; never a smile and communication skills are non existent. I gotta be honest, I stopped buying even a simple cup of coffee because of him. And that's a general consensus I hear from a lot of frequent visitors. Anyways, great place with a need for some customer service improvement.

The complex is nice but too much overpriced. You can get a cheaper membership at Manhattan sports clubs which are higher quality not to mention the location. The fee should be at least 50% off what it is now to meet the real Brooklyn criteria.

The best sport center ever. It is expensive! But you get what you paid for. Olympic size swimming pool, basketball court, gymnastics, gym, around 10 tennis courts... cafeteria at the 2nd floor with view at pool and tennis courts. Healthy food, smoothie, salads, vegiterian food. Also deserts and coffee. Also breakfast etc. Enjoying this place so much.

I go to MatchPoint for a CrossFit class. At first, I want to mention Serge and Abdu - the most professional and experienced, affiliated CrossFit coaches. They don’t let you relax and get bored during the training. It’s a really great class to train and achieve excellent results. The CrossFit space is perfect equipped with everything you need for a comfortable workout. Very convenient schedule - you can visit morning or evening class, or both :) All you have to do - is come and enjoy the result.

If you choose a hall, then only this one. Staff, equipment, everything is great 👍🏾 There is a gym on the territory, with all the necessary equipment, presumably for all sports, there are also classes where professionals train. There is a swimming pool, 25 meters, with an acceptable chlorine content. There are tennis courts. The locker rooms have a sauna, a shower and everything you need to clean up after a workout. There is also a class and training for children. I suppose that there is no better gym in this part of the city, I have not found (. And I am very pleased with all the services that I can get at MatchPoint. But one thing is missing for me, a cooler in the gym, sometimes when I forget the water, I really would really like a cooler in the gym or at least in the hall. Towels are provided, everything is clean and nice)))

Definitely, something needs to be decided with the pool (at least make a schedule), the staff is not friendly (almost everyone is on their phones, busy with their own business). Separately, I would like to note the work of Gulnara, very friendly, sensitive and responsive to all requests from visitors 👍

And then you come and you don’t know what to do with yourself if the paths are busy, and most importantly, the lifeguards do not participate in the life of the pool. I won’t say anything about the coaches, I’ve never seen ... more precisely, they apparently only deal with those who “book” them separately. In general, consider such an option as staying in the pool for 45 minutes per person
